They work on anything that gives experience and nothing that does not give experience on kill. LS is not the problem here.
LS is however where it has the most impact. If you don’t get stacks at Claw of Jormag
its not that important .. if you play personal story you often don’t even have those
sigills and traits .. LS2 however is level 80 so you mostly are full equipped and traited
and have to fight against hordes of mobs .. and no stacks at all.
I’ve already changed all my stacking sigills against 7% crit-chance and 5% damage or so ..
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
So let’s say an expansion comes out. The version I want. 1 or 2 new races a new heavy armor class, level cap increased to 100 with new armors. New weapons. Options for more then the same 5 skills, a huge new map size of gw2 at release with a great story again.
Raising level cap is pointless in GW2, even if you’re going to “grind” those levels it’ll only take you a week at max.
Yeah, increasing the level cap doesn’t make any sense in this game. The only thing it will do it invalidate Ascended gear and make us grind all over again, which again, doesn’t make sense to me.
In the end that is the only reason in other games also for a level increase. They could
also delete all your items with the patch and give you just generic new white gear
instead of that .. however then maybe every player suddenly would reocognize
what they do.

One thing we players have that most NPCs don’t have is condition removal. So even if NPC confusion (especially those pesky drakes!) is increased, we still have the upper hand against the heathens of Tyria!
Problem is that most mobs, especially if you have to deal with a horde of mobs,
apply new conditons much faster than most characters can remove them.
Just try to do one of those toxic events in the low level zones alone .. and have fun.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
wildstar didnt fail because of its hardcore endgame content.
the problems are:
- you cant really do anything outside of raids.
- DS 40 roster boss is too strong.
- DS had/has alot of buggy fights and guilds need to re-progress nearly every week.
Beside the bugs in 3. that all sound to me exactly what is called hard endgame content.
Especially 2. is what people here always shout for .. hard .. harder .. unbeatable.
In EQ2 it was “normal” that mostly just one guild per server beat the hardest raid before the next level cap.
1. Raiders so often have postet that they are not even interestet in other content than raids and thats why they need raid equip and other people not. Of course its not the
fact that they only want that to farm easier content so much faster than others .. no .. never ..
3. reprogress every week .. also hardcore players are always unhappy when there is
no progress .. so sound great for me ..

I wonder how many of the people that complain here, are the same persons that
always complain that everything is too easy and that they want harder content
and moar challenge. All this does is make things more tedious. Not challenging.
Mostly “moar challenge” turns out te be simply more annyoing in MMOs, since
people have no plan what they really want, or just want better exclusive reward
and in the end we get mobs with more HPs, that do more damage and have
more CCs .. and maybe some gimmicks .. however the result is mainly that it
takes looooooonger to kill a mob.
At that moment suddenly people may say the truth, that they didn’t wanted to need
loooonger to kill a mob .. that they in reality just wanted a faster way to get more
loot … and especially a way to get stuff that others can’t get.

I’d love to have some choices legendaries that look like actual functional weapons rather than door swords and party favors. I know, I’m crazy that way.
Hell, I’m struggling to find a regular longbow skin that isn’t as plain as the starter ones but still looks like it could fufill its function. A bit elegant, you know?
My favorite longbow skins is the Zodiac longbow. If you haven’t seen it already you might check that one out.
Was my favourite long time .. until i got Kudzu ^^

Does Nerfing Might make “content more difficult”
The damage must be even lower .. if we believe all those people that constantly post
how easy this game is. To make them happy they should maybe remove might at all
or at least that stacking might works on other players.
And maybe reduce all damage generally by 50% …
But even then people would still cry thats all too easy .. so maybe they should remove
leveling up .. so you are level 1 forever .. and already have challenges in the starterzones
and only the best players ever would make it out of the starterzones.
And who is talking about fun here ? MMOs are “hard work” .. there is no room for fun.

Does it mean that the incoming damage from confusion in PvE will increase as well … ?
Mostly it will be a buff for mobs i think, since in PvE mobs that deal conditions are mostly
much more a problem than direct damage .. while conditions against mobs are not
really that great.

The bug is much older .. they already never worked for examples on all the mobs
at Claw of Jormag event that gives no exp.
But implementing that “feature” first in LS2 and then also into the personal story
made it of course even worse.

As a result a lot of time and effort spend developing content that only pleases a very small portion of the player base, while it frustrates or otherwise does nothing for the majority of the players. That’s pretty inefficient.
To hell with all those casuals .. nobody needs them .. just look at the success from
Wildstar .. and how bad GW2 does ^^
The problem is that the hardcores need casuals .. just to show how much better
they are. If everybody in the game is hardcore and has the same stuff, then there
is again nothing you can show off … and you can only cry for even harder content
and hope even the other hardcores give up at some point when its too annyoing.

The mithril nodes in Silverwastes limit how many you can mine within a certain period. A standard rich node would give 4 hits for 10 ores.
It is new for mithril but not new as far as nodes are concerned. Passifloras in Southsun have also been like this since their introduction.
Its not new .. i had that the first time at the end of 2012 already in Frostgorge, that
suddenly mithril wasn’t respawning after an hour. Thought it was a bug at the time.
But in the last year that happened to me often when i was farming herbs around
Fort Trinity that for those characters that also harvested the mithril there, after 3-4
hours mithril wasn’t spawning any more.

