If there was KDR stat it would completely ruin the game for me, it’s such an kitten whoring stat, I’ve done it in games like CoD. The only acceptable form of KDR would be if it was only in hot join matches and even then I would not be pleased.

I always have fast ground targeting on for my necro, it’s the only class where I couldn’t imagine PvPing without it turn on. It makes so much of a difference for me, but as others have said it’s all about personal preferences.
I’ve been saying for ages now that thieves need a complete rework, as balancing them (anyone with a brain can see they have some broken skills….) will just be too hard. The whole initiative thing was fun for a while, but now it’s time to make the change to cooldowns.
People saying they have no team fight potential….cluster bomb….all a thief needs to do is sit as a ‘safe’ place spamming nothing but this, and occasionally the poison and he’ll be doing ridiculous damage, it’s one of the best tools for attacking any of the mid points, especially Keep, given how small it is and how close the platforms from the back-route are to the capping zone.
Just have to wait for the meta to shift away from this incredibly tedious double/triple bunkers + mesmers kitten we have now before we see how strong thieves actually are…
I predict 1 change only. Which will be ‘fixing’ the only beneficially bugged skill a necro has, Spectral Walk. Leaving all the other bugs which hinder gameplay for a necro.
Why don’t you test it yourself? Or do you expect everyone else to do it for you?
Yes Backstab is really getting old now. What’s even more annoying is that they nerfed PW, yet didn’t touch the most broken skill a thief has, it’s more proof that Anet rarely ever PvP in their own game. Maybe next patch they will nerf Flanking Strike making more thieves migrate towards backstab.
I wonder how long it’ll be before people start realizing that Necro skills having similar animations is a good thing…
It’s a knockout format. round 1 is 4 matches, then the 4 winning teams from those go to the next round, which is 2 matches. The the winners from those go to the final round. You only need to win 1 match to get the bronze chest.
Do other classes get the option to reduce all 3 of their heal skill cd’s? I think not.
The other heals are much weaker…

If you really don’t like exploring then don’t go for 100%. If you do want 100% then check the maps on wiki, i’m pretty sure they’ll have the areas you miss, or is that too much work?!

Would be too strong, it’s already one of the best heal skills in the game. Giving it 20sec would just be…Stupid.
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned, but it’s not on the list. Absolutely no traits work while in Plague Form (assuming it’s the same for Lich, I don’t use it)…

A lot of the elite skills in gw2 are pretty meh. Only a handful are actually decent, they were supposed to be game changing when used at the right moments, but very few are…

No it’s not. Spectral Armor has a stun break, you can’t even compare the 2 skills.
SA is a really good skill, i’d put it in the ‘almost viable’ utilities necro have, along with a few others, that just aren’t as good as the 4-5 truly useful ones we do have. Spectral Wall on the other hand will go in the category of ‘almost never viable’ the etheral field is nice, but not something a necro can really take advantage of.
Yes the cd is unnecessarily long, it is definately confusing why the trait has 60sec cd and the skill 90.
But given the changes that necro have received I’m completely sure if this was to be addressed, it’s the trait that will suffer, going upto 90sec cd.
I hate to be that guy but this does very much sound like a l2p issue. Get more experience learn how to deal with the classes and you won’t feel like as much of a punching bag as you do now.
People complaining about not being able to 1vs2….play mesmer.
i dont understand so what if his swap was a staff u still switch in horn to gain run speed and @ 5:30 they were NOT fighting on a node so he was moving to a location or trolling for 1v1s

He done very little, I’m sure if the team he was on had someone with a useful build they would have won for sure, Jon Peters lost the match by choosing the run the most useless of builds…..wait that’s not even true since necro axe is by far the most underwhelming pile of garbage in the game.
But thank you JP for showing us necro’s how undeniably powerful DS and necro’s are in the right hands.
I predict next patch they’ll make it so you cannot death shroud while stunned or use doom while stunned/facing away from target!
I think they did mention a while ago they are looking to improve on the LFG function in gw2. It just needs something like what gw1 had, where you can see/join all the LFG messages from other servers in a UI which you can bring up.
So many people here fail to understand balance and are completely bias, thinking it would be ok if necro started on 100% LF….lol.
Necro does need to start with some LF but definitely not 100%, 20-30% would be fine, just to give some protection against being tunneled at the start of matches.
It went from our best skill, to unreliable and pretty much a waste of a utility now.

