“The map feels very very dead because it’s full of players.”
Now I’ve heard it all.
I have no idea why people try to measure others by their AP. They say absolutely nothing about that player other than that he/she has too much time or concentrating on farming AP.
Even some other players like the hardcore PvP/WvW players have usually only something between 3k and 10k. At least they know how their characters/builds work and know how to play. Some of the worst players i encountered so far have 15k+.
Basicly the same principle like with the legendary weapons. Having 8+ Legendarys does not make anyone a good player in terms of skill.
People just like to measure their AP sizes.
If you came into my clearly labelled zerker-only party. I would kick you too.
Played since head start. Played over 3k hours just like you. Wasted a ton of gold on the mystic forge like you. Ended up buying my precursor instead to make my legendary.
Friend came in with me at the same time. Played a little less than me how ever. Got a precursor today in edge of the mists…. It was an underwater one worth 60g.
RNG is a kitten.
The voting system on that site has little more merit than you spamming “Guild Wars 2 is awesome” 1,000 times with a macro function.
I am fully aware how the system works.
But what I am questioning is that if people would have claimed the same if GW2 had dropped 10 spots the last lets say 2 months or if it had been acceptable as a good source in that case.
It would have the same merit as it is in its current position.
If you’re looking for valid praise for the game. There are plenty of examples such as the awards given for SAB. That was well deserved.

It is quite interesting that when something puts the game in positive light it is not a reliable source, but for some reason every time there is something negative it is always 100% true.
Problem is with your sarcastic blanket statement. I’ve been on the mmorpg.com site for a long, long, loooong time. Before Guild Wars 2 was announced even.
The voting system on that site has little more merit than you spamming “Guild Wars 2 is awesome” 1,000 times with a macro function.
I’d take mmorpg’s list with a pinch of salt. It’s easily manipulated.
People who are spamming votes and hyping up a game are spending that time not playing it.
I like the new dailies. I do them with out thinking most times.
But that’s probably because I play all aspects of the game (PvP and PvE). Not try to limit myself and whinge like a kitten about Anet not catering to me.
It has always been like this.
USA: Blood and guts. A-OK!
USA: Sexualisation. Outrage!
China: Sexualisation. A-OK!
China: Blood and guts. Outrage!
Wonder what would happen if you put 4 precursors in the mystic forge…
You get a junk exotic back.
I have around 110% MF and haven’t received a single ascended item yet.
Also I don’t think MF affects it.
There are a lot of purchases going on at once, the trading post has to check that the price it has shown you for an item is still available – as in someone else hasn’t purchased all of the item at the quantity and price you were shown. So yeah it takes a second for the transaction to go through, but it’s really not a bit deal. You are literally complaining about something that takes two seconds being slow >.>
That’s not the reason why it is slow.
The real reason why it is slow is because it is an in-built web browser loading up the page.
Some thing that annoys the hell out of me and I don’t get why they just didn’t use the game client instead.
Welcome to the nanny state simulation.
I’ve had this happen to me as a commander. I saw it coming. I stood still and told people to stop.
Yet the zerg kept going to their death.
Two methods I use:
1. Left click to select target on who you want to invite, then click on the party UI and invite/join button.
2. Pop your commander tag and /supplyinfo on top of them to get their character name.
There’s also a method when you use an /emote @ them with them targeted in down state. It shows their name in chat emote line when they die.
I’ve seen people jump out into spectator mode waiting for the auto balance so they could join the winning team…
Well it’s hotjoin. Ppl will do a lot of “weird” stuff to get the win bonus there. One popular method is to spectacte at the beginning to determine ranks of ppl playing and join the high rank team. The high rankers regularly stack on one side, too.
Hotjoin is a complete mess with “honor” being rare. Accept that and you’ll get a lot less frustrated. Play it for what it is, win or lose. No one’s going to track your losses in hotjoin so why stress over it?
Many go into sPvP for the new rewards. Winning gets those rewards faster. Especially if you hit volunteer.
But Mai Trin is still alive.
We’re not out of the woods yet.
At the moment EotM is karma train central.
How ever if that was to change. Overgrowth is no doubt the dominant side when it comes to defense.
Not only do they have the sentries that show where enemies are. Not only do they have the most difficult keep boss of the three. They also have the altar buff called spirit of light.
Why is spirit of light game breaking? Because of it’s invulnerability.
What’s so good about the vulnerability? Try standing in the smack middle point of a gate in front of the enemy that is attacking.
The enemy rams HAVE to attack the centre of the gate. Guess who’s standing in the way of the rams? Yep. The rams cannot damage the gate with their main attack and will instead be wasted on you with the invulnerability buff.
I managed to hold off a 50~ zerg at the outside gates for over 15 minutes until our friendly zerg came to wipe them. Just me alone. Around 15 minutes I held them. Each time waiting out the 3 minute buff I had and exploding before coming back to do it again.
Is this really intentional?

