(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

Wait, seriously? No one misses Dshot?
Rangers used to require so much skill, closest I can get for that in GW2 is SB #5. A 25s cooldown rupt. Ugh.
Recurving bow was my best friend in GW1
Even back in gw1 rangers was not a good (maybe one of the worst) class in PvE, and in PvP we were good but usually for a specific role, rupter.
GW2 seems to keep that tradition, rangers are not good at PvE but good in PvP but with very few builds.
EDIT: In PvE bows was never my thing with rangers (Spear or Axe/Shield BM was my build), but when I used bows I also didn’t used preparations, mainly because of barrage, splinter weapon + barrage was always way better imo.

That map is VERY old, it is the map in the GW2 novels, and those were released almost a year before the game release, so add that Bloodstone Fen dungeon icon could be a overlook from the Anet, but that dungeon is in their plans for a long time for sure.
“The dungeon team was disbanded quite early on and amalgamated in to the living story teams.”
That only means that the dungeon team is working along with the living story team, instead of just focus on the current dungeons and fractals.
So they are still making new dungeons but now tied to the living story, like we are almost sure that there will be a dungeon in the Maguuma Wastes, the Bloodstone Fen source, and we know that the next living story will lead us towards the Maguuma, sooo … I expect to see that dungeon soon enough.
Yeah .. the key is that you mostly have some NPCs that help you and do even most of the work at the lvl 10 quest so that you can do that already with lvl 5 or 6.
Most can do that lvl 10 mission easily at lvl 4 (I rarely do at lvl 5), I never tried at lvl 3 because the exp from the PS alone makes you at least lvl 4.
Sigil of Blood may be an option, if you keep attacking the target, but not a good idea for the stealth step.
Sigil of Energy is also good since it gives an extra dodge for that “Oh fecal matter!” ;D moment, I think this is the best one for your use.
I don’t really understand your question.
You mean if there is anything that you can equip that looks like the profane skin?
If so, I don’t remember any right now, but you can go to the bank NPC, click in the last icon in the left side of the window “Vault” and there you can see all the possible skins in the game and preview them.
The sylvari alternative is substantially slower than the human commoner run.
But, if you want to try, Shield of the Moon is the option used in the run.
Why did they even bother with giving everyone the same mini?
Can you toss her into the Mystic Forge?
Nope.
<- Owner of 8 Jennah’s mini
But she hasn’t, and unlike M.O.X., her character even has a role in the story beyond their relation to our GW1 avatars.
Well, she is available to be added now, lore wise.
I’m not saying that she or M.O.X are likely to appear in game, but I don’t see why the fact that they were in the GW1 time, stops them from be added.
Ogden was very underused in GW2, if you didn’t make a norn and/or join the priory and lucky get the right options you’ll probably never see him at all, I think Anet didn’t tried to hide him, they just wasn’t able to make him appear more somehow.
PS: I think that the grammar in this post looks weird but I can’t imagine where …
I got 1 legendary, 4 asc weapons (2 of them was drops), 1 asc set (medium armor), 3 sets of asc trinkets and 2 asc back pieces and all classes at lvl 80, so currently all I’m doing is login, finish dailies, logoff, on weekends I do the guild missions
Don’t get me wrong, I love GW2, but I’m kinda burnout.
…“/g” posts in german, …
You don’t use the guild chat much, right? ;D
But the idea is quite good, have chat tags for the languages supported by GW2, just like we have for emote, map, guild and so on.
1. open world focus (where one never had to enter a dungeon for anything)
You do realize that every update from the living story focus in open world and the rest of the game barely get any update, so that already happens.
2. metas/DEs added monthly to every zone, and stayed there.
That would be nice, of course not monthly since it would get just too many soon enough, but regularly get new metas would be fun.
3. removal of DR so that if you chose you could actually play as a legit farmer without stigma
Welcome to the Bot paradise.
4. the restoration/balance of all roles in PVE (CC, Healing, Condition builds)
Agree
5. the restriction of all Ascended armor to fractal use only. (armor not weapons, because that’s what we were told it was for, fractals with agony resist requirements)
That is a really bad idea in general, if someone wants to play in fractals and PvE he should have 2 separated sets?
If you can’t make one you don’t need to suggest that anyone can have it, and the advantage of ascended armor over exotic is really small.
6. making the home customizeable and extremely useful, while adding elements that allow for one to be social easily
Agree
7. additions of cosmetics monthly that are not all focused in the store and won’t be restricted to make them cost 500 gold in the TP
The living story brings that, there are some cool masks, back pieces, etc … that you can get for free by playing the game.
8. the restoration of the projects that allow certain functions to occur outside of the game like the mobile/web projects (to track guildies, to see global activity timers, to craft/sell using a web interface)
Also agree.
M.O.X. would have direct knowledge of our Guild Wars 1 character, and that’s a tangle ANet may well be better off avoiding.
You probably read Sea of Sorrows, if not then don’t open the spoiler tag.
Livia is still alive, she may appear in game any time
This will make everything more clear.

