I meant stuff in my wardrobe. But those skins are account bound too so I guess they stay. Thanks for the answer. : )
If it’s in your wardrobe, it’s kept if you delete.
What you will lose is anything in that char’s inventory (including unlocked bag slots) and the use of soulbound items (those should be salvaged or vendored). Karma and badges of honor are in your wallet and won’t be touched. WvW rank is account bound and won’t be lost. Not sure what you mean by unlocked skins and outfits.
On that note: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxmkAoLC6_4
I haven’t a clue but when I looked it up I didn’t find a POI with the name Vaults of the Hidden. There are 2 POIs in that area, Melandru’s Dome and The Mystic Telescope. Perhaps you didn’t get an answer because people don’t know which of those you are referring to.
You might say which and describe your problem getting to it.
Darn it. Does no one care about us spork collectors. >.>
I need a hug.
I remember the dye seeds in Beta and the NPC. Also the forum outrage when it was announced that the dyes would be character bound and not account bound as the early statements said they would be (Ms Cox got a lot of forum hate for that decision).
It’s my game and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to
Cry if I want to
You would cry to if it happened to you.
Thainre, a female sylvari thats crying right from where sylvari characters are born from their pods after finishing the tutorial zone.
She says she wants to become a elementalist, but her mentor suggests her to become a thief instead .
She wants to use magic ,she says. hmm
Yah, she has been there reportedly since BWE3 so I doubt it has anything to do with this expansion.
The really odd thing is, she’s carrying a hammer.

Sigh.
And now my new account is blocked from getting emails from my old account (too many items mailed to it, I guess) for the last 24 hours and presumably until I play and level more, which may be awhile since I have stuff to do on my main account.
Thank goodness for guild banks.
Last I looked, about 161. And as Ayrilana said, the fact that it’s really only for kills puts a damper on getting it higher.
Thank you so much for posting that. But can you switch between specs? Like between a druid and whatever the other spec is? I imagine there would be more than one else it’s kind of pointless. Doesn’t seem to say anything in the interview.
They said that this expansion will only have one specialization per profession but they plan to have more later. Imo, they are doing it this way to see how it works out before they put in multi specializations per profession.
Depending how different they are, it might be like 10 new professions (the 8 for the old professions and the Revenant and its specialization) which is a fair amount of work (new weapons skills, etc).

Do you have signet of rage on your warrior?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Signet_of_Rage
“The passive effect causes your character to emanate small particle effects, representing the adrenaline gain.”
Wait… seriously?! Can someone link something about this, like to something official would like to know more.
It was part of an interview.
http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/473/feature/9340/page/2
MMORPG: That’s a one-time thing, correct? I’m a ranger, I do my stuff and bam, I’m a druid, I can use druid powers?
CJ: Correct, and then you can swap back and forth, you can say “My character’s a druid, but I’m going to play as a ranger today.” It’s very similar to changing out your skills and traits, you can go in and change whenever you want, as long as you’re out of combat.
Whenever that was, it doesn’t seem to be in the game now. Maybe it was some special Sylvari glow related thing back in beta that was later removed.
It’s only weird if you got a precursor out of the chest at the end. That would be the unlikely part.
They have stated they don’t want to change display names except for situations where the name has sensitive information.

