Yah. Right now chili peppers are 15 silver each. Cayenne and Ghost peppers are 6 silver each. That’s 21 silver right there.
Chili peppers are harvested from the Charr areas and their nodes share a harvest with other items. This means there isn’t a dependable way to farm them except by finding a lot of herbs in those areas.
It is actually fairly profitable to do key runs when you calculate what it would cost to buy the same items with gems, either using gold or real money. While any one or a few chests may be worthless, over time they add up to value.

No pictures?
Probably still looking for the Prom dress.
If it doesn’t have Meat hanging off every skein, I’m calling this whole thing a cruel charrade
How about Lady Gaga’s dress made of raw sirloin steaks? ANet could sell it in the gem store for the discerning Charr.

the scroll of knowlege is what bugs me to put this even in is like a slap in the face
I would rather get a scroll of knowledge than 100 luck, which is another item you can get from a chest.
Patience, Grasshopper. You have a good 12 more hours.
I guess no one else has noticed.
I didn’t see any game notes. Are you sure it’s not a graphics glitch or something?
Have fun in Tyria and good luck. ^^

Why are you jaguars”?Huh? Something was lost in the translation.
according to ur signature u r a charr , or u r refering to insults beeing replaced with kitten
if u r a charr, he means u, why r u a charr?
Actually neither. My signature, for me, has nothing to do with Charr, insults or even actual kittens. It’s a reminder to myself that both action and inaction has consequences, often completely unintended. That small situations/problems become large ones if not fixed. I also use it to remind myself to think twice before I post. To consider where something I said might lead that I didn’t mean.
As to his post, your explanation doesn’t fit. Why would he be talking about Logan being more cool and then throw in an obscure comment about Charr?

Whatever, I now see how Anet feels about it’s players. Another day wasted on waiting for a reply. 3 day is ridiculous to just get a password reset.
There is a big difference between games that charge a monthly subscription and games that rely on gem store sales. I’ve seen numerous posts by people who say they’ve never bought gems and don’t plan to and posts by people upset about something and who have declared their decision to punish ANet by no longer buying gems. These people don’t help the game’s profits. ANet has to provide services with the budgetary limits set by their income.
http://venturebeat.com/2013/09/11/analyst-world-of-warcraft-revenues-drop-54-in-7-months/
Superdata released a report that claims World of Warcraft generated around $93 million in total revenues in April. That’s a ton of cash, but it’s way down from the $204 million the MMO generated in September.
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-02-14-guild-wars-2-in-steep-decline-in-weak-q4-for-ncsoft
Ncsoft’s flagship MMO Guild Wars 2 showed a decline in sales and revenue, making $32 million in Q4, 2013.
You can’t expect the same levels of service if the same levels of money isn’t coming in.

Oh, is that what that bird is. I saw it once over this guy months ago. I reported it as some weird graphics glitch, which it was but I thought it was from my computer. He couldn’t see it but I could. (Shrug).

This has been brought up before on several threads. On one of them at least, the answer was given that they decided it would take up too much data space to store all the pet names.
From that thread: source
MokahTGS.7850:
“This is actually not a bug, it is working as intended. It is not optimal, but to save the names of all of your pets (read: all of everyone’s pets) would require another large name database that ANet did not create. Currently the pet name feature saves the name in the slot, not the pet, so changing out the pet type resets the slot name.
Perhaps someday they will change this, but it is not a bug”.

Not a bug. They know about it but it’s low on the list of things they may change.

For WvW, the main thing is to not wait until the last minute to go get those POIs, vistas and skill points. If you wait until the very last, and it’s all you have left, you will get very frustrated, as you’re not ever going to be able to just run around in one day and get them.
Probably good advice, but that ship has already sailed for me as I didn’t discover I would be forced to visit WvW until I already completed the PvE world.
I just can’t understand the mindset of trying to force players that like PvP to do PvE and vice-versa. For every person who may come away with a `that wasn’t as horrible as I thought` experience, far more are just going to be frustrated and annoyed.
While I get your meaning, you do understand how one sided your statement is, right? PvP / WvW players are forced to endure FAR more PvE zones to obtain the same results. The hardest part in mapping the WvW maps is being patient on the matchup rotation and remembering to go into maps regularly to check for easy availability to needed locations.
There is a difference though in why people don’t like it. While PvPers may find PvE boring, PvEers may find that being attacked by actual people is upsetting. It may be illogical, but it’s based on emotions which are hard to control. The difference means that these PvEers in WvW have a harder, more stressful experiences than WvW people in PvE.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Whenever “p2w” is used around here it is a sure sign the original user has no idea what it really means…..
I especially discount the posts where, after they use the term p2w, they then make the comment that ANet wont fix the perceived problem as it means more gem sales.

