You say you can’t invite/join. Does that mean you click on his name in your friend’s list and no invite option appears? That if you pull up a party panel and type in his name that it doesn’t allow this? Does it mean that he can’t do the above with your name?

If neither of you can invite the other then it sounds like a bug.

I’ve never heard of such a thing as an ingame reward. I would suspect its a bug.

Edit: did you possibly receive it as part of the reward for finishing your daily? That does give a chance of a gem store item. I’ve never heard of anyone getting one before but it could be a new addition or an extremely rare one.

Took me ages to get my first gold. After that the rate slowly increased. Now, even without really trying, it’s easy to get several gold a day. I’m mostly a farmer and get my gold from harvesting/selling mats and random drops.

Because we are moving into the western areas of Tyria, which is historically Asuran territory. The Norn territory was North and the Charr held the eastern areas. It makes sense now for us to be running into Inquest now. That’s where they live.

Once the living story heads north towards where the Hall Of Monuments is on the map, that’s the time to expect to see the Sons of Svanir and their story.

If you can log into the forum then you are using the same login as the game. Since a hacker would undoubtably change the password, then it’s unlikely you were hacked.

Just to make sure, since it’s a common mistake, are you trying to login with your display name (Azrael)? The correct login is email and password.

If you don’t remember your password, you can try looking into the browser tools on your computer. It’s often saved there. If you do remember it, the forum site doesn’t require a serial number. You go to My Account at top right, login, then Edit Profile.
Any new password you change to has to be one that you’ve never used before.

To be precise, they don’t have the Transmutation stones (or crystals) anymore. They have Transmutation Charges.

But yes, you get one free application of the skin and then after that you have to use a Charge for each piece of armor. For this reason you may wish to wait, in PvE, until you are level 80 and are finalizing your look.

As an example of people taking Dev posts out of content, just look at all the threads about grind in the forums. The first set was based on one sentence from the Manifesto. This sentence, “We just don’t want players to grind in Guild Wars 2” was taken out of context and then numerous posts complaining about grind in the game made based on it.

So what did that sentence mean when it is read in context? Here is the whole paragraph.

“When you look at the art in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s visually stunning. I’ve never seen anything like that before,’ and then when you play the combat in our game, you say ‘Wow, that’s incredible. I’ve never seen anything like that.’ In most games, you go out, and you have really fun tasks, occasionally, that you get to do, and the rest of the game is this boring grind to get to the fun stuff. ‘I swung a sword. I swung a sword again. Hey! I swung it again.’ That’s great. We just don’t want players to grind in Guild Wars 2. No one enjoys that. No one finds it fun. We want to change the way that people view combat."

Now, in context, what he is talking about is killing mobs repeatedly in order to level. This is the old definition of grinding. The key defining sentence is, “We want to change the way that people view combat”. What people did then Is take that single sentence, ignore the surrounding sentences which define and give it meaning, then made threads and posts, ad nauseum, about how grindy the game is because they have to repeat content to get their rewards.

Thats not what that sentence means.

It only takes a few incidents like this to discourage the Devs from posting.

If you are referring to customer support tickets, of which the ’can’t buy gems’ is in the support category it’s usually Gaile Gray in the Account Issues forum that responds. Since she is an Account Liason, that’s her job.

As for the other Devs, I expect they got tired of having their words taken out of context and endless threads made about them.

They put in the Megaservers because of the numerous threads and posts complaining about empty maps. Posts about going to a map and only seeing a handful, at most, of other people there. While they might refine it, they aren’t going to remove it. It’s here to stay now.

Maybe you should look into some sort of lobby game, the type of game Guild Wars 1 is. You only see other people in cities. Otherwise the map is empty.

As to the rerolling part, I strongly suggest you read over the new trait system first. Any old chars you have will use the old system where they unlock as you level. If you delete/make new chars then they will fall under the new system.

If they asked you to destroy it, that’s a good sign. Otherwise they would have simply told you there was nothing they can do.

The difference between Guild Wars 1 presents and Guild Wars 2 presents was the not knowing what you are going to get versus knowing exactly what you are going to get. Not knowing makes a gift mysterious and exciting. Knowing…….not so much.

With all accounts getting the exact same mini. With most people, probably close to 100%, having multiple chars, all getting the exact same mini, that’s a recipe to devalue a mini to irrelevance. I myself have 11 mini Jenna.

What in the heck does anyone do with 11 identical account bound minis? One is, oh nice. Cool. Eleven is, annoyance at a redundant, useless item, stash in bank, never look at again.

If they are going to do the “everyone gets the same mini” again, I would hope that they change the rules to a separate present that contains the mini, one per account only. Maybe sent out on the account’s birthday if that’s the easiest way to do it.

There are 2 main problems.

One is that the maps used to be tied to servers. Now all the maps are collapsed to a few shards and no server is tied to any of them but changes from one shard to another as the population in the map changes. Since the old APIs were tied to server maps, not shards, they can no longer work.

