24 servers, means more players spreaded, less players stacked, more empty tower to cap, more pro figthign pvd, i heard pvd is eotm pro stuff.

Btw if your guild had 500 members doing WvW your server would not be on the linked queue, and Devona rest is a very small server, you guys are ranked at 18, not 15.
The last time i fough you guys it looked like you guys could need a help couse was already a empty server.

Btw if you guys gona be merged and since theres more server pride than guild pride, why dont u guys reform the server for something more coordenated with the present guilds from DR?

A fresh restart would not hurt.

Eotm teaches nothing but bad habits to the future WvW players, they think wvw is all about flipping empty towers and bring 20+ for a camp flip.

I disagree with every assertion in the OP aside from one. The linked servers should have something that keeps their identity (to the opposing team since we can’t tell from within our own link).

WvW is vastly better then it was a few months back. The total opposite of ‘dead’.

Pretty much this^.

IMo they should just merge all servers into 3 faction and then add more new maps, like 4-6 maps per faction, more if needed, but since europe as a diferent server disposal i think this would be hard to be done.

WvW is much more alive.

Well as much i love dersert BL, desert still needs a few tweak, if they want few effects on they should just add the sandstorm and remove all the others pve’ish map effects.

But alpine is doing nice, the server as have like 8-12 roamming the alpine BL, that will also help defend the towers and castles, and enemy blobs even if we are outmaned quit the map, if they see one defender, wich means more ppt.

Theres is no point of bringing desert BL, if guilds dont even fight in the Alpine BL, they wont do it in the desert BL, all what most wvw players want is free castles to take, wich was what they were expecting by gettings alpine back.

Something arround this:

Mace AA Faithfull Strike with better heal cleave.

Invigorated bullwarks
Start at 250 by equiping mace and reach 500 or 750 by combat, effect needs to last a bit longer if possible, since it tends to be really risky to play mace nowadays.

Symbold of faith:
Dunno, has low damage, low heal, dunno what to tell, i only use it to force bad players burning a dodge, players tend to dodge red circles…

Protector Strike:
Reduce the CD by 2 sec.

Shiren.9532 siege is there to counter PVD, 50% is still fine, at least encorages players to atack, ive been on defending this last days… running a few yaks for upgrading deploying some siege, and when zergs 40+ comes if aint free take they will not even drop siege to take the tower or try to pvd.

This a bad move overall and I see no need for it. T3 keeps with invulnerable gates are a challenge to take but that part of the fun. Many people prefer a challenge.

Ive seen the contrary, Blobs only cap empty stuff, the 50% damage is not a big change.
Most gw2 players hate effort, avery effort is to much even 1 defender.

You would still have T3 walls/doors on your third, although it would give the invading servers a stronger foothold on foreign maps, encouraging cross-map gameplay and strategy rather than home-bl bunkering.

I don’t know how anyone could say increased activity would be a negative thing to the game mode. Skilled groups would easily counter ktrains and either way a t2 keep with a lot of defensive siege is not that easy to take when defended.

Right now T3 keeps only flip when there is a low in defender population, that’s not tactics or strategy, that’s just dull.

They are easy to take, just dont run away if u see a defender, get a team and play to get that tower, that is the only fix, every castle and tower has its free and cheese spot to be taken, a t2 is butter to take.

They added a stronger T3 to actually avoid the easy karma train even so, it is not hard to do it.

Dont blame the defenders, gw2 player just dont like effort and love easy wins, reason they search for empty towers and them blame their poor effort on the defender.

I think you should change server or find a really good commander.

This is also the player quality that wanted alpine back and now QQ that cant farm it…

we actually dont need that much of a change into boons but more small tweaks to other things, at least we need 2 or 3 changes in some traits or class itself.

Here is a few ideas, not ment i would love to see them all implemented :P :

-Guardian do need a bit boon % outside staff.

-Symbols heal and larger would be fin and nice to be vanilla, on some weapons, example, mace guardian is very short range combat due being slow symbol would help alot.

-Guardian need boons a bit stronge, if no boon duration is present.

-Guardian Sword and mace need traits and some skills revised.
Sword, remove the static cast from sword 3 at least, increase the AA swing speed a bit.
Mace trait needs to give 250 healing power and goto to 500, also effect needs to last a bit longer, i hate when it vanishes and im still on midle of a fight…

-Guardian consecration like sanctuary needs to be changed,CD and bigger dome or add resistance.

-Guardian SW need the trait on zeal to be vanilla, no trait for SW, and SW moving speed needs to be increased to actually hit something, andproabably make them a bit more sturdy or with more stronger effect.

-Guard needs a more HP on core class, the trait is really awfull, since healing power poorly works on the class.

-Staff skills need some tweaks, like staff 5 CD, and some effect/boon for the party.

If some of these were introduced to guard i would not mind to call it balanced, at least the health pool, SW, and simbols change, simbols imo need to be strong w/o trait burn.

