Maybe he meant “beast”?
I’m also not really sure what he is trying to say, maybe something like werewolf are wolf+human he is suggesting werequaggan, wereogre, wereskritt and so on.

Pole weapon in concept art isn’t new, even the norn in the Timberline Falls load screen looks like to be holding a spear/lance

What wall you used as background to crop, I tried that before but in the end I had to erase pixel by pixel to the crop be any good and I quit in the middle of the process :P
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah probably not.
A time ago, only the upgrade to deluxe was on sale in the gem store, so those are 2 different products.

Bearbow damage isn’t that low, the problem is that you end getting far from the group where the buffs are, so you don’t reach the damage potential other builds have.
That build is popular because most players make a ranger to be an archer, also bears have a really high HP so they can tank allowing you to only focus on damage, solo play this build is very effective in open world PvE, but when you need to play any other aspect of the game you’ll be doomed.
Rangers are despised at dungeons because a bad ranger build is way worse than a bad warrior, guardian, mesmer and so on, so while a bad warrior can be tolerated a bad ranger can’t.

A good part of what used to be jungle turned into a rocky desert for sure, but I don’t think that everything turned into a desert.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Also a good tip, try to join the WvW in the reset day (about 1 hour after the Friday daily reset) that is the time most players push the attacks.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
IMO you don’t need to grind to get asc gear and asc gear is not even needed to begin with, but that aside, I wasn’t all serious, hence the "
" , but I don’t think such game industry philosophy will change in time to GW2 actually be available for consoles, maybe a GW3 or even another future MMO franchise from Anet.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Luckily our server is doing well and we usually have most of our BL map, so all you need to do is wait.
When HoD become red server for example, just complete it and wait for the server to change again to blue or green.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
They say that the day they can make update with out having to be dealing with the console company, they will bring the game out side pc
That is the reason GW2 will never be on console

Channeling skills, like mesmer GS auto attack, cause many damages during the attack but instead of show several small numbers they are sum and showed.
In your case, the 2197 damage in the screen is the sum of many of those 800’s damage of the log.
896 + 405 + 896 = 2197
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
No one knows.
Well, the devs know but they can’t say, so yeah … just wait and hope for the best

I usually go to the hot join pvp, I enter in a match that already started and when it ends I go to another match already started, usually in about 15 mins I have daily dodger, cond applier/remover, daily pvp matches, daily point/pvp kills , so usually around 4 dailies are done there, then I log in a few alts parked near rich ore nodes and finish the gather daily.
My way isn’t the faster way, but gives a good amount of gold in the long run, more AP since complete other dailies end happening naturally (daily kills, daily leveler, daily event) besides the APs from the pvp tab, and now with the track system you get tons of skill scrolls for even easier daily.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Maguuma changed a lot since GW1, also we can’t say that we’ll only get a desert map, we can get a desert and a “swampy” map, I’m sure that we won’t get only 1 map during the season 2.
But at start Dry Top is a big candidate to be in the season 2.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, an i7 CPU is just a 30+ years old concept made fancier …
Oculus Rift is a good concept and the work is to make it easier to use and cheaper to produce, the concept of how it work sure is old, like almost every technology we have today.
Console MMOs was never a thing, at least in the western market, and the few that reach here usually requires a keyboard or a device to emulate a keyboard, I don’t see GW2 on PS4/XBONE at all.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
By next-gen you mean the current consoles? If so, just no.
Or you mean really next gen CPUs and devices like Oculus Rift and stuff?
A 1st person camera with Oculus Rift in Jumping Puzzles would be amazing, I would play a game that consisted of just that.

(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
What people mean by 40~50g per day by dungeon is doing almost every dungeon path in the game, it takes a bout 4 hours a day to do that with good PUGs.
You just skip things like Arah P4, TA aether and things like that.
EDIT: Also you need to salvage the gear you can buy with the tokens, like the soldier insigneas from the AC gear, and ectos from the lvl 70+ rare gear.

