There’s a lot of communication here. It’s just that it doesn’t always entail what people want to hear (e.g. Release dates, what’s being worked on, etc) which Anet has stated numerous times that they do not provide those details until it’s nearly completed.
How much gold per hour do people make from map rewards?
I think SW chest farm used to give like 15G/hr but I’m not sure how it’s doing nowadays. Not too big of a deal as I found a better way to efficiently spend my time to get gold.
Edit: Specified as chest farm in case there was confusion that I was referring to just the meta events.

- Players that decide to camp home the entire match.
- Players that call a match as a failure at the start when there’s more than enough time to turn it around.
- Players that get tunnel vision trying to capture mid while allowing the enemy to hold the outer points for extended durations.
You need to be in the match for at least 7 minutes to get full points.
Edit: It’s impossible to get 440 points on that map with 11:24 remaining unless you killed the lord. It’s also impossible for the map to end that quickly unless a lord is killed. Stronghold does not end when a team reaches 500 points.

Base ranger running 2 signets and…Berserkers amulet (15k health) and a drake? I’m guessing your lines are Marksmanship, beastmastery and wilderness survival?
It’s very hard to win when your team is playing 4v6.
yes i full dps build and i was the highest much point than my team member.
i think prob not my build this queque sytem realy nobady understand this sytem ?
this sytem like a some ppl all time win some ppl all time lose .
Having top points for your team doesn’t mean that you were pulling your weight and contributing effectively to you team. I’m not saying that you weren’t since I wasn’t there but I do want to point that out.
I think you should take a look at screenshot. It says: “Cross 3 league division thresholds during PvP season”. In season 1 it was enough to get to Ruby (cross thresholds from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4), in season 2 however it’s not enough.
The description for the achievement is wrong. Also, the achievement was not unlocked so it would not make sense to get credit for it.
Next season this summer, you will complete that achievement by getting to emerald.

Destroy the stealth gyro.
I’m actually surprised that your team lost. I’m not thinking composition has anything to do with why you lost. What was your Ele doing during the match?
Id put
mesmer, ele and rev on first.
Scrapper, necro and druid second.
Thief on third.
DH fourth.I dont think we are going to see warrior that often. So Im not really listing it.
But maybe apex will surprise us again.Apex isn’t in pro-league this season.
You sure? I thought I saw them listed as team.
Looks like the front page hasn’t been updated.
I watched these this morning. Players new to PvP may find some things useful. Perhaps understanding these will improve what we experience with matchmaking.

My experience in Ruby hasn’t been all that bad. So far I’m 4/6 tiers through. Much better progression than what I had in Sapphire.
Not really since you level so quickly. I usually upgrade my weapon every 10 levels and my armor every 20 levels.
We normally just clear it out for those that are unable to make it past the mobs.
I think the OP’s point is that not everyone has the skill to cross 4 divisions.
…
Some have probably stopped because they feel this achievement is beyond there skill.
While skill may speed up how quickly you advance, getting to Ruby does not require skill.
I beg to differ. I’ve been trying for over a week to get out of T5 sapphire into ruby, and the most pips I can get is 4 before I’m knocked back down to 0 pips. I’m not saying I’m the best, but I has some skill, and know what I’m doing. Sadly it would seem I get paired with the afkers, ragers, the clueless and the people who are just doing the 3 games a day daily. Ruby might not need skill, but it needs luck.
I encountered the same but I did advance to ruby… eventually.
The benefit of the divisions prior to ruby is that you cannot lose tiers. Regaining those 4 pip’s you lost from a losing streak is fairly easy to do. It’s not as bad is you were 1 pip from diamond and then had a losing streak that wiped out all of your pip’s for the division.
This is why I stated that it’s less about skill as a player can keep playing and eventually they will reach ruby due to the safety net.
Not to be that guy, but have any of you actually looked at the math of what happens with this system? It will lock you into losing streaks, you will not be able to play out of them…..
Have you looked at the math?
I also liked this video explaining the MMR system if a player doesn’t want to take the time to read over the MMR wiki page.
Edit: Saw your other thread.

A new alt account starts with higher mmr than you, so they start “better”.
Source?
The new account, with no previous history of participating in PvP, starts out at a specific MMR. It’s only higher than those who have tanked their MMR through losing. It really wouldn’t be fair to start new account at the minimum.
I also doubt that legend players re-rolling new accounts are having any significant impact. The reasons people lose is primarily what has already been described such as poor team composition, low individual skill, and not working as a team.

