The event happen when I was a Charr. I decided I wanted to buy new armor. So I went to Divinity Reach to buy Cultural Armor, but the vendor didn’t want to sell to me. I think it was because I was a Charr. Glory “I can’t sell to you. Can’t be to careful who you associate with these days.”
I ask you this, Are Charrs and humans not friends? What happen if I wanted to buy the armor for my human friend. I want to just buy it. Also the beanie is to small for my Charr!!!

Bugs like this, where things spawn and do not despawn, can be very dangerous to the game. We’re trying to fix this before it causes more severe issues. It will not be so low impact and delightful when it begins affecting performance and causing very serious lag issues

No, just no, and no. Removing the Upgrade gold sink would have very little effect on the Market as a whole.

The amount of money I get by doing a couple of hours of general WvWing (with no upgrading) is actually rather high. Not as high as dungeons or farming SW, but still high enough to effect the market quite a bit if they remove every single gold-sink in there.
Um, sorry let me clarify some. The real problem i guess lies in Hamster’s Premise. The total amount of gold spent on upgrades is minute. It hasn’t scaled with the economy. It was a decent gold sink early game but now they are minor.
This whole issue would be gone if Anet would let us upgrade with Badges of Honor. I’ve legit got about 15k of them lying around.
And then there would suddenly be loads of gold created in WvW with no sink whatsoever and thus the inflation would totally crash the market.

If stability will only give you a set # of Immunity, then to balance it how about a fix the amount of targets CC can hit. Specifically ground targeted control effects.
They need to close the 5 target Limit loop hole in that is Ground Targeted Area of Effect spells. Ground targeted spells now have infinite amount of targets, while “Some” can only effect 5 targets a pulse/second the total # is not capped. As long as it remains on the ground it can effect new targets not in the original 5. Sure as long as those 5 are in the AoE of the ground target they should be effected but not new ones.
1 CC (ie Spectral Wall, Static Field, Line of Warding) should remove a 1 Stability stack from or effect 5 Total people not 20,30,or even80 potentially.

After dropping this huge bomb on us in the live stream, Threads have popped up in evey forum. Pve players are opposed to it. WvW players despise it, and even PVE players are not happy at all.
Almost no one wants this change. Why make it?

3 years Later we get to Beta a change to stability……
I’m getting kind of fed up joining a WvW or an Edge of the mists and the commander is on the complete other side of the map without any way to get over there. You run halfway there encounter a zerg and die and have to start over. Can we get some better movement abilities?
This has little to no effect on pve side of things, most people have the waypoints near things anyway but those that don’t have no real way to get to things like boss encounters.
So can we get a teleport to commander if on the same map?
Or, or,or just swiftness up and run to the commander, might even find a fight OTW.
i mean really, it takes 5 minutes to run a cross any map, so lazy.
They will actually go up in price i fear. HoT will no doubt release a ton of gold into the game causing inflation. They may drop in price compared to the market, but the market as a whole isn’t going to be slowing down for a long time unless ANET causes some major money sinks that don’t center around trade able materials.
Could something like this ever be added to GW2?
I walk to a crafter i have an agreement with, they click on the forge to bring up crafting window. Select a new option Consignment.
I select them a new option in the drop down is consignment craft. An Altered crafting window appears. I select from his recipes, and choose one.
Next window shows My Mats instead of crafters, at the bottom is a money window.
I choose, Confirm, they Confirm. Craft happens.
I get my THING, Crafter gets the money i put in the window at bottom. Heck maybe even Anet gets their Cut as a “Crafting Guild” tithe.

Yeah i said it. 100% maybe a bit over the top but higher then 50% seems right. The game already has plenty of anti-farm code to prevent bag trading. Is a GW2 where a player Running Dungeons, a player Boss Training, a player Spvping, and a player WvWing all earn approximately the same amount of gold/hr impossible ? I hope not.
If he really was a WvW Forum Specialist, he would have seen this coming a mile off. All the time he had spent in this forum would have prepared him for his introduction better. Other posters would already be used to his name and even view point, because a wvw forum specialist would already have a ton post in this forum.