Yeah, the thing is that most classes with a bad build works kinda fine, a ranger with a bad build is terrible.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I hope they finaly balance ranger :/
I’m expecting an Aquaman 2.0 update for the rangers and probably something nice for the other classes, I would guess specially for thief, mesmer and guardian.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
People fail to realize that rangers are only weak at zerg fights in WvW and have only 1 good build for dungeons, for pvp and wvw roaming rangers are great.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The current status is: Under construction
Class balance and changes takes a while, several months, so all we can do for now is wait and embrace for the impact :P
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The things is, statistically, it IS possible to roll a D100 for years and never get a 1 or 100.
RNG is the same for everyone, most languages I know a randomize command usually return a number between 0 and 1 and you can do what ever you want with that number.
I agree that we should get someway, besides TP, to acquire a precursor that doesn’t rely on RNG, but the RNG is working as intended … randomly.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
People farm dungeons that gives a fixed amount of gold, champion/karma trains gives a steady amount of gold and any lucky drops in both examples are just a plus, you can do both w/o never getting an exotic/asc and still have gold enough to buy whatever you need.
The paycheck reference would be like dungeon/world boss/guild mission guaranteed rewards, you can do them (like a job IRL) and be sure that you’ll get a minimum amount of gold and the lucky drops would be the lottery, if you win lucky you, if don’t try next time, at least you have your paycheck.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It simply isn’t possible. There is no such thing without RNG.
I know, but you can sure play without relying on RNG, there is nothing in GW2 that requires RNG, fractal skins aren’t required, Teq weapons aren’t required, monocle isn’t required …
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
How come I play the lottery every week for the past 10 years without winning once and some random person that plays once in a while won it? That is unfair and should be fixed.
That argument doesn’t apply. You can choose to not play lottery and you wont lose anything. In Guildwars, even opening bags is lottery, as is hoping for drops, opening chests of any kind, using the mystic toilet for half the recipes or the amount of damage you do through precision.
In GW you can choose not to play the RNG and you won’t lose anything.
Just like RL, all you missing is the opportunity to be rich, in GW2 is even more fair since you are getting free lottery tickets and in some case you can sell those tickets, you’ll get a smaller sure reward instead of an uncertain but higher reward.

