I just checked wiki: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Skin
Apparently I only forgot WvW skins, sorry, but still and your weapon skin isn’t there.
edit: I suggest to take a look here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gallery_of_weapon_skins , the list of all documented skins in the game.

All the rules about armors now will still apply later, weight restriction and cultural armors will still have the same restriction.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
While I do understand why the “2 legendary” people are complaining, I don’t see why they deserve a refund of any kind.
They aren’t losing anything besides a bit of prestige for players that only crafted 1 legendary.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You are mistaking something, or it is different skin name, or it is PvP.
In game there is absolutely no weapon or armor you buy as skin, you can acquire some skins by PVP, gem store and HoM.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The skin you can only find in PvP, but tomorrow you can unlock (if you don’t have already) the skin by equipping/salvaging the actual weapon.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
… you tell your dog to do something IRL and feels weird when he actually does.
(rangers will know what I mean ;D )

Well … in a zerker build, cavalier would switch a bit of precision for more toughness for survivability.
In a cleric build it can also help a bit, but the crit damage would be kinda wasted.
To be sincere, I would give it to some other class, if you have any. I have some cavalier trinkets in my warrior. Elementarist can also have use since some traits/skills offer guaranteed crit even w/o precision so the extra toughness would be interesting.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, the PvP skin will be available to PvE and the opposite too, you’ll be able to show ascended set and legendaries in PvP.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Kinda.
The skin you have in PvE will be the same to when you go to PvP, but there the skin will have no stats and the rune from the new PvP build UI is what will count.

The reason for the 64 character limit is simple:
64 bits and each bit indicates an active character slot.
GW1 had 32 limit. OSs when GW1 released were primarily 32bit.
I hope you are joking…..(sarcasm does not translate to forum posts very well).
This does not need to turn into a binary math class, but your OS or computer processor address line capability is NOT related to this issue in the least.
Very likely that he isn’t joking.
When an account is created a certain space is reserved in the Data Base and for the character slot info, Anet choose to only allocate 6 bits (2^6 = 64) as key to characters among the same account, if they added 1 more bit (2^7 = 128) would be 128 character per account and the HUGE majority of the players won’t use it so that space would be wasted.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Same, going for the Tooth of Frostfang.
You know what’s the worst part? I made my 1st legendary already. Howler it is. Gathered the mats and gold, bought precoursor on TP for 250 gold. And two hours after I dropped it from Mystic Forge, lost 20g on selling one back…
You got a prec from MF after you bought the same prec? How sad, I really feel bad for you …
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It actually looks cool, sounds cool, and your art is really well done.
+1 for sure.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, it will be ALL ascended gear from any source, fractal, laurel and guild commendation trinkets, armor and weapons from craft or drops, everything.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I doubt they will increase the space allocation to allow 80 characters per account.
What I recommend you to do is buy another account, that way you’ll be able to have 128 characters, you can even make 1 account only males and another females, you’ll have space for mule toons and so on.
EDIT: BTW guys, he said his goal to to have 1 toon of each class, race and gender, not level all of them to 80.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
May sound a bit arrogant but … the best way is playing the game.
Try to complete the starter areas, gather the nodes you find, try craft gear to your level, do some dungeons when you reach the level of each dungeon, do some WvW and you’ll be lvl 80 before you realize it.

Yes it is annoying and you do understand that there are tons of people who dont visit GW2 forums, yet alone the recruitment sections?
Lets be fair, im doing a wild guess but in every game, atleast 25% people from the game population visits forums only. Even i come here very rarely and i most certainly dont look at recruitment sections when i was guildless few months ago.
Probably much less than 25% come to the forums, but imo people that look in the forum are the ones that are worth to add to your guild, I found my current guild in the forums 4 years ago in the GW1 guru forum, and we never advertise in chat.
Im saying that if you will have problems advertising in cities due to people from different servers being there. Then WvW would be the most obvious place to advertise since you can show your message to everyone from your server, am i right?
Even I personally not liking it … yes, advertise in WvW would be best option.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So as far as i understood, even in the big cities you will be with people who arent from your own server, am i correct?
If that is so, then how is guild recruitment suppose to work? Will people specialy have to advertise by adding a server name next to the advertisement?
Correct, not right in the start since for now megaserver will only be applied in the less populated maps, that exclude initial maps and cities.
First of all, advertise guild in map chat is annoying, a better solution to your 1st issue is just stop advertising in chat and look for the guild section here in the forum and in the forum of your server.
Furthermore, are the newcommers gona select their first server based on WvW results from now on, since the megaserver system connects everyone from every server in PVE?
Who knows? New commers can choose based on server name, friends that already plays the game, join the unofficial RP servers, there are so many variables.
Also if recruitment in big cities will be very difficult, since you cant get your advertisement to most of the people on your own server then wont this cause massive advertisement issues in WvW?
Advertise in WvW wont change at all since megaservers won’t be applied there, also advertise in WvW maps is even more annoying.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I don’t see much use for a smoke field in a trap, it would only be used if something move over it and in that case go stealth would be too late anyway, if you are thinking in stealth stomp it wouldn’t work since traps isn’t activated by downed player.
Best thing I can imagine is combine with a bow and use the projectile finisher for blind.
A new skill like a mud terrain that apply blind and a smoke field would be nice, specially with a sword/wh set.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
At your point there is nothing much to make money, try just to save your money.
Save the materials you get, try to gather all the nodes possible on your way, change gear about every 10 or so levels, and wear up to green items, no need to spend on rares or better before lvl 80.
But if you want, you can try to run the champion train in Queensdale, you’ll get some champion bags, but only open those at lvl 80.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You can unlock the skin by wearing, salvaging or just right click and pick “unlock skin” or something like that.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The problem is that guilds is server bound, so there can have the same guild name and tag but from different servers. Allow access to the guild bank from any server may have issues with that.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It is so nice, can’t wait to see more songs.
EDIT: Now we have string, percussion and wind instruments, a good part is already covered for an orchestra.

