What do you get when you put a mini Logan Thackery and a Mini Queen Jennah into the forge?
You get a mini Dead Snaff!
HAHAHA that one actually made me laugh … and some ppl here in the office looked weird at me, and I just can’t explain this joke.

SB speed was nerfed only once, and quickness was also nerfed once, I think the quickness nerf happened after the SB one, so you may have missed that update and is felling the SB slower.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, it is the second scenario.
Your guild need to have the same challenge, and then do it along with other guilds that also need it.

Quicksand damage is always 12% HP/s no matter what—there were / are a few guides out there admonishing removing all armor that adds vitality, which is pointless, since the damage is a percentage.
The damage being a percentage is the reason why vitality is bad there.
If you have 20k HP you’ll take 2400 damage, if you have 16k HP you’ll take 1920 damage, but in both cases you’ll be healed for the same amount so out heal the damage with lower HP is much easier.

What ranger trait increases the range of dagger? My ranger only has one that affects longbow/harpoon gun…..
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So, you want the credit for doing something but you don’t like doing it … yeah, makes sense and sounds reasonable. >_>
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I used to use that skill in GW1 in my axe build for DoA.
For an elite, it would be at least 90s cooldown and also be affected by swiftness would be too much, specially in WvW, but the overall idea is nice.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I think the coin that you gain from guessing right where the cow land is worth 1g (I may be wrong have a long time since I saw that event)
Also, if you interact with the cattlepult after the bet event you’ll reach the vista you mentioned.
GW2 is filled with those tiny fun stuff and most dynamic events are result or a start of a chain, keep around or following the NPC involved in the events is usually worth.
I’m glad to see people actually having a good time playing
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I don’t think this update was amazing, I just think that along the whole LS we’ll get the rest of the maps and a new dungeon, and for just an opening update it was good.
We’ll reach the update were a new dungeon will be released and 2 weeks later another update will be available and many players can even feel “overwhelmed” by content.
People lately are just too impatient, I prefer to get a bit of stuff during a short period of time than tons of stuff at once and then nothing else for months, but that is just my opinion.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
@Snowmoon I don’t think the hologram was well hidden, I think it was well placed, it wasn’t that obvious, but if you waited a bit after you finished talking with Taimi you would see that she move really close to it and there would have a good chance to pop the “interact” in the screen if you tried to talk with Taimi again.
Yes, the story and how the instances was planned was very nice, a good variety of “missions” (defense, investigation, boss battle, so on) overall it was indeed a good improvement from LS1.

Imagine they had started season 2 with at leats 3 new FULL maps and a new Dungeon with 3 paths and then said that’s your lot for at least 3 months? Wouldn’t that have been better and more exciting?
No it wouldn’t.
Dry Top as you said takes a few hours, “3 new FULL maps” would take like a couple days to finish, also do all paths of a new dungeon would take another couple days, that is about 1 maybe 2 weeks of content, so … what you would do in the rest of the 2,5 months without any new update?
EDIT: It is your problem that you don’t want to do all the offered content, do all the story and all the achieves from this update would be enough to keep you busy for those 2 weeks, assuming you don’t play 8~10 hours a day.

As everything from LS now, it will be permanent.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
There is a topic like that sticked on each race and class sub-forum and there is the mix-and-match topic on this forum, no need for another one.
BTW, nice screenshot
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Currently there aren’t traits that affect underwater skills/weapons exclusively, but there are skills that also affect underwater weapons, like a ranger trait that rise the longbow and the harpoon damage, other that rise greatsword and spear damage.
Also, most the skills you use in land also works underwater, but there aren’t exclusive underwater skills, so in that case traits that affect signets for example will also work underwater, so you can plan your build with that in mind.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The range difference is so small (20 unities) that it is probably due the attack animation, to make the range attack animation more plausible the 20 extra range was needed.
I’m not so pro that I can take advantage of that extra 20 range, I can’t even imagine how that would be any advantage.
EDIT: If warriors had the same skills I agree, with the same damage multipliers no, warriors would cry all over the place.
Ranger GS#3 is similar to warrior GS#5 and warrior still have #4 as mobility.
Ranger GS#2 is far from be any burst compared to warrior GS#2.
Yeah ranger’s GS#4 and #5 are nice for sure, but warriors have utilities for that.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
I would happily trade my ranger GS range and evasion for the warrior’s GW damage and mobility.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
At level 80 a lot of skins become available (each dungeon, exotics, WvW, ascended …), but as a medium armor user, be prepared to see “a lot” of variations of trench coats, and trench coats only.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
mesmer -> warrior was an example, but the rest keeps the same, don’t wait for that, just make a new character, so many options to level an alt to 80, it won’t take a week to make a new char to 80.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Like you made a mesmer and now you want that same toon to become a warrior?
If so I wouldn’t wait for it at all, it may be possible in the future, who knows?, but that won’t be any time soon.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Double click is still one click but twice… so basicly autoclicker is 1 action multiple times for 1 command.
Bold part is the issue.
The rule isn’t “1 type of action per command”, the rule is “1 action per command”.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
We’ll get more maps later for sure, but currently yeah, only Dry Top.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
How so
Was stated several times that you can only make 1 action with 1 command, an auto clicker to produce a double-click action every time interval automatically goes against that rule.
Even if you use a gaming mouse macro that emulate multiple actions, like a button that turn camera + a backward leap skill + turn camera for example, isn’t allowed.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Just use a auto clicker and set ur mouse to double click every .01 sec on the item it hoovers over.
Now THIS is a bannable offense.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
This update wasn’t supposed to do anything with any class besides bug fixes.
Only mesmers got a bug fix that involved a part of their gameplay with sword, but still it was a bug and many mesmers are complaining, but I doubt anything will change about it.
About a future update, I think the devs will say something before a class update, since we didn’t hear anything, don’t expect anything.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Map your left click to your scroll wheel using a 3rd party program.
That’s a bannable offense I believe.
Not really, you are still using 1 command for 1 action.
1 mouse scroll “click” = 1 left button click, so it is fine.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You need to first infuse the ascended gear to create the slot to add the agony resistance.

