What exactly does “crashing” mean ? If the computer restarts its either a blue-screen

At least I have more customization options for my character in Black Desert.
Perfect World, AION and Archeage also have more options .. i even installed AA
just to take a look at the character editor, but never set a step into the game,
since i will never ever play again an open PvP game after AION.
And i also really whished we had a better character editor here.

Black Desert of course .. finally again a real “grinder” where quests give no exp and
of course with open PvP, that always works so well in the west.
And then EQNext .. the only game i have some decent interest in .. but i think there is
also so much experimenting in it that nobody can really say how that will work out
when it is opened to the masses.

LA being repaired is going to be a big event, rather than something Anet just lets happen on the side. My current guess is that it’ll happen in some sort of festival event between now and when HoT comes out. Perhaps the return of Dragon Bash.
Thats also something i hope to happen for the time between now an HoT ^^
Would be nice before hot comes out. I miss the city looking nice and clean
Hoelbrak was already my home long before LA was destroyed … but i think that
would be something nice to have in the time between since since there will surely
be no new LS .. and nothing at all until maybe september would really be a very
long boring time.

The other question is .. do the masterys make you really better against all content,
or are they really only needed at the new content.
If its the first i see already the crys that all other content is too easy and must made
harder .. and since ANet seems to listen to those it seems, we will maybe end at
where the old zones can’t be played anymore without those skills.
I just shudder if all starter zones are suddenly infected with something like those
toxic events.

- Having 20 pretty dress-up alts instead of 10 is a good long-term goal for me.
All/most of this stuff doesn’t affect how and which content I play. On the other hand:
- Luminescent is borderline since the specific content grind, both LS and SW, is over the top for me.
- All traits for all alts are an awful goal for me.
- Grinding all WvW skills is a bad goal for me – luckily, I do not like WvW.
Once you say that your game is casual and make skins the endgame and attract people that enjoy it that way, switching to gating content behind grind is a bad idea.
God thanks i don’t really like the Luminescent armor, since i really hate all those
instanced stuff, and i can’t bring myself to play through it more than once, so
i will maybe never get any of those needed achievements.
Having something like that as skill-grind is my greatest fear since i prefer simply
open world .. and play also a lot solo and only now and then in big zergs.

Anyway, prices will likely fall when HoT comes out as everyone throws themselves at the new legendaries.
Or prices will rise because there is less supply .. and also prices of T6 mats may rise
if more people create Legendarys because of the new precursors .. or whatever.
Its mostly not so easy to forsee what impact that will have on the market, especially
since we don’t really know how grindy the precursor hunt will be and what mats
the new legendarys need and how they look, and if they are only for new weapon
types or also for actual weapons.

Now to see how long it takes for me to obtain it. =P
You get one Carapace chest directly for achievement when you kill Vinewrath
the first time .. so if you want the medium chest take that one. More chest pieces
are bound to RNG then.
The leggings are from the gem-store .. so it just that you need 800 gems.

Is there some reason we cannot get heavy leggings like on the Lionguard NPC below?
That entire set can be made using Karma vendor gear
So that is one, any other options besides that one? something for low and mid levels characters?
Aetherblade armor from the gem-store is what i mostly use.
That armor makes my female Norn warrior’s hips look big.
She’s just fat.
Not fat!
More to love.
Edit: I previewed the Zodiac armor on her. Now that made her look obese.
I really like the zodiac from the front .. but since you mostly see you back when playing … nah .. don’t want to see Big Mama all the time

That got added much like the nice “this email is not from ArenaNet staff” text in the mail system now, because people were falling for scams often enough to impact support.

Correct .. nearly every MMO i started to play alone mostly was already boring to me

gets boring so much faster.

They don’t like pants in general.
Medium armor has masses of pants .. however there you have all those trenchcoats
that belong to the chest.
And heavy and light the chest pieces are mostly ok .. but you have those skirts
attached to the legs.
If they just never gave the different armor weights a different position where chest
and legs are seperatetd .. and then we could mix between them .. -sigh-

Endgame is to constantly getting better without ever getting better, and without even
really want to get better, because if you would really get better, you constantly start to
cry that everything is too easy and there is no challenge.
Its really funny how people have been trained to do and endless Sysyphos job and think
thats the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I still blame WoW on that, since i never heared people talk about “endgame” in Lineage
or EQ2 that was released before WoW.

There is a problem with people dueling and getting wrapped up in their capes, causing them to lose the fight.
Thats why we first need horses that can wear those capes and duel each other in the open world. Horses have much longer legs, and so they don’t stumble over those capes all
the time ^^They tried that. There was however an unfortunate incident involving a horse wearing a cape and the Charr cattlepult that resulted in several fatalities. Lawsuits followed and this feature was removed.
I think by now, all horses have been beaten to death anyways.
Giraffes as mounts then .. even longer legs .. even less chance to stumble over their capes ^^

There is no endgame .. or the whole game is endgame. The endgame is that you can
do whatever you want to do.
You are NOT forced to do dungeons and raids again and again here to get your BIS
items.
What is so good in having a big open world and then try to force the player to totally
forget it at max level and only let them creep through dark brown holes now ?
Has the word “endgame” even existed before WoW ? Does anybody remember the
times when it was : The journey is the reward ?

I am noticing a growing trend with LFG being used in this way. Personally I think it’s a bit risky. But some of the prices are much cheaper than on TP, and you have the ability to bargain, if only a little.
If a price looks too good .. it mostly is.
And ANet has said it often enough that you will NOT get your stuff back if you get
scammed.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Following a previous topic, of scamming, WoW has had C.O.D trading by mail since forever and LineageII has had personal trade or swapping where both parties could see the correct trade items were in place and accept and if you took out your part trying to scam it stopped the trade, that has been done for over 10 years. Personal trading is quite easy but I would say Anet does not want to implement it. I do not agree with them on it but for those who say or think it cannot be done….. think again. Safe personal trading has been around for years in other mmorg’s. What ever your response do not make it a rant if you do not want the topic shut down. It should be discussed with a view to asking Anet to make it happen here too. Lord knows it is tough enough to get ahead in the game financially as it is.
You know that Lineage 2 was a scammers paradiese ?

