Dhemize.8649, i would just reward with badges and random item, more rewards should come about offense and defense events.

Also guilds/players that want certain items should atack X,Y,Z castles/tower, that would make stuff desirable for obtain certain materials instead of just flipp it becouse we can swarm a empty tower for chests.

like:
-EB central map with big castle/city to take
-Sorrounding maps, as big and much more plain desert, alpine, tundra, savanah, dense florest.
-and then add the BL maps.

*note, maps would have different population cap, due its size, desig,. number of towers.
Asking this because make servers rotation, as in linked now to A and then to B, i think that removes alot from what WvW should be, it takes out some importance of WvW, makes the gamemode even weaker and uninterested.

Still guardian on nomads would be easy to beat, it woul be needed 2 guardian stacked for good bunkering against some builds, no damage and sturdy with good surviability is a mirage, on other classes well.. that is another story, for some reason Anet took out some trinkets intead of starting balance the game with proper itaration.

Restringe trinkets stats by class , instead of remove them from the gamemode.

better off just running around the map weaponless……

Guys come on we ALL know that Dragon Hunters are clearly the favorite class in this game, they are so unbelievably OP it’s stupid, zero counter play to this class they need to nerf all the damage by 20%.

It is not Guardian that is that weak, it is the other classes that do to much when they sacrifice is litle compared with guardian, while those classes still outperform guardian playing defensivly or offensivly.

This is why guardian isin bad shape, Anet desings “placebo gimmick” to make players efective while playing other classes and dont abandon the game.

don’t know what to tell you. if the server linkings were meant to be permanent, they could have just merged them….. I expect there to be a lot of complaints on how often they re-link and how they are re-linked. I voted No to the linkings so don’t care anymore myself.

I actually tough the link was a way to test it before merging, having re-links all the time.. looks weird, and not logical for the people playing always with diferent players.

Imo what they should do would be re-link some and add a 3rd link server to some servers that need it.

Population is a very very unstable variable for the re-link to work… it will be a mess.

That would be an interesting approach too, actually. I agree that siege cap needs to be tweaked, but I kinda see that as a separate issue to Shield Gens being OP. At the end of the day, 3-4 Catas/Rams protected by 2-3 Shield Gens are going to be just as broken as 6 Catas/Rams with Shield Gens.

That being said, it would be nice if gates/walls lasted a little longer vs large groups…6+ rams/catas will shred whatever they are hitting. All of this is exacerbated by the fact that many people can carry 25 supply now…building a mass amount of siege is much easier now than ever before.

Bay also has those spots for outter and inner.

They need to reduce the chaos. PvP should become more clear, more tactical. Currently, everyone throws around their aoe’s and the team that happens to be better at spamming wins. This is mainly due to all the skills that came with HoT. But now you cannot simply nerf/remove them. And that’s the problem.

That is what gw2 is ment to be, if they wanted that fixed thou would design classes and skilsl more towards that.

The momment Anet started to design classes to pve and make then in the pvp field, this never ends well, it should be the other way arround,more balance more single target, more better timmings to spike/ gank needed or even interrupt.
Gw2 pvp system is ment to short the gap between new players and more dedicated players.

I personally would prefer they just came up with a GvG system like they had in GW1. I have wanted this since day one of GW2. That system was great, had it’s own maps, it had alliances with their own chat channel too. That is what they should do for GvG in GW2. WvW is its own game play and should remain that.

And that would make GvG system the only decent ganemode gw2 offers, if was similiar to gw1 with ladder and all the structure.
So they wont do that.

1 – It wont be good, players want easy karma trains, and your game dont offer much besides swarm spam wars., until desert BL isnt a free easy to take players wont consider it.
Most gw2 players dont want effort reason many wanted to old Alpine BL, still empty, tower wars trebs, short running faster karma train, less effort at the end.

2 – world relink does not look that a bright idea, looks a temporary placebo solution, sice the main issue it not fixed nor solutions presented.

3&4 – playesr only want to play Anet lame aoe spam wars, siege is most of time considered to be antigameplay.
Still some siege should stay structure base, like mortars and cannons.

EDIt: U guys already have mortars on engie, if game does not allow them to use a skill due skill being useless or incompatible with the game concept it means it is a game design fault, and at my eyes Engie is not alone.

5- That would be very interesting, and would make siege more valuable since it can be fixed, it is a nice thing to test.

It’s called WvW, not GvG for a reason. Same reason it’s not called “Solo Roaming World”

LOL… these guys are simply never gonna give up on their eternal quest to transform WvW into their own personal GvG arena… and to hell with all the casuals/pugs that don’t fit in. You see their insidious plotting in other topics too, such as the “we want hidden commander tags !” threads that occasionally pop up. :-D

Those doing swarm coliding arent even doig GvG, just blob spamming , to see who owns by spamming more waterfield and red circles….

Hummm, the re- linking is still happening for testing purposes, or it doesnt matter and those server will be randomlly linked with other bigger servers?
Wont that damage smaller servers even more?
Wont that create more imbalance on the process?

