YOU are the one with the issue here.
They are using LFG as its intended, which is to find groups or services related to said content. That includes selling runs. I hope you are punished accordingly with filing false hyperbolic reports.
On top of that you have the audacity to come on the forums and virtue signal as if you have done a good deed.
That’s the whole problem. They’re not. they’re not using the LFG tool as intended.
I quote from anet: “the purpose of the Looking For Group tool is to form parties to play any of said content.” thats not what these people are doing. They are advertising their guilds and websites. I have no problem with selling runs, AND IF YOU READ MY POST YOU WOULD’VE KNOWN IT WAS ABOUT GUILD AND WEBSITE ADVERTISEMENTS AND NOT SELLING RUNS
*I hope you are punished accordingly with filing false hyperbolic reports.

I’m reporting people for not using the LFG tool properly.
“because I have the audacity to come forward * I’M REPORTING AN ISSUE HERE *

- Not all individuals are trained to fight or use magic, though all can innately use magic.
- NPCs are not bound by mechanics of armor and weapon restrictions. NPCs can use whatever they want.
As such, I would argue Caudecus simply doesn’t have a profession. He isn’t the kind of person to fight himself, but to use others to fight his battle. He doesn’t seem to be trained in magic – if he was, he would have used it against us in Episode 1 rather than just ordering others around. And he more than likely isn’t trained in any but the most basic of swordplay (the kind of swordplay you’d see in official noble dueling – in other words, a mockery of actual combat; kids play).
So his profession? IMO: “None.”
fair enough, he propably carries a sword and gun to kill people as he runs away.
but I do think he would be a better duellist than FarenI don’t know, with all of his a jungle experience, Lord Faren might be a better dueling ????
his jungle experience?
last I remember we did his training for him

AMD had less reliability though.
What is that even supposed to mean? Are you trying to say that AMD cards die faster? Because that’s a baseless statement.
As i said. Its personal experience. I could be an outlier on the graph. I just have horrible experiences with AMD and will never buy them again. But as I said. Its personal
So it’s an unsupported statement based on a single anecdote. All right.
so would be your amd support, I havent seen you linking evidence than amd is better. I never said it was statistically accurate what I said. I had an AMD once, broke within in a year. a friend of mine had a similar effect of a completely different amd. in retrospect I also had a 660ti (thats a GTX) and one other (I think it was a 970) that both lasted over 5 years without ever showing signs of decay, I find that good quality
lately there’s been a surge in guilds and websites advertising in the raid LFG tool for people.
In itself, it’s intentions are good, they’re actually recruiting for the sake of raiding. But it is nonetheless not for the purpose of forming a party and go raiding. so for now I’ll flag them for LFG abuse.
but there might be a solution. a recruitment tab in the LFG tool, with sub-tabs for ‘general, pvp, wvw and elite content’ (elite refering to fractals and raids)
While we’re at it: I personally find the name Acht sounds Hylek for some reason
completely lacking in ‘tl’. Can’t be hylek.
Plus its insulting to the dutch
@Sariel : what’s your point? More than half hylek named npc’s don’t finish with “tl” (ex.: Patli, Amak, Cuico, Mictia, Tonalli, Tonuac, etc.)
@Amaimon : I’m assuming you’re implying that hylek nomenclature derives from Dutch? If that’s the case then I’m sorry to inform you that it’s actually derived from Aztec culture.
no, I meant that in any way associating hylek with the dutch is insulting to the dutch, we may be a watery people, but we do not associate ourselves with.. amphibians.
it was a response to the first quote of a guy who thought Acht sounded hylek
I personally find it unlikely he’s a avid magic user. I mean, sure he might be able to cast a spell or two like everyone else, but from what I’ve seen so far I feel like he’s a scrapper combat class, and a cowardly one at that. Something between a thief, ranger and warrior. Being able to fight in melee combat, but preferring to unleash his pistol from a distance.
Hit and Run style. But thats just my speculationYou know what would be interesting? If Caudecus may actually be a new Elite Specialization for a profession in the next expansion.
Anet pulled this back in Season 2 when they teased Reaper using Marjory
propably, his roguelike combat style with a sword and pistol might be good for a thief, or warrior even. This time Marjory followed Lazarus who is a necromancer so that might be the next foreshadowing for the necromancer. It’s unlikely now for the warrior, though, the Papaya leak (not confirmed of course) is slowly becoming more and more reliable as it predicted a lot of actual stuff, which stated the warrior would be the spellbreaker with daggers. now this is in no way evidence of anything, but papaya has become more and more reliable, so there’s nothing wrong with assuming the elite specs papaya leaked
so I hope the bosses in that video aren’t raid bosses. as i am allergic to arrogance and elitism. which heavily populate anything labeled raid. is it too much to hope for a new world boss or several?
you mean the LS1 recap video?
no, the bosses from the raid are something completely unique

