Did you try changing to a different back piece and seeing if the option is there. Maybe you have a back piece on another character that you could test this on.
It won’t recognize the controller. It recognizes keyboard input. You need to map the controller so that the joy stick uses up down left right arrows, m for map, or whatever you have set up in game for your keyboard.
There have been a lot of threads about this. Just not recent ones. It’s an old issue but seems they don’t have a fix for it. There have been plenty of suggestions in other threads. Everything from a report option to disabling in certain areas.
Better looking than Bolt at least. I feel sorry for people who spent time and all that money making that decorative fencing with a handle they called a sword.
It’s just a matter of opinion and taste. Some people like it some people don’t. I made bolt as my first before it was really popular (most people were making GS first or perhaps bifrost). It’s fine you don’t like it but it’s silly to “feel bad” for someone for having a differing opinion than you.
The day of the black wings release a friend and I made identical ugly huge Mesmer Charrs, both with identical looking names with changing one i to an í. With all our clones up you couldn’t tell what was going on when fighting on smaller points in pvp. It was all in good fun in hot join but some people really disliked wings that day.

You earn mastery experience through XP which progresses the track. You need mastery points to unlock it. Mastery points are awarded through achievements.
This is such a cool idea. I love the Girl Scout cookie idea. It would make the game feel so much more alive.
I think the content wouldn’t feel “recycled” if done right. I think there should be 0 achievements tied to this personally. But one or two would be okay. The key to not making this feel recycled is making the event feel totally “non mandatory”. Of course all events aren’t mandatory, but any event with achievement points tied to it make people feel like they need to do them. This suggestion (I believe) is more of adding to the “atmosphere” rather than actual content.
To expand on the Girl Scout cookie idea. If there are no achievements tied to it they will have to sell something that is at least interesting, if not useful. Maybe a cookie that works like a tonic or like current heart npcs that sell items that change character color/size. I’m trying to think of some more clever effects that relate to cookies but they aren’t coming to me. All I can think of is thin mints and turning green/thin lol.
But seriously this would add character to the game. I get tired of running around LA for months and hearing the same Npcs saying the same things over and over. If there were events like this in between it would help the word feel more alive.
If any of the moderator reads this thread (Gaile?). We really need a sticky providing information on how to address lag. 75% of people are coming here to complain and aren’t reading the thread which discusses how to address it such as running ping plotter.
I think a sticky would help because as you can see I repeat myself over and over. Nobody is reading my previous posts (Or Ellieanna’s, thanks for trying tho). However people read “red” posts. It would be a good move for player retention because Players may wrongly blame Anet for these issues and leave the game or request a refund.
Personally I am not going to put much more effort into this thread or threads like this. I hate thinking we lose players because they mistakenly think Anet has bad servers. But it gets old posting the same thing multiple times even on the same page.

You need to run ping plotter, take a screen shot showing its Anet through that app, and write down the server IP (/ipaddress in game). Then submit a support ticket. Otherwise you aren’t going to get any type of response.
Alternately you could just submit a support ticket and they will walk you through this process. But please try to understand that Anet can’t do anything unless you can show them it’s their servers and not your ISP or a node on the way Anets servers.
I have 4 gen one legendaries and made Nevermore. I was able to fund my gen one legendaries through dungeon grinding. This is no longer an option. Secondly First gen legedary was expensive in regards to gift of fortune. These t6 matts are no longer expensive as they had been.
But you can not compare old t6 Matt prices with current AG prices and say they are equivalent and therefore current prices are justified for AGs.
There are several ways to obtain T6 matts even before HoT. Naturally playing the game, you could eventually obtain 250. Yes that would take time but between that, laurels, and making mystic clovers it wasn’t too bad.
This way in which we can obtain AGs is not comparable to how we obtain (or used to obtain) T6 for gift of fortune. That’s the problem here.
At the moment, if I watch my ‘options’ menu for ping. I’m getting 4000ms spikes.
This is across all game modes in gw2. This is not happening in any other online games I have, and my speedtest.net is perfect.
It won’t happen in other games or for speed test if it is an issue with a node your ISP uses for you to get to Anets servers. You can download and run a ping plotter test to see where the problem is. 95% of the time it is not Anet and somewhere else along your connection.
You can post here with your results from the test or you could post to one of the threads in the account issues thread, which is more appropriate for this topic.
There’s always a risk when sending gold through mail. So no one can say for certain it’s 100% safe. However if you have them send it to you with the title of " (insert name here) guild event entry gold" or something like that. And maybe more of a specific explanation for what it’s for In the description, then you should have no issues.
If it happens submit an In game report. It doesn’t help them here because they need to know where it happened and how to replicate it so they can fix it. In game reports give locations.
Put in a support ticket. Wait up to 72 hours to hear back. If they don’t respond back then post the ticket number in the sticky.
They will probably warn you that your new name can “break” where it sometimes switches back and forth between the new and old name. But not much can be done about that. The only issue that results in is people having issues mailing you from time to time with in game mail.
So is anyone gonna post a solution here or just keep telling us to report the issue. I have been lagging hard now for two weeks. All I do is PVP on a thief and it in unplayable. Rubberbanding everywhere. Where the kitten is ANET support in this thread? No reassurances. I live in Ft. Lauderdale and am getting bent over with lag. Someone say something remotely useful. If you want a direct response from support then you need to open a ticket. But as your plot shows you have some packet loss issues mostly around level 3 which is pretty common. But Anet can’t fix that for you. You have to contact your ISP and get them to put pressure on level 3 to fix that mode or choose a different route for your connection to get to Anet servers. It’s highly unlikely you will get anywhere tho with your ISP as most people you end up talking with won’t have any power to do anything. So instead you get the run around.
Anet support tho will assist you tho if you open a support ticket. Just don’t expect them to be able to fix it for you as this seems outside their control.
Part of the issue was the huge amount of bugs and poor design for obtaining current legendaries and the pre cursor crafting. There was a large overhaul to fix a bunch of stuff. The team that develops legendaries was in charge of fixing this since it was their mess. So this put making new legendaries on the back burner. I’m sure they are now actively making the new ones but (I believe) they planned to already release 3 more but have been behind due to bugs/issues.
I’m not making an excuse here for them. I’m just giving some background. The bugs were inevitable and I can understand that. However there were issues with design such as needing events to fail in order to progress. This was a huge oversight and should never have been in release. They have corrected those issues now tho, which I believe was the better choice over ignoring them and releasing new legendaries.
Any advice on how to get the Amalgamated Gemstones other than just outright purchasing stuff off of the trading post? Someone mentioned crafting orbs; any good farming advice on the items required for said crafting?