She should get a first automated acknowledgment of the ticket within the first day. Read this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Not-Getting-Our-E-mails-Hotmail-Yahoo-Gmail-Comcast to see if she has this problem. Check the junk and spam folders, they often go in there.
One common problem is that people try to use their display name to log in. It’s email and password. Double check to make sure she isn’t doing this.

He needs to close down the second ticket. Making multiple tickets slows down support and they don’t use the second ticket, they just close it.
He should update the first ticket and tell them again what happened. If more than 3 days have passed you can post his ticket number in the above sticked: Tickets for Review, 3 days and older.
If someone has been hacked twice in a year, they need to take a hard look at their security. He needs to run a security check. Look for keyloggers. Change the password on his computer’s email. He needs to use a password for the game that he never uses anywhere else and he should contact support to change the account’s password.
It will probably show up again. It first appeared January 28th. The next time was June 28th. 5 months.
I don’t know what you mean by retire. Do you mean your character forgetting that profession? No, because you already gained experience from it. They can’t remove the experience gained as skill points gained can be already used to make money and unlock traits and skills.
If you don’t want it showing on the list of crafting professions they know, learn something else, something you are not going to use on it. For example, I had one character I no longer wanted to show a particular second crafting profession. I has it learn cooking, a profession that I knew I would never use on it.
On my server, we pretty much own one map each week. Since that one can change, it’s just a matter of time until I have 3 of the 4 needed.
Is there a way to control which half of the map you spawn on when you enter a WvW match? Seems like that would help a lot.
It’s never random. Each map has one waypoint set aside for each server. When you chose that map you go to that waypoint. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_vs._World_panel
Now that they have the wardrobe located at your bank, with every skin that’s available, it’s easy to go through that and preview all your options. If you haven’t already done that then that’s your best bet.
LOL who makes you to take portal ? if they didnt verbal abuse you , you cant do nothing . Mesmer can place their portal everywhere and it is your choice to pick it up .
Mesmers put ports down to help guildies who don’t make the jumps. These people are instructed to stand together in one spot and wait for the port. If the griefer puts a port down where these people are waiting then of course they are going to take it.
It’s a good thing it’s not possible to buy alcohol from other vendors and give it to him. For all we know he is an underaged Quaggan and players doing this could be brought up on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Just think how that would look on your resume, a morals charge involving you and a drunk, young Quaggan not wearing much in the way of clothing.
Either way, giving alcohol to a Quaggan and having him drunk and in a Quaggan rage should delete karma from your account, not add it.
Good luck and have fun in game.
If this is something that effects real life then using your char to get past it is something that can be used outside of the game. You can use your char to learn coping strategies for changing those “stupid thoughts” to thoughts on how to go past those glitches and imperfections and use that mindset to carry over to real life.
While the map edges are ugly I do like the map interiors better than the Guild Wars 1 maps. For whatever reason a fair amount of the Guild Wars 1 maps forced you into corridors with towering hills on both sides of the trail, almost always unclimbable. To me these corridors were far more immersion breaking than the gw2 map borders, which are usually not obvious till you get close.
I’m going to use this post as an example. Even in Guild Wars 1, the maps were still rectangular, but since the space available in these maps wasn’t carved out to make use of most of this space, the player never noticed. See, that’s the thing, pretty much every game uses a rectangular map, it just doesn’t use ALL of that rectangle in an attempt to hide the fact it is a rectangle.
What you see on the map is a very literal and honest representation of the tech. A-net wanted to make the most of the space they had, instead of wasting 40% of it on mountains just to sell the idea that their maps weren’t rectangle cages. Most MMO worlds however do waste a ton of space on impassable mountains and oceans.
This is very informative post. I found the map layouts in Guild Wars 1 to be frequently annoying and constricting in how they forced you into small areas. I had no knowledge as to the why of it, that the numerous interior walls and bodies of water were used to hide the map shape.
The maps in Guild Wars 2 are so much better. It’s not just the ability to jump and climb over areas that were a hard halt in Guild Wars 1, such as hills, small ledges or the edges of water. The whole interior of maps are open and available to move in freely. If having visible map edges are the price to pay for having large open maps then to me it’s well worth it.
My question would be, is this something that affects you in real life or just in game? If it’s just an ingame consideration then maybe Elrey’s suggestion. Invent a personality and background for your char where he doesn’t care about such things. Or he thinks about them but then puts the thoughts aside.
There is a big thread about the new traits in the Discussion forum. Perhaps you might read it. Here is the link.
I’m not dead sure what your question is. The only one I saw was, am I missing something? The answer seems to be no. New chars do events or pay for traits.