“They are unable to do it upon request because it takes too much time to do it frivolously. Plus, we have a policy of not changing randomly to avoid people “escaping their own history.” “I don’t like my name” or even “I used my first name” isn’t a valid reason to reverse policy.”
They have stated reasons such as people scammming/harassing/getting kicked from guilds then changing the name to avoid consequences (the escaping their own history part of that quote).
I seem to be missing something, I almost never see black lion chests. I’ve been playing since October of last year and if my memory serves me right I only ever got about 6 chests ever. What’s up with that? O.o
From my experience, they are rather a rare drop. I think I maybe get one or two a week (at a guess, I haven’t been keeping track). They are cheap on the trading post because there are more dropping than people buying keys rather than because for an individual person, they drop frequently.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
You won’t get a rename from the forum. The people who do that are reading tickets, not here. You can update your original ticket and ask them, but don’t get your hopes up. In general their policy is, if someone makes a guild name that they feel has broken TOS they don’t get a second chance (unless they make a brand new guild).
Lions arch has gates to every starter city. To get there go to your home city (it will cost a couple of copper to waypoint there and you can see it on your map when you expand it.
While in lions arch there are portals to WvW and sPvP if you cannot access them from the top of your screen.
Once you have the sPvP lobby open you can use this to travel from anywhere in the world for free to Lions Arch.
To elaborate a bit, if you go to Lion’s Arch (LA) then head to the south where a bunch of portals are, you will find WvW and a PvP portal. Going through once will unlock them for you and you can use them as a fast travel to LA from wherever you are.
The PvP area has a tutorial area the first time you go there. You can ignore that and head north, go up some stairs to a portal that takes you to the regular PvP area and the LA portal in there.
About all you can do is unlock the skins, if you don’t have them, then vendor the items.
I’ve managed to sell an ascended weapon (and yes I have invisible bags). The problem is when you switch out weapons while playing. If you go from 2 weapons to a single weapon, one will go in the place of a weapon you switched to. The other will go somewhere in your inventory. Maybe you’ll think to stop right then and move it to to your invisible bag, maybe you won’t.
If you’re lagging a bit while selling to a vendor, it’s possible to sell an item you didn’t mean to sell. If caught you can rebuy it. Otherwise it’s gone.
I wish they has a way to customize weapons like they did in Guild Wars 1. Once customized they were no longer venderable.
Maybe you are joining on a wrong person. Those groups fill quickly and you are joining a player that was trying to get on a good map just like you. Is there even a way to tell who is hosting the LFG?
Maybe the first person listed in the LFG?
It sounds like you are talking about the NPE, New Player Experience. Instead of new stats coming to you with each level, you get them in bunches. This means there are gaps where you are underpowered in relation to mobs till you level again.
You can read or post on this thread about the NPE if you want.
You can put it in tomorrow (because tomorrow never comes).
Thing is, an average girls like things that are beautiful- and typical boys like things that are kitten and cool. Rainbows and uicorns are NOT kitten.
Orrrrrr, they like them but don’t say so because their culture tells them it’s not cool. Heaven forbid that you aren’t cool and with everyone else.
Before they got 4G, a few months ago, in my area I had 3G or 2G (yikes). To download this game at launch took me a solid 3 days of continuous non stop downloading. To download it last month when I had to get another computer (multiple broken keys on my cheap, crappy laptop), because of fees I had to wait a couple of weeks till the end of the billing cycle, download till I reached cap, stop, wait for new billing cycle to start then finish downloading. Then I had to carefully ration out the rest of my internet use for that month. So, I can definitely say I feel your pain.
Do they take up a position on the loot table or are they a separate drop in addition to whether or not you get loot? Maybe they are in the gray loot table, you get one of them instead of a spike.
If they were a rare drop then they would be expensive to buy off the trading post. People who buy keys would then have to also spend gold on chests. And you can bet they wouldn’t appreciate that. There would be threads complaining about how Guild Wars 2 rips them off by making them spend gold on chests after they bought keys.
why didnt they just make them into armor skins, that way people can mix and match.
not like it effected combat any more than outfits do…
My understanding is that they couldn’t do it across all the armor weights and have them still look the same with all the pieces. There are differences in where the seam lines are in each armor weight class and different armor pieces can different number of dye slots, depending on the profession.
This probably means that each individual piece would have to be made into armor at least 3 times, once for each profession, and even then they might not have been identical for each weight class. The ones that weren’t too much trouble, such as the helms, were made into armor. The others became tonics.
Source (page 18).
" snip When we started looking at bringing more of the clothing back into armor with mix and match styles there are some fundamental incompatible things between weight classes. (part of how we set up every armor to allow many dye channels and styles per piece).. Snip "

I’ve already leveled 9 chars to 80 and feel confident that I can safely bypass the learning how to autoattack, weapon swap, and getting my first utility skill. In fact, at this stage I feel confident enough to cope with having all the weapon, utility and elite skills immediately available for me to experiment with freely without suffering “new player confusion.”
I’ll play one of my old chars in the new area and the Revenant in a level 80 area such as Frostgorge. When I have it figured out to my satisfaction I’ll move it to the new area.
Go to options and put your pointer on Hide Events and Personal story. Then go to each map in turn, including WvW, and see if the pointer points out an area.
More hairstyles for all of course. More flower/plant themed hairstyles for Sylvari.

Transmutation charges: Each time you 100% a city, it gives you one. You can always buy a character slot with gold earned, make and delete chars for this. You also get 3 T charges every 28 login days. In addition you can buy T charges from the gem store with gold.
CC Eva was saying that a full server is full because the numbers in that server have reached the cap. It says nothing about whether or not people can transfer out and the server drop from Full to Very high.
I have a quote from the then Head of Account and Technical Support agreeing with the statement “There’s no way for him to join a server listed as “full”, although in the future that might be possible with the guesting process. For now, you have to wait until the population drops from “full” to “very high” or “high”, at which point he can transfer to your server (the population shifts during the course of the day), or you will have to both choose a world with a lower population to play together.”
If you have a post backing up what you are saying about server blackouts, please show it.
And yet your above post doesn’t say anything about what the cause of it being full is. And “The population shifts during the course of the day” goes directly against the theory some seem to believe as fact.
As for server blackouts, it’s something I have personally experienced (as I used to do a lot of guild WvW.)
The cause of it being full is that the server cap was reached. So many people made it their home server that no one else is allowed to join until someone leaves and a position opens up.
Some believe something is a fact doesn’t mean it’s fact. Your personal experiences doesn’t mean it’s fact.
If you have anything more than random speculation, post it.
And yet server cap being reached can also be referring to active population. None of your quotes say anything about the server cap being reached being only accounts created on the server.
No one says it’s either/or. A full server is a combination of people who have made accounts there and who have transferred there.
There is no evidence to your theory. And thus, my statements stay the same.
And none for yours. (At least I had posts to back me up, and you didn’t)
We will have to agree to disagree then.

