The lightning jump was always at the mercy of lag ever since it was introduced.

Hell, even when the spinning launch discs pads were introduced before all these fancy moves, there were problems.

I just hope these gliders in HoT don’t suffer from the same problems.

Azhure and his guild are in the wrong here.

If it weren’t for the fact that one needs to wait until after killing the FE to complete their key. You’re derailing the norm. It’s designed to be done in this order by Arenanet themselves.

You may not deserve to be verbally abused. But you are provoking it.

Normally I would agree with making it available year round (and certainly if I were in your shoes), but when you think about how easy this item was to get when it was available making it locked into certain times of the year is the best way to ensure that not everyone is walking around with it. (assuming that was the intention on Anet’s part, Mawdrey requires a lot of work so not everyone has it)

Tbh: just delete your frags/dragonite until you have a comfortable supply of them, at this point it isn’t likely that they’re going to introduce something that eats them by the thousands (compared to 50’s now)

…What?

It’s not a status item. Who cares how easy it is to get. It’s an item that useful for solving the problem where developers encourage players not to delete such items.

You wouldn’t be holding this opinion if you also had missed out on its limited time availability.

Now that the new stability change is going to be a use once sort of deal and then you’re going to get pounded to what ever comes your way.

Does this mean that dagger storm is useless now? What’s the point of a channeled elite that can be easily interrupted now? I mean there were ways to interrupt it before. But now it’s a two hit crowd control and it’s over.

I’ve literally given up on it.

So much. I just run straight at people attacking them, wanting them to kill me to finish the game quicker for the daily.

The funny thing is. I always end up getting the highest kills in the match by using this tactic and not getting a single upgrade.

Explain - zerker and active defenses?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Azure Prower.8701

Azure Prower.8701

4. Zerker do not mix with non-Zerker
To put it in simple terms: A Zerker expects the boss to die to a full Zerker team by the time they used up their 2nd dodge. You did not bring Zerker, therefore the boss did not die because you lacked damage. The Zerker dies as they did not have a 3rd dodge.
You blame the Zerker for dying and being a bad player. The Zerker blames you as they already calculated that they would not need a 3rd dodge if you had enough Damage in the first place. It is true that if you had brought Zerker, they would not have died(as they would never need a 3rd dodge). It is also true that if the players were not Zerker, they would not have died(but the fight would take longer). Therefore, Zerkers and non-Zerkers do not mix.

So much this.

Nothing worse than a self-righteous non-zerker in a zerker team big noting themselves because they survived. Only to show their ignorance of how the mechanics work.

my problem with crafting mawdrey

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Azure Prower.8701

Azure Prower.8701

I think you are overlooking that Mawdry is somewhat considered a Prestigeous Item

it’s a commitment item that is supposed to be hard and time consuming to get..
these kinds of items are highly sort after and supposed to be challenging in ways so that obtaining them requires you to commit to it..

I only got Mawdry a few months ago.. it took a lot of work.. a lot of items.. a fair bit of time to do.. and now I wear it proudly knowing that I put in the effort to obtain such a prestigious item

quite frankly my advice to you is simple
do whatever you need.. to get this item.. you will feel good about it when you finally make it that much I can promise.. and if you max out a few crafting proffessions along the way then that’s fantastic you’ll have them for life

I myself have every craft at max except Armorsmith which is around 425ish.. no it didn’t take me forever and no It didn’t cost a fortune either thanks to my hording of every collectable I come accross lol

Not a “Prestigeous Item” at all. Just a forced grind to be able to make use of all your blood stone dust.

My problem is the stupidly low drop rate of fox fires.

I think the drop rates are higher in Silverwastes. My sample size is too small to draw conclusions from, but I usually get about 1 cluster/3 trees there.

Really? Because I’m getting a 1 cluster/100 tree rate here.

Fair bit of disparity there. It shouldn’t count toward it, but what’s your magic find? I’m sitting on ~350% average there.

117% ish. But don’t think magic find affects rare gathering chances.

charging money to use skins you have bought/collected really makes this game seem f2p scummy

They don’t charge a subscription fee of any sort. If you buy $15 worth of charges every month, you could tell yourself you’re paying a subscription fee and have a fair amount of charges to play with every month.

What would the effective difference be?

The difference is with a cash shop. You’re tempted and pressured to spend more than $15 a month.

The whole argument that an official personal trading system hasn’t been put in, is because of scamming, is flawed.

There is personal trading. The mail system. But there is no system in place to prevent scamming when you want to trade directly with some one. Thus people have to trade to each other on faith.

The mail system was put in place, so people can give (donate free of charge) items or gold to each other. It was never intended as a trading tool.

Yet still has been used as such.

It may be used as such, but it was never designed to be used that way. As such, it is use at your own risk. The TP can be used at no risk at all.

So what was the point of not allowing secure player to player trades again?

Events are becoming who can way point the fastest rather than who can navigate the terrain better to get there.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Azure Prower.8701

Azure Prower.8701

Same thing with DPS.

People say I’m “DPS.” When it means ‘damage per second.’

’I’m a damage per second.’

The correct term should be damage dealer. Aka DD.

’I’m a damage dealer.’

But when so many people use it. It becomes the set in stone lingo.

Kind of how certain English words change meaning over the years due to popular use conforming in a certain way.

When I read a review on a gamesite and I don’t see anything where they litteraly tell that they played the game, then man, I won’t take that review seriously!!!

Dude, your white knighting is losing its touch.

He’s not a white knight. However, I can’t state my opinion of what he really is, since I’ll get an infraction again. Just bear in mind that he is able to actively defend the game for at least 8 hours a day (check his posting history) and does so on every thread, with a PR-esque demeanor.

When every hardcore white knight I’ve seen over the past two years has long stopped posting and Vayne still remains. It does make you wonder. Pretty dam(n)ing for Anet if it’s true.

But then again he does come from Australia. A place where people have too much free time on their hands.