Please stop with these topics now. There are like 20 threads like this and the answer is : no, this is fine and the price is exactly like the old legendary, and this since months, the price is stabilized and will not go up, at least not before the next legendaries.
There’s not 20 threads like this. There’s only one other thread about this from a month or so ago. And no again with salvaging ectos. That will not give you T5 dust. The price has not stabilized “since months” last month it is was 100-150g cheaper.
But anyway, You can save approximately 70g right now if you buy the dust and the tier lower gems to make the orbs.

It was being asked for in general. Posters don’t identify as a specific class. From your post how do I know you are a ranger or a ele or a Mesmer? Maybe the people asking for it were Rangers. There’s no way to tell really. It was just a design decision. And to Anet it made the most sense to choose ranger. And some rangers are very happy about it while others aren’t. But that’s life.

Same issue as last time has returned. OCE, SEA and Western BC having connection issues from what I can tell. I’m not going to post any speed tests. It’ll tell me the same thing as last time. My internet is fine. Somewhere on the way to Anet’s servers it’s dying. Anet says nothing about a fix because it’s the weekend and then the game miraculously is fixed.
People please read up on how the Internet works. Or responses on the thread here. Your basically saying this….
You have a doctor appointment. There is bad traffic getting to the appointment. Once you’re at the office you have no issues like with wait times or anything. But You tell the doctor he needs to fix the traffic problem. Good luck with that.
I agree that there should be something done about the DC issue and not being able to rejoin a map shard. The whole spam to get into a “good map” through the LFG is also an issue.
Honesty I have logged a lot of hours in HoT and large meta events and have yet to DC since like maybe once this past summer. So I am pretty fortunate but I get where people with connection issues are coming from. People are quick to blame Anet for the DC’s which is rarely the case, but regardless there needs to be a system in place to hold progress to some extent. And I know this isn’t the main discussion of the thread but the spam LFG meta event game gets old very quickly as well.
I hope you enjoy your break tho and hopefully when you are ready to come back they have things smoothed out.
Sorry you don’t like. Some people do, some people don’t. You can still play condi ranger if you want but due to power creep it is really bad. Honestly it wasn’t that good to begin with but now…… Anyway I would suggest you make a suggestion for a new specilazation. Anet isn’t going to get rid of Druid. But they are someday making new specs
I see pug practice runs a few times a week in the LFG. It seems like that is the type of thing you are looking for. As far as linking insights go it is silly. You can simply paste a chat link code if you’d like to get around that lol. But yeah there are plenty of guilds that host practice runs and end up needing a few more so they pug it on the LFG. I’d suggest getting in one of those guilds.
So, interesting update. Last night I had a fair few runs on Fractals and picked up about 15 Rares. They gave me 25 Ecto’s….Some what of a change compared to before I sent in a support ticket and posted this…. odd..

If you don’t have HoT, you can’t use it. You should have received an on-screen message about needing HoT when you tried to use it. Perhaps that’s what’s broken.
This isn’t how the internet works. You can’t compare lag in gw2 to no lag in other games or YouTube. Anets servers are in Seattle. YouTube has servers all over and the other games you play most likely are not in Seattle. You can run a ping plotter test (free to download) and put ncsoft.com in the search. It should show you where the problem is. Feel free to post a picture of the results if you need help.

Why do you need the toon name? Are you trying to recover the account? There’s a chance it was hacked and the toon name is not there as the toon is gone. Support take take up to 72 hours to respond. Did you put a ticket in for him or was a ticket created? If it was then sending another slows down the process. If you wait for more than 72 hours you can post in the sticky in this forum.
