most thing i hate is when they get invunerable due some high on the map or distance from their spawn but still atack you.

speed hack is a well known thing. i think the zoom hack is more annoying.

humm, speed hack (as WPE way) can also make you regenerate and reload skills faster, dont know if works here.

Ranged weapon are amazing if well played, there some actions as choose well your target, reason, check is boons and conditions, also ranger bows at close range can be nasty against most classes.

to cartoonish but acceptable there are more realist ones on mmo industrtry w/o being rendered, btw good screens u guys got there, i shoud had saved mine :/

a net is trying to make the wvw balance but still doesn’t know how to do it since its kinda easy but actually very hard to do due many factors involved in it, too many to mention.
and i think making people transfer is just killing the game, there are many other cheap ways to make money for mmo company and i am glad a net didn’t do that

anyway there is an official thread for this problem, put your suggestion there and let a net heard what you want to say. it “may” make a difference just keep your fingers crossed

Only solution would be redesign WvW and Map but we know that wont happen.

That’s why you see Teso, WS, and FFXIV returning to sub models. The stuff that players want is just too expensive to do for free.

I played archage while the proxys i was using allowed to do it, i loved the concept of player build their own world and the game is like playing Eve, pitty combat/movement was a bit clunky compared with gw2, if gw2 turned into at least a pseudo sanbox game (openbox = themepark+some sanbox implementations) would be a great asset.

Nope, pitty i dont have a Screenshot (lold S.S apeared as Kiten), i just ignored and alt+f4 at that time, btw there are several builds that can mostly insta down classes with low health, max damage i took was arround 20k-21k (using guardian with 25k health) form a zerk killshot warrior, i noticed also he was always waiting for me to pop up my shouts+boons, only way was to bring wall of reflection, this was when i decided to make a musketeer warrior also and it is a excelent sniper to kill over extended heroes.

That combat with the thief lasted 3-4 seconds i evaded the firsts atacks after that i was just a ragdoll (its not the first time that happens) .

Other thing is on cambat console/chat, the %crit does not appear only the raw damage you make and take, heartseeker there ware arround 16k i added +2k for the crit.

WvW wont be redezigned, maps are limit by game how engine works, and seems it is hard to work on that engine since they dont envolve it.
WvW is fine, its what anet wanted in my opinion, and if u pay atention its the same as AB on gw1 they just added walls arround the shrines and ways to get those walls down, in AB some groups decided to gather all 3 groups in one already, if i recall this was a good option sometimes in the kurzick map.

WvW wont envolve more than it is now.

I think it is because GW2 isn’t a traditional MMO that doesn’t follow the holy trinity of tank, healer, dps. I simply love this idea but other people don’t feal the same way. They think its dumb and imbalanced.

GW2 isnt the frst on its genra, and its dumb, i got builds that mostly instadown several classes builds the armor they have does not matter (usually use my thief when ultra bored), same happens when i play guardian people do that do me also, this isnt play skill but just press button to win, i guess most of players dont understand how really mechanics work here.

I stopped playing anything else than WvW. I’m in Vabbi, the small scale server.

But the rest of the game is so bad, even if WvW is not that good, the rest is even worse.

I imagine this being just a fast work arround and rework later the GvG system???

Actually while on blobbing i run shield of the avenger + Sanctuary + Wall of Reflection or Hallowed Ground and Shield of Absorption makes a very good protection over ranged characters.

I do like Shield of the avenger but stoped using it after patch that made it 1hit kill, most of the time doesnt even stand 1 second “alive”, when i click to activate SoA starts reloading due shield being destructed and not having time to get activated even once, spirit weapon are more like a burden slot, consecration goes on te same way imo.

Guardian design is interesting but is far from fit in the game, becouse most of utility skills are way to easy to counter and that makes them almost useless.

I think i have like 62% of the map explored, no Tyrian trecks done but i tried end always on altf f4.

I tough was Abadonsih creature behind Scarlet(if it is scarlet look different).

Actually i did care about server pride and all WvW on the server i played we all had.

looks good, and i can return to a sword build again.

I crafted stuff that will never be used, and sink gold on it, after reach 400 (took me like 30minutes, bought all stuff from the BLT), i was amazed by the price gap of the items needed, i felt forced before to aquire ascended trinkets still, need the backpiece becouse mine is not even exotic.
I will not have full exotics gear and by far of that and the amazing class work we have at the momment, gameplay will require more zerg grouping and be more disgusting.

Imo i dont know if there are any kind of hardcore gammers on gw2 and does not look that Anet wants hardcore players offcially in the game since ascended content is far from being hardcore stuff, its just a pretend to be, and here is a small example why, i used to play games that needed uber rare drops on castle siege chests (guilds had to defend the castle 1 full month for those rewards, chest would drop each 7 days with 3-4 rare items ) to craft just one of the items for the weapon recipe, and that in my opinion is content for more hardcore players, quests that would require time, group work and some dedication.

