Krytan armor skin is nice in my opinion if you ever want to play a female human or
norn with medium armor and don’t really like trenchcoats that much.

The skinset alone costs 500 gems, and if you want it that alone makes it worth to buy
Deluxe version

I think karma vendor items should stay soulbound on acquire because they are supposed to be a reward, if your character helps that merchant and fulfills that heart quest.

IF your alt hasnt helped that karma vendor, he shouldnt expect to get gear from him.

There are no hearts in Orr ^^

In his second post, the op included heart vendor items in the list of items to be changed to ab on acquire.

In the end it doesn’t really matter anymore since we have accountbound karma.
In 2012 it made some sense when the characters also had to earn their own karma
but now ..

And in the end Orr is the main problem since it now is only “confusing” when
a part of the items are accountbound and another are not because they were
added at different states of the game.

This is precisely why i never use full zerker. You will often benefit more from the damage reduction from the toughness stat mixed in than doing 14% more damage when you are already doing high damage.

Its not like doing 14% more damage than a hybrid means you will be able to two-shot everything and everyone so sacrificing survivability for that small increase is really pointless.

A hybrid that only does 14% less damage than a zerker is barely a hybrid…

Its not so easy to just look at a single stat. Zerker is about power, precision, ferocity, sigils, runes, skill and traits. Compared to your average hybrid, a zerker maybe only have 20% more crit damage, true… but he will also have 20% higher base damage, traited to do 20% more damage, choose weapons that do 20% more base dps and have 20% more crit chance to use that ferocity. etc and so on. It adds up to alot more damage.

Wearing knights or soldiers armor and zerker jewlery and weapons for me is a hybrid.
And 12-14% is the total difference in damage after calculating critchance and
crit-damage on the numbers that gw2skills.net calculated for that build.

23-27% is the total difference if you only have a zerker weapon.

And since everything here works multiplicative the difference will also not change
with might stacks and other buffs or debuffs.

You are forgetting banners, might stack(this is not multiplicative, might adds a fixed amount of power and not a damage modifier), fury and possibly spotter.

I didn’t forgot it. Precision and critical works multiplicative, so in the end the difference will be the same in percentage. The total numbers differ, but the
percentage is the same.

It doesn’t matter if you compare
100 * 100 against 100 * 75 or 1000 * 100 against 1000 * 75 .. the difference is 25%

So I got the amulet and ring from the Grenth karma vendor at first, found I could put them in my bank and transfer to my other character, so went back and bought light armor from the same karma vendor, completely missed the small wording change between the amulet/ring and the armor pieces.

Sucks because my ranger uses medium armor, so I can’t even use it. Why allow something to be bought, knowing it’s locked to that character and it’s an armor class that that character can’t use?

I tried clicking the forum mentioned above, but it goes to a forum index page, they make mention of a forum reorganisation, anyone have the info that was mentioned in that post? What ticket do we submit to get it refunded?

In the beginning they only had armor at the temples, and also characters had to
earn their own karma. Seems like the soulbound armor in the end is still a relic
from those days.

Karma became accountwide later, and then they put in jewlery and backpieces
at the vendors that were accountbound, but armor still is characterbound.

For the ticket, click on “support” on the top of the page and simply write what
happended and why you made that mistake and ask politely if they can help you.

Coming from WoW there are a few things you should know.

1. Never use the mystic forge, it’s a trap. Farm gold not materials as some accounts like mine have been hexed since launch. Go and farm events not materials. Gold can buy anything you need on the trading post.

2. Never sell materials. You’ll need them later.

3. You can buy anything in the game with gold so buy low sell high in the trading post and spend your time in level 80 maps doing events and running dungeons.

Anet wants players kept poor so they’ll buy gems and convert to gold so amass a fortune and ruin their plans.

Never sell materials ? Thats why many people think they are so poor. Selling materials
is the main source of income in this game .. at least if your not a speedrunner.

Or did you just meant never sell them to an NPC ? That would be correct, since you
should sell them at the TP to make money.

I make most of my money in level 40-60 areas btw. (iron, platinum, hard wood)

This phrase has always bothered me. It wouldn’t surprise me if some fellow in zerk gear/setup does more damage then the Nomad Staff Guardian over the course of the whole battle even if he ends up dying halfway through. Especially with the sort of DPS your average pug kicks out, I don’t think that dying halfway through a fight prevents you from outDPSing other people in the party.