(Bad, evil wicked, naughty forum. It has bugged the next page, which I’ve just remembered is Gaile shaped)
If a server is full then a person who wants to transfer to it either has to wait for it to drop to very high due to population fluctuations from people transfering out or wait till ANet increases the capacity, which they do periodically when a number of servers are full.
There hasn’t actually been any conclusive proof that’s how the system works. (Infact the very notion that some servers do ‘server blackouts’ by logging off to let people transfer in, and it works, goes against that theory.) ArenaNet are very unlikely to ever divulge the information, either, because of how much gems are spent on server transfers.
Actually, they have stated that’s how it works: Source

There is a place in Yosemite national park called Waterwheel falls. Its a waterfall where a jut of stone in the center is formed just right to cause water to be flipped back (like an overly curved ramp) to form a vertical continuous ring of water. A wheel of water if you will. The mist created by this spin fills the center of the wheel and at certain times of day during certain times of year will catch the sunlight just right to create a rainbow contained within the waterwheel.
My father, uncles, and I packed our way into waterwheel falls every year. Eating dessicated animal tissue, defecating in fhe woods, building camp fires the old fashioned way (matches), carrying (seemingly) half a ton of stuff on our backs, not bathing, all sorts of “manly” stuff…
To see a rainbow.
If there had been a unicorn there too we would probably have made the trip more offen.
Yes, but you counteracted the girliness of the rainbow with the manliness of starting fires, carrying heavy things, being stinky, devouring the flesh of the dead, and pooping it all over the woods.
Assuming you started at 100% manliness (I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt, here), and the rainbow gave you -70% (I’m erring on the side of potency and estimating the ‘ring’ you describe to possess a value roughly equivalent to a double rainbow all the way across the sky), each of the activities you mentioned would be easily worth at least +10%. That leaves you with 80% manliness after the rainbow’s feminine influence, and even if you wiped after the pooping (hygiene is girly, and would be -5% to manliness), that still leaves you about 75% manly, which is enough to declare yourself masculine in any court of law. And that’s not even taking into account your mention of other possible manly activities that you didn’t list.
Edit: I adjusted my calculations for the sake of accuracy. Gotta get this stuff right.
Wow. Your math is way off.
Any guy who admits to doing more than glancing at a rainbow and grunting takes an immediate manly hit. Any guy who admits to deliberately going somewhere to look at any rainbow gets an immediate -100 manly hit. He gets manly upgrades for the activities he mentioned in pursuit of the rainbow watching, but not enough to bring him up to the 95% manly statistics. What they need to have done is take beer, drink it and then have contests over who could get the most empty beer cans chunked through the rainbow ring and then left to rust in the water.
Real men who are real men admire such things.
Try this site. http://gw2.guildex.org/servers If you search the guilds, they have guild leaders listed also.
kitten . didn’t even think about the guild bank.
I tried 1 gold but got the same message and with the “excessive messaging” thing didn’t feel like sending a bunch of 50 silvers
Sorry, wasn’t clear. I meant I tried putting 8 gold in the guild bank, got a reject but was able to get around it with putting in 1 gold at a time.
I had trouble mailing my excess gold back to my main account also. Got a message about restrictions.
Do you have personal guild with storage and a guild bank? Your alt needs to be a member for 3 days but then it can put items and gold in your guild bank for your main to pick up. If you get a rejection, try smaller amounts of gold. (I got a rejection with 8 gold so I put in 1 gold 8 times).
It’s amazing how fast that stuff accululates. I have an alt with spare storage space where I’ve been putting it. At this rate, it will soon be an alt with no spare storage space.
A dragonite eater can’t come too soon.
Rainbows and unicorns are girlish, that’s a fact. You can’t deny it. Most boys and males are not feminine. Just because some boys think the bow’s pretty, doesn’t suddenly make it manly.
You should honor the majority, instead of trying to be progressive and stuff. 95% of the community are normal males.
I’m confused, so confused I had to come back to the thread. :O
Rainbows are the effects of light passing thru water droplets held in the atmosphere. Physics you know. When did that become girlish? Or are you saying that appreciation of natural beauty is something only girls do?