I’ve never seen this problem before. The only way I can see to get around it is to “fake join.” If it were me, I would accept that guild’s invitation. They wouldn’t be able to send more invitations and I wouldn’t represent or speak to them. After that I would accept the guild(s) I actually want to join then leave the first guild.
I’ve found another thread regarding this bug, and it’s over 12 months old…apparently, reporting doesn’t do much.
And I’ve done that particular event a couple of times in the last year.
Events can bug out, get fixed and break again a year later. Just because you found a thread from a year ago doesn’t mean it’s been continuously broken. There would be more than one thread findable if that had happened.
I don’t think there are any female dwarves. They wouldn’t make a playable race gender specific.

“It is implied by Ogden Stonehealer that the female dwarves also have beards and are in fact seen in the game”.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dwarf
“For reasons unknown, female dwarves were rarely, if ever, seen”.Wasn’t there a running joke about that too with something along the lines being, “Female Dwarves, how would you know you were really speaking to one if you were?”
EDIT: Found it!
Ogden Stonehealer""How do you know you haven’t already met a female dwarf? Eh? Eh?"
How do you know Ogden wasn’t a female? eh? eh? ^^
What is the advice for completing exploration on the WvW maps? It seems like unless you happen to show up when your side is rocking’ it and has the whole map conquered, you’re kinda hosed for finishing these areas.
With my Ranger I would locate a Commander and join the zerg. If I got killed, I would try again, either then or another day. On my Mesmer I would check out the map and run over and grab places I needed that we hold. I would try for 2 or 3 new sites. Either way works. Expect to get killed and just try for a couple of sites a day.

You might consider making Ascended weapons. They have a background color and a light that flows through the scroll design (hard to describe. You should preview). They come in many different colors, which are linked to their stats. It does require level 500 in crafting. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascended_weapons

Since the precursors drop ingame from mobs at around a 0% level, this means most are made by Mystic Forging.
One person reported a 0.79% chance per 4 exotics put into the forge. http://smrrd.de/static/gw2/precursor.html
It took him, on average, 378 exotics to get a precursor. If you calculate the current cost to craft or buy 378 greatswords, this will tell you why Dawn is so high in price.Dawn is not one exotic. It’s hundreds of exotics rolled into one.
and you think that’s good for players?
i am asking because you didn’t reply …you didn’t have any opinion whatsoever …you just copy paste some facts from a site
Is it good for players?
What are the consequences of increasing drop rates of Dawn now?
Would Dawn decrease in price? A previous post said no.
This is what I think, not being an trained economist, just an educated layperson. If people thought they had a better chance of getting Dawn from the forge then more people would try. This means they would be crafting or buying more greatswords. Demand for rare and exotic greatswords would go up. Increased demand would lead to increased prices. The prices for the mats needed to make them would go up. If people are selling rares and exotics rather than salvaging them, then ecto supply decreases and ecto prices go up. If less people are salvaging the more expensive ectos, then the T6 dust prices go up.
Is a general increase in prices a good thing? For me, speaking as someone who gets my money from selling mats, yes. For those trying to make Dawn, no. It may take less tries to get it without costing less and it punishes those trying to learn crafting.
Edit: More specifically, to what I said in the previous post. You can’t base the price on Dawn being an exotic when it’s actually ~400 exotics all rolled into one. Even if the drop rate was doubled, it would still be worth ~200 exotics and if demand increases the prices for the component exotics then the price may even higher than it is now.

Dude, All is not lost. AFAIK, Anet can roll your account back if you contact them and tell them your situation. You will lose everything from now to the date of the rollback BUT … you will likely be able to get your org back. Anet is pretty responsive to this kind of thing from my experience.
No, they will not roll back the account. (An Account Restoration). Account roll backs are for accounts that were hacked. They will do a one time rollback per account for that reason only.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Account_Restoration
“Account restoration is only for an account that was compromised by an unauthorized person. We do not restore accounts impacted by scamming, erroneous gem purchases, accidental deletions, etc.”
Also: “Restorations do not impact guild banks.”
It just kept stretching longer…. and longer…. and longer….
That’s what she said…
All things have a right to grow?