We NEED rankings, it’s without a doubt the most important thing that PvP in gw2 needs. I know many, many, many people who have quit because there’s no rankings, and it’s just not fun playing pugs when you’re a premade, or the other way around.
I wouldn’t mind if the devs involved in PvP dropped everything else and JUST concentrated on this, forgetting about the bugs/balancing. It’s completely needed…
What’s the point in rankings when you’d still just be playing against pugs with your 5man stomping premade. Notice how the OP didn’t say MM system, he said rankings and leaderboard. Even without rankings/leaderboards, filtering the bad/new from the good/veterans makes everyone happier.
Well, when I say rankings I think of matchmaking as well. It’s all 1 thing, for me at least.
Think of necro’s as the ugly duckling. Currently they are hideous and full to the brim with bugs but you know that one day they will blossom into something beautiful. I don’t know how much longer I can cope with it’s ugliness though….especially with this new plague signet bug.

Before the last patch the skill was still one of, if not our best skill. Now it’s so unreliable, just pisses me off that necro’s get all these game breaking bugs.
The word you are looking for is useless, not outrageous.
I would LOVE to see the reasons behind this ‘nerf’, since it effectively done nothing. Just about everyone who has spent time in PvP knows that phantasms hit ridiculously hard and naturally people complain about this, so what A-net does is ‘nerf’ them in the most idiotic way possible.
Didn’t read all of it, but here’s my 2 cents.
Spectral wall is terrible choice, the only reason why you’d take it is for the ethereal field, and you don’t really have any finishers, consider spectral walk instead.
Other things to consider, your runes aren’t very fitting since you have no need for condition damage and you can get 10% duration from other sources with more beneficial stats, try 2x lyssa and 4 of something else, ice or sanctuary both give +frozen. I don’t really understand why people go dagger OH when they are power spec, the other 2 OH’s offer so much more, especially when you’re dagger MH, warhorn has a nice cripple/swiftness and daze or focus has a long chill/boon strip and vulnerability, both of them have additional ways to gain LF, which dagger does not. Using reaper’s might trait is also something very helpful to power specs.
A lot of the times it’s probably because they are dodged/blocked or you’re blinded. But yes corrupt boon and BiP do sometimes miss, nowhere near 50%….
People have been asking for a fix since release, so this thread isn’t exactly going to make a difference, try using the search function, or even checking the stickied thread dedicated to necro bugs.
It’s been happening since release….And your server doesn’t matter, since the PvP matches are region based, euro or america.

Yes it does happen a lot, and it’s extremely annoying. And in my experience foefire seems to lag the most often, could just be my imagination though.
Plain and simply the difference between good and bad players is dodging. A good player will dodge as many important skills as his endurance will let him, a bad player will dodge randomly or not at all.
What if they dodge your immobilize? Then you’re just left with a crappy build for 25sec. People keep posting these useless builds because they got a few kills in 8vs8 where it doesn’t matter what build you run since people there tend to run equally pointless builds.
I would recommend high patience and high tolerance.
This is a very legit tactic, but I would only advise doing this on your base objective and that you have good vision/voice communication. The last thing you want is for somebody else to come while you’re keeping another downed.
Why are you using an axe, if you’re condition specced? You need screpter/dagger and staff, this is condition necro 101.
A warriors bull’s strike is pretty easy to dodge if you see it coming from a distance, if you do get hit by it go in to death shroud as soon as possible, to absorb a lot/all of the damage. When playing Necro you need to understand that if you make a mistake you will die in 1vs1, since it’s a very unforgiving class, so just practise and iron out the mistakes in your game play. Most mistakes involve dodging and random times or not dodging what needs to be dodged.
I think the trait attributes for necro should be:
Spite – power/crit damage
Curses – Condi damage/precision
Death Magic – Vitaility/boon duration
Blood magic – Tougness/healing
Soul Reaping – LF/condi duration
Ofc this is just my opinion and would suit my builds/game play perfectly.
But back on topic. I’ve been running with 30 in SR for a while now, in tornaments for the stability stomping which is very important. Running with 0/20/10/10/30, and it’s probably my favored setup atm. Also the soul marks is very handy at the start of matches, start off with your staff place a few marks down (not putrid mark or fear, you need to save these for more important moments) and you get an acceptable amount of LF back.
Absolutely 100% NO. It is an 8vs8 map, why on earth would you want the points so close together, it would be catastrophic if they did.
The best change they could make is making the ruins point an island, as in above water, but you still need to swim there.