Since im a WvW player and dont do other kind of content stoped playing my guardian after have some ascended trinkets, no backpack , now playing thief (easy mode) and making some daylies for ascended trinkets but in another account.
Ascended weapons is way to expensive to reach craft lvl and craft gear for players that only do WvW, trying to aquire laurels for some trinkets atm.

I think it is easy to criticize the gem store but it is full of non-essential items. Other MMOs would have put the wallet into the gem shop as a purchasable item, or made the wallet part of a purchased expansion. We got the wallet for free.

(It doesn’t matter that the wallet only solves banking issues created in game, other MMOs would still have charged us real money for it).

I actually think gem store the only good thing in this game, but there are other “items” i dont agree how game is being taken care of.
WvW could also lead into a BLT use if game was cleverly developed, but this is a common and normal themepark game.

vit is the best for WvW 3k armor is decent

On zerg blobing i run with 25k and 3.5k armor on my guardian, very good to survive the auto atack spam from the other zerg, if i run solo with this stats its a 2 seconds death still getting 10k~15k damage on 1vS1.

For some reason i also dont play my guardian anymore, if u cant beat them, join them.

There are no best profession for commanders i know excellent commanders that go from thieves, engi’s mesmers, it all deppends you attitude towards your populations and the result of your actions.

Well i would remove borderland bloodlust and would end servers bonus, this new map center in my opinion is far from being good, and rework some other mechanics as:
- reduce players damage to doors to 1 damage, would end the reinforced doors going down in less than 10 seconds by just PVD.

There are tons of good ideas that could be adopted into WvW… yet its full of bad concepts.

Make a race that can be boutgh on the BLT… gems gems everywhere!

Actually that is not entirely true, no matter how many rolls or armor u have there are some builds in 3 classes that can instadown any player in 2 seconds.

It is not the thief problem in my opinion, but a way how the game works, this game since its DPS based, full DPS classes (or classes designed to be the main DPS’s) will always be stronger than others that have more support skills no matter how many nerfs possible, all classes need a serious workout wich is a problem that is being hided becouse most only blob and spam 1 key.

Guardians aren’t bad, warrior is just a better choice and more versatile.

But don’t worry guys, you can still burst Courage and give everyone ONE block on a 90 second cooldown! That counts for something right? … Wait, blind condi does the same thing? … Crap, I guess you’re SOL.

In the brackets you brought only warrior’s capabilities. It’s only a half of a picture. Where the guardian’s, so we can compare?

So, as I’m reading this I’m moving a bunch of my stuff over to my warrior, but here are some things guardians do provide:

Wall of Reflection, when traited, has a pretty good use to reset ratio (almost 1:3, 12 seconds up time on 32 CD). It blocks a huge number of ranged projectiles and stays on my hot bar for almost every single encounter in a Fractal.

Shield of the Avenger is very good as well, offering a similar 1:4 ratio (20 seconds of use on a 60 second CD, which starts after it has expired). It feels clunky sometimes and, in my experience, will block most projectiles (some slip through between the spirit weapon’s casting sequence).

Stand Your Ground is good, though it is situational. Save Yourself and Hold the Line are useful only for those running 0/0/30/30/10.

Too many Guardian abilities offer boons that just are not very useful. Protection and regeneration are nice, but they do not make a significant impact on fights.

Who the hell keeps shooting against wall of reflection? are people that bad? also not all range weapon/kit are relected.
Try to apply a necro well removing boons on a guardian symbol, no boon for you now.
Shield of the avenger dies with one hit, and like wall of reflection easy to counter.

There are to many counters and easy ways to kill a guardian , that is why they are always my first easy target.

Just use a staff, no armor needed, if u dont want to show off, try the max vit u can get.

• Farm levels

• Farm exclusive items

As far i kinda agree u still have that option in GW2 just dont spend the money to the waypoint and use the map paths, problem i notice is only see 5 to 10 lvl 80 farming materials and the lack of the old mmo feeling . no new players arround to help or give a and.

swiftness via symbol and shouts do not combine well, if u keep insisting of trying to stack them sometimes boon gets removed or u cant stack swiftness, being with the symbol ot shout.

I havent worked on any of the craftsmanship becouse i only WvW(playing since start) so i wont be having ascended gear (except acessories by WvW dylies), and following the guides its a good option but cost alot of gold wich is hard to mantain due repairs and siege.

Since Ascended isnt even on the TP when the armor come out full ascended player might have a superiority over any other player, atm the game is just pick up the class with more damage to win, almost no thinking required, and with full ascended gear will be worse.