The colors are the same as for item quality, progressing from orange for recipes near your current level to yellow, green, blue, white, then gray for recipes that no longer grant any crafting experience.
I propose pvp legendary items should be comparable to PvE legendary weapons. No, they are not cheap. No, they aren’t easy to get. No, not everyone will get them. But everyone, regardless of how good they are, has the option of working their way slowly towards them. I’d also argue this is the best way to handle raids and legendary armor, but that’s a discussion for another day.
Which they can already do. Getting the PvP legendary backpack is very easy to get across the four seasons. You don’t need to go beyond ruby although it does speed it up when it comes to tickets and division progression.
Don’t need ley-line gliding for DS. Leap skills or consumables that provide leaps will get you to the spider HP.
Verdant Brink would probably be the quickest as there’s only 3 HP’s that have champs. DS can be done in under two hours. TD can be done in about 45 minutes if you’re with people for the HP’s. AB probably takes the longest with how spread out things are and the HP’s that require a group (for most people).
If you aren’t running Zerk/Glass builds HoT is pretty easy. Otherwise, you are one chain CC from dead.
I ran glass builds on every class in HoT and had no issues. Gear is not the problem that people are having.
It’s no more difficult than Orr.
Yeah. I normally drop down to right where you come in and see the airship when I port people.
I don’t think ruby players should be matched with Sapphire players… Breakin into Ruby was the biggest pain because all the Ruby players in the match were stuck at bottom of ruby using classes like thief and warrior and generally did not care for winning, and why would they, they are stuck at bottom of ruby on a 30+ loss streak.
They are stuck in that large of a loss streak because they’re not trying to win. It’s essentially a self fulfilling prophecy.
From what I have read, there’s a pip range that consists of the pool of players that can be grouped. If you’re at the bottom of a division then naturally you’re going to see some people from the upper tier of the previous division. This results in lower queue times and including higher tiers in the division may or may not be a good idea.

If you get downed at all, you will not be able to get the achievement. I had no issues doing it months ago and got it my first time that I went for it.
I got it after being downed — I think it might be that it’s hard to credit for 40+ kills if you go down, i.e. going down isn’t the direct cause, it just reduces your opportunities to kill 40.
I was casually going for it that first week and did not get it when I went down. I repeated it again without getting downed and got it. I was solo both times and Braham did not kill anything while I was downed. He actually glitched below and got stuck on something.
How about a single thread with various legends recording their gameplay and then narrating what they’re doing and why? For example, someone could make one using the auramancer build (or their modified version) and show how to properly play it over the course of something like three matches.
This may have a larger effect rather than tackling each person one by one although that doesn’t mean both can’t happen. It’s just that some people may not be able to record their gameplay or don’t really want to share it.
Group up with similarly skilled players or spend the first day speeding through the divisions to outpace the casuals and those who may not be as skilled. The longer you wait, the more likely you are to run into a wall.
They’re typically used for organized map-wide events funded by guilds or very generous players.
Do these people not realize that failure, is a critical part of the learning process ?
No it’s not. Succeeding is an even better part of the learning process. Where did you get your degree in education? I’ve learned far more from my successes than from my failures. “you learn from failure” is just a thing people say to make other people feel better about failing.
Wait are you actually trying to argue that failing isn’t part of the learning process ?
Here’s a video for you, the topic is PvP but all you need to do is remove the “PvP and replace it with Raiding”.
Listen to it and try to understand it, without going in with preconceived biases
Probably won’t be able to reason with them as their mind is 100% set. Failing is definitely part of the learning process as it allows you to see what you did wrong and how you can do better in the future. It’s not really learning if you suceed every time.

