Well, there is a bit of possible foreshadowing if you completed personal story and arah story. There's a tengu smith at the Fort Trinity party instance that tells you that the tengu may well become more active in global affairs once he tells his people about the pact's victory.
It’s been almost 2 years now. And not much new stuff besides temporary events has been seen. I’ve been holding off making a theif all this time cos I was hoping to make one as a Tengu, and I’m wondering when/if this will happen. I recall we were told we’d get new races rather than new classes this time to avoid the class balencing issues (Paragon and Dervish) from GW1. Tengu would be ideal, but any new race would really liven things up. New armour, new weapons, a new city and lots of new lore to get your teeth into.
I’m hoping this year’s aniversary event is more fun than the first one’s massive zerg rush for random loots. Sure the loot’s usefull, but it gets really tiring to do this sort of thing all the time for 2 weeks.
A new race appearing would REALLY make the event memorable in my opinion.
All the smoke from the furnaces blocks out a lot of the sunlight. It’s the smog you have to look out for.
yeah, that was the weak part for me in the personal story. having multiple characters I came to realise nothing I did prior to Claw island had any real effect on what happened AFTER claw island :P
Hmm. Reminds me of this fanart I found a while back.

My charr ranger is Ash legion, a Longbow sniper. When he gets asked about an industrialised charr being a ranger his response is “All charr love animals, in fact most of us eat little else!”
If you play the Shaman father option on your character you know the answer is yes. Because you end up helping him to defect.

Could we maybe have a universal (all weights) helmet skin that looks like a upside down steel bucket ontop of the character’s head? I think that’d be a good laugh and I’d certaily consider buying one if it were added. I’m in two minds wether they wear it like a hat, or if it’d cover their whole head.

Honestly, enough, a lot of charr armours are bad, spamming 1800 threads about them isn’t going to make Anet fix them or they’d have done so a year ago. Just look around, preview sets, mix and match. I’ve got 5 different charr characters and I’ve managed to put together different armour for all of them that fits and does not assault their tails. You don’t have to wait for a full set perfectly tailored for charr, just mix and match, be creative and make your own look.

Exactly, in GW1 it said it was inside a single grain of sand. think the Tardis, the illusion was it was bigger inside.
Good ash/fire theme there. you certainly look at home there.
Here’s my Necro, Aabron Dankfur.

Themain thing I see is that trahernes destiny was to clense orr, that’s done, so I was expecting him to befading from center stage, going back to his studies of orr and overseing the cleanup there. Getting him back into things again now seems rather too much like a cameo for me.
It’d be nice to tie up that loose end of what Eir did with the fragments of Magdir after AC story too. That’s never been adressed.
Only poroblem I had was that final personal story mission was about the only time trahearne ever did anything useful :P Most of the rest of the campagn his solution to EVERYTHING is to throw me at the enemy.
I think it’d be good too. Maybe even have Rytlock trying to get the sword back from Rurik’s spirit in the underworld!
I did not have much problem with this, the mender ghosts usually show up when the statue is invulnerable and you have to kill the adds to charge up Rytlock’s sword anyway, so I just park myself by the door to intercept them, then go back to statue when Rytlock gets his blade charged up to take the shield down again. My warrior managed this without dying once, thugh I must say doing this without getting hit by aoe for the achivement is hard if you are melee build :P

The Durmand Priory light armour has a hood that works on charr, mostly because it only covers their neck.
Remember Glint’s lair in GW1 was inside a single grain of sand in the crystal desert. If the offspring of Glint also has her powers then it’s size is irrelivant. It could fit anywhere.
List of possible weapons used include (in order of palusability). Sabotage device hidden in cargo, Aetherblad attack, long rage Elementalist magic attack, proximity fused incendiary flack cannon shells, giant magnifying lense, Megalaser, searing crystal projector, angry firefly swarm, risen chickens tied to gas balloons, invisible stealth dragons, lightning strike, Congreve rockets, wallnuts and spontaneous combustion.