The point of the change is to make goldfind useless. You’ll be getting the gold event/achievement style as a pop-up.
Where did you read this ? I have never seen A-Net publish anything about getting rid of gold find, only magic find.

Title says it all. Many of us have purchased gilded infusion on our dungeon running characters. Will they effect the new rewards?
Why i didnt make my Alts just for running dungeons i certainly enjoy doing so with them. I enjoy all my alts as well as my main. To me it seems way more repetitive to be rewarded for only 1 character on multiple paths then to repeat the same path on a multiple characters.
If this is Account bound instead of Character then they need to change their patch preview to read… Now you have even more incentive for braving the hazards of the dungeons of Tyria unless you have alts in which case you now have far less!!!!
This is billed as buff not a nerf, if it was going to “CHANGED” to “NOW” be restricted as account bound this is a nerf and needs posted as such.
First off, Never look nor care about the total score, stop playing for PPT and server pride and just play an open world pvp game to have fun. Dolyaks, Camps, Mercs, towers are just there to set up the fight scenario you are about to create. Remeber youa re looking for a fun fight for you and your friends. Score and the winner is decided by off hour coverage, not anything your team does or doesn’t do.
Decide who you want to fight – other 5 mans, ninja trios, 10-20 man blobs, or full on zerg busting. Decide where you want to fight, open field, in camps, inside of walls, in water, above or below your enemy. Build your team to bring the skills you need.
Now just go out and kick kitten .

See like i used to think by this. Until i thought , a skilled player would bring a good build( including gear.) I skilled player would understand condition damage is crap. A skilled player will understand the advantages of the “Corner and Cleave” strategy. A skilled player will always chose melee>ranged.

Still showing bloodlust as better for solo play in this build by roughly 3%.

If you guys truly wish to nerf stealth or nerf how often players can stealth, you’re going to have to be ok with an increase in thieves’ out of stealth damage. Backstab is a huge part of pve and pvp damage for dagger thieves. And then you’re gonna need to give thieves other ways to avoid damage, say, give thieves access to aegis?
how about no? No other class has the damage potential they have even outside stealth in PvP. No, 100b doe not count, this is PvP. Thieves already have plenty of damage to go around.
If you dont believe me try going full zerker on any other class and try killing others while remaining alive with more than 70% hp everytime.
While yes backstab makes for a lot of damage, they are, by no means, balanced. Give them more team utility, there, solved the PvE problem. Give them more team utility, there, solved the “balance” problem. Thing is, they dont have much to offer other than damage, and that would be ok, if that damage was somewhat balanced, but currently only 1% of the entire server can deal with it and thieves dont see much play there anyways. 99% of the other part of the ENTIRE community finds thieves impossible to deal with and makes PvP a very bad time experience.
Other games balance the classes around being able to be counterable for at elast half the server. If you dont believe me when i say that a thief can pull up crazy damage even with less backstabs then try rolling any other melee class and do the same thing they do; BURST, kill, disengage with almost full health.
They dont need any more damage, like I said, limit the stealth access, reveal thieves when you block the backstab, damage have a chance to show the thief (not 1% nor 5%, but something like 10% for conditions and 33% for normal damage. Then to “balance” them out just give them some deserved team utility, thats all. Fixed them for PvE and PvP.
Making up numbers is fun. It works 60% of the time all the time imo.
Stealth is fine this is only a L2P issue not a balance issue.
There’s a reason these aren’t tabbed….: Bank Slots/Bag Slots.
Spend some in-game gold (about roughly 18-20g per bank section) or cough up the $7.50 worth of Gems, which is cheap for long-term account storage.
4 of my 6 toons have extra bag slots, i own 6 bank slots, purchasing an additional character slot as a mule toon or maybe i should just buy a second account? …

The moment he starts using scepter or staff is when you boot or if it’s not your party, you leave. I don’t ever run with trash like that.

Such staff hatred, while its pitiful auto attack makes me wanna stab a kitten, I find the heals on 2 and the end of empowered to be quite useful in full zerker groups. With out them members would spend time below 90% making them do 10% less damage. Its not my main weapon but as a swap/2nd its nice to keep everyone topped off and scholar runes up. GS or s/f for primary but Staff for when (gasp) someone fails a dodge or your war just eats alpha’s circles to finish 100b because he was at 40k already or some kitten reason.

