Scarlet is dead.
Mai is not. Aetherblade pirates are still around and she is the leader of them. She and the Aetherblade pirates are in heavy cooperation with the Inquest.

It was Mai, Aether pirates and the Inquest.
She’s back.
If SAB is the most important thing in GW2 for you then I hate to say it, but this game isn’t for you. Perhaps search eBay and buy yourself and old NES and some games. SAB is fun and all but it isn’t really much of GW2 itself but a side game.
It’s not that SAB is the most important thing for me. It’s more it’s the best content Guild Wars 2 has ever had.
Having lots of fun with WildStar at the moment.
How ever the only thing I look back fondly about in Guild Wars 2 was SAB. It is the true gem of this game.
In particular (although it was quite hard) I loved this level:
http://youtu.be/gnWugcmAFKk?t=5m
Why?
It was full of wonder and mystery even after the 100th run. There was always secrets to be found and challenges to over come. The lonely atmosphere of the ice level was quite daunting in a good way.
It actually felt like a world… not a boxed in rectangle instance. Which is the majority of Tyria.
It would be good if you could swap some of this crap for gems.
Good luck with that.
Obsidian Sanctum is hard?
I finish it in under 5 mins with out a mesmer portal as one of my typically average runs.
Only if the arena drops the two people to their deaths after 5 minutes.
Because watching two bunker builds fight it out is boring.
Nice list.
I’m not bothering to get the meta. That’s how much not worth it it is.
It’s so that people would buy gems and convert them to gold. This is on one of their official advertisement pages.
Exactly this.
This is where business model interferes with game design. Why F2P and B2P methods do not work.
Warrior gets boring.
Thief keeps me interested.
Short answer.
Yes.
For some reason I recall a news story about a guy that committed suicide when his character died because he had to start all over again and that is why most MMOs don’t have that setup. At least not from the initial start. I’ve heard of it being an unlockable mode though.
But seeing as how this is an honor system challenge, I’d at least keep up with it here at the forums.
If you die in game, you die in real life. Hardcore.
Upscaling now does add significant complexity to China players, as their leveling curve and the points at which they unlock features and systems is completely different from the experience in NA/EU. The Labyrinthine Cliffs was absolutely designed with both territories in mind, and with those considerations, everything from the decorations to the content was geared towards providing a fun festival for everyone to enjoy.
That’s a very worrying precedent.
They have multiple accounts.
In the e-mail they also sent me a promotional video.
Not really. But this is what that broken link feels like.
Well, since the page itself is not up on the website (at least not visible) they would have a hard time putting a working link in
The link itself does most likely actually link to the correct page, but yeah well, since the page doesn’t exist right now it will give us an error.
Because sending e-mails after the page is up is too hard.
Please give us working links when you send us e-mails.
Only noobs are offended by the word noob.
It’s time to bring it back.
I miss it.
I want to play it.
Why can’t we permanently have it?
What do you want to do with it? Once you obtained all you can get, you’ll hardly, if ever, revisit the SAB.
SAB has a lot in common with 8-bit games and I think that includes the replayability.
People still play the original Mario games. They aren’t getting anything new or different from it, they just enjoy the content.
If people want to play mario games, they play mario games. If people want to play GW2, they most likely wont play SAB.
If you don’t like SAB. Just say you don’t and be done with it.
You’re in the minority.
Love it. What I love the most is Tribulation Mode, it offers some decent challenge for the boredom that comes from the dungeons (since both are 5-man content).
I’ve never actually played SAB with more than one person. How fun is it with a full party?
Easy/Normal mode is fun as long as you don’t have leechers. Leechers as in people who just stand still and wait for you to do the jumping so they can just check point to you. You even get achievement clowns who let me wait at a gate because he wanted his dig achievement. All 100 digs…
Trib mode. Solo or go home.
Needless to say I solo’d most of the second version of SAB. Less hassle.
With Megaservers. There’s really no point now. So I guess that answers the question in it’s finality.
Instant level 80s yeah!
Arrives in a dungeon at level 80 on a class never played before: “Hang on guys, I need to unlock my weapon skills first!”
There’s already tomes of knowledge….
An expansion is the only thing they can offer that I’ll pay for.
Then it’s a good job for Anet that you don’t represent 100% of their player base, or else they’d all be out of jobs by now and GW2 would have been shut down.
Cool. Because bad business practices deserve bad outcomes.
I’ve died as one of those spirit of light things in edge of the mists whilst going down some stairs.
ie. Not jumping at all. Going down stairs in a straight line.
Oh, it’s scary music you want do you?
This content still exists?
I have a great idea. How about, since we can’t predict when the temple is ready for the event they let us purchase the traits with karma from the vendor like karma armor. That way, since the megaserver has completely messed up even trying to get the traits, we’ll be able to acquire the trait. Make it 100,000 karma and the required skill points. At least we know at that point that ANeT didn’t purposely create a gold sink at the vendor by making it nearly impossible to get a trait from an untimed, unpredictable, griefing, temple event.
Because 3 gold is a lot.
I’m guessing you don’t know how the game works.
If you notice that the twilight and sunrise are using reflective textures. The angle of what you look at the blade determines what you see.
