Yes, you missed the voice recorder because you left the instance too soon. As far as knowing the name, it’s up in the air as to how the PC knew it.

Probably kill off Caithe.
Season 1 had relatively little story content. Most of the content was achievement hunting.
If you want additional content, check out the undeveloped area between the oasis and the caverns. It’s roughly the size of the first area of Dry Top.

I wonder if they intentionally leave these available for us as this area was incredibly easy to get to.
It’s your PC and/or internet connection. I know you probably here that all the time but it’s true. This is especially so if you get 3-5 FPS on the lowest settings.
Normally I’d agree with you Grimm, but not a single person has come out and said they’ve gotten one since 2 wintersdays. And even an object of this rarity would still see a drop every once in a while. Look at the chaos of lyssa pre patch. It was insanely rare and still, a few people got it. We would see that here.
The only ones being sold are ones that people have hoarded or signed on for the first time in a year and said “Oh wow I still have that!”
Assuming they have the same drop rate, consider how many people open black lion chests vs how many were opening gauntlet chances (including how numerous those were). I’m not saying whether it drops or not but I had to point that out as it is a factor to consider.
While you made two of the same greatsword over time, it’s not the same since it was used to create eternity. The devs could always an exception later but as far as the requirements go, you haven’t met them.
Well they did refund a lot of people’s duplicate legendary weapons. I don’t see how this should be different.
Probably because they’re not duplicates like I said in my post. There’s a difference between having Eternity & Sunrise versus having Incinerator & Incinerator.
Maybe that tome from the personal story quest in Timberline provided the name.
While you made two of the same greatsword over time, it’s not the same since it was used to create eternity. The devs could always an exception later but as far as the requirements go, you haven’t met them.
It appears to be about the same size as what was available before the patch minus the oasis section.
Then make a duplicate legendary like they did and get that title you desperately want so badly.
Spoilers!
Two different swords.
Legendaries have gotten significantly more difficult. People who got them last year only had to do about 1/20th of the work that has to be done now. Prices are up ten fold but gold generation and overall drops in game have been cut in half in even the best of circumstances. Not saying if that’s a good or bad thing, but the legendaries are as hard as they are right now because they should feel legendary doesn’t hold much weight for me, considering the majority of legendaries floating around were quite easily made compared to what people venturing out to get them now are faced with.
You need to PROVE all of the above….you stating it does NOT make it fact nor even close to ACTUAL truth. Your perception of how “easy” or “hard” something is or “was” is only “the TRUTH” in your own mind (and I will agree that is all that matters for YOU).
I hope I’m no the only one here that thinks the above quoted paragraph is pure delusional tripe and in fact mostly the direct OPPOSITE of the current status of the game.
The only thing that may be “harder” is obtaining the Precursor.
So because your opinion disagrees with his opinion you are stating yours is the actual truth, but still based on no facts. You are racking him/her for making an opinionated statement, but are actually doing the same thing…. ^^
Burden of proof falls on who is making the claim, not who is refuting it. Only after the one making the claim posts their proof to support there argument does the burden shift to the one refuting that claim.
Some Guy has Every Legendary , he either A, flipped trade post or B, its bill gates Son ..
The truth is, you don’t even need to be the son of Bill Gates to afford a legendary. Eternity, the most expensive legendary, only costs 735 USD, which is easily affordable for most middle class Americans.
$735? Wow… I guess I’m more lower class American than I thought then.
I am the only working income in my family… I am married with 2 kids. We are on a fixed income. I would be happy to pay a monthly fee of $15. However, I cannot drop more than that at a given time.
$735 is the equivalent of playing a $15 month game for 4 years.
Naïve people just irritate me.
That amount is doable for the people he was talking about. Is it worth it? No way!
Two things:
- We should be able to join an active mega server map by IP.
- Where we guest should influence which mega server we go to before our home server is taken into consideration.
on the second one, the devs said that your guested server is the one that is counted
I’ve tried guesting different servers and end up in the same map so either there’s only one mega server to go to or it doesn’t have an impact.
Unnecessary though.
