An absolutely terrible idea, if you ask me.
The problem with the Longbow isn’kittens DPS, but rather the fact that it’s ranged. To make the most out of it, you need to be at the biggest range possible from the target, which completely messes up the standard dungeon “strategies”.
I’d say it’s rather good for PvP and WvW, though.
And I’m just sitting here with my exotic equipment
I agree with Taygus, it’d be better to take those fun things in a different panel (maybe not the equipment though…) so you only need your inventory for loot.
Cannot be unseen. You have ruined the game for me, I hope you’re happy!
If only it didn’t have that horrendous animation and travel time…
Why do you have Signet Mastery with no Signets?
The thief’s downstate is mostly just annoying for the opponents. If used correctly, you might even negate 3 stomping attempts.
The problem is that, once you’re downed, you’re done. Other classes, specifically Warrior and Ranger, have a lot stronger downed states that can turn the tide of the battle.
It sounds to me like you’re not using skill #2 correctly, otherwise you could easily get out of stomping range.
A Dev did respond, saying that what was meant was, once a skin was unlocked it could be used infinite number of times (rather than having to acquire it, again, each time) for a cost of one Transmutation charge each time.
You probably already know that, though.
If you so desire, you can read through the Dev Tracker, for more information.
Or here: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/46419166-WardrobeWelcome back.
Meh. They phrased it in a totally misleading way. It was just a misunderstanding, after all. Disappointing.
I’ve been kinda busy IRL so I haven’t been playing or checking the forums lately.
I was wondering if ANet replied at all to our Wardrobe feedback and specifically my own question to them:In the wardrobe introduction blog (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-wardrobe-system/), it clearly says:
" Unlocked skins can be applied to items infinitely (for just one Transmutation Charge), which makes it much less stressful to try out a new look for your character, since you can always switch back!"
yet it doesn’t seem to work that way in-game.
This is quite disappointing, I should say.
Why is there a contradiction between what was advertised and what was presented? Is this intended? There’s an answer in the cash shop, it costs 801 gems to unlock though.
Not sure what you mean by that.

You should get Bunker Down or the moddified ammunition, Both are big dps.. Can keep static discharge or speedy kits, they both useful.
So, I should give up grenades for modified ammunition?
I thought that I probably shouldn’t depend on it, since I won’t be running with organized groups that can have high uptime on all conditions.
why would you even want to concider putting turrets in a power build?
You dont use the grandmaster trait for it so… yea id just go hgh might stacking elixer power/ though/vital build.
Im using the Rifle Turret mainly for the toolbelt skill. It’s also very useful for stacking might, since it’s on a short cooldown. As for the healing turret, it’s arguably the best healing skill for dungeon content.
HGH builds are kinda outdated IMO and personal might-stacking isn’t as useful in PvE.
I decided to pay a little more attention to my Engineer for PvE.
Here’s the build I’m using currently:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fdAQFAUlUUpPrlYxmKseNSaBNy7kGQuhV85JEgnC-TBSBABRoEsIlf3o2zFXAAU0Bgg5PAeAAUqKAA-e
What improvements would you make? What’s the meta build for Engineer currently?
I’m not sure what runes to use. I’m thinking Scholar is a safe choice for damage, but since I’m might stacking a lot, maybe Strength runes would also be a good idea now.
I’m not sure how I should be using bombs. I hear the autoattack has good power scaling, so should I be using that while rifle and grenade skills are on cooldown, or autoattack with Rifle instead, which also has a chance to proc Sigil of air and +15% damage mod?
If he starts using his combo on you, immediately DS + #3. If it’s on cooldown or he has stability, you might want to take Foot in the grave for reliable stability.
I don’t think it should hit through blinds and aegis. Why should it have that kind of advantage over other skills?
On the other hand, I think it should have different benefits to the user, like Stability and Protection while channeling it.
An expansion is aimed towards getting people to come online for a month or two, play all the content and leave again. Living story is aimed towards endless new content to encourage players to come play regularly.
The only problem right now, from what I can see, is that LS usually brings zerg content with not particularly good rewards.
Personally, I really like the Living Story and think it’s the right direction for ANet to go towards. I’m sure that the LS will improve in season 2, as well.
I know I’d love to see Destiny’s Edge fight Kralkatorrik.
Lemme rephrase that: “What’s your PC spec, if you have high quality graphics with no FPS drop?”