Skyhammer is entertaining and brings those lovely daily tears to the forums.
+1 vote to keep it.
It’s a map where you can’t mindlessly hambow your way to victory.
Warriors are the most tankiest class who have the best passive heal. OH! and they have skills that cleanse all conditions on them as well as skills where conditions cannot be applied to them!
Warriors are fine. Learn to play.
I have a level 80 warrior. I’d play him more for spvp if it weren’t for the fact it gets boring rotating through the same set of skills and not dying. Rolling my face against the keyboard would be more fun.

If it says 0 as the number of charges, the change is free. It will pop up with the transmutation notification even if your recoloring something, so don’t worry.
Just don’t get used to it. I find it highly suspicious that the transmutation transaction is conveniently programmed into the dye coloring system. I’m betting it won’t be completely free for long.
I’m betting you’re just being paranoid.
China Guild Wars 2 says hello.
im a zerker ranger and i dont use those traits. believe me, use signet of beastmaster or you’d be a thief’s lunch.
Someone who understands power ranger. Kudos. You can’t use read the wind or thieves will global you. I tried substituting Signet of the beastmaster for Read the Wind and protect me (which is roughly the same as SoS). The problem was you lost your mobility. So then I subbed for travelers runes, then you lost your burst from SoH.
Signet of the beastmaster should not be competing with Read the Wind. Move it down a tier or make SoB baseline like every other signet in the game.
I like to have more than one of my grandmasters too as a thief. But we all can’t be all to end all. Need to decided whether you want survivability or damage. Not both.
+1
You do know you can buy them straight up for 3 gold and 20 skill points each right?
You don’t say……
So, what’s the problem? You’re complaining that you’re not getting it for free because you don’t want to invest the time waiting for it to open?
You know, it seems to be rare, but there are actually people out there who are willing to play this game the way it’s meant to be played.
How you think it’s “meant to be played” and how Anet “wants it to be played” are different things.
Nope you can AFK and cause events to fail just like the dead people at grenth and tequatl that won’t waypoint to reduce scaling. Like I ran past a couple of defeated players dead bodies even though they cried for help. It’s not griefing to do nothing to help the dead people so it’s not griefing to do nothing to help the lyssa defense event.
You and the OP are no better than the people who kick rangers out of dungeon parties because they’re considered useless.
Calls community toxic. Yet is toxic themselves. Trying to force others to play your way to suit your own needs.

He did say that people were in chat were saying, “just pay gold noob” so I imagine he does know. But some people would like to earn them by playing the game and not by buying them.
Very much this! I also like the challenge to achieve it myself then buying it with gold. Buying it with gold is the easy way out.
In a game where you can get almost any thing with a swipe of a credit card. That point is moot.
Welcome to Guild Wars 2. You must be new here.
I like skyhammer. It’s very entertaining.
-scorpian wire thief
I don’t mind if they stack might. I’m a thief. I steal things.
A downed necro is my favourite necro.
-Thief
Not only that. It makes EVERY THING go faster. Had 4 seconds of stealth when it went off? You’ll only get 3.
How could you crit when already in stealth without getting revealed? It could proc on C&D itself though.
You answered your own question. Also heart seeker for D/P.