A player that uses knights armor and jewlery still does 77,6% of the damage
somebody in full zerker does.
With celestial its 73,5% and with soldiers its 72,9

So its not that zerker do 300% more damage like some people always want to
make us believe .. its more just around 25% … and if you just use defensive armor
and zerker jewlery its only 12-14% less.

I don’t see what all the fuss is about. They already abandoned the idea of large, short-term changes to an existing area with LS1. The strategy for open-world content in LS2 has been all about adding new things, not making changes to old ones. I think the only changes to existing maps in LS2 have been: a tiny area and a couple of events added to Brisban Wildlands, and 3 or 4 events added to Iron Marches. Everything else has been in Dry Top and Silverwastes.

There are also still some changes in Timberline Falls .. but thats it.

LS1 for me was really “living” world .. LS2 is just another personal story .. it doesn’t
feel at all like a living world but just like some instanced stuff that plays in an
alternate universe.

But hey .. it seems i am very alone here with preferring LS1 over LS2.

Dungeons is major part of the game knowledge.

Open World is the major part .. after that WvW.

Dungeons are the part that was nearly never spoken about before release .. it was more

Ever had the idea that it is a problem with the design of the whole encounter ?
Especially the debuff that you can’t go to the second boss after you killed the
first one, and then all you could do is fight against bags of HPs in the lanes that
don’t even give any loot .. and then you get a : sorry but you can’t go in here,
just fire for 10 minutes more onto that Husk champ with 20 gazillion hps.

This is one of the reasons i’m mostly against people that cry for “harder” content,
since this is exactly where it leads to .. it destroys a friendly community if people
always search reasons to blame others for fails.
That was never a problem at all the old world events, especially not before we got
the timers (of course also because it was to easy)
Anybody ever did Claw of Jormag with 6 people before that ?

Whats next .. should there be a gearcheck for SW, and people who enter SW and not

Apart from the fact that a new usage can magically appear into the game that requires vast quantities of it? See Silk before Ascended crafting was introduced for a precedent.

When you earn soooo much of them, like some people here say, then there is no

It’s been discussed a few times. I have played 3,154 hrs over 894 days, I have yet to complete the last part of my personal story because of this solo your story but in the last instance find group BS. IMHO—-anet screwed this up, the last last instance should be able to be completed solo.

Played for 6000 hours, 17 lvl 80 chars, and never finished my “personal” story.

I would much rather they stop generating things at rates people can’t use and then have to try to invent new sinks for them like silk and probably leather eventually. Maybe Nopale too, these seem to be well on their way to suffering the same fate as leather.

Yeah .. of course its better to nerf droprates so that a lot of people have to grind more
stuff that they don’t really want to grind, instead of that some hoarders just use the
simply and easy destroy function.

I was already kittened of when they nerfed the bloodstone drop from champ bags
just because some people were to lazy to destroy, and i had to farm the champtrain
for more hours to get the bloodstone i needed at that time.

Since we have no server downtimes here, i don’t really see the problem as a german player.

I had 7000 gems .. so no problem for me. Just bought the viper set some days ago
and instantly bought 800 back since the exchange was fair that day

Ye, the difference is that before the wardrobe we had to pay to get the new armour sets, whereas now we get them for free.

Oh yeah .. we got Carapace instead for the whole last year .. and instead earning

Imo, the absolute most critical chance you want to hit is 80%. Any good party will give 100% fury uptime, making the last 20% critical chance worth of precision wasted stats.

I’m not a “hater” but a “disappointer” .. because since we got the wardrobe we didn’t
got any single armor-set in the shop that we can mix and match .. not one .. only
outfits .. and that when the wardrobe is built specially to mix and match armor.

Its the same ironic stuff then what we got with the traits .. we can now change them
whenever we want .. however most new characters don’t have much more traits
then they need for one build to experiment with them-

Also .. i don’t have anything against outfits .. if we get both outfits and sets it would
be perfectly fine .. the problem is like i said : no sets at all anymore since 1 year.

And who is arguing that the game is too hard? We all know that the game is too easy and we all want harder content.

