I don’t know if you guys remember, but Arena Net doesn’t drop nearly as much money as they did for Guild Wars 1, GW2 will never be an eSport because there’s no specific healer classes, the downed state makes the game a lot of hassle in PvP.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not whining, but if Arena Net wanted to do this right, they would’ve got rid of downed states, got rid of domination, points, ect. and make it strictly 5v5 with a weekly schedule, deadline days, team vs team, with a playoff’s schedule.

hmmmmm, you do realize WvW is mainly aimed at zerg vs zerg, right? Unless PvD is really your idea of epic large scale battles.

Probably the best part of the leagues is the fact that so people are going to want to get involved in WvW to net those achievements and qualify for their season reward. The first couple of weeks are going to be hectic and all kinds of silly entertaining. Can’t wait.

And, to bring this thread back on topic, the first few weeks will have more people in WvW, but after that, it will be a return to the norm.

Too bad these achievements are so easy to get. It is a slap in the face for dedicated WvW players. Some living story achievements can take some serious time and effort to accomplish within two weeks. These, for seven weeks, are a joke.

We’ll get some sort of schedule out as soon as we have the matchups. I’ll post it up on the forums and then we’ll find a way to get it out more broadly as well. The matchups aren’t locked in until the season actually starts. So, while EU is ready, NA won’t be ready for 6.5 more hours.

Hmm, yeah, NA is ready. SBI isn’t getting 6th, so the leagues are pretty much locked. I guess BP and Ebay are in a tight battle for who will be 10th going into the start of the season, but in reality, that will make little difference in the grand scheme of things.

Hope there’s an option for non queued servers to try out the new map. I don’t think that T1 should be the only opinion heard. Would be better if you randomly got assigned a color when your guild entered the map.

Yeah this is something that they would have to consider, especially when it’s hard to get into an overflow outside of prime-time/reset night.

I read that you can enter this map whenever you want, not just while you are in a que.

I’m excited about new terrain and possibly new objectives or gameplay, but populations are too sparse already, this will make that problem worse.

I am all for new maps, but this makes no sense. To combat the queue? Seriously? Only a few servers have issues with a queue, while the majority of servers might have one map, let alone two maps queued.

Sure, reset night might have more people cramming in WvW, but that is it.

This seems like it is gonna hurt more servers than it will help. Servers with mid and lower populations can’t afford to lose any more numbers, and this will attract much needed numbers away from the real fight.

Need to fix the blow out match ups before this

1) Scoring system. There needs to be a way to keep the matches more competitive, and less reliant on who can muster 40 people first in off hour coverage. I understand that numbers will win, but right now leagues will not be competitive if only a few servers can actually win. Gotta fix this.

2) Leagues. The idea of leagues is great, but so far the implementation of it has fractured the communities on serveral servers. The population imbalances and the current scoring system have made the idea of leagues less attractive, because most servers know that they can’t compete. I would love to see some changes before season 2, that would make leagues be an actual competition. I know that is a very hard thing for you to do, designing something with so many variables as WvW, to be balanced enough for 9 servers to be able to win against each other, is a very hard task.

3) New maps. I love WvW, it is fun and an excellent break from PvE, which gets really stale after running the same dungeons dozens of times. But, we do need some new maps, some different scenery. Would love for each season of leagues to rotate between maps. I know that would be difficult, so I won’t hold my breath.

All in all, I love WvW, and keep up the good work. I appreciate all the changes you make, whether they have been good or bad. It is a hard job to please people, and you wont please everyone. Just keep making a good game.

Yep, click on it and you will see we used to be a t1 server. What do you call a server that has a mass exodus? I don’t know the title, but you sure do have a title for a server that gets a nice amount of transfers.

As far as transfers go, it is what it is. You can talk smack about us being a “bandwagon” but, we have experienced both sides of the coin. Can you say the same? Dropped from kitten t5, and then rise back up to t2?

Need to bring back the good ole days when Borlis waypointed SBI’s hills every match up and those few people who knew what was up tried and failed to beg the zombie horde in Eternal to come and help them. I think our record for holding a Hills keep in SBI borderlands was about 5 days. So much fun. That keep was a golem graveyard, watered with tears. Can’t wait to try again.

I never really followed the transfers, and I remember one match up we were beating you, and I couldn’t believe it. Finally, I heard about the transfers.