It will never happen on what that thread is trying to suggest, nor will Anet waste time on it and man power on it.
Give up.
I heard there are these other maps where real WvW is performed.
Incoming Scarlet 2.0.
If we’re doing any voting.
I’m not going to vote at all and then save all the unused voting tokens to make a small mint post patch.
You all make me feel young.
Announcement date:
1st day – 4th month – 2015th year
Map is fine. Adapt or lose out.
Just run Edge of the Mists and rank up in no time.
Not hard.
Every time I go into Spvp. I always see these two specific players feeding each other kills (one just standing there whilst the other beats on them) in a server that always runs the sky hammer map.
Then when I join in and manage to kill one of them. They both sit in the spawn area until the end of the match and only move around within the safe area to avoid the afk kick.
Using the in game report function has proven to be useless.
Which e-mail do I contact to take this further?
Counter argument. Anet made it so you had to dive underwater and fight enemies in an awkwardly angled ship to get one of your grandmaster traits.
snip…
Another thing that WS is getting right is PvP. They have MULTIPLE game modes, something that GW2 has been sorely lacking since launch. Additionally they don’t have the stupid hotjoin auto balancing or the constant 4v5 that happens here. Plus WS has GvG which was supposed to be guild wars namesake.Casuals will probably stay here, people looking for a challenge will probably migrate to WS.
They also have open world dueling and a sub fee, two reasons why I will remain playing GW2.
I don’t understand people’s qualms with open world dueling. Why does it bother you?
Lets just say I would prefer to “see” us vs “them” and not “us” vs “us” in my Player vs Environment (PvE). Personal choice, but if it makes some players migrate to WS, I won’t lose any sleep over it. Anyways this topic has been discussed to death so I can see no reason to derail this thread.
Does it break your immersion or some thing? Never heard of sparring?
Fractals are still relevant?
This thread…
…wut?
The only exception I can see be made is for RNG items like the jetpack in the molten alliance dungeon.
I should have known better to think that this had anything to do with actually playing the game up to 80. Hitting scrolls and tomes any ape can do.
Welcome to the modern era of Guild Wars 2.
I always wondered why people don‘t like dwarves to be added?
- There are still hidden areas in the Shiverpeaks
- LS could lead to the discovery of though-to-be-dead-dwarves.
- Dwarves would balance the size across professions: 2 large, 2 medium, 1 small
- ODGEN STONEHEALER
DIVA
The Dwarves are dead as a race. They were all turned to stone by the Great Dwarf Blessing and are fighting the Destroyers deep below the earth. Ogden was the only one who was not turned to stone.
By Ogden’s hammer. What savings!
Holy cow do I completely agree with Svetli. While it’s true good people do play at all sorts of times, chances are you really only trust people on your friends list, and just add people who were good in pugs when necessary, and put the absolute awful players in the ignore list; while it’s kind of a pain to go through your friendslist see who you added for what, assuming you nicknamed the people you add and ask them. And do not get me started on people in wvw, they will let you down at every single turn.
it’s really an awful thing that everything is a once a day thing, sure you “could” do dungeons multiple times a day, but there’s no point. Horizontal progression is fine, there is absolutely no need for vertical. Just look at the first guild wars, only horizontal progression
Well why do a dungeon if you have every thing from that dungeon you want? Ppl who want to run the same things over and over and over and grind them out in one day are trying to get every thing from that one dungeon and will never step foot in that dungeon after. By letting them have a some what type gap there is a opening for other ppl to join in with them and make groups to run dailies events or even for pugs to join in because there always going to be some one wanting to run a dungeon event etc.. as long as there are ppl playing the game at different times then other ppl.
I preset that GW2 is the most social game on the mmorpg market and has set a stander for other mmorpgs that MUST be held up to or these games will be called solo games.
Anti-Social is: not letting ppl fight the same mobs in the same zones; not letting them get loot from that mob because they did not get first tag do the most dmg or get last hit; forcing ppl to fight over nodes that only spawn per zone not per player; has system in places that lets ppl troll mob spawns such at tagging a mob and running away with it; not having a game wide or server wide AH or TP system. These are major effects to a social game all of these make a player want to get away from other players and try to avoid them at all cost.
Account bound items do not effect how you feel about other players and being near them in a game. Doing dailies events dose not make you avoid ppl.
WvW is a different game altogether where you will see some of the most social rewarding for players to the point of making a hate for “zerging.” Yes if you act like some one who is trolling then others will act like that to you because that person who act like this is being anti-social in a very social system to the point where if you act such brakes up the system of wvw. In a way WvW is so social that when a person acts anti-social it harms wvw players and there worlds that they come from.
WvW is about as social as where you sit at a celebration party you’re invited to and not talk to any one.
Edge of the Mists is hands down the place to be for every one at the moment. No matter the reason.
Why are you showing me a video of some random guy talking?
At least give us the option to get those world 1 and 2 tribulation skins. Since the wardrobe has returned to make them even more useful. Gives us some thing to do while we wait.
sab sucks
more content please
SAB > More of Scarlet’s Antics
If there were secondary classes.
I would make a Thief/Warrior.
So no one could catch me. Ever.