In Season 2 we’ll see the results of that silent period, I hope for the best, otherwise gain back the hopes of the players will be a really hard task.
Also achievements gives exp, dailies are good ones to look at, like salvage 10 items, kill 30 ambient creatures, even level up gives more exp haha
There are several issues with content voting.
Those are points from the top of my head.
Well, turn it off…
The other players have it turned on by default of the game, most of them don’t know that, there is nothing the OP can do.
Greetings from /v
If you set your client to english it won’t happen anymore, right?
i do think it’s possible, probable in fact, that there was jade before shiro screwed everything up. after all, jade is the name of a stone, so it stands to reason that if they named their inland sea “jade sea”, then it’s because they had jade to compare colors with in the first place.
My thoughts exactly.
There is no color called “jade”, so the Jade Sea was named after the jade stone.
Maybe the Jade Sea didn’t have any jade at all before Shiro’s “accident” but somewhere in Cantha had a jade quarry.

The CDI changes I think will only be added around Q4 2014 and Q1 2015, an ele CDI will probably be the next one, but don’t expect any change until 2015.
Changes in classes takes a long time to develop and test, Anet always takes a very long time to make class changes.
Oh, many complained about that, specially players that bought the WvW armor, added expensive runes and now there is no way to retrieve it, unless you buy the spliter that is even more expensive than the rune to remove it.
Black Lion Salvage Kit.
I salvaged my soulbound exotic armors couple days ago, to get the Shaman inscription, so I’m 100% sure you can, your armor may be from the WvW (badges of honor) or from a Orr Temple (karma)
You can salvage soulbound armor, only the armor bought with badges of honor and karma aren’t.
I suggest using BLSK to salvage those, since they have 100% change to remove them.
When/If you get your tickets, it will be based on the server you fought the most, in your case the medium-doing silver one, no mater to what sever you’ll go.
Indeed. I mean, everyone knows that no one plays dungeons, fractals, wvw or even the entire game anymore because it’s permanently available.
..oh wait
How much gold do you get from SAB, the time/gold ratio there is worth? You would keep regularly playing SAB after you finished all the world and crafted the weapons you want?
People do dungeons because it is fun or because it is profitable?
Players run fractals just for the joy of do it, or they expect some reward there?
When was the last time you joined a keg brawl/crab toss/southsun survival? I imagine those activities are filled with people all the time.

