What has that to do with Guild vs Guild ? Its just an 8 vs 8 Arena, why should that be bound in any form to a Guild ?

You know, not everyone played GW1 and maybe other MMOs instead, and in MMOs GvG means exactly that, one Guild fights against another Guild.

Or stands GvG for Group vs Group ? Since thats what i would call it. Just a mode where 2 groups are built and then they fight against each other.

When talking about stats i mean that what most player look at, and thats mostly Strength / Precision / Feriocity

Now a Strenght build has mostly around 2000 str .. a full set exotic give +15 or +16 more str, so thats less than 1% more str.
With crit it was easy before they changed it, at that time 1 of those 6 pieces gave +1 crit damage .. so that was exactly +1% more

For armor .. yeah i prefer often Knights over zerker .. but i really have no clue how much difference it is having maybe 2800 or 2850 .. and most of those zerker > all fans will mostly tell you that armor isn’t needed at all.

so with force + bloodlust i get something like + 150-200 damage.
But, with sigil of air i deal about 1000-1200 damage every 3 sec = 333 + damage every 1 sec.

You do however 2 hits per second, so its 300-400 for force+blodlust. And of course air only works on one target while your autoattack can hit multiple targets.

Oh my god .. i just patched Lotro last week and logged in and was so shocked by all that UI crap, especially since i used a mod and all looked totally garbage since it seemed they changed something in the hotbar.

I really noticed that a minimalistic UI without all that modding stuff is in the end not that bad.

Sadly, a lot of what was promised ultimately didn’t get delivered. Ascended gear added a lot of grind, and recently it got worse with the trait revamp.

Doesn’t it get old at any point to comlain again and again and again abot the totally optional ascended grind ?

I wonder what is so great on GvG if maybe a 1000+ member guild like TTS would declare war against a 10 member guild.
Also there are a lot people here in most guilds that just avoid PvP and when i was forced to PvP in another MMO because of a “Guild War” i just logged out for 2 hours until that crap was over.

Always first hover with you mouse of the next mob / NPC to check its level when you enter an unknown zone

I am well aware of the Megaserver and the IP input of the site. The site isn’t being updated with node locations which makes it inaccurate. Don’t assume and speak down to those you have no idea as to what they do or what their background is in.

At least for Frostgorge in Europe the page works very well again. You only have to avoid the times around the Claw of Jormag spawn.

There is also a “soft” version of a driver crash that is more on application level, where you get a message that the driver was resetted due to an error.

Since i tried the latest AMD Beta Drivers i also have this again from time to time.
However the actual Version at least recovers very fast while the last time i had
a driver version with that problem the screen turned into a low color resolution
after that.

The big difference of the “shooter” targeting is that you always just hit what is exactly on the middle of your screen, while with tab-targeting or maybe better locked-targeting you fire at your select target as long as it is in your FoV

Guess you’ve not played an MMO with raid and dungeon lockouts.

One of the reasons i started GW2 was that i hated raiding.

The good thing is at least that i can still ignore Teq here, since its not like in other MMOs that raids give by far the best items. If they however start with that i’m mostly out.

Also lockouts are in now way like waiting for Teq (at least i have never camped the door of a dungeon for an hour waiting to get in again). Thats more like it was in Everquest 2 where you had to camp mobs for hours until they spawn. And even if i played that game for very long, that is not something i’m missing.

Its maybe more a hybrid system here .. however what i really DON’T want is that shooter style where you can’t click you skillbar with your mouse and where every mouse movement shakes your camera. And those games also normally have no tab-targeting at all.

Was my biggest fear before i could finally test GW2 in Beta that it had a system like that, because i uninstalled all these games mostly after 30 minutes of trying to play them.

Wow. I almost never use Tab-Targeting. How is it the monsters die, then? Or does ‘Tab-targeting’ not involve pressing Tab to target? I’m confused.

Btw, I mostly use Range weapons, as I main a Ranger.