I have played an average of 2-3 hours a day for the last 2 months and earned about 150 gold. That is 20 months of playing for the cheapest version of a precursor (Kraitkin).
What the hell are you doing that only nets you 150g ? You should run dungeons. And fine a really good bunch of people to run them.
Because I do that every night on the week-ends for 4 hours and in two weeks I get that amount.
some people don’t have four hours every night to play.
I have about an hour or so of free time during weekdays and only one day that is free during weekends.
I try to get my AC run every night (at lest a path or 2) during weekdays and that gets me 1.5 to 3 g per day. If I do my math right, that means I will forever be chasing that carrot on a stick due to the crazy price in TP rise.
I bolded the line that you didn’t read completely.
There are ways to earn more gold per hour than 3 gold and I’m not talking about the TP.
A reason that a lot of expansions in other games keep players busy for longer is that there’s a grind for gear. There’s really no other way to keep players busy. Since this game has relatively little grind, players that rush will be left without things to do pretty quickly. This will be apparent regardless as to whether they release content all at once like an expansion or over time like the living story.
Two things:
- We should be able to join an active mega server map by IP.
- Where we guest should influence which mega server we go to before our home server is taken into consideration.
Essentially you earned about 83 silver to 1.25 an hour for the 2-3 hours you played a day if I did the math correctly. So you’re telling me that you couldn’t do better than this?
Edit: rephrased the post to make my point clearer
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
They could release an entire expansion but players will rush and finish it all within a month and still leave.
Like how you are able to enter SAB now to do Worlds 1 & 2?
I’m lying
So you would prefer for Anet to spend time and resources to develop in-game voice chat, something they probably have never done before, so that players do not have to use third party programs that offer more flexibility and are more reliable?
if you get dawn as a drop and sell it, you’ll get 850g
if you craft sunrise and sell it, it’ll cost you another 1630g and you’ll get back 2902g (1272g profit)
if you craft a ‘random’ legendary, I would currently suggest meteorlogicus, it’ll cost you 2205g and you’ll get back 2796g (591g profit)
so… (1272g profit) vs. (850+591g=1441g profit)
I would say selling dawn then crafting and selling the highest-profit-legendary would be slightly better than crafting sunrise. of course, that is not always true (like if sunrise was the highest-profit-legendary).I’m not sure if my math is off but I don’t understand this.
A buy order for Dawn is currently around 935g, minus 15% trading fee – 795g pure “profit”.
Crafting Sunrise now would involve all the materials, skillpoints, karma etc, I assume everything you can buy is valued at buy prices for 1630g?
So if you sell it now for 2900g, minus tax leaves you with 2465g, minus the above mentioned cost = 835g
40g more but all your karma, skillpoints etc lost?
He either wrote the wrong number down or used sell prices. There’s more that enough gap between buy and sell orders for components to net you more than 40 gold in profit.
Yes. Probably by Christmas if not sooner.
Prices/drops do not need to be adjusted for players that lack patience. Anyone with a little effort and time can get a legendary.
I believe it’s always better to craft a legendary to sell rather than sell a precursor outright as most legendaries, if not all, provide a decent enough profit margin. I think I calculated a 530 gold profit margin between buying up all of the components for Twilight on buy orders and then selling it for whatever the lowest sell order was. Of course patience will net you more gold.
If Anet wants to have map-wide organization be a function for reward, there needs to be actual tools for map-wide organization (ikr). I don’t understand why they wouldn’t make the tools before introducing the need for organization. O.o
There are tools.
There are tools to organize an entire map?! Wow, I guess I missed them – please show me!
/sarcasm
The only tool to try to organize a map is map chat. But that is not sufficient as is abundantly clear.
Map chat can be used to organize and has been more than enough for all content. People have created guilds to help organize future events and to make sure they have the necessary players to perform the events effectively. You have commander tags to help split up players. There’s also teamspeak, and other chat programs, to make things a little easier rather than typing.
The problem with building content around those disabled, or with other problems, is that it makes the content less challenging and engaging for the majority of the population. As far as I’m aware, the core content (living story) is still accessible to everyone.