Anyways, since SBI is gonna be in silver, I hope we all have a fun time, and some good match ups.

Just want to say thanks to SoR and SoS for a good matchup. The last good one we are really gonna have for 7 weeks.

SoR, you have too much coverage for us to compete, but it was fun taking the fight to you, and we had some great fights. Enjoyed the crazy bay fights in your BL, and some epic fights in ours as well as SoS’s garrison.

I didn’t play in EB much this match up, but I can say that outside of that we didn’t really have many fights with SoS. Did enjoy your hills on reset night, as well as some epic garrison battles.

I am from SOR, and this sickens me. Please name the sor guilds who did this?

If you’re talking about the match fixing, it’s your server’s leadership that’s doing it (aka FEAR and possibly TW). They’ve forbidden the rest of SoR’s guilds from capping SBI’s garrison. They currently have a karma train running around in circles in SBI BL capping everything except that waypointed keep they could very easily take.

Actually, there is so much siege in a fully fortified garrison, that SoR can’t get close enough.

Props to the people who have kept is refreshed all day!

Yeah, we took their Garri, and it ticked them off. They started destroying our BL then, and SoS destroyed almost all of EB at the same time.

Was great to take one of the only things that wasn’t taken this match up.

I don’t know if you are staying up late and earning that ppt for gold, or if FA is tanking so they can finish 2nd in silver. Either way, it doesn’t matter. You are a good server, and I hope you have a great time in gold league. Maybe you and SoS can 2v1 some of the t1 servers and maybe create an upset or two.

Day crew won’t matter much if FA shows up again tonight, even if the entire night crew shows up. The question is, will FA game the system to put us in silver with them or go all the way to gold. My bet is they push SBI into gold then ease off.

Actually your day and evening could keep you in it. FA lost a lot of their stuff earlier to CD. So, I would assume that would happen tomorrow. Your day crew and early evening crew could make all the difference tomorrow.

I think it is mainly that is SBI is on SoS BL, then SoR is gonna be there. They have followed us all week long. Plus, with all 3 servers on the battlefield, you get better fights. SoR doesn’t need PPT anymore this week, and they are just looking for fights, and to have fun, for the most part.

I have been with SBI since launch, and will stay their til it no longer exists.

Can’t blame your huge pug force during Oceanic to be fairweather tbh. If they turn up, the EB SoS force during Oceanic does turn out to be 50-60+.

That still leaves 20 extra on SoR plus boonstacks+stacks+bloodlust.
I see the SoR mentality,and its nothing like looking for a fair fight.
We repel you once,you get rearhurt and bring omegas and the entire queue against a paper tower with a handfull of defenders.
We come at you,sbi flank us and you pop in to capitalise on the 2v1.
And then you complain because we dont sit to put up a serious fight under this conditions?

If you guys can’t handle these conditions you need to toughen up. It’s not like SoR hasn’t been in these situations before, particularly in SEA in the past, having 2 map blobs against us. We still had to toughen up and stop complaining constantly. Not mocking you guys, but Why not keep going even under such circumstances instead of complaining? It’ll only improve you guys further.

The reality is, people on SBI might not want silver, they might not want gold, but none of us want to finish 3rd in the match up. We are trying to take your stuff, so we can beat you. If SoR wants to take your stuff, cause they want the fights, the loot, to keep PPT up so they don’t get that far behind JQ, then that is what they want to do.

Also, we have taken the fight to them, and taken their Bay, Hills, etc, during the night. While we do this, SoS is taking our stuff. I haven’t yet seen SoS attempt to really attack SoR in the evening. We are. That kind of blows the 2v1 theory out the water.

We are talking about beating SoS in this match up, not in the rankings. They will stay in the gold league.

But, Mag looks to be sinking fast now, and FA is on the rise. It might come down to FA and SBI for the last spot.

I think you are right. I think FA will sneak back into Gold because of Core. Funny, that in the silver league thread they said they weren’t going to go to a gold or bronze server. Gold is in their future.

Seems that Core didn’t know if SBI or Mag was gonna be in gold, so they transferred to FA so they could stay in silver. But, with how well FA is doing now, they might sneak into Gold, which is where Core didn’t want to transfer to.

That last place for gold is getting juicy.
