Yes, in the new Dry Top area when the sand storm starts a Legendary Sand Giant appear and last until the sand storm ends.

dont PVP/WvW (yet only lvl 64) wth is siege?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
In my opinion, whisper a simple “gj commander” worth a hundred salutes.
But yeah, there is a big chance that the commander didn’t even see your salute emote and in chat have the emote disabled.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Many players spend more on rares/exotics than the actual price of the precursor.
Mystic Forge is a gamble, you can get your precursor in your next try, or after a hundred more tries.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
No, you just change it, if you want to go back to the crafting you maxed before you just pay a small fee (a few silvers) and you ckittene the crafting again.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You still can, but to get the lvl 2 to 80 just by crafting it will cost much more than before because now you need to reach lvl 500 in 6 of the 8 crafting professions to get the same exp than before.

I’m pretty sure that the killing itself doesn’t give any point, after you conquer the sentry point or the camp where the dolyak spawn you get 1 point.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Probably, sometimes Anet forget to make the stealth skin when releasing a new skin and sometimes bugging when you stealth, but that doesn’t change how the enemy “see” you.
Like the radiant gear, when you get stealth the particle effect get all bugged because those textures where not created in the stealth condition.
If you can reproduce that bug, send a report to Anet and soon or later that get solved.

Must I remind you that word “cop” has a history behind it, which is non-existant in Tyria, yet these so-called writers made a line for Kasmeer or Marjory (can’t quite remember who said it) that sounds like “let’s play good cop/bad cop”.
Why do you mind “Big [first letter]”, but give no kittens about bigger lore-unfriendly mistakes these so-called writers make?
And if they think that it’s okay to use word “cop” where such thing is non-existant, they will have no problem calling player character “Big [first letter]”.
I’m not talking about in game culture, I mean real life culture.
Like “cop” is used in almost every culture on Earth (not Tyria) but “Big [letter]” isn’t used for sure in Portuguese, for example.
If the NPCs refer to us as “Boss”, any one can easy understand, but if they refer to me as Big B for example, it may not be very clear to some people why they are referring to you as that, since they could have never heard that before.

That test will only work if both weapons doesn’t have Power attribute.

Maybe a graphical bug on your client side, but in game you’ll be invisible, including your bow.

3 sets
An ascended zerker with ranger runes, I’m pretty much only using this one
A settler and a shaman sets with undead runes (but I use a mix of them) for WvW in a trapper build.
In WvW now I run with my engineer, so I just go in WvW with my ranger in EotM some times, so I wear my PvE gear.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Even though it would be easier to voice act “Big [first letter]” it would require 26 files for every dialogue that refers to you.
Also, the costume of call others “Big [letter]” I see only in the US, in other cultures that doesn’t make much sense or just isn’t used at all.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I don’t know, in a power build you’ll use the poison just to negate the healing, for that you already have sword #3, also you have your dodge, the sword #3 and you ckittene the sword #2 as dodge, so that extra dodge on dagger #4 isn’t really a big deal, I see an AoE reflect + retaliation + damage and extra damage + a pull more useful more often than an extra dodge, extra poison and extra cripple.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The weapon damage isn’t used in the calculation, but the the axe trait have the following “… Increases damage while wielding axes.”, when you are in DS you are still wielding your axe, so the bonus still apply.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The things is, if you did this video as a joke, then it isn’t particularly funny, it only show rangers aren’t useless in an no sarcastic way, as a joke that video is “meh”.
If that video was serious (I know it isn’t) it would be even worse.