I’m sure lots of people would love having it…does Anet know about it?
It’s probably been reported but it’s a good idea to do so yourself when you see a bugged event. You can report something either ingame or by making a ticket. Ingame for this is best though. Use the UI at top left of your screen. It will give you an option to contact support and a way to take and submit a screenshot.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Most likely it’s bugged, not disabled.
I have a feeling that if it were possible to do something like that, that ANet would consider it an exploit and ban people who handed out Legendary’s skins to other players.

I wouldn’t mind a cheaper version with no animations at all.
How do they know which guild puzzle you’re doing — or even that you’re doing one at all — if they aren’t in your guild anymore? Is a current member still feeding them this information? Sorry, I know that isn’t the point, but if you can keep them out of the loop on your guild’s activities then wouldn’t it solve your problems?
That’s the problem, as I mentioned, you should not be able to control anyone’s action in public area of the game.
Image you are playing a wvw, and running for the map comp, and people killed you, now you want to report him because he did that action in a public area which allows that happen. This is completely wrong. WvW is a place where the game instructs you to kill players. A better example was back in the beginning of the game, people figured out how to bug out certain skill points so no one could use them. Period. They were down until servers reset.
This is against the TOS of the game. It’s a bannable offense and anyone caught doing it SHOULD be banned. You’re not allowed to break the game because you want to have fun.
That’s what’s been happening in some guild puzzles. Guild Puzzles are cooperative not competitive. It’s how they were designed.
In another thread you complained about getting kicked out of a fractal. Why should you complain? Those people were doing what they wanted to do.
Well i did mention it to you the difference between the public area and instance area. They made guild jp in public area means that they allow this kind of thing happens.
Also, guild puzzle is shared for more than one guilds sometimes. Is this making sense, people who from the other guild who is also doing the same puzzle wanted to port their people out of the puzzle, and you and your mates used their port to get out.
Again, think about yourself before blame the others.
I think you don’t understand the situation. If one person makes the puzzle unfinishable by anyone, that person is breaking a rule and commiting a bannable offense PERIOD. It doesn’t matter if the person is doing it in a public area, or an instanced area. You’re not supposed to exploit anywhere, you’re not supposed to break the game anywhere.
A while ago, there was a bug that you could link something in chat and it would crash the client and Anet banned people for linking it. Obviously that was in a public area. It was still against the rules.
You replay just has no logic, and please provide the evidence that "Anet banned people for linking it. " This is their fault, they suppose to fix it not ban people accident linking an item.
They suspended people for exploiting that chat link. The ones suspended didn’t accidentally link it, they repeatedly crashed the client. And yes, they did fix it once they knew about it.
Celebratty.1632 thread
Hope you liked that proof kids, got a 2 week ban for that. Should be patched now, gg all the trolls who spammed it in wvw
September 17th,
I also have a second account that I use for other things, and I invited that account to the personal guild and left it on my main. That works too.,
I’m very sorry for your loss though.
That’s an excellent suggestion Lilith, thank you. I’ve come close a couple of times to doing what OP did, and I have stacks of stuff in my storage guilds. Including weapon skins such as Chiroptophobia and a Phoenix hammer.
To OP. That’s awful. Geez. I’d be upset too if I did that.
Yeah, griefing sure is horrible, huh? Just imagine, somebody intentionally trying to give you a hard time in-game. Awful! No reason for that! Except…
How Do We Report Guild Puzzle Trolling?
this sounds funny!
Well, i’d say people has the ability to do what ever them want in this game. It’s not breaking game agreement for doing such of a thing in open public area. If your guild event is more organized, I don’t think this kind of thing would happen. Consider about yourself before blame the others.
So, I guess griefing is only bad when it happens to you?
1st, please don’t bring something from different topic to this one.
Also, the situation is totally different, guild JP is in public area but FOTM is a instance area.
And also, if you don’t like the people who did that troll on you, you should ask for a better system, such as make the guild JP into a instance, but not to punish someone doing any action in public area.
The situation is not totally different just because one is a public spot and one is an instance. Griefing is griefing. You lost a lot of credibility when you said the other was amusing and defended the griefers actions.