Why make even that temporary, why not stabilize the game popupalation with locks and small merges?

You need new worlds indeed, but not as addition to the current mess, but has to be new. That needs good rules, well mantained constant balancing (the old was abandoned so long that ended in an unfixable mess). Megaserver has to be it’s source of new recruits, anyone has to be able to join any guild or alliance from any former old world.

How that new system will be can be debated and decided, the current communication it’s excellent props to the new WvW team at Anet. Everyone won’t be pleased and can’t be, but the aim hast to be to save the game mode, though in a new form, that can be
1. fairly better balanced, designed from scratch to achieve this – no. 1 priority – thus keeping every side competitive
2. rewarding – whether gold, or special items, including long term work to obtain ascended and legendaries for participation, and so on

That as many think would not kill the comunities, each comunity could organize in their map and back up each other as blob usually do to cover the empty alpine BL when is being karma trained.

To contrary of the majority of players I dont mind getting killed by a better player / stronger build. You cannot win everything. So why would I run from a fight that i cannot win? If you mean avoid a zerg or an outnumbered situation I think you need to check better the skills.
Wings of resolve, Line of Warding and whichever else utility on the empty slot.

Say that to all warriors, and scrappers, imo DH/Guard imo is really easy to defeat or counter, but that is a class issue that has been poorly taken care, it is to week depending on power creep situations, with to many weaknesses, being the very low sustain the biggest issue, that might the issue i notice on your build but not your fault at designing the build.

Since it’s seeming increasingly likely that World Linking is going to win the community vote and become a permanent Gw2 feature, the team has been discussing ways to improve the system, especially around further improving population balance, while still allowing players to reliably play with their friends and guildmates.

Hypothetically speaking, if we were to open some additional worlds (and at this point I still don’t know how much work, or how safe a change like that would be), but if we did, would there be player interest in transferring to these new worlds? The new worlds would have lowered population caps, be free to transfer to for a period of time and be immediately linked with existing lower tier worlds..

The ultimate goal of this hypothetical plan would be two-fold:
1) Give players/guilds that are too big for their ‘Full’ status world an opportunity to move to new worlds, enabling them to grow more easily again.
2) Achieve a larger number of smaller worlds that we can link together to achieve more balanced numbers for each team.

Again, this isn’t something we necessarily can or will do. The purpose of this post is just to quickly feel out community interest, to see if it was worth spending the time it would take to seriously investigate this option.

Theres no incentivation, for guilds to do that, game is all about swarm empty stuff, or bring a a cluster to easy take anything fast.

As much i got impressed with the result of linking/stacking some worlds together, and looked a very logical way to not introduce megaserver and still stack servers, the state of WvW at the momment lacks alot, what im trying to say is that theres poor content to fight for, Guilds and players need a more indepth concept for WvW, you guys at Anet added allot of awfull gimmicks, like banners and tactvators, wich dumbed down alot the game.

-Why would those guilds want to move to lower tiered servers if would be the same ppt swarming stuff, offer easy karma trains??? Would spending time doing that actually improve the game mode? I, dont think so.

Wich means that stacking players will mantain the same issues, the good options added to WvW are still nill.

@Tyler Bearce.3427, seriously theres a few changes that are needed to be done in WvW before that, as much your guys stack players game is loosing interest, game keeps old faster by not having decent stuff to fight for, and i have a request, disable the kitten tactivator and banner gimmicks for a weak.

Siege mechanics in general need an overhaul, to much abuse and overuse. Siege wars is more boring then scouting and watching wildlife run around…

WTB WORKING SIEGE CAP

It is a gimmick game based not much brain is needed besides know wath will make players win faster and easy even if it means cluster play, swarming everything in lesser time, as much i wish mechanics improvement that is not how Anet showed us how they work.

XTD, what makes WvW a mess is not the siege alone, theres serveral aspects that are killing the gamemode, giving less option over time for players, and thus Anet added gimmicks like banners and other kittens to cover that…

Hardly will improve.

Ive been sieging alot the past weeks bunkering in Alpine towers, and on my play time all i see is clusters looking for stuff to easy take, if one defender apears they drop of, even when using a AC doig 300 damagr to players and 100 to siege …

We need more objectives in WvW
Siege and tower/keep redesign with, taking in mind a no gimmick concept.
Both Alpine, and Desert BL, need strong changes to be decents maps, one is to easy to cap, and other is to confise cause players want everything easy and free aka no effort.

Some mobs will still kill your tanky guard if u dont know what skill have to be blocked and dodged, so DPS is much better for pve and much mor eeffective, play for power damage for easy gameplay and use well your dodges and trap spam if u have DH.

Theres still some tweaks to be made, and that is what they are asking, the servers “merge” still needs some work (alot of work), still look it was a good change.