However .. no thanks. If you think its fun to wast more time with traveling than
with playing .. try Lotro .. and tell me how long it takes to bore you to death when
you sit the next time 15 minutes on a horse to travel from one town to another.
And for “authenticity” .. why don’t you ask that your character have to sleep
every now and then and you can watch them for 6-8 hours sleeping ?

I am more confused by the Masteries. It totally looks like instead of gear grind, we will get skill grind. But on paper? Yes, “no gear treadmill”.
So i’m not the only one who had that thought o.O
There’s always been skill grind in Guild Wars, starting with Factions at any rate. We had to level up our Kurzick and Luxon skills. Later our Sunspear and Lightbringer Skills. After that it was our norn, deldrimor, ebon vangard and asura skills.
But it’s still completely different from gear grind, not because it’s not grinding or it is grinding. It’s because you don’t end up with stat creep.
It still sounds like gear-progression in other MMOs. They said that is now needed
to have these skills, else you can’t beat the content. Thats much the same like in
other games where you need t5 gear to beat t6 and so on.
At least these are gating mechanics that didn’t exist till now in GW2, besides fractals.
The question is in the end how “grindy” it is to get those skills.
[edit]
Ok .. of course we have a gating mechanism actually .. that is the character level .. but thats it.

Sure you don’t confuse GW2 with WoW here ?
yes, I’m sure. You know how you have to have a character selected to do such damage as majority of signets, a lot of the 1 skills on weapons, etc? That’s tab targetting. And even worse even when the enemy health bar goes away, they’re not deselected, that’s why when you use movement skills you sometimes move backwards towards the last enemy you had selected. happens even after dying and respawning in Spvp. Which annoys me to no end. Because in open world PVE to avoid that I target random critters and use my abilities when I got to go fast. I can’t do that in Spvp.
So yes, it still has tab targetting. Unlike Wildstar and Tera in which you don’t need to see the enemies healthbar at the top to inflict damage as all the skills simply execute in front of you (except for targetted aoes) and anyone in it gets hurt. The only things that work that way in GW2 ARE the aoes.
I didn’t meant the tab targetting .. but more that you do damage to a target while
you are miles away.
That is something that seems to work in WoW if you look the video, but not in GW2.
The only thing is that attacks normally hit a bit wider than what the button indicates,
especially ranged attacks. Can remember when we killed Jormags Claw from
underneath when the zone was bugged and no golems were spawning.
Autoattack didn’t work .. but with constantly mashing the buttons you did still damage.
And personally i also still like tab targetting much more than attacks that just
force me to run 10 meters in a straight line to wherever i look.
That the targetting in GW2 is one of the worst i ever saw in an MMO is however
a total different story :p
and that’s why I said GW2 feels like action combat had a baby with tab targetting. It’s not full on action combat. It’s still better than full on tab targetting. I really don’t mind it. I’m just stating that it isn’t full on action combat.
And thats exactly what i like .. Champions Online was already also a lot in that style
an i never understood that they didn’t used that system in Neverwinter, that in the
end used the same engine.

GW2 has 1. Tab targetting 2. No real dodging (only evading) 3. Is build ON the old GW1 engine, meaning that for example if a warrior is executing spinning blades and you think that you’re just out of the way, your hit box might not be and you will still sit down after he executes his attack and he’s miles away from you.
Sure you don’t confuse GW2 with WoW here ?

can we get action base combat like tera the game would be 10 times better if there was action combat, it would be really cool if in heart of thorns if you gave us the option to use action cambat mode i feel like more people would buy the game.
No thanks .. please not .. i really really hate this combat systems where you can’t use
your mouse to click skills, have forced mouselook and skills that pull you foward on
every swing you do ..
It was my greatest fear that GW2 would be like that .. because i deinstalled all those
games (Vindictus, DCUO, Tera, Neverwinter) mostly after 20-30 minutes.

You cannot salvage the following items (for the most part):
- Items you obtain from an NPC for any currency other than gold (to prevent easy conversion of other currencies to gold).
- Starter items and some story mission reward items.
Also the new level-up rewards are neither salvageable nor can they be sold at NPCs.
Especially those exotic items are so frustrating, since the have simply crappy stats
and all you can do is destroy them

Beldin , You are making fun of yourself with those replys .
You’ve missed the point, GW2 economy is dying day after day , everything is old & outdated , It needs a push up , it’s the right time to do so.
What’s wrong with you people ? stop trolling the forums , At least write something useful not your nonsense worthless words .
some people will disagree with OP no matter what he writes , Will also put a lot of time to prove him wrong , Does it really feel good ?
I’m trying to get the developers attention towards the trade post , prices are getting down every day , no activity no one buys , everyone bought what he wants long time ago , It’s in bad shape and soon without a solution , the economy will be dead .
Its not dying .. a lot of prices are more or less stable since when we got the champion bags and ascended weapons. That was the point where a lot prices changes because
suddenly i could earn 8-12g per hour instead of 2g.
After that some priced go up, some down .. mostly related to new content where
people were farming more or less of specific stuff.
If you look at ectos .. they have the same price that they had 2 years ago actually.
I remember that when i farmed for my Vision of the Mysts at that time ectos were
around 37s.
In the end the maeket here is much more stable than in any other MMO where
expansion give a new level cap and new phat loot.