I don’t understand the need or role of the different armor types in a game that says the trinity is gone.
Its just the typical RPG flavour. The same like classes, races and different weapon types.
And different armor classes even exist in solo games where you also don’t have
a trinity. And Gandalf can fight a Balrog alone just wearing light armor.
I call hacks.
Ok .. i don’t really get the meaning of that sentence .. is it just a joke about Gandalf is cheating .. or something else ?
If i try to translate it and then translate it back it could mean for example:
“I cry old weak horse”

Are we getting weapon skins in the gem store ever again? Personally, I’m interested in Belinda’s GS and Marjory’s daggers. They have never repeated, have they?
Belindas GS has not till now, but its fairly new and all the others have been on sale again now and them. So i think Belindas will also return at some point.

I want that dyes on armor not change so extremly depending on the zone you are
while haircolors for example don’t change. That’s a bug, actually. Lighting affects your equipment, but not your character.
The effects from lighting are however too strong. Go out in the winter when there
is snow with a white jacket or pullover .. and you will see it still looks white, and
not blue or grey.
Or your gold .. it will also not suddenly look grey.

I think the problem with difficult content is that difficulty is subjective.
What even is difficult?
Something that takes a long time to complete?
Something that takes “skill”? Then again what is considered “skill”?
Something that takes teamwork?
Something that makes use of unusual tactics? Then what are those supposed to be?The thing is, there is no one that can give an answer that will please EVERYONE.
Thats the problem .. and in the end the answer in MMOs is mostly something that
only makes the game more annoying.
- more hitpoints
- more damage
- more one-hit kills
- more CC
With all the RNG at some point we could also make an instance that you have to
enter an leave 50 times with a 20% to die when you enter, and if you have entered
50 times without one death than you have won against a “real hard challenge”.

Does this elude to the fact that the game is making way for the leaked expansion (unconfirmed?) and that this indicates a possible faction system (ala WoW or…well…most other MMOs)?
Only if ANet really wants to get rid off most of their players.
Heck i would even prefer something like Lineage 2 over the mindless ganking that
all these factions systems are.

Shatterer and Claw were also created before mega-server and it was possible to do them

will be maybe as impossible as teq was before megaserver on most of the servers.

Mounts with capes duelling each other in the open world.
Also we get horses as backpacks, so mounts can ride US. Of course carrying a horse

a mount at least

Great episode and really cool cinematics, all 3 of them, counting the one before last boss fight.

The Moar-Harder crowd is very tiny and making content for them is not a sound investment when one has to try to entertain a far larger audience that is far more typically populated by players that cannot complete AC storymode reliably than by people that can solo Arah P.3.
I go so often to the triple wurm event. I love that event. I love how when it goes right, its such a beautiful exercise in coordinating multiple teams.
But it rather infrequently goes right. Rarely do enough people show up for it except once or maybe twice a day (at best), and even if many do, too many don’t even seem to have map chat on to be aware that anyone’s trying to organize tactics, if anyone’s even trying to at all.
I see Teq succeed rather more often because its essentially a very simple hokey-pokey dance that merely require a lot of people doing something useful to get it done decently. Even still, its not unusual to see a turret or two go down, or for there to be more than enough people to git’r’done and the event fails anyway because too many were hanging around being dead rather than respawning and zooming back, etcetera, so forth.
People routinely fail what is, in actuality, content that is only difficult because of the coordination it attempts to require. Compared to MY idea of difficult, neither triple wurm nor teq are hard – getting enough people that know where buttons other than 1 are to do the right things at the right time is.
Coordination, in other words.
God help us all if they make truly elaborate requirements for coordination further than they already have.
i hear this often but i feel it isnt true. i mean we don’t have statistics for it so i can’t say how big the crowd is that wants harder content. there was a massive poll done on the gw2 reddit a while ago with some several thousand participants, maybe that says something. but from my experience, i feel that the vast majority of people i meet in game do enjoy working for events like teq and the wurm, and would enjoy harder content in game.
I can give you at least what our german CM postet a while ago :
only 7% of the players read the forums and only 1% post in the forums.
Then we know from Lotro for example that there only around 5% were raiding and
that those people were very overrepresented in the forums so that maybe 50% of
the forum posters were also raiders.
In Everquest2 on our server there was also mostly only 1 guild with maybe 30 members
that was able to beat the hardest content before a new expansion was released.
And finally .. just look at the awsome “success” of Wildstar that tried to cater just to
the “gimme harder content” crowd.
Answer : Because difficult doesn’t equal fun. And usually, difficult equals cheap gimmicks that just annoy/frustrate players.
Yeah .. mostly its : more hps and more damage of the mobs .. maybe even more oneshot-kills .. and not to forget more CCs .. where you just stand around and can’t do anything than waiting.
Oh .. wait .. exactly what we have now in the battle with the new boss.

Best rewards ever. If you think you have too many, then use them for skill points.
Because I always need skillpoints?
Free skillpoints. If you see that as a bad thing then I don’t know what to tell you…
I have 350 on my ele alone, why do I want more of them.
Do you complain about the free items in the gemstore? I am curious. Also, skill points have multiple uses and if you feel like you really have no use for them then delete them. It still does not make sense that you see it as a bad thing.
I just do not do the things that require skillpoints. So for me they are not usefull , I believe that was the OP’s question.

Today’s Daily Krytan Forager was super easy even without a home instance herb node. Love that Beetletun lettuce field! Just WP to Beetletun and run out the main gate, there’s a corral ahead of you with more than enough lettuce plants to let you harvest four.
That WP is also good for Vista in Kryta
Actually, I prefer the Racial cities (when possible) for the vista viewer, as you can go there without any waypoint costs + using a waypoint once inside is free aswell
But in the time you waste for 2 loadscreens you can easily earn the money by maybe
harvesting the next tree or ore node