The other is, with many maps collapsed into a few that means the number of people on the remaining shards is greatly increased. With so many people there, there are enough people to do the defend events now. Previously they weren’t being done. This allowed the temple events to proceed to the next step when the defend events failed and the API timers were able to show this. Until the population in Orr drops or the temples are themselves put on a timer people will have to wait for the defend events to finally fail.

Edit: one suggestion I read was to change the defend event so that each wave is harder than the last. Eventually the event will fail and allow the next event to start.

Contact the store you bought it from to get either a refund or a new card.

The game is still running but it’s not their source of money anymore. They don’t do big updates on the game any more, just bug fixes and balancing.They are not going to go through the work necessary and the costs in payroll to redo the game so that people can get the HoM differently. That would be a lot of work and money since the EOTN and the rewards are so tied together. This means you will only ever be able to get the rewards by buying EOTN and doing the requirements. If people no longer get the HoM rewards, it doesn’t matter to them since the game is next to abandoned.

Can you check your browser tools to see if it’s in there? Otherwise, you will have to do a search through your old email. If you can’t find it, then you will have to make a new ticket.

You shouldn’t need your serial number to change your password. You can do it from the forum.
At top right of this page: My Account. Log in there.
Then: Edit Profile. That should get you a change password site.

The login for the game and for the forum is identical. Email and password.

Just do the minimum required to get the build you want and let the others go, for now at least. That way it won’t take near as many skill points and time. You can always do more later.

Did you delete it before the wardrobe was put in? Maybe deleted a character that was wearing it? It’s only items that are actually in your inventory/bank/being worn that got put into the wardrobe.

I suspect they won’t be able to do anything about making a soulbound item account bound. If you bought the gems with real money then they might refund the gems so you can use those gems to buy a new tool when it becomes available.

If you bought the item with gems purchased with gold, you might be out of luck. Those gems appear to be tracked differently and from other threads I’ve read, they can’t give you gems that are bought with real money to replace gems gems bought using gold.

If ANet is anti-American then they have broken TOS and need to ban themselves from the game immediately.

After that the game can be sold to a competitor, such as Blizzard. They can then restructure the game, adding what so many threads on the Discussion forum have asked for. Raids, dueling, open world PvP and last but not least, mounts.

And all this because of cactus, bacon and coffee.

It’s the combination between the word hard and the on part of once. The forum filter doesn’t see spaces, just the letters.

Maybe if you disable that you will get more chat showing up from other languages so the server won’t seem as empty.

Maybe instead of stats, level 500 in jeweler will allow us to craft trinkets with particle effects. Once this is put into place, everyone with these new trinkets will shine, blink, coruscate, flash, sparkle, and have footprints.

Just imagine, a whole zerg equipped with these trinkets. ^^

The component part of the Legendaries are expensive aren’t they.

I made Moljinir for my Guardian. It’s not a Legendary but it requires 350 Charged Lodestones at over 3 gold each. That set me back over 1000 gold just for that.

I recommend you run a few dungeons every day. Use the gold you get as a reward plus what you get from drops and use that to buy a few Icy Runestones every day. It won’t take very long at all.

actually yes, because if they are actual ninja’s/assassins they would not need anything to cover it up, you can’t see them coming anyway.
also, some do this for a really good reason, it removes any chance of the clothing getting in the way of fast movement and removes any resistance from fast leg work.

They are never going to have the option to change costumes to armor or vice versa thru an NPC. That would require them to design as new all 3 armor weights for each costume. If they are going to do that much work then they are going to sell them in the gemstore as armor, for the full price.

The costumes are their own niche, a set that costs nothing to transmute. Since they don’t have to make the 3 armor weights and don’t have to check for glitches against other armors but can charge a good price for them, they are probably much cheaper to make than armor and more profit per sale. Which means they are unlikely to discontinue making them.

All that can be done is to ask for them to make more armor also.

They want to speak only to the account holder, which is your brother. You should close out that ticket and have him make one out.

The outfit looks great on the Asura and Charr. It looks pretty good on male Sylvari, although of course, the shoulders are too large. I’m not too keen on the female version because of the pants. To me they look ridiculous, not sexy.

This got me curious so i did a little farming of my own. Moa’s do seem to drop alot of junk raptors seem to have a smaller variety of loot so a much better chance of poultry. The Moa’s i killed seemed to have about the same drop rate as thehipone posted, I then tried the raptors at KarateKid’s spot and they had a much better rate of poultry drop than the moas. With this information i would conclude raptors are a much better choice than moas for poultry farming.

Reminds me of the times I spent running up and down one small area in Southsun, farming T5 and T6 blood. Good money then, but….. It did tend to get tedious after awhile.

And now it’s nerfed completely. Both mob density reduced and respawn time increased. As well as more people there trying to farm it.

I wonder if the box the OP saw was a toy Golem tonic from Wintersday. It’s boxlike in form and you can move around while using it. If it was lying on the ground because the player was dead, it would look like a box.

My guess it was someone using some type of transformation tonic. I can’t think of any though that will make you look like a box but there’s a tonic that turn you into a piece of furniture. There’s also a tonic that turn you into a guild banner. However you can’t move around with those.