This → http://wiki.guildwars2.com/
That link need to be your best friend for a while, even in game if you type “/wiki <thing you want to know>” it will redirect you to the wiki page about the thing you want to know.
Also try to look for a guild that are willing to accept new players (there are plenty of guilds that do) and the members there will sure help you with any doubt and give tips.
If you later have any more specific doubts post here in the forum.

It can only be your mouse, or maybe you changed the key bind of the right-button in the game menu for unknown reasons.
I never had any problem with my RMB since the betas.

Cantha … Tengu confirmed.

Yeah, the way up is kinda tricky but I got it in about 5~6 tries (almost max size Norn), when I tried I didn’t know about the goggle so yeah … but I’ll go there later as a necro and use spectral walk as a safe net.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
you forgot kodachi
Kodachi is pretty much just an old model of a wakizashi.
I think Anet will release those skins soon enough, and things like a Naginata as underwater spear and stuff
EDIT: Yeah, you CAN use a katana one-handed if you pratice ken-jutsu you leaan how to use a katana+wakizashi technique, the wakizashi is pretty much just to parry in that situation but still used.

You may wait and see in the future, but currently they are just trash.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, even the achieves are permanent.
After unlocking the story (by just log in the game) you can do the achievements any time you want.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well taking the RL proportions it isn’t a katana, in GW proportions it is a well made tooth pick :P
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You are new around here, right?
Yeah, that is the thing people complain the most about the ranger sword, there are a few ways to work around that issue but those are still just work around.
Most PvP players like the way sword works, for PvE (outside dungeon bosses) it is a very clunky weapon, for WvW opinions get divided.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
As a mentioned in the other topic, a katana would be a sword skin, a GS skin would technically be a nodachi :P
Smartypants aside XD , that skin looks amazing.

I hate that some signs can be used and others can’t, things like Oóla is ok, names with " ä " is also ok but " ã " and " ç " aren’t.
I would to like to use ã and ç in some of my pets but I can’t, like in “Dragão” and “Caçador”.
Yeah, use 2 names lower the chances of have it taken, but far from guaranteed, GW1 you were required to have at least 2 word names and GW1 names was reserved to GW2 so plenty of “cool” names was taken.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, if you try the “cool” names, big chances that they are all taken, you won’t be able to make a “Legolas”, “Dark Knight”, “Wild Hunter” and so on.
Try to actually name your toon as it was a human, or norn and so on.
Among my 9 toons only 1 had that problem but I knew I would have, on my asura engineer I tried to make a reference to the GW1 asura Oola, and it was taken (of course) then I tried Oolah, also taken, then Ooga and finally Oogah.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Amulet and rings get in the WvW laurel merchant, Ring of Red Death + Crystalline Band + a zerker amulet will cost 70 laurels + 750 badges, for the earrings I suggest using guild commendations, you’ll need 24 commendations and 10g for Althea’s Ashes + Magister’s Field Journal.
The back piece is kinda expensive all options are about the same price nowadays.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
weird … in that case transmute again to the previous skin.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You can still upgrade to ascended with the new skin you added, what counts is the base item.
If you really want, you can’t undo it, but you can transmute again to the previous skin.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes to all.
If you have a sigil of fire on your shield, it will proc even using your grenades.
I use Sigil of Torment in my shield to proc with my nades.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
With spotter you get 7% more crit rate, and I’m not sure which runes you are using but ranger’s rune is great for the precision+ferocity+the bonus damage.
Also search for lvl 60 foods that gives precision, like the Minotaur Steak, it gives 60 precision and 50 ferocity and cost under 2s
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Eng is by far the best class to use a shield, both skills are good, even using kits a good eng can use a well timed knockback or a block.