(edited by Belzebu.3912)
That video was published when Anet revealed ranger as a class in the game, it showed the bonfire skill and the combo with the poison valley.
Needless to say that much have changed since then.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Thanks for reply! Are you Brazilian? xD
Yes, I am. ;D
So I can use it even after the update? The update will not influence anything in this build? I heard that the critical damage will not be the same
Critical damage will be reduced from every class, but in my opinion, rangers will be the least affected by that “nerf” since a good part of our damage come from our pet, and they don’t have increased critical damage.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Bom ver mais brasileiros aqui
Anyway … Yes, Brazil’s guide will still be valid, that build offer the best DPS + support a ranger can offer in a PvE/Dungeon party, there could be other builds with similar power, but I don’t think there are better ones.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
That is just a random parameter some elitists picked to be even more elitists.
AP proves nothing at all, I could get a lot of AP from PvP and suddenly try to join a dungeon run, I’ll have the required AP, but not the experience expected.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
If you are a foreign like me, then it is ok, we all need to start somewhere, I used to write like you long ago, but search for some english classes, you need it …
What I understood is that you want any skin be available to all 3 armor weights.
I don’t particularly like that idea, that would remove the “uniqueness” of the classes.
Also there is already an item in the gem story that allow you to use a head gear from any armor weight, and that seems enough imo.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
yeah i went for overkill tbh but WvW doesnt make you more gold than those champfarmers/orrchainfarmers so i was trying to compare to people who actually farm for the legendaries and then still complain that they cant get whats supposed to be the hardcore endgame skin,
lets say you farm events for 2 hours a day and 4 hours per day on a weekend youll get 180g per week, in just 13 weeks youll get the gold for a legendary at 10g per hour, i dont consider that “hardcore” endgame tbh
Oh, looking that way, sure I agree.
But in the long run WvW can make a good amount of gold, but far from be as effective as proper farm.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
5 hours per day, Nearly have my THIRD legendary so divide that by 3 gives you 1 hour and 40 mins per day then youve gotta exclude all the afk time and wvw’ing i do, oh and yeah i mainly do wvw
You can’t exclude the WvW time, I personally get a good amount of gold/materials there.
Also game time rise your gold exponentially, if you play 2 hours a day you don’t make 1/6 of the gold of someone who plays 12 hours a day. If you play 5 hours a days you’ll be making WAY more than 5x of what a player that plays 1 hour a day makes.

This still leaves engineers and elementalists at disadvantage when we compare it to e.g. warriors who will be able to have 4 sigils equipped at once.
But eles and engineers have advantage on weapon swap sigil, so it kinda balance out.
Um… the quote says specifically that you’ll lose the stack when you un-equip the sigil… it doesn’t say, “un-equip the weapon”. Now this is where the vagueness comes in. Does “un-equip a sigil” refer to just swapping the weapon or does it mean un-equiping the entire weapon, i.e… removing it from the box ?
Again, you are not un-equipping the sigil, you are swaping the sigil, you still have it, just in another slot.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Here we go again …
You won’t lose the stack on weapon swap, you’ll lose when you un-equip the weapon.
What people do nowadays is have a weapon in the inventory with a kill stack sigil, use it until he has full stack, then equip another weapon with different sigil.