The issue will still stay, some classes on sturdy stats still hit alot on bunker guard and bunker guard is a wet noodle, offering almost nothing to the team, the trade off with the actual game balance is the problem guardian sacrifices to much to a low gain, and imo is where guardian stayed behind.

GvG probably could have been esports for GW2 — certainly much better than the PvP it has now — if it had been supported 2-3 years ago. Lost opportunity by Anet, who never liked GvG.

Anet really needs to test that out, 8/10 man gvg + plus another pvp model + ladder, similiar maps and mechnics to gw1 gvg.

Yeah i would like to avoid the relinking, some servers are to small and should be merged.

@Swagger.1459, you may join or unity, temporaly… relink will put players that were used to your gameplay against you, i would like to call at least the relink a betrayal system.

Also feels a slugish fix lets see if this wont be worse.

I’ve soloed everything on my Elementalist, Warrior, Guardian and Necro. That means camps, towers and yes, keeps. Never solo’d SM but I’ve duoed it.

pretty much possible i know people hwo had done with a t3 SM it while their blob was flipping empty bl’s.

I would prefer the polls to be focusing on the more important matters, particularly, population balancing. I hope that the dev team has a plan or steps or whatever to achieve this within acceptable period before wvw become unhealthy once again.

To me, everything else are not important.

I would suggest a poll to determine the importance of things in term of ranks, instead of a poll of your selected choice.

Population is a to volatile and unstable variable to work arround, and rank only means more cover nothing more.

So you suggesting to give up population balancing then?

To rank something is to list something from the most important to the least important. This will create a clear guideline on what is important to the community as a whole and what is not.

Population imbalance will always be imbalanced, people come and go at the midle of the week, groups changing server, a server having more players at a time then the other etc, there are several fluctuating constants that unbalances population during a match even after a relink to balance population, imo that is trying to hide the real issue.

Sorry but the relink server rotation looks a sluguish fix, and there are other ways to balance that a little bit more.

Sounds like it. These are the exact counter measures provided against ktrains.

Still not a hard counter, Ktrain will just spawn more rams into it, and towers/clastles are easy to take due everything has a very easy spot to stress up the defenses that they will loose it.

Lol…you guys can effortlessly have a longer period stealth longer than thieves…We have nothing if we try to continue to stay stealth, all initiative is gone. What a joke.

… and do what with it? Thieves actually benefit from their stealth. What do Scrappers get? The novelty of walking around invisible. WOW! better nerf that.

yet another example of a thread where someone does not make a critical evaluation of a whole class when calling for nerfs. Just the odd skill here an there.

scrapper stleath gyro meants: please aoe here for free win, theres a possible reason ive used the stealth gyro due having low health.

That’s why I liked desert borderlands. You could split your force and make the blob chose what they wanted to defend. The map is big enough to allow for strategy. Alpine is so small it encourages blobing.

But most of the players dont want that, they wan to blob flip stuff easilly and QQ when theres defenders with siege.. well defending…. even when castles have a few spots that are easy to stress up defense alot and breach it.

Guilds are just chat rooms, with grind for WvW win gimmicks (banners spamming).
Oh.. and pve blob spam events to kill a mob with huge pool health….

Compared with GW1, guilds just don’t seem to matter very much in GW2.(…) /shrug

2500 is really good for GW2.

1st season had… ~7k in best moments?

People learned how good this game is at the end.

Anet would have better momments if they continue to use the gw1 pvp system, and try to envolve from that point, dont change what is working, or serve from that mommentun to improve it.

Another thing is that Gw2 classes were designed to blob and spam/aoe pve mobs, and forced into pvp, that and lack of balance, and when Anet introduces a meta, it becomes a useless for some classes and to much for others, the gap is huge, much bigger than play meta groups on gw1 against non meta party group.

Still Anet keeps enforcing a broken model, while they continue that, view wont raise much more or will tend to decline, forcing players to go class X or Y to power damage and sustainbility is the most of balance jokes ive seen.

Gw1 pvp/gvg > gw2.

sorry about the bad english, but as a player that tends to play mostly pvp games i cant even watch the stream of this game… it is not pleasent to see.

Shouts were initial designed to use the boon duration from the inital class concept , with so many boosts to other classes and boon duration removed from game to be spreded into trinket stats, it killed the guardian even more, since we cant play the right stats where the class atributes need strong numbers in pair with the inital boon duration.

Guardian was designed to be strongly deppendent from boons, now it needs a few tweaks to be in pain with other classes.

Some classes on bunker specs do very good damage, while guardian dont have survuabiity nor damage, and still lacks group support, a class that sacrifices that much and cant feel any role beside DH medi trapper killing bad players….. it is not in good spot and it is far from that…

You’re comparing apples and oranges here. One is an elite spec that grants access to a new set and two different class types.