Tyria is Lazarus’ home planet. You know whose home planet it’s not? Humans.
Then the humans should die on their home planet.
Didn’t we wreck that place already?
It’s never really been stated. We don’t know why they left home. We only know that they left with their gods. Humans could be the mursaat of their world.
Dunno, all I know is the humans had to leave it because it had become ininhabitible. And at the time I thought humans did it themselves, either by warring or messing with magic.
So.. a bank? What you described is what you can use the bank for
GEE TEE EX ONE THOUSAND AND SIXTY!
that’s all I gotta say, that’s all I need to say
A 480 is a better buy. And either card is going to be excessive for the TC’s need
AMD had less reliability though. But that’s personal experience. I can only say don’t suffer as I did and buy a gtx
With so much to already do, will Divinity’s Reach be broken?
What are they doing?!!
breaking divinity’s reach. What else it looks like?
GEE TEE EX ONE THOUSAND AND SIXTY!
that’s all I gotta say, that’s all I need to say
The main issue I’d have with him being Mister E is that I remember ANet telling us back when E first showed up that it was someone we already knew. I think they did. Maybe that comment was about our “nemesis,” not that we ever got a nemesis as such. Anyone remember more clearly than me anything about such a comment?
Since it’s a pretty minute detail from LS1, I don’t think they would continue on Mr.E without a proper re-introduction of his ‘character’. I think if we continue with Mr.E now half the playerbase would be confused beyond repair since they never got to play LS1
I made a Guild Wars 2 – The Complete Season 1 Movie which has all the cutscenes & lore narrations of what happened from start to finish. It’s about 3hours and 20min long so popcorn is a must!
Here’s the link:

I know, I was one of your first backers ^^
I just hope anet will endorse your video as well, otherwise it might’ve been for nothing because newcomers don’t tend to go to the forum much, meaning they’ll not see your video until it’s too late

I really don’t get what’s so bad that you have to go to HoT to do the dailies, it’s no big deal and you still can do all the content you did for dailies in Central Tyria.
apparantly HoT dailies are so horrible they rather not have it, than raids, story and elite classes

Bloodstone Dust Cuisine is actually good for you.
it actually is, while it’advertised as not, it has no negative effects on you, and boosts all sources of exp by 5% making it the most efficient exp booster in the game

Who’s he? Does anyone know?
At first I wanted to say Made-Over Faren or a Player Character, but maybe the off chance it’s Kyle Meade.
No one knows who he is yet. He is s complete mystery
If it would be Kyle Meade and he would be in the Queen’s mansion house, that would mean, that Meade’s are from royal family or something.
I think he is the new minister, but if he is Kyle Meade, that will be really interesting.
I don’t think the meade’s have much access to the royal advisory at this point, hence kashmere wen’t rogue because her family’s name was dragged through the mud. But I don’t think he’s the new minister either, I mean, he’s a bit young isn’t he? Wouldn’t the minister be a guy with many connections and years of experience? While a noblepass can quite literally be bought, I don’t think you outright buy ministeriality
btw, did you get why I said mystery? mystery, mistery, mister E
There are 4 domains in the form of bloodstone runeslabs and a fifth keystone slab. What you see as red crystal already existed back in gw1. It is undefined. But probably it’s leaking magic that crystallises. And due to its chaotic nature might still have life essence in it