Squads need to be just like parties and show u the location of everyone in your squad not just the commander. Then just give commander the right to kick/block users from squad and you’ve got working system.
I see D/P way more then S/D these days at least in the high end tourney streams ive been watching. S/D is builds are far from op, they are fun to play tho.

My main thing with /inspect was my curiosity. I see a piece of gear on someone i like i want to /inspect. I see someone wtfpwning in WvW i want to see what build/gear they run. Look cool with 2 legendary’s dancing in front of the bank, i want to /inspect. I am just the curious Asura.
Would you all be as opposed to /show build? I’d like an in game way to share builds no more typing 20-i-vii,20-iv-x,0,0,30-iii-iv-xi or w/e your build for that toon is.

Sellable weapons i think would be either to common or so rare its not worth the farm. Account bound allows them to drop more often and still be rare.

So after watching some of the pvp spectating it seems they added a viable inspect window. Why dont we have this in PvE? Seems all the complaints of MF in dungeons, Multiple Condition people, and players not carrying their weight could be helped by this. You could make it group only or add an option to make it public or not. Perhaps even make it a link from the player like a /Show build command instead.
I would suggest a massive dungeon loot overhaul to fix most of what plagues GW2.
1 – Every explorable path is increased to 1-4g in cash drops based on difficulty-length. These drops are now once/day/character. All other money drops will be removed.
2 – Each paths final boss is given 1 New unique skin as extremely rare chest drop.(account bound)
3 – Dr on tokens is removed/lowered.
That’s it really. Make the money side of it 1/day while making skins the main reason to farm. You are throwing the farming his unique reward while not flooding the market with gold. Make opening the box mean something other then 26s(+gold find.) Just my idea, maybe a better one out there i haven’t read but mine would be a huge improvement to what we have now.
Whats next – a thread on how to counter bull rush/hundred blades combo? Good players beat bad ones no matter class. If you somehow have to come to the forums and complain about a class its a L2p issue.

I love GS as my Off set weapon. I start most fights with iZerker-mirrorblade-Dodge-Mind Wrack then weapon swap to S/F for the majority of the fight. If I’m taking to much pressure in melee i will swap to GS then go ranged for 10 seconds while my endurance/distortions recharge. For a couple of the the fractal bosses i will stay in GS for most the fight (grawl dredge.) Nothing against staff I just like GS and Pure melee is kinda crap too. I wish we could get fast swaps like wars get and i think GS could really shine.

Meh, i go back and forth CoF pharming so much. I personally dont do the path 1 spam but i do path 1-2 nightly on 3 different chars. I really wouldn’t want them any harder as they are a nice easy/fast ending for my dungeon group. We do all 3 CoE then the 2 CoF. We finish them in 1 hr or under 2 omnoms then switch chars. Not counting cores/stones we make a little over 5g an hour. The cores and stones push CoE’s farm better then CoF for us. I guess you could have horrible luck but has never happened to me. I think Anet could do some easy dungeon reward balancing by just upping drop rates of cores/stones in other dungeon chest to account for the increased time they take.

Whats wrong with combining them both and bringing back OPEN DUNGEONS! Remember them from other games? Huge subterranean complexes with mobs difficulty jacked up. This games dynamic scaling should mesh well here. Scatter in a dozen Bosses on various re spawn timers/conditions and Bam you gotta a winner.
Veteran spider hatchlings (unlike regular hatchlings) dont even drop loot. WTF Anet! we get to fight 5x harder mobs and now they dont even drop loot. are you kitten kidding me?
I don’t understand what A-Net is even thinking increasing this difficulty. Why do they want Cursed shore even more empty and underused? CoF path 1 is now the only farm in game worth running. CS is now dead and gone.
I can usually understand why developers make changes; this time im at a total loss. Mobs that can 1 shot kill you in dungeons is maybe a bad design if over used; in open world mass mob dynamic events, mobs that can 1 shot you is poorly thought out and not fun at all.
If a dev can please explain intent to me id be happy,
Was CS event farming to easy for the reward?
Was it being over used compared to other level 80 content?
What other alternatives to farming T6 mats would you like the solo player to use?