So basically you’re forced to do exactly what they do to keep the playing field level.
Are you serious?
You’re whole argument is flawed. “An exotic should be sold for an exotic.” It’s more than an exotic, as has been said multiple times now. “It should be sold for the price of a crafting material” a precursor is a crafting material, so yes it is being sold for the price of a crafting material.
You are being ignorant of peoples answers and expecting a dev to respond to someone making “demands.”
1>so you are saying that 1000g is a fair price of a crafting material?
2>last time i cheked it is an exotic
3>it is not an argument it is a topicpeace
1. Are you saying 1000g isn’t fair for a precursor to a legendary?
2. Did I say it wasn’t an exotic? Or are you strawmanning my post?
3. If something is a topic does that make it not an argument?Reply logically, and don’t try and straw man me again :P
1.yes
2.you said it was more than an exotic and whatever it is should not have such price…no i am not strawmanning you
3.it dependsand if you quote a question don’t reply with another question it is rude :p
so sorry if this my last reply i saw this after i posted the other one
peace
1) Legendaries are high in demand including their components which the precursor is such. Precursors have a very very low drop rate so supply will be low but demand high. Feel feel to research what the effects of this will be on price. These facts are more reliable than your opinions on what the price should be.
2) Exotic is just a designation of rarity. That is all. It is you who decided that all exotics can only have a max value which you deemed precursors to have surpassed.
Maybe have the commander icon be yellow to signify they’re from your guild. I’m not sure how valuable that would be.
Dear OP, it seems you just opened a topic to see everyone disagree with you.
If that is your goal, save yourself some work and just read this topic:https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/a-social-solution-to-price-undercutting/first
Edit: peace
1>that topic is talking in general…i am talking about one thing and one thing only
2> yes ppl disagree because because they are in the category i talked about earlier at least that’s what i think
3> no that is not my goalpeace
You mean the group that uses logic? People have tried to explain it to you numerous times but you’re just disregarding it because you feel that you are correct and everyone else must be wrong
i still don’t understand why you ppl focused on the 20g part…
questions:
why Dawn went from 20g to 999g ? and its still increasing
why an exotic weapon is cost more than crafting an ascended weapn?
is it fair to sell ppl a weapon for 20g then with time sell it with 999g ?
are you serious anet?
Yeah… I don’t know why people would get the idea to focus on 20 gold from…
it is abviously one question in all the questions i asked and i mentioned it because it is a fact but ppl are focusing on the “20g” from all the topic i wrote
but if you’re craving attention with being sorcastic thats your problem
By reading this thread, it’s clear that you have zero knowledge about economics. You’re instead relying on personal feelings and opinions on how things “should” be. This is just like a lot of other threads where people deviate from relying on facts but opinions instead.
prices are going out of controle because ppl still buying them just don’t buy it otherwise
you’re drifting away by the economics
I highly suggest you take an hour or two and learn basic economics. Reading about how they apply to game economies doesn’t help either.

I wish you could join a map by its IP. Very annoying since a lot of the meta events cause the servers to fill up and dump you into a random mega server.

Is the OP serious or trolling us?
Would be way too easy to farm skill points too.
It’ll be a wasted effort. The reason is not because people lack the knowledge but because they are unwilling to read and educate themselves about the topics they post about. You just can’t fix that.
With that said, this doesn’t mean I haven’t thought about creating some thread to be used as a sticky or a document where I can just copy and paste responses from. It’ll make things easier for us but it won’t fix the problem unfortunately.
No. It’s so you keep attacking him for the other achievement.
You have to get bugged and fall through the terrain to get over there.
Well that makes me feel much better about my futile attempts then. :B
It’s so out of the way most people would not find out how to get up there. Luckily we’ll all likely have easy access Tuesday so it won’t matter.
Is this here some kind of social experiment of how long a single person can keep a forum thread alive without advancing the discussion by even a single nanometer?
~MRA
You should’ve seen the TP flipper thread from a week or two ago that went on and on for 11 or so pages because of one person.