Weird, see Caithe do that made me like her over any other member of the Destiny’s Edge. She is the only one with potential to some interesting story, the rest of the DE are too dull imo.
Caithe is in the borderline to join the Nightmare Court, she isn’t bound to honor or try to look like a hero.
In a D&D chart she would be a good example of Chaotic Good character.
Alright, the jade from Jade Quarry may be from the Jade Wind, but the jade in Aurios Mines may be prior to the Jade Wind, right?
I refuse to believe that 100% of the jade from the Jade Sea region come from the effect of the Jade Wind, if both Jade Quarry and Aurios Mines jade aren’t real, where the jade came from before the Jade Wind?
(the number of “jade” used in this post is over 9000)
3. Princess Doll with Princess Doll mini…of course! Doesn’t she scream when you jump?
If the jump is high enough, yes.
I made the golem mini but I didn’t have the material for the tonic.
EDIT: LOL we derailed this topic haha
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
Currently no, only if you use a transmutation spliter, but that is usually more expensive than any sigil.
Many have suggested to legendaries be able to store sigils and once you stored it, be able to swap.
On my Norn I use the Toy Soldier, along with a Toy Soldier mini
http://www.e3insider.com/exhibitors-list/
ArenaNet as lordkrall said, never goes to E3, and NcSoft isn’t in the exhibitors list.
If SAB become permanent, one of 2 things will happen, at least for me.
1 – I’ll get burnout trying to finish everything at once and after I finish I won’t go there for a VERY long time, if ever.
2 – I’ll think “I can do that later”, and enter in a loop of procrastination (the most likely option in my case :P )
Yeah, I remember when it was 3g – 100 gems. Those were some good days.
Back then get 3g was harder (imo) to get than 10g is now.
It creates more holes in your pockets since you have to pay for past journals.
All you need to do is log once every 15 days to get all the content for free, you don’t even need to play, just log.
Yeah, WvW is the only trick part, my suggestion is, wait for your server change colors to complete it, like if your server is in the blue side, go complete the blue border, when your server change to green, go map the green border, and so on.
The PvE maps are really easy, just the Orr are gets a bit annoying, but with the megaserver it is less annoying than it used to be.
Some tonic still allow you to jump, like the toy tonics, that fix the issue of JP and toon size, but particularly I don’t feel that much of a difference, I completed every JP (except the Not So Secret, I used portal there) with my nearly max size Norn w/o the use of tonics.
I don’t think that SAB will be added into the story journal, but if it end there, then I agree that it will probably work just as you said Skullmount.
Hopefully SAB will never be permanent.
Sigh…I’ve got to bring this up yet again. It WILL become perm or once every month on a time gate…just like the pvp reward tracks are. Otherwise they will end up refunding people for actually spending real world cash to buy this http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Infinite_Continue_Coin. And at this point it’s highly unlikely they will with how much they are pushing to sell gems.
By permanent I meant always there, I hope that SAB be available in a constant time interval, like a month every 6~8 months for example, but that model isn’t permanent, it is intermittent/seasonal.
BTW I bought the infinite continue coin and I still don’t want SAB to be a permanent feature.
You do realized that in order to not need to pay for anything you just need to log 2 times per month, and you don’t even need to actually play, just log and that is it, right?
I don’t mind the 200 gem fee for unlocking episodes you may have missed. It reminds me of the Bonus mission pack, which was a rather beloved addition to Guild Wars 1 that people played a lot because it gave out some nice weapon skins. (tengu skins for the win!)
True, and I think a GW2 BMP should be released in the future with a similar mechanic from the GW1 one, instanced mission with an ok challenge, to unlock skins (not APs, that would be kinda unfair imo).
I also bought it in GW1, and I used a lot my Undead Scythe, Charr Axe and Mursaat Bow.
It IS a festival, or at least works like one, the SAB story doesn’t cross the LS story.
the only thing i see that kind of rubs me the wrong way is having to pay 200 gems to get the content if you missed it…for instance when I go on vacation this summer…if this content falls in the 2 weeks i’m gone, im screwed
In the Season 1 if you went to vacation and you missed the update, well … then you’ll have no way to play it ever, now you just need to pay about 20g to be able to play it anytime you want, sounds really fair imo.
Also you can use the gems you get from 5k/10k/15k … AP chests, you get 400 gems each.
Unless you have the condition poison on you, poison reduce the amount you can be healed by 33%, otherwise after the healing cast time finishes you’ll be healed by the description amount no matter or what.
If the heal apply some type of heal over time, the healing in the description is the total amount for the full duration of the HoT.
The level of the tonic only determine the bonus and duration of the potion, and the level required to use it, like a lvl 50 character can’t use a lvl 80 potion.
You may use it at a lvl 1~15 map and still get the 10% damage bonus.
It is a very small difference.
The animation time in the smallest asura and the tallest norn are the same, also the hit box in both are the same, it is just a bit harder to see the animations on small characters, that is a really small advantage against experienced players, if you are not thinking in playing PvP competitively/hardcore then character size is no issue.
SAB won’t be permanent next time, that is for sure.
Devs stated some times that if SAB and other events was permanent, the players would lose interest soon enough and then it wouldn’t be as exciting as it is now, when open.
Hopefully SAB will never be permanent.
I just noticed that was you that made the OP after I posted, so I would assume that you knew about the NPC (I’m amazed it is a male haha), and I could skip that part
There are some items made of jade and also the crafting item jadeite shard in GW1, those are probably jade from the quarry and not from the water turned into jade and likely same material used in that statue.
Talking with one of the first NPC when you arrive from LA, she gives a lot of hints that they went to Cantha and the decoration idea came was based from there.
Also, even in GW1 there was The Jade Quarry, that jade wasn’t sea water that turned by the Jade Wind, that was just regular jade, so that statue could be made of regular jade.
I thought this topic would be about the ranger trait.
On topic, I agree with #1 and #2 would be nice, the rest are kinda meh.