They blatantly stated the elite specs were NOT supposed to be an upgrade in power or utility from the core specs. But it just was not true, some of the scaling with the elite specs (particularly with boons and power) are just ridiculous when compared to even the most similar abilities found on the core classes.

Everything, if you are against a low population server, Alpine map usually is empty, it would be better to have a 5 man team with very good builds just for the ocasion.

If theres more defenders, just roam taking the supply camps, provoking swords on the castles with Waypoint.

But dont forgget if you roam, u better play some very strong gimmick class for that role.

Colly servers will be unlinked and linked to another servers…. this is what ive understanded how linking works….

Some links were actually amazing and well don, the issue ic is that some servers will be linked to a variable way to unstable called population and will not be a good experience for those on the linked servers.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe most people prefer group fights between 10 – 25 players give or take some. But the 40+ endless blob fest is starting to get old. It usually starts out with multiple tags on the map then enemy brings the blob then we combine into a giant blob then the next team. It’s the same thing every day. Is there a solution to this? Should there be a solution to this or is this really what the majority enjoys?

This really is what the majority enjoys, according to the poll results.

ANet, by implementing world linking and accpeting the blobling majority’s “Yes” vote, has taken away any chance of a player not getting on a 24/7 blobfest server. Players no longer have any choice of server style, so I’m sorry, but you’re stuck with this incredibly boring, lame, blobby mode now. Good luck in EotM 2.

well if you got defenders on your BL most guild groups and swarmers will loose interest and go farm some empty tower on the other server.

This is the issue that needs to be fixed imo, players have more incentivation for fight empty towers than actuallu fight for something.

Game dont offer much besides swarm spam wars, it is not a population problem only.

GvG needs to somehow be “shoehorned” into WvW and by shoehorned, I mean implemented seamlessly and act as if it was always an official part of WvW from the start, thus creating the real esport that is GvG.

World linking then needs to somehow be tied according to what guild rankings are what on each server. Would be complicated to implement for certain, but it is guilds that decide what server wins (to an extent).

GvG is not stack aoe and water fields…. install gw1 to see what gvg meants…. your is abit familiar duno why :\

Altoug it would be really really really really cool if they brough the GvG sheme to gw2, even i would try to bring IRL gw1 friends back to the game( they quited gw2 because low quality game on pvp/wvw).

On a serious note, Anet needs to stop making pve designed blob classes to be forced into pvp, if they fix that both pvp and wvw will be a much better exp and more towards player skill.
Still on my engie its far better than playing DH or guardian…

Game is not designed to all stats work with all classes, that is the same as waitting for Santa Claus, having it avaliable does not meant classes uses it well.

you should see the pain it is to play bunker Guardian then, the class have sturdy traits and skill while they dont work that well.

I would love to see stats locked to classes it would brin diversity and probably more easy to balance.. at the end since they could be changed it individually.

Viirus c´mon it is not hard to understand, they cant simple add an item to the game, because classes are to broken with those items….

Anet dont balance classes, they change one meta to a more flavourable meta to avoid staleness on the game play, to add sturdy spec they would have to balance most of the classes using those stats and that is one thing that Anet avoids to.

Dont get me wrong i do play bunker, but on this game it is to much broken from what a bunker should be in gw2…. it becames to strong or to weak deppending on the class.

well then more people should join me and speak out for bunker players and tanks..why should we be the ones to suffer an injustice..people should call for Anet to fix it..and the more that speaks out for it the more weight it will carry..instead of trolls and attacked based classes laughing about it and saying play another way. they should want it fixed to prove they are truly great at pvp..instead of having the deck stacked in their favor and staying they are good. it’s easy to win when the deck is stacked in your favor..i want to make this an even battle..

@virus gw2 pvp is not about play your gamestyle, it is about play what flavour Anet makes strong, and effective and who plays the “gimmick” better.

Reason many love ALpine and leave a t1 paper tower when they get hitted by just one normal AC :| , or even fail and be holder by one player cause blob only want to pvd… and move in search for another tower if cant pvd it fast.

Most WvW players are just karma swarmers, cause swarm empty towers on WVW maps looks cooler than swarm empty shrines eotm.

GW2 WvW needs a bigger change besides stack players so the spam wars can hide the gamemode issues.

virus.4370, the issue is that some classes on bunker specs do to much, as holding 2 or 3 players at will, and Anet dont fix that, they rather remove trinkets to hide on awfull class design is careless about putting aoe spammy pve design classes into pvp field.

They admitted that matchmaking builds one team that has high chance to win vs team that has way lesser chance to win. They basically make you lose on purpose so people with higher MMR can move up which results in a lot of losses or huge winstreaks depending on side. You basically never have even matches. Garbage design is garbage.

This game been out for 4 years, i just don’t understand why they refuse to make algorithm that tries to make teams that both have 50% win chance.

If that is truth it makes sense, A matched to a lesser group B, then B matched lesser group called C, and C to D, every one wins at the end, and everyone will continue to play, also might atrack more skrits, i ment pve players to pvp.