Just need two Mesmers and you can get ported from the WP.
Depending on where you died when falling, and the skill of the Mesmer getting down to you, you will only need one to revive you.
They don’t need to halve the points required, but I would certainly appreciate if they reduced them by like 10 or so. That’s how many I need for the last one.
Wait until LS 3 when we get more MP.
Well, the mastery point from Mayatl, as I knew, is the only one you can offer me. Now, can you bring me 11 more?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/When-are-you-nerfing-mastery-points/first#post6046661
I show 14 missing. I still have the fractal collection to complete so if that doesn’t count then it would be 15.
There are 80 mastery points for Tyria. There are 49 mastery points that can be spent on masteries. I’m showing an excess of 17 mastery points which includes the fractal collection one that I haven’t completed yet..
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
Yeah. The totals on that list are also not getting updated. I copy and pasted both lists into Excel and got 80 for the Tyria ones and 139 for the HoT ones. That’s also not taking into account how many that are missing.
I also count 66 earned mastery points for the Tyria ones in the mastery panel including the one I currently see available in the hero panel (fractal collection). This appears as if there’s 14 missing except they are meant to not count.
Considering you need 49 for Tyria and 117 for HoT to max all masteries, I don’t think it’s all that bad.
HoT Missing Achievements missing (comparing all of them tonight)
- Heart of Thorns – Act 2 – City of Hope
- Heart of Thorns – Act 2 – Predator’s Path
- Verdant Brink – By defeating Mayatl (No listed achievement)
- ????
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
Here’s a list. It’s missing a few or somebody forgot to update the total.
I kind of expected this.
Unless you count the 4th collection for the gift. But yeah, you’re not awarded a legendary weapon from a collection.
People are doing events. It’s just that the servers are not being advertised on LFG or they are full.
Also, if you are not ready before the Gerent spawns, you’re not going to succeed.
The raids themselves are balanced around a squad of 10 players which is unlikely to change.
They could have future raids be nonlinear like Underworld. I don’t see a problem with that.
Fair enough! Even though I feel like they could add a lot to the game, I can see that mounts aren’t a very popular opinion within the community.
And guys I do apologize for beating a dead horse, but this my first time posting on these forums so I didn’t really know what to expect when it came to this.
Even so, mounts really aren’t the focus here; my main issues were simply the over-abundant amount of Waypoints and the loading screens between zones.
It’s okay. Many of us see these posts come up often and now easily get annoyed by them.
Welcome to the forums!
We don’t need mounts in this game not do we need existing travel methods to be redesigned just because you want mounts.
Mounts are just screen clutter.
How’s one person a guild?
It will be fixed and reforged to become a precursor known as Caledfwlch to become the legendary Excalibur.
Oh man, they have the tech to do this justice, too. It’ll be like Replica Job-o-Tron and the r-Tron gathering tools, playing narcissistic and belittling statements when your character takes an action. Periodically (read: frequently) it’ll spontaneously regale those around it with tales of its history.
And whenever your character says something, it responds with “Fool!”
In the voice of Trahearne.
1.) Soloq and premade is mixed. Premade on com is the power, rest victims.
If that’s true, mind to explain to me why the win rate of five solo players is above 50% against five-person premades?
Only 1% of all Ranked matches played in season one were a full five-person premade group vs. a group of five solo players, and even then, the win rate for those five solo player teams in those cases was consistently at or above 50% throughout the entire season.

When they said pre-made, they were not referring to just a full five person team. You can do fairly well with four members who can coordinate together compared to randoms.
I wasn’t actually being serious when I said it. Someone was using that argument against raids so I just responded back by applying to everything. So yes, it’s ridiculous.
Agreed. You’d do better however to see where the argument came from first. Let me quote it to you
And again it is only about loot. Just say it for once, you just want the shinies other gets with less effort.
If you only want to experience the content you don’t need the loot.
If you need the loot as an incentive to do that content you don’t want to experience it.Gene Archer was just pointing out that this argument was ridiculous. Glad you agree.
/shrug
Difficult to tell sarcasm just as it was for another user with my post. With how they quoted it, it seemed serious until they explained in another post.
I’m not going to track the entire thread’s arguments and especially when a certain poster will not include the names of who they are quoting.
Remove rewards from all content. That way, only the people that truly want to do content, will do it.
Hey let’s remove the rewards from everything. Let’s see how many people still play this game. /facepalm
That’s literally as ridiculous as telling someone to go play this game in all white gear. How long is it going to take for people to realize MMO’s are entirely about rewards and time. You do something for bragging rights. It is literally a community. This isn’t simply a RPG where you play through the content.
I wasn’t actually being serious when I said it. Someone was using that argument against raids so I just responded back by applying to everything. So yes, it’s ridiculous.