Died 2,168 times on my thief main.
I think it was mostly due to SAB.
The problem with Critical Haste is it can go off at the wrong moments.
Not only that. It makes EVERY THING go faster. Had 4 seconds of stealth when it went off? You’ll only get 3.
I certainly wasn’t handed these traits, I had to earn them and so will new players.
The issue is rerolling. It basically forces you to have a level 80 ranger on hand if you want to experiment with builds.
Do you have to be level 80 to buy them from the vendor?
Guild Wars 2 broke immersion when they added zone load screens and instant travel waypoints.
Meanwhile in other Major MMOs people are visiting community websites everyday to read up on possible information on a patch that will come several months from now.
Guild Wars 2 people are simply spoiled.
Or maybe when other MMOs release some thing. It is actually some thing substantial.
One other suggestion id say is nerf that lemongrass food, its pretty OP, especially for melee classes like warrior who already have 33% reduced condi duration. The fact that people can have upwards of 70-80% condi removal with traits/food/runes is kind of stupid.
This is the wrong way to go considering you already have foods that not only increase damage but increase duration as well.
The two counteract each other as it should be and thus is balanced.
One shouldn’t need food to be viable.
If some one chooses to waste money on food in WvW to give them that little bit of boost; that little bit of edge. That’s fine.
But when you require to spend money on food to do any thing to them. That’s not fine.
Turns into a pay to win scenario.

I usually do hotjoins for my dailies and now for the dungeon reward tracks.
I wouldn’t of stepped into Solo Queue TPVP if it weren’t for the caps.
Glad I did. Won 3 out of 3 games so far.
You don’t need Headshot to interrupt people. A well-timed Basilisk hit or Scorpion Wire will do the trick in a pinch.
Headshot is more preferable though. Basilisk takes some build up and Scorpion Wire is unreliable. Both take up a slot and can be easily wasted.
P/D perplex with the new trickery grandmaster trait is stupidly OP. I tried it out, it’s easy mode game
Sacrificing the 6 part of the rune set while simultaneously sacrificing an instant interrupt only to generate the same amount of confuse stacks is really foolish.
It’s a trade off – With sleight of hand the confusion is not guaranteed but the interrupt to trigger perplexity is easier to pull off
With bewildering ambush the confusion is guaranteed, but triggering perplex is harder to pull off with basilisk or d/p headshotting. I’ve stacked bewildering ambush + throw gunk + perplex (4) and (6) to get 18 stacks of confusion
At that same time, I’m sure all the planets in our solar system would align.
Thief.
Flatten even the tankiest enemies in 3 seconds, and always be able to run away. The ultimate kitten class.
Videos or it didn’t happen.
I guess we’ll just have to settle for an evil set of professions, necros and thieves
Thieves are evil? Kind of saying Robin Hood is evil.
I wonder how many of the people that constantly ask for that, want to get rid of a Charr.
I actually would want to add more Charr as I’ve made too many human characters. Can’t be bothered leveling up a profession twice either.
i said core of THE problem not core problem
and whats wrong asking about a feature officially announced ~3 weeks ago for the feature patch and suddenly there is no sign of it left in the patchnotesNothing is wrong with asking about it. No one chastised you for doing so. If I were you, I’d assume that it was there since it was mentioned on the feature notes. Too bad it will take you longer to get to 10k now that they limited the dailies so much. I hope you get there soon though. I’m tired of hearing about the horrible life of daily achievement point addicts.
I feel like we had this same conversation, many times over the last year. I agree with you though. Hopefully now, the top 1% of people will actually enjoy this game without feeling the need to ‘100%’ it.
Still I love this change.
Hands down the weirdest thing I’ve been seeing in the last few years are players who love and celebrate nerfs. /facepalm
It’s not a nerf. It’s a good change. It’s so you don’t feel pressured to get every single AP from every daily or you’ll fall behind mentality.
Well, technically, if you aren’t doing your dailies every day and getting those rewards, even if the AP was capped, you would be falling behind anyways, and your ‘fall behind mentality’ would just be a lie.
I do my dailies nearly every day. How ever there are those who do EVERY daily to get every single AP, every day. Even after they got their daily reward. Impossible to keep up with those people. They’re also the ones who dictate the reward chests from AP. Making AP less of an achievement; which would only force Anet to inflate the amount needed for the better rewards in future.
Still I love this change.

I heard there are these things called “Runes of the Traveler” in the auction house.
Black Desert has gender locked classes.