I think he got in doubt because Life Blast looks like a weapon skill (keys 1~5) but mechanically it isn’t.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Life blast like any other utility skill doesn’t use the weapon attack modifier, it uses the own skill base damage and then is multiplied by your power and by a modifier that depends of the skill.
Now, the stats like power, precision and so on, sums up.
Life blast under 600 ranger is: [Power] * 1.4 (skill modifier) * 341 (skill base attack) / [Armor]
EDIT: People care, and some cares a lot.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Both times I logged to do the achieves and events my server got T4, so I imagine it happens often.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I personally prefer the axe by a good margin, the dagger brings an extra dodge when you have a main hand with many dodges already and a cripple, while axe brings better damage, a pull, projectile reflection, retaliation, AoE vulnerability and hits many times so gives better chances to proc an on-crit effect.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, you must be doing something wrong for sure.
I also play since head start but I have almost 15k AP (about 60 points to go), I still don’t have dungeon master, I started to do pvp just after the new reward track was introduced (currently rank 28), I basically just do WvW during the tournaments and occasional EotM runs (rank 197), my fractal level is 5, and I have about 1600 hours total and I think I never did all the available dailies (but I do the 5 dailies everyday), so getting all the AP I got from the personal story with my alts and from my dungeon runs, I doubt it gets over 10k.
AP should mean exactly what it is, Achievements Points, if you pretty much just played WvW for almost 2 years you didn’t accomplished much in game, but I’m sure that your WvW rank must be amazing and probably have some titles to show off.
EDIT: Just to clear out, I also think that AP as dungeon requirement or being used to measure skill is terrible, but there is nothing blocking you to get over 5k AP if you play since the beginning.

I agree that 8 toons at the same time would be the best imo, most players that go for over 6 toons is to have one of every class, so 8 would be the perfect number.

Once You are confusing me.
FFXIV is quite new still(its re release aka a realm reborn) and its not F2P.
I really don’t think you understand what you post.
Yes, FF is one of the 3 exceptions I wrote, and good part of what holds FF as P2P is the eastern market, if that game was launched only in the western market or if published separately, it would be F2P by now.
That is why I wrote “almost 100%”
EDIT: Also note that from the top 10 sub games list, only 2 are currently P2P, the rest are F2P with a VIP system.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, I wrote it wrongly, I meant no new game will ever survive, with the exception of the 3 games I mentioned, no other game will survive as P2P.
Of course you can’t predict for sure, but following the trend where almost 100% of the “newest” P2P MMO turned F2P.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Nothing changed so far.
The cap in cond damage is because the server couldn’t handle the calculation of instanced stacks od conditions, so they made it global.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
GW2 could not survive as a sub based game.
No game will ever survive as a sub based MMO, at least in the western market.
WoW, EvE and Final Fantasy are pretty much the only sub games that still survive as P2P, ESO and Wildstar will become F2P soon or later (specially ESO).
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Read and Interpretation is weak on the OP.
Yeah … as others mentioned, that list are of subscription MMOs, which GW2 isn’t.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Maybe when GW2 goes subscription, they will mention it in the article. /shrug
TERA, RIFT, SWTOR are F2P anyways, they do have sub but optional.
All of them are ex-P2P that moved to F2P and also have a subscription option, while GW2 was always B2P.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Just wait and see …
Currently we are “hunting” Mordremoth, the other dragon will probably come later.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Nothing that the pet does counts for the ranger.
Cond damage caused by pet doesn’t count towards daily, the interrupt as you mentioned also doesn’t count, daily kills also doesn’t cont, the weapon master and slayer achievements doesn’t count if the pet kills the target, I think those are the examples I remember.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Macroing will not turn an inefficient gamer into efficient. A not experienced player with a i.e. 6 button rotation(like the one you suggest) will still lose against an experienced player without macro rotation.
True, but would give an advantage to an experienced player over another experienced player that doesn’t use macro.
An experienced player with a gaming mouse/keyboard that knows exactly when to use the rotations and thanks to the macro knows that the rotation will be executed perfectly 100% of the time will have the advantage. A big advantage? No, but still one.

