Do tell. I love short bow. While testing out some builds in WvW. I got completely wrecked by a thief using a short bow. But not sure how they did it. All I know is they use some of the DA and Trickery trait lines. They hit like a truck using disabling shot and cluster bombs whilst their bleed conditions were also potent.

I didn’t see nerf on dmg at all… i have see up from target’s sustain.
But not nerf dmg.

The reason why you went “up” in critical damage is because they added the base crit damage onto the number to hide the nerf.

Base crit damage is 100%. So if you had 200% before. You only have 102% now. That’s almost half your crit damage gone.

Deciding to revamp my thief quite a bit after the crit damage nerf.

I have a thief with ascended graded dagger/pistol + shortbow. Using zerker gear and now traiting for 6/0/6/2/0 (Pre-crit nerf patch it was 0/6/6/2/0).

For runes. Since I’m getting might from stealth. Would it be wise to invest in runes of strength and throw my tired ruby orbs away?

As for sigils. Would fire and air combined be better for shortbow? Or continue to use fire with sigil of force instead? I don’t recommend fire on dagger/pistol as the proc can trigger unwanted reveal.

The new update has killed all aspects of fun and convenience that sPvP had for me.

Dressing up in crazy outfits whilst messing about in games was glorious.

Now not only do I have to pay to change outfits in sPvP. But also now you’re made it completely tedious to run a different weapon set than what you run in PvE as the equipment you have is taken every where with you with out automatically changing when you enter sPvP.

Will not be touching Spvp for the foreseeable future.

I’ve been wondering… I play TESO now to check it out, and noticed they have 1 server for all European players + there are no instances separated by logging screens like in GW2, e.g. Queensdale/Kessex etc. etc.
Would it be possible to do the same for GW2? It’s so nice and smooth to see you don’t need to cross some funny portal/logging screens and simply walk around a huge unlimited space with millions of people.
Do you guys think it would be possible for GW2?

If we did this on GW2, I’d totes be an Aetherblade. CROWD CONTROL FOR DAYS.

I think it would be great if they rather give people some faction specific skills upon joining. That LOTRO way was (or is) just an clever idea how to make PVE more challenging, it’s not the typical PVP. Might be a great idea to collect data from the players playing for monsters actions and improve the AI accordingly.

You would never hear the end of it from the PVE purists who’d complain that it is too hard or that PVP doesn’t belong in their game.

The OP is right in saying that words can hurt. Words can even kill.

There are two different things going on here.

One is that people who attack other people personally should be banned from the game. Verbal attacks against other people should not be tolerated.

By the same token, there’s also the fact that there a certain sensitivity the comes from being bullied over a long period of time you can’t relate to unless you’ve been bullied yourself. There comes a point where each person who’s been bullied has to look at their life, their emotions, and ask themselves whether or not they’re going to continue to allow other people to get to them. Some people say this is growing a thick skin, but it’s not.

It’s taking control of your personal space. It’s taking control of your enjoyment of life. Whether something said is wrong or right, your need for people to respect you on any level is going to end in tears, because not all people are respectful. So you need to make a decision. To I allow these people to win, or I do I win myself by not giving them power.

I know I chose the second way.

The problem with the OP is he or she is not being targeted. The OP is how ever targeting other people because the OP feels they are either misusing a word or doing some thing they don’t like (eg. discussing music or personal opinions).

Every one has their own personal views. I can see nothing constructive coming from this thread and it feels like it is bait.

All this thread is going to devolved into is a mud slinging contest declaring those who don’t think the same way are racist, bigot, insensitive with threats of suicide to further portray themselves as the victim. Yeah, no.

This feature update is actually why I started playing GW2 again. Well, and I finally remembered my password, but that’s a whole other story. :P
As for content, I’m sure there will be more content soon.
Also, ZudetGambeous, ESO is terrible. It may have plenty of new content, but it’s a less-than-subpar experience.
WildStar and ESO are both P2P. Believe it or not, you can play both games if you want, without breaking the bank!
I play EVE and GW2, myself. I know, unimaginable is it not?

Edit: Can’t believe Isn’t…. It is censored on this forum.

You may think that, but the plummeting GW2 population tells a different story.

Plummeting? Says who?

Ah right, the megaserver announcement means the game is dying?

It does. It’s just a server merge under a different name.

No, it’s a way to get rid of the word Overflow on the minimap that everyone started to hate despite having valid reasons or not.
On high population maps it’s gonna still work like an overflow, they’re just trying to get the negativity out of it.

It’s also a way to answer to the countless treads people made about “reverse overflows”.

Even on the lowest populated maps like Timberline Falls you still find people, last week I came across 6 players there while doing my daily gather, which for a map like that on that time window it’s pretty impressive.
Something like Gendara will more often than not throw me in overflow, and these days with the WvW new AP I get 150+ people queue for EB and 60+ for each BL.

So in other words. It’s put in place to fix the low population problem.

You know. Kind of like how they do with server merges.

If you want a game that builds convenience into the game then you’ll want a sub game. Wildstar for instance.

In a game that generates money through a cash shop they intentionally build in lots and lots of inconvenience in order to push people to spend money so they can fund the game. It is the trade off for not having a monthly fee.

Pretty much this.

Although Guild Wars 2 was worth the initial purchase. I do not see any future with investing further into it due to intentional inconvenience after intentional inconvenience that the cash shop poses.

Even if I was to spend money on the cash shop. I would still be getting as much value out of the game as if I would not. Because the inconvenience that interferes with the game play will always be there.

It’s why now the other up-coming NCsoft published game has my money.

And second yesterday I was crossing the Vigil Keep and everything that was in LA is there. I won’t buy the pass, and I dont see the need for it.

Plus, even if you buy the pass to have access to a more practical central point of the game, so what? Arena net does not charge you with 15$ every month in order for you to play the game, nor does it give you half the game free and makes you pay to have the other half.
They give you a full game for the usual retail price and content updates every 2 weeks. They need to get money somewhere and they do it selling stuff that’s not even required for the players to have a good game experience. The pass is a comodity, you really don’t NEED it.

You don’t need a lot of things.

I have crafted Ascended items, and as far as I am aware you do not need to use the Mystic Forge in order to complete those. So how is it relevant?

I also find it extremely unlikely that you keep crafting Legendaries everyday and thus need to run between the Crafting Station and Mystic Forge.

All they’ve been doing so far is convincing me that buy to play is not in the best interest of players. Do not enjoy being ‘nickle and dimed’ to enjoy the game that has sub par content. Save for a couple of saving graces.

I might have missed something but why would you even need the Mystic Forge when you are crafting? And how is this somehow essential?

It is rather funny that you are still shouting about abandoning GW2.
Why not just get it over with? You have been “threatening” with that for a rather long time now, and yet here you still are, update after update complaining about how bad it is and how you will leave the game.