I have to agree. Unlike most classes, we’re quite dependent on our Death Shroud and starting with 0% LF is a bit of a problem sometimes.
Personally, I’ve gotten used to it and don’t really mind. However, I think it’s kinda off-putting for newcomers and casual players.
Yes, it’s quite a problem with Necromancers right now.
I never thought it could be related to pathing, though.
What’s the required PC spec for having the best quality graphics with no FPS drop?
It’s nice to see remains of the old Living Story! It feels more… real like that.
Hopefully they won’t remove it and it’ll remain a part of Tyria’s history now.
Goodbye. In the end thousands of hours of enjoyable playtime on any game is a good deal for the money when there is no subscription fee. And because of that if you ever get the urge, you’ll be welcomed back. Enjoy your other endeavors Random.

Awesome gameplay!!
Noob question: How do you aim behind you while running away?
You can enable “Free Camera” (I think it’s called that?) in the options so it doesn’t reset behind your character when you move.
They’ve already said that they’ve considered it and they’ll probably add it in the future, I think.
If you mean for PvE, Spoj’s build should still work?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/necromancer/Guide-DPS-Necro-for-PvE/first
The only playable race I’d approve of is Tengu.
What’s the reason for this change, though?
Why is this in the Dungeons subforum instead of the Warrior’s?
Is there a blog post or official thread with the details on the Dungeon nerf? I can’t seem to find it. Link would be appreciated.
Minions are pretty fun while levelling.
Dhuumfire is not particularly strong in dungeons.
Use Close to Death instead.
EDIT: Since it’s a DS-heavy build, I’m ASSUMING it’s a power build, which is why I prefer Close to Death.
WEEE NEW VIDEO OMG OMG
^ This is your man right here
AC – Elementalist
CM – Thief
TA – Guardian
SE – Mesmer
CoF – Warrior
HoTW – Ranger, I guess? :P
COE – Engineer
Arah – Mesmer
Fractals – Necromancer
Had to put mesmer twice :>
I… uh… I don’t wanna talk about it >.>
The Elementalist’s combo is harder to land against a good enemy, keep in mind, but considering they’re both full glass, I’d say Elementalist has the strongest burst.
Dual Shock 3, makes it easier for me to change attunements than an Xbox controller.
Woah, woah, woah, you can play GW2 with a Dual Shock? H-How?
So, I’ve been getting more and more ascended rings with random stats and I have no idea what to do with them. I’m running out of bank space and selling them for 5 silver each doesn’t sound too appealing…
What do you guys do with these drops?
Well, you guys dont seems to understand, if this is implemented you would never need to spam any bouton anymore, all drops would be placed automaticly in your inventory.
Think about ranged players, think about WvW, think about arah gate where you are shooting monsters everywhere around the place, you probably missing some drops even with AoE loot.
Just think about it, it would make the game so much more confortable, and for peoples like you that dont need this item you would simply need to not buy it from cash shop lol
All I’m saying is, since the devs are NOT gonna waste time on this with so many other issues at hand, you should use the Autoloot + AoE loot as a temporary solution.
I’d suggest going 30 into Soul Reaping for reduced DS cooldown and Renewing Blast (even though it’s kinda buggy right now, apparently)
Enable AoE Loot and Auto loot —> Spam F during fights --> profit
They warned us WAY before the feature patch. A little before they added the Glory Vendor, if I recall correctly.
s/d is not too good for www because of low hp and toughness and luck of condi cleaners. the best choice for www solo/smal group roaming is still d/p
What?
The weapon set has nothing to do with low HP and, if anything, Sword main hand is the only weapon we have with a condi cleanse.
@ OP: The build I use with S/D is 10/30/30/0/0 with Mug, Practiced Tolerance, Furious Retaliation, Executioner, Cloaked in Shadow, Infusion of Shadow and Shadow’s Rejuvenation.
Works well enough for me. Keep in mind that, IMO, S/D is more complicated and harder to use effectively than D/D and D/P.
You mean the spell finished casting and it was ready to drop, but you dodged shortly after and it got cancelled? If so, it’s a bug. Submit a report.
Saying straight up “this one is better” isn’t gonna fix or change anything.
Now that the timers for the events have changed, how do you know which event is up at what time?
I used to look at gw2stuff.com for my server, but it’s not updated yet, apparently.
I agree.
I think it’s mostly because of the fact we utilize the runes of Strength really well.