So now not saying anything is evidence of suggestion?
They also didn’t mention we would or wouldn’t get free legendaries mailed so I’ll be keeping a close eye on my mailbox
My speculation is that the bosses aren’t in the slightest repentant. I think they’re actually still kind of wanting to fight
When the great storm had finally passed, the kodan saw their gift from Koda. Great sections of the seas had frozen, creating floating islands of ice. And the kodan climbed onto these and so could now live upon the land and the sea. And they watched and they learned and they hunted.
- The Wisdom and Power of the Kodan
- How much of Tyria was created by the Dragons?
[none, but they might be as old as tyria]- What will happen to the map when these dragons die? (i.e will parts of the Shiverpeaks melt?)
[depends. The general consensus is that the dragons cycle is necessary, but we find fixes for this. Other dragons can assume control of other domains, partially, which might mean we end up with Aurene, the hexadragon, but anything herin is specilation.]
Your wuestions are unanswerable, but there is about as much evidence as the dragons having made tyria as not, so its imposdible to talk about this without scrubbing everything off as speculations and assumptions.
Who’s he? Does anyone know?
Lots of NPCs got makeovers, maybe Lord Faren sorted out the mess that is his life
Destruction is nice, but I fear DR will become another Disney Waterpark Parking Lot like lions arch, so.. pass
Finally got to watch the trailer…
…uhm. So DR’s getting trebbed with giant bloodstone crystals. That not reminiscent of anything, now is it? Not at aaaaaallll….. /sarcasm
Time to whoop some White Mantle rump.
Those crystals from gw1 were searing cauldron crystals. Completely different things. But since theyre used for bombardment it might as well be the same thing
I’m aware. I did play GW1 for 9 years. That’s why I used the term “reminiscent.” As it seems very similar to what we have seen before. Regardless of what’s actually launching the things (or what they are made out of. Do we know what the searing crystals were made out of? I don’t recall).
I think searing crystals are just crystallized magic. I did some digging but I couldnt find more than just crystallized magic from the Searing Cauldron, which was a kind of magic which in one form or another results from the Titans gifts. I think its just like nuclear magic. The blast destroys after which its magic leaks out killing and destroying the lands. This part is just spevulation, though.
It IS magic, though, as the surviving crystals are worshipped by Geawl as shards of the Tail of the Star God.
The attack seems to be coming from either the east or north, that’s probably where the new zone is located. The zone we see in this screenshot.
East most likely. Devs recently said they dont want to make maps related to lake doric anytime soon

penitent
?p?n?t(?)nt/Verzenden
~adjective
1. Feeling or showing sorrow and regret for having done wrong; repentant.
“a penitent expression”
synonyms: repentant, contrite, regretful, remorseful, sorry, apologetic, conscience-stricken, rueful, ashamed, shamefaced, abject
“she stood with her hands joined below her waist like a penitent child”
~noun
1. A person who repents their sins and (in the Christian Church) seeks forgiveness from God.
Considering it’s going to be a raid.. I have a severe doubt the bosses we’re gonna fight are gonna be penitent in the slightest
But my bet for the portal location is going to be Confessor’s Tomb close to the camp in Bloodstone Fen
Why should he. Its his now. He peed on it. His scent is on it. If they want it back they better be ready to die for it. Its just a chunk of metal. Your local smith can make a 100 new crowns
Unless your local smith is a god, I doubt he’s going to be able to make a crown like the one needed for the ritual. The gods made that one as one of the gifts they gave to Doric. If Rytlock lost it in the Mists, that doesn’t bode well for ever being able to undo the Foefire.
Meh, those ghosts did it to themselves. they had a chance to make a new life over the shiverpeaks or stay and fight a futile fight that would’ve endlessly repeated itself by pushing borders with the charr. I know what I would’ve chosen.