I play since day 1, I was lucky enough to get 2 black lions tickets and get about 150g from those skins (my precursor back then cost me 400g) , I do about 3~4 world bosses daily (this takes about 20~30 minutes) and after several months it is tons of ectos.
Now I have 8 lvl 80’s but about when I made my legendary I had 5 lvl 80’s, I used gw2nodes.com to see the best spot to get ori/anc and got them daily with my toons (that takes about 10~15 minutes among all my toons).
Weekends I run a couple dungeons and guild missions, a bit of WvW sometimes and exploring the world to level my alts (weekends I have more time so I could spend about 4~5 hours a day).
I never spent much gold in things like dyes, skins, gearing alts, buying foods, so I saved a lot of gold, and I never sold my craft materials.
After about 1 year and a few months of all that, I crafted my legendary.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Oh, in that case you won’t see much improvement in the FPS, you may improve a bit the image quality, but will still feel the game a bit slow.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
In my opinion, getting a legendary should not:
1) Be locked behind farming/RNG.
2) Feel like a grind
3) Be impossible to accomplish
1 – I agree with RNG, but farming is relative
2 – Grind is also relative
3 – well … it is possible, so we don’t need to worry about this one
A legendary should:
1) Show that a player is skilled and have more bragging rights besides I have no life.
2) Take time, but not feel like you have to give up a normal life to achieve one.
3) Be obtainable, but not given freely.
1 – Totally agree
2 – This already is like that, I play about 2 hours a day and I hate farming, still I made my legendary (I bought the precursor from TP)
3 – Also totally agree
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
@Belzebu Of course the Moa chick was just an example, and the Legendary should be much harder. But it was given as an example for a better direction. Imagine a massive quest taking up to two years to get? But still on a non luck path. That would not only keep players on GW2 but find a fulling adventure.
I just loved the Black Moa Cick adventure and well yes Belzebu, your thoughts about making a black moa like adventure for a precursor is brilliant!
I know that it was just an example
, the think is, there is no way a scavenger hunt make you take a long time to complete without time gating, and that sounds just cheap IMO. The black moa chick for example could be done in hours if you REALLY wanted, I can’t imagine a way of make it so hard that it would take 6 months, for example, to complete without using time gates.
I think that the current Legendary mechanic is good enough, makes you complete all the maps, do a bit of WvW, do some dungeons, learn about the Mystic Forge, requires a bit of farm, but the possibility of just buy from TP and the RNG of the precursor kills it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I don’t know which video card you had to make a comparison and also which CPU you have, but you’ll probably be able to rise your setting, even though GW2 is more CPU dependent than GPU.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The black moa chick was fun and not particularly hard, obtain a Legendary that way would make it even less Legendary than it is now.
The only thing that should be removed is allow Legendaries to be bought from TP, and make precursor be like the black moa chick quest from GW1, besides the current ways of obtaining a precursor.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Or if you need 250 for a Legendary, unless they are planning on changing that as well?
They already said that the gift will change to need only 100 dyes.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
If the torment shields are bound to you already, then won’t be able to sell, otherwise nothing will change.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
They are only removing from the loot table, nothing else will change.
You can use, buy, sell just like you can nowadays.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, your account will bound to that server, so all your toons will be on that server.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Nope, no sign of the vendor so far.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
In the character selection screen you have the option to change server, if you just guest to another it will be free, to move completely you’ll need to spend gems.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It is automatic, when you create a toon you’ll get the item by mail.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
MH Axe is NOT an attrition weapon. It’s just… awful.
Awful against 1 target, 1v2 it gets better than sword imo, and vs 3+ is it an ok weapon.
Most of us know that rangers are really good duelists/soloers, but a big part of the game rely in team/group gameplay and that is where rangers start to lose its shine.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
If you can’t play a power ranger I get that 100%.
That is why I said “used to run”, I got myself a full zerker asc set, zerker/valk asc trinkets and zerker/sin asc weapons, but most of the time I do PvE and occasional roaming, I do really well in WvW, but I feel that my cond build was more effective, but unfortunately just at roaming it is better, my power build is better at everything else.
Oh yeah, I actually never tried to run “protect me” in my bar, I even tried to change a bit my build from 20/25/0/25/0 to 30/25/0/15/0 to try a signet build, I didn’t like it, and forgot to try the shout, I’ll give it a try for sure.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Are they going to remove the chances of BLC Key as reward and make the map completion 100% Trans Charges only reward?
Yes or No.
No.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I used to run in WvW as a trapper, and camps was freaking fast.
Bonfire + poison trap + spike trap + sigil of geomancy + entangle + drake = an insane amount of spike AoE condition and decent raw damage.
I used to handle humans really well, my build was a mix of trap + regen, I usually never lost at 1v1 but I have to say that if the target want to run away I couldn’t do much about it.
Most thieves wasn’t an issue, I could tank a couple backstabs/heartseekers after that the WH#4 to track the thief you could trow the traps where the “flock” is going and many times it was very effective.
Power build have some advantages at roaming, but cond bunker builds are superior in most cases.