Disable “auto-targeting” and look how it then works with ranged. The auto-targeting normally works as if you use tab and locks the (more or less) next target.

Just ignore Teq and forget totally that he exists ..

For the tab-targeting .. personally i’m happy we still have it here since i really hate the shooter stlye MMOs like Vindictus, Tera, DCUO and Neverwinter. I still need the option to click skill with my mouse and i don’t want my screen to shake everytime i move my mouse.

All i can say that DR is not applied to crafting mats. You can farm mobs for powerful blood or whatever 10 hours at the same spot and the droprate will be as good/bad as when you started. So it mostly just effects the drop of blue/green crap.

Also i’ve noticed a while ago that they changed how it worked on exp/karma gain from events. Before the feature update after around an hour it dropped to nearly zero from one event to the next. Now it goes down slower and i first even noticed it. However before also when i just logged of for an hour it was back to normal, now not, i had to do some events in another zone, and even then it started to go down again after just doing 2-3 events on my old level spot.

And no, the achievements don’t show what you have bought since its just that you need 6 different pieces of every tier but it can be light, medium or heavy.

Has nothing to do with levels. Lineage 2 also worked without zoning and also RIFT for example. Also Vanguard had no zones, but they had massive problems with the constant loading of chunks that is needed for that and it was lagging like hell often.

So in the end its a pure problem of the engine that has to constantly load new stuff in memory when you move instead of loading a complete zone just once when you port.

However .. PvP and PvE is strictly seperated here. And most people play this game because its seperated and they hate beeing ganked when leveling. So if you want your open pvp .. please play any of the 1000s of asia MMOs out there, but leave this game alone.

Yeah .. sometimes it also freezes you for a while at the end.

Best it seems for me, is to directly run away if you see the f-button disapear to break the animation.

But I just got a bad idea on top of that since I like when people whisper me and say they like how my character looks

There could also be a feature where when you “inspect” another players cosmetic you can also check a box for “Like” by doing this you can check the cosmetics later on like ‘What was it that player had now?’ and also players can see how many players have checked the box and see how many who “Likes” or “Tracks” your armor :P Thats alot of work I know but … :P

Since this is an annoyingly common problem nowadays, I’m now in the routine of always closing the window and reopening it whenever it fails to respond properly (this is two successive O key presses, not hard, but we shouldn’t have come to this point at all).

Or better start with “buy more at the TP”, then you will directly see the history first, and then sell .. after that the bug normally also doesn’t apear again.

But yeah .. annoying like hell.

Yeah .. you need to avoid the time around Jormag in Frostgorge. Else i normally try to use guesting on server of different language .. my homeserver is german, then i use Desolation as international / english and Fort Ranik as french.

I still remember my first 2 exotics .. since they were after around 1000 and 2000 hours.
First was from a Svanir in Dredgehaunt Cliffs when i wanted to kill the Svanir Shaman at the Event near Hoelbrak. Next was from Claw of Jormag after i already killed him maybe 200 times

After that .. don’t know .. the next maybe from the Scarlett Zone Events .. and later the most i got from chests i farm for empyrial fragments

My tip : look for the second highest tier of food, its often much cheaper than the hightest since people may create it for leveling and sell it for less than what the mats cost that you need to craft it

There is currently a bug in the TP where the right sight of the TP with the prices doesn’t open if you rightcklick on an item to sell.
If you then select another item and go back to what you wanted to sell it seems to get messed up.

So if the right side doesn’t show the prices close the TP window and retry to avoid that.

You pay 100 gold and maybe in 2 years you have earned 110 Gold with that .. thats what some people here call P2W .. lol.

My first exotic dropped when i nearly had 1000 hours played, the second around 2000 .. then i got some more from Scarlett Invasions .. and now maybe 1 every 1-2 month either from World Bosses or these little chests in the world.

You still can only charge one Quarz crystal per day and its accountbound on creation, so no way to buy it in the TP.