“Holy dragon” would be Kunnavang would it not? Well it’s Celestial, but that’s close enough.
(edited cos forum censor bot does not like the world Wouldn’t followed by it! :P )

The flame and frost dungeon. Very nice piece of content for me, with an interesting boss fight at the end of it.
Very little else in season 1 was either memerable, or good quality.
1)A new story progressing the personal story, Idon’t mind the odd side-event but it’s been over a year since the pact did anything about moving onto combat the next dragon on the list (whichever one it may be)
2) New race, First choice Tengu, with a home city.
3)Cantha
4) open the runis of Deldrimor it’d make an epic location for a dungeon I think.
5)2-handed Axe weapon.
6)Crossbows
7)Guild halls
8)More customisation options for home instance, besides resource nodes, what happened to them being personalisedlike was mentioned back before launch?
9) less cut and paste event quests (zerg farming, scavenger hunt etc).
10)Some medium armour that is not a variation on trench coats.
The adamant guard of the black Citadel are Iron legion aren’t they?
If you’ve ever read anything by Lary Niven there’s one species that springs instantly to mind. The Kzin!
Oh and I have good and bad with my charr too btw.
Now my ranger, he’s nice!
My necro on the other paw… not so much.

Which boots are those your warrior has?
I really enjoy hanging around in there too, I just wish there was a bit more new stuff to do there. But if I’m honest, the main reason I like it is it reminds me of Cantha. I really want to go back to Cantha in GW2 some day.
GW2’s “Mystery men” lol
You can do a good looking Charr engineer, I have not one but two outfits for mine to wear.
First one’s the more eccentric, I use it with a flame thrower a lot. the second’s more traditional.

Arah medium armour looks great on Charr, apart from the mask, use something else in the helm slot and you’re ready to go. The Arah armour not only respects the tail, it actually puts armour on it.
My engineer has the Arah coat, an armour plated tail looks great. I just wish there was a heavy armour that did something like it.
Come on, Arah medium armour looks EPIC on charr, as long as you use something else for the head. as the mask lets it down.
1) Physics are for Asura! Don’t bother me about it when I am sleeping!
2) Even npc charr don’t care!

The mask of the wanderer skin looks good on charr. I use it on my Necro, since most normal light helms look awful on charr
I think what we had with Scarlet’s last attack was a perfect example of a Xanatos Gambit.
another odd thing is how come they designed all these Lionguard ships with a clearly visible waterline in the texture map, but NOT ONE OF THEM has ever sat at that level in the water! Most of them are deeper, like that one, the one that used to live at the LA docks was so far out of the water almost nothing but the keel was underwater and looked like it should capsize at any time.
I think Rox has PTSD, that’s why she’s so obsessed with good luck charms, and overly protective of Braham. After loosing her entire first warband in a mine collapse she’s affraid anyone she cares about is going to die.
I’ve managed a good light armour for my Charr Necro. Most of the sets have at least one part that doesn’t work so the trick seems to bo mixing and matching around the duff parts.
I remember in that quest where they blow it up with a mine, and I was really disspointed no one said “You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!”
This event is pointless. the rewards for the pavillion are garbage, and the only way to get the skins is with festival tokens which so far I’ve only been able to reliably find by playing the TWO events in Labyrinthine cliffs over and over and OVER all day!
Over all, this must rank as one of the worst living world entries so far. there’s about 30 minutes content, none of which has ANY replay value. Most of it is recycled and what little is new is a change for the worse from the original events the content is coppied from.
The cobbled together feel of Lion’s arch was good. I’d like to see it again. but different. Last time it was made of ships wrecked y the flood caused by the raising of Orr.
This time it should be built using different materials, cos there’s no mass of wrecked ships to use this time. I think it’d be nice to have pact forces moving in. LA is clearly on the map for dragon attacks now so it’d make sense.
My theory as to why we don’t see the body of Zhaitan after the Story mission is they chopped it up into little bits to use as Arah dungeon tokens! Not taking chances, it can’t resurect if we scatter all the bits of it accross the entire continent in adventurer’s pockets!
My Charr mesmer’s warband name is “Tailtwister”
Given the number of theivs throwing Caltrops around,my charr are mostly glad to have some kindof protection on their feet!
Obviously would liketo go to Cantha again. But failing that
GW2 : Dragons of the Crystal sands.
Open up The ruins of Deldrimore city under threat from minions of Kralkatoric.
Add new storyline starting in Deldrimore and moving soth into the crystal desert.
new dungeons, Deldrimore catacoumbs (dwarf ghosts+ looters)
Glint’s lair (branded minions)
Dwarven weapons/armour skins.
Glint’s Crystaline weapons/armour.
Playable Tengu, Dominion of winds as a new player city.
New desert wildlife, new ranger pets (desert lizard, camel spider, sand drake, desert falcon, Elonian hound, Ibex)
Elonan refugees fleeing Palawa Joko’s return.
Possible appearance from one or more of Glint’s children, questionable motives, they want to stop Kralkatoric, but can the pact trust any dragon?