On T4, theres, defending, groups, squads(smaller blobs), theres a bit of everything, offcourse during some good time of the day we are completelly outmaned, atm the time i have to play it is 2-6 players vs stacked blob capping empty stuff all we can do is delay.

Blob that only cap empty stuff will cry hard, and hardly Anet can fix server time zone, since wvw is 24/7.

I voted yes for more better tweaking.

Apart from other differences:

Scrapper = Medium Armor – Guardian = Heavy Armor

They have more 5k health than guard, damage reduction diference from light to heavy is arround 10%-15% damage reduction, so medium is arround 7%, not much of diference, since damage reducers dont stack.
Also Engie toughness starts at 2000, guardian arround 2200, guardian health is to low for the the toughness to be effective, or noticeable, and investing in healing power is a HUGE mistake since will kill the guardian damage, it will end with low damage and still low surviability.

Still scrapper is in much better shape than DH, DH are easy to kill and scrappers are not.
DH cant beat sturdy classes, scrapper in sturdy builds still does good damage, with every good surviability, guardian/dh dont.

The linking was kinda positive for my experience, the only issue i noticed was the size of the server, some small servers ended teamming with small servers as well while fighthing bigger servers, in that points something went wrong, and needs to be taken care.

I dont mind, so i voted yes, but still need some better refining.

How are the queues looking for everybody nowadays? Seems most of the hype of both Alpine maps and wvw rewards have cooled down a bit, as I type this for FA/BP there’s no queue on a single wvw map.

I’m on BG. There are still queues.

NSP rare queue on eb never other bl’s, duno how is on reset….

Anet does not want players playing specific classes, builds, etc… That whole mindset and any arguments or thinking it’s based on makes no sense. Honestly, there is no motivation for Anet to boost or reduce the number of players using any particular class in this game; there is no trinity.

Metas change, that is what it is, whitout brand it as meta or o/w excuses or branding it with another name… classes go down and uprise with gimmick builds.

And, so if one class being lackluster is good? While keep improveing other classes that are already good, sometimes buffing what is really strong and sometimes nerfing the wrong place, or overnerfing so player start thinking of playing another gimmick ?

Cm’on it is not hard to see…. and its not even matter of equivalence and performance, performance is very subjective word when carried to class balance….

What Anet is doing wrong is disabling builds in exchange of anothers it is not healthy for the game… while that hurts the entire game, the game dont offer much, and remove allot of those builds game gets even emptier no matter what GW2 lacks ALOT.

Players need more choices , not more gimmicks, it is not hard to understand that underperformed classes always existed, some players just want the below performance build to work, cause in most cases the class dont even work….cause wkittenered due other classes being boosted in several ways, it end being the paper of every scizor and the rock of every paper and never on the winning side, sometimes weapon choice is suficient to be lackluster in every aspect due how poorly class works.
And most of the situations is just a very small change to make it work …

SW still useless, consecrations need s little overhoul like sanctuary, shouts imo are ok, some mace and shield traits, and sword need a litle love etc, like i said it is the small changes that make class playable while being the underperformed class or with a very situational build, but is still playable, atm is happening the reverse of that.

Check the watter, there is some places where u can even hide golems underwater.
If i recall there was a spot where a player could clip a bit on top of norh wall near the montain, but i think it was fixed long time ago.

advice prepare frap to record the happening if cought on tape, PM or send info to Anet not on the forum.

i would reccommend the MSI Computer P Series PE60 6QE-031US intead of that one, usually they have similiar price but this one has ddr4, a 960m, and a skylake i7 6700 cpu.
goes arround 700-900 deppends on reseller and country :\

I went with the 17inch screen, the laptop barelly heats while gamming :\, the only issue on cheaper gamming laptop is the batery :P need a nuclear powered central on my pocket XD, even when doing some work.

Couple of notes:
- I noticed that it’s getting harder and harder to kill things. Warrior passives just adds to the annoying auto pilot gameplay this game has.

Why is auto knockback on guardian longbow still a thing?

Because we need it…….

One of the issues that every one talks is the huge performance gap on playing how Anet want and the classes Anet want players to play, and the other is playing with what the classes offers wide.

What can be good on adding traits to classes if they become broken as hell or completelly useless?
Balance based on looking good or how flashy a class is?
Balance based on how a dev feel a class should be played with a strong and easy gimmick, wich results on everything that class has doesnt matter anymore, besides a gimmick skill rotation?

Nothing comes good from this… Gw2 is not LoL or the other that comes form the moded WC3 that i cant remmember the name, it is easy to spot how Anet want mobas players on their game, but with the actuall skill design it ends to avoid them only the very bad players comes to see if they can be better here with the Anet gimmicks.

Very wrong things are happening on this game…. Anet even created easy win gimmick on WvW.. it ended broken as hell, players raged, same goes wiht classes, making stuff just for ESL propaganda while gameplay is broken oustide Anet desirable classes/ builds, it is the most of the ilogical ways to make a game grow…..

Reason the only viable medi trappers build only kill raly bot builds on the wrong hands :P