There were “hints” of the next area going towards the Crystal Desert, which episode 4 should confirm. Considering seasons are used as the introduction, the next expansion will be about Fire vs Ice, the White Mantle, Aurene and everything else that’s been going on.
Expansions are typically every 2-3 years. Considering seasons play out over a year, season 3 could be over by Summer, leading to a Winter release which would be 2 years later.
Pre-purchasing? Of course there’ll be. They wanted to reduce the downtime between releases however, so don’t expect for there to be a year long gap like there was with HoT. It’ll likely be at best 3 months or at worst 6.
yeah, saying expansions are typically every 2-3 years is just a big misinformation and I ask everyone not to take words from this guy as truth. We don’t need unnecessary hype going on forum.
You also can’t say next expansion will be Fire vs. Ice, the White Mantle, Aurene, cuz of all I know and feel, it will be done before expansion comes. I am pretty much sure dragon story will be finished much sooner then you expect, and that focus will be on different Lore
But he said it on the internet, that must mean its true, no?
Theyre not at the next pax so announcement wont be soon. And omce announced it’ll be another year till release
How about simply giving players an option to “mute special sound effects on weapons” as a checkbox option in sounds? I love the look of The Dreamer, and while I wouldn’t say it breaks my immersion it does get annoying after a few minutes.. Same goes for Quip.
If that would include SAB-minis, jobotron backpack and the like im in favor.
al story content is designed to be soloable, but can be played in groups.
A small exception is the dungeons: you can play the storymode of dungeons for supporting lore on the story. Note that this is group content, but not necessary to finish the story, it only adds to character depth of Destiny’s Edge. The only true exception is the last dungeon, the personal story ends with a dungeon in Orr, but a few months back we had a patch where they changed it so it can be solo’d now, but in my opinion, it’s not a foolproof patch so it’s still better and more fun to do with a few friends.
So in short, yes, all story content can be solo’d.
As to your other queston, end game content, no, most endgame content is not designed for solo play.
They are either map meta events where lots of people work together on a big event or mission, or we talk about raids and fractals. Fractals are made for 5 man teams, and raids for 10 man teams. Wrld meta events are open so you don’t need to bring any friends yourself, but you need to come at a time other players will be around. You don’t need to be in teams for that.
To answer your stated question: Is it worth playing if you mainly play solo?
YES, all story and story related content can be done solo. like in all MMO’s you will get MORE worth for your money, but thats all in personal opinion
I’ve been calling it the
DiabloGW2 cow level.I would be disappointed if it’s like AB and is simply a treasure room but full of leather synthesizers or chests full of hides.
-the leather farm is a lie-
My issue was the lack of racewide repurcussion against sylvari. And you can tie it to modern day terrorism. Most islamic extremists/terrorists do bad stuff. In retrospect we treat all muslims with severe caution. However after this whole ordeal there was very little backlash against the sylvari. The sylvari didnt even bother to redeem themselves. Personally I wanted ls3 to have a small highlight on sylvan racism but i stead we get fairytail ‘lets be friends’. We didnt even have a proper trial for caithe. Sure we ‘know’ she wasnt mordrem but she flatout said “I gotta do this because i cant trust you. But when this is all over please trust me again”
To me its quaggans. Whenever the story starts getting good, anet feels the need to shove in a quaggan to completely destroy all sense of an enjoyable immersive session
Not before:
Asuran ears
Charr horns
Human beards
Norn facial tattoos
Sylvan luminary patterns
If he logs in now, ep 3 will be unlocked. Ep 4 was just anounced for early february. Propably tuesday 6th.
However, he cannot play LS3, any episode, without a HoT acount.
E.g. Unlocking and access are seperate aspects. You can have it unlocked even without access. So if he buys the game now he can safely play the whole story and not be scared he’ll miss ep3 or 4 as long as he logged in during the active periods. But he wont have LS2 or LS3 e1 and e2

They do not mean luring any random chak but the one that you fight before you are supposed to speak to the priory NPC.
I know, did it with both
As I said above, do open them if one enjoys doing so. It takes little luck to come out ahead.
For those like you, the Trading Post is an option.
Good luck, or not.
I tried one session.
Opened 16 envelopes. 12 chickens worth 88s and some junk. A lot of magic, though, 5 of those 500 tokens.
In the end i bought 16g of envelopes and i think i made about 13-14g back. Perhaps an unlucky roll, but enough for me to say ill just continue selling them on the TP
What is legal:
The use of lfg tool to form parties, even if its a service like running a raid for a gold.
What is not legal:
Offering services not related to forming parties, like trading, advertising etc
The first is legal, sometimes in the grey, but the second is ill-eagle and should always be reported. Anything that doesnt result in a party is an illegal afront
