Yes really . Several people who have gone from GW2 to GW1 have said just that because they have experienced the lore instead of just read it . Also the graphics aint that bad for being a 10 year old game .

other than the obvious scrolls of Experience and tomes of knowledge usinng a crafting booster and crafting yourself a few levels is always a good way to do it . other than that id say complete some 1-15 zones , not only are they easy but most of them have meta events which are good for XP

100% agree , its a luxury at best . If there was any per character item to complain about its the harvesting tools which sell for 1K gems each which is insane but again its not exactly a need .

I like love stories in stories, but they should happen naturally and not forced. Logan is very likely jenna-sexual or at least Jenna-romantic so i don’t think LoganxRytlock would be a good fit.
I actually can’t see Rytlock in any romantic or sexual relationship with any of the DE or DE2.0, including Rox, I can see him having cubs with one or several female charr in some Fahrar though.

I see where you’re coming from but just bare with me for a second and hear me out. For a moment, lets just forget about Logan, let’s focus more on Rytlock here. Rytlock is always so aggressive with Logan, kind of like how a young boy would passively mess with a girl that he has a crush on. Honestly I believe that Rytlock has these feelings for Logan more so than Logan has these feelings for Rytlock. I think that it would be touching if – near the end of the HoT story when you rescue Logan from the pod, instead of having it so that we don’t see or hear from Logan anymore we can have it that Logan joins the fight because Rytlock runs over to his unconscious body, very concerned for his friend’s well being, and breathes heavily on his face causing Logan to wake up.

You could introduce their relationship this way, instead of breaking the current story.

I love reading. I read constantly and in many different media. When I start reading, I like to do the story from beginning to end.

Pre-HoT I would level my characters to 80 via WvW and Crafting and most recently via Tomes of Knowledge so I could do personal stories from beginning to end uninterrupted.

When I read Game of Thrones, I did not have to ever stop reading to go learn about combat, or swords, or assassins. I did not have to stop to do anything else if I did not want to. There was no gating mechanism in place and I could enjoy my story as I saw fit.

In the future, please don’t include mastery gating for the main story. If you want the pve nerds to grind forever so they have the illusion of content, then find some other way so I can do my story, then get back to my WvW.

This is not how you do proper story telling.

That doesn’t really negate the point. The guy with brittle bones could play Football and never break a bone on 100 plays and on the 101st shatter every bone in an arm. In either example if you know something can trigger you then you probably shouldn’t be partaking in it or accept the consequences from poor decisions. Again, not a laughing or dismissive tone here just a pragmatic one.

The problem with the brittle bones argument is he knows he could break his bones every game but in the game effect case if i’ve seen it 100 times without issue im probably not thinking the 101st is going to make me seize

Honestly if you have had seizures a long time it gets to the point where you’re kind of " hang on im gonna have a seizure " and it just kind of is a casual subject . You can enable and disable the mentor tag not the boon itself .

Legends don’t necessarilly are dead. Look at Jalis, i’m pretty sure he is not dead, even if we don’t know, but in gw1 he was just turned to stone fighting primordius’ minions in the abyss. The fact is that legends are not spirits, look at fractals with scarlet bruyar or other things. Some people let a mark of them in the mist and it’s this echo that channel revenants. How do you think Shiro’s spirit can be in several bodies at the same time? It’ coz it’s just an echo of him. So, Jalis state is unknow but he is probably alive. So you don’t specially need to be dead for being channeled it seems.

I would see a condi weapon range yes, but more something like a longbow (pyre fiertir) or a scepter.
But anyway revenant still a beta class and have LOT a work to be decent like other classes so we have the time for next elite spec.

Thing is, the post was about PvE and WvW players – PvP players are somewhat different from WvW, who are more community-based than people who just skirmish in PvP matches.

WvW /PvP is all the same to me the scale changes nothing .The fact remains PvE oriented people have been far more friendly in my experience . In all honesty the OP using LA as an example is a terrible once since its the crossroads between PvE and WvW/PvP players so who’s to say which population is being rude in that scenario ? Step into any other zone and ask a question and i guarantee you there will be someone willing to answer if they know .

So I don’t know if this is the usual but I usually pvp or wvw and I came to notice the difference of people on pve and wvw are. I go to lion’s arch or anywhere in the pve world and ask for help only to be ignored and when they do respond they make it sound like a hassle to help out. In wvw, the people there actually coordinate and help each other out. They relay things to you just to let you know what’s going on without really asking too. It seems a much more tight knit than pve content people. Sadly, I’m starting to give up getting help on pve content and just stick to wvw. It really depends on your style of play . If you like getting in peoples faces then Thief is the way to go where as if you prefer a bit of room Mesmer is . One thing to keep in mind is that Mesmers have more room for error since the Mesmer has 15,922 heath at 80 where as the Thief only has 11,645 which is a significant difference . I personally find Mesmer to be more fun than the Thief since you have more utility . Then again my Mesmer is my main where as i havent touched my Thief in over a year ( both 80 ) so ive got a bit of a bias

Honestly the EP is just kind of meh and can be rather frustrating at times in comparison to the base game. The problem is that free players are incredibly restricted on what they can do making HoT a must . The base game is vastly superior though all things considered

The only time I’ve seen more than one or two tags on a map was when someone demanded in map chat that they turn off the “NOOB TAG”.

HA! This gave me a bit of a chuckle and i saw the exact same thing happen once at Teq . the salt was real that day . As for the tag itself i have no problem with it since it doesnt have any of the extra features a Commander tag does . It also works well for when there is no commander in a zone and you need to organize for a meta event .

The story part felt short and rushed to me There was a lot they could have done with it and yet nothing really happened at all .

Rytlock can go die in a fire for all i care hes nothing but a punk . Eir was the best out of all of them and now she’s dead . What kittenes me off the most though is they couldn’t even kill her off properly .At bare minimum they should of had her die fighting and they probably would of found a way to screw that up too.