Asura Ranger have a good synergy with Technobabble and Moment of Clarity
EDIT: Signet of Beastmastery + Signet of the Wild → Bear Form = win IMO

You don’t have 2 years old toons because the game doesn’t even have 2 years since release, next month GW2 will reach the 2nd year after release, the betas doesn’t count.
Edit: Type /age ingame, when it shows " … over the past 730 days" in the end, you’ll get your 2nd birthday gift.

keystroke =/= action
the “action” is “send the message ‘/me kisses Xxx’”
Technically wrong, in your example that keystroke would perform 14 actions which would result in 1 in game emote.
I macro /cheer and /bow.. Still need to see the first ban for macro-ing emotes, tbh..
While it is bannable, Anet won’t search for that, player won’t report for that and it is likely that Anet would even ignore that if they knew you are macroing those emotes, but still technically bannable.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Oh yeah, I missed the “set of theories” part.
As they said, try to spread each theory, if 1 theory is long/detailed then follow what I said previously.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You may use multiple posts in a row in the same thread, and attach the diagram in one of the the posts, make the diagram an image file for that.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yup, it is like the macros to play instruments, the function in game is totally harmless, but goes against the rules or 1 key/1 action.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I was kinda making a question knowing the answer, his example of why sword was good was a bad example.
I agree with TurtleDragon, in PvE the sword “annoyance” doesn’t make up for the benefits, GS has almost every benefit of the sword (a leap finisher, an active block instead of an evasion, and an extra evasion in the AA instead of a root …) and you pretty much never need to actively run to get the target since mobs barely move, and the DPS difference isn’t that high (considering 1v1, in AoE the difference may favor the GS)
In WvW and PvP, sword is great, the removal of the root in the leap from the AA would be amazing, but all in all it is good.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
These new mobs are great, they punish “dumb” playstyle that so far was rewarded, until now if you took too long to kill you could take more damage so full glass builds was the meta, now if you blindly burst the new mobs you’ll get punished so a more defensive and/or hybrid builds are rewarded.
Bring boon removal, bring better healing, bring condition damage, bring interrupts, all that makes the fight easier.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I think it is a bit of both.
Save the state of the instance and reload it after a death isn’t that easy.
But I think the main reason is that the devs want the game to be easy, specially in the “story modes”, there most players just want to know the story and doesn’t really care about the challenge.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
While I agree that those achieves are easy, not everyone have the same game skills.
I read people struggling against trash mobs during the story, imagine if they needed to think in other things while still fighting.
I think what Anet meant is that the achievements would be harder than the previous ones, that usually it consisted of kill x mobs, find those items, be in x events and so on, and now they are definitely harder.
Also the “not everyone can do them” doesn’t mean that it was planned to only 10% would get it, I think anet had something like 60~70% (my guess) would get it and the rest not be able to complete it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
There’s honestly nothing wrong with it. It’s actually helpful in some situations, Lupicus for example. Use off hand skills to interrupt the AA chain.
Can you give an example of where the sword mechanic is helpful, be able to use an off hand weapon isn’t a good example of how good the sword is.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Charr thief and norn necromancer.
It… Somewhat works?
Ash Legion welcome Charr thieves any time, many there ARE thieves.
Norn necromancer is no issue at all, specially because norns are close to the spirits and have a very shamanistic culture, “specialize” in the spirits/force of the underword is just another way of look at it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Oh true, I linked the wiki page but I didn’t carefully read it
As you said, I pre-purchased the deluxe edition so I mixed both.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It was the Hero’s Band : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hero%27s_Band
You get that with the deluxe edition of GW2.

Who said post Nightfall centaurs did not form an alliance with the remaining kournans? Zhed certainly got along well with the player character. He was the coolest horsey!
If, and a really big if, such alliance ever existed, you wouldn’t have a cite from Varesh Ossa about it for sure.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, the runes rise the character speed, not the pet’s.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
In that case, “NPC perspective” fits perfectly.
Why the slavers would admit they were using slaves?
I read the whole thread where Bobby Stein made that infamous post, but in this case looks fine and that doesn’t involve outside game information so that “argument” doesn’t apply here, the PC know the Mordremoth name is more weird imo.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
They look ok, nothing spectacular but quite nice.
The staff, longbow and shield are the ones that looked the best imo.