(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Needed? Not at all.
But I have to say that it is a nice QoL, I have a CM Storm Inferno, not as many additional buttons as a Naga but be able to dodge, and use the elite and utility skills in the mouse is great.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes you can get those points, and it would be really fast to get enough for the full heritage set.
Just make sure that you also buy the GW: Eye of the North, that expansion is what allow you to link with GW2.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
15~18 is too much imo, but a 2 parties (10 players) dungeon would be interesting, that would be almost like a raid.
The Deep and Urgoz was really fun in GW1, I wouldn’t mind a similar experience here.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Those articles are all about the LS season 1, so I doubt it will have any info about a new zone.
Probably a “word play” referring to a article that will talk about some points of the LS1.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
1) How does Sigil of Blood interact with Omnomberry pie? Are they independently triggered and on independent cooldowns, or do they share a cooldown? If they share a cooldown then obviously using both is pointless.
They have separated cooldowns and triggers, so you can use both at same time w/o worries.
2) Do all proc sigils (fire, air, blood, etc) share a cooldown, or are they independent? My reading of the patch notes says they should be independent now, but I see a lot of people on various forums insisting otherwise.
They are independent, you just can’t use sigils of the same name, like 2 fire sigils will share the cooldown.
3) Is Sigil of Rage actually worth a darn? It doesn’t seem like it’s that awesome for sustained DPS because of its long cooldown, but for rapidly bursting down trash, it seems fairly handy. I’m using it now, but am kind of divided. Obviously, Sigil of Force is better in the general case, but it’s also boring. Related, how does Sigil of Air stack up now that it’s been buffed with a shorter cooldown on Superior versions?
Sigil of Rage is cheap for a good reason
, Sigil of Air for 1v1 is great, high damage and low CD, Sigil of Force is great against world bosses and some occasions where you can’t crit.
4) Mango Pie + Sigil of Blood vs. Omnomberry pie. Tied to the first question, since if omnoms and blood sigils have independent cooldowns, that combo is obviously better for both damage and survivability – but if they share a cooldown, how well does the sigil work with health regen food?
Blood and Omnom are independent, so yeah …
The good thing of mango is that you don’t need to be attacking to gain health so it is a more reliable regen, also it stacks with any other source of regen (the boon regen, blood sigil, siphon from necros, troll unguent from rangers and so on )
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The reason Guard has a CD to cast is because it needs to interrupt the current AI state of the pet to start the Guard effect, and for that the server side need to check the current state of the pet and change it to start the Guard and all that takes time, other shouts doesn’t need all that verification, that is the reason that almost every F2 skill takes a time to be used.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Only against guards … but I get what you mean ;D
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, currently the oldest Sylvari is 26~27 years old, and Scarlet wasn’t a Firstborn, so being a “teenager” as a Sylvari is kinda tricky to say.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, but I as far as I can recall, there are no versatile WvW infusions.
WvW no, but for build link purpose it makes no difference.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
How do you want to put vital infusions in both rings and accessories?
Using versatile infusion in the opposite trinkets, like versatile vital infusion in the offensive items.
Pretty expensive, but works.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, what’s the long term value of it though? You decorate it, make it look whatever, and then what? Are you going to stand around in your house looking at your pictures?
In Wildstar, using the resources of the housing, you can create Jumping Puzzles and Mazes in your home instance and invite friends to try to beat it, and far from be a small one.
House system is as cool as your imagination limit it to be.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
That kinda looks like the new Mistforged Torch.
But yeah, only a few weapons use its own skin when used in a projectile skill, axe #3, #4, torch #4, engineer shield #5, warrior axe #3 and so on, all those usually use the default skin.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
How you did that test?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
If you like to make alts then buy a new char slot, also you can use it to farm BL keys, and if you need/want to try a new class in pvp you can also use that slot.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Sadly the mention of the word “Goldseller” here makes your topic be locked or deleted.
Anyway, I don’t think the account is given back to the owner, it just gets banner and that is it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
A good part of the Maguuma was pretty dry, now that area probably extended, a rocky desert scenario would make sense along with swamps in some areas.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Charr is as long as the Asura, is the one where you need to fight against the Duke Barradin (giant stone statue dude :P)
Norn is the longest imo, you need the hunt a trophy and after that you need to kill the wurn Isomir.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Welcome to the GW2 community, you started with the right foot in the MMO world
a) Try to diverse your gameplay since everything in GW2 gives exp. Do your Personal Story, gather everything in the map, complete the maps (vistas, PoI, hearts) even from the other races, crafting also gives good exp, and the daily quests, try to do a bit of everything and you’ll level faster than you expect w/o getting bored at all.
b) Shield isn’t an option for mesmers, I recommend sword+focus as main set and sword+sword or a greatsword as secondary set, for leveling I think it will be better to have a greatsword as a secondary set for its long range, you never know when you’ll need it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Why is the ranger such an attractive target? Surely there are weaker classes?
Ranger is pretty good at 1v1 battles and really bad at zerg battles. But the good 1v1 build is kinda specific and people can notice just by looking at your character.
If you are a ranger running alone in WvW people will try too see your weapons and pet, if they see you with a longbow and bear they will go attack you sure that they will win, I do that with my ranger and I can’t remember a time I lost to a bearbow in WvW.
Try to change your weapons to something like sword/warhorn + greatsword, GS #3 (swoop) is great to move faster and sword is a hard weapon to use so most rangers that use it are more experienced and other players will think twice before engaging you, besides it offers many dodges giving you more time to run away or wait for help.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Bifrost gives the rainbow but not the unicorn, mesmers are halfway there.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You know, I wondered about this the other day and I was going to try it out but forgot – what happens to the cooldown(s) on the weapon that you don’t switch, guess it’s global per specific weapon?
Yes, the CD is global, but most main hand weapons have fast CDs and only the off hand have the longer CD, so change them is a good idea.
I use that tactic with my ranger and mesmer, my ranger use axe/axe+ wh and on mesmer sword/sword + focus
BTW, if you add an “on swap” sigil in the weapon that doesn’t change, it still proc on weapon swap, so there is no downside besides the CD, actually it is a good thing since you can use an expensive weapon and use an expensive sigil and have it up 100% of the time.