Then don’t argue about build variety, since the hard the content gets the less builds
will be viable. In the end it will even lead to the point where not only builds but
also classes are set in stone .. like for example EQ2 raids where you have no chance
to succeed without a brigand.

The more you want to min-max stuff, the less options are left.

Why would he not be? He’s absolutely correct. Ferocity is one of the reasons that Zerker builds are the meta. And healing power is currently pure garbage.

Without ferocity knight would be the next meta .. and then we need to remove

Can’t see anything about that in your posts, so for me it looks that you indeed
ignore all the tips here.

For crashing problems on “ultra” we need a 64-bit client, since the problem is you
simply reach the maximum memory limit at around 3.5-3.7 GB and crash.

The actual fix is : lower your settings escpecially the number of shown players.

The question is as good as asking if it will cure cancer .. since ANet can simply NOT fix the whole internet.

I don’t really know how this effects the econonomy- i guess it just floods the market with all sorts of convenience stuff- and the people farming these keys are likely making a LOT more gold than someone who just enjoys the game normally.

Thats your problem .. complaining about something you don’t even understand.

In the end all you want for us is that we should pay more gold to get black lion skins
because that is the only thing that a keyfarm nerf would bring.

Also you can’t calculate the profit in a way as if the keyfarmer were buying all those
keys for gold, since they mostly never would do that because they know the keys
are not worth it.

And i’m personally very happy that we still have keyfarmers so i can buy my skins
in the TP for 60-70g instead of having to buy keys for maybe 200+ g

I’m not sure why there are no boots but there is no chest or leg armor since the seem (the division between chest and legging armor) is different depending on the armor type (heavy, medium or light).

^^ Exactly this .. the biggest problem we have in the whole armor design here.

Its friday short before the WvW reset, and so you have the highest chance of getting
extra mats from harvesting because of your WvW bonus.

The WvW bonus gives you a chance to get 1-3 extra swings on a node, so you can
harvest ore and wood 3-6 times and herbs 1-4.

PSUs age with time .. that means they don’t give their full power anymore and at
some point if your CPU and GPU both are under heavy stress suddenly the point
is reached where the PSU says : sorry but thats too much .. i go to sleep now ^^

Its also hard to say if your other games need as much power as GW2 in a heavy zerg.

First disable automatic reboot on bluescreens in your windows settings.

After that if the computer still restarts without a bluescreen its mostly
a problem with your power supply.

After taking a look to Divinitys Reach at the first day all i did the next days was using
the fireworks whenever i entered the homelands.

Crafted ascended shoulders and gloves today and for me they fit really nice
to my carapace chest

Mithril has a daily limit how often it can be harvested in each zone .. much like Orichalcum, and if you reach that limit you simply can’t harvest more until daily reset.

Yes and no. Gear plays a big roll in how much damage youll do. Youre not gonna run your typical 6/5/0/0/3 warrior build with magis gear and expect to deal anywhere near the same damage cause you wont.

With this said depending on how the revenant plays and how condi stacks work the highest dps might be rabid for all we know.

Gear definitely contributes substantially to how much damage you do, but “role” in the meta and “gear” are independent. Guardians with their defensive support still run full Berserker gear because it’s the highest DPS, yet their role is very defensive. Gear is more of a difficulty slider and has little impact on the meta itself.

Lastly, condition builds will never manifest as a part of optimal team configurations in instanced PvE so long as the condition cap exists.

The difference that gear makes is not that big than what some people always try
to make others believe. I recently did some calculation comparing full berserk
against characters with a zerker weapon but knights, celectial or soldiers armor
and jewlery.

The numbers were (percent damage of full zerker) :
celestial 73,57%
knights 77,67%
soldiers 72,90%
(i used numbers based on gw2skills.net for calculation)

Now if we take a mixed build like knights armor and zerker jewlery and weapon
the difference is maybe 11-12% less.

2 wrong traits can make you already loose 15% easily.

After all it seems there are no new dungeons in HoT, and so there will also be
no zerker meta for the new content since the meta only exists for speedrun
dungeons … but not for something like Vinewrath speedruns .. you simply
can’t speedkill those mobs in 10 seconds no matter how pro you are.

And so mostly its more important not to die than make 20% more damage
but only for 50% or less of the fight.
