Yeah, people ask for this very often, no idea if those will be available.
The raven hood is so awesome.

Hello and welcome to GW2.
Most important thing, try to join a guild, that changes the game completely, makes easier to find people to play with, ask questions, guild activities and so on.
After that you’ll probably find more things to do and goals.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I do not believe this fix is regarding weapon swapping, which is what it sounds like you guys are talking about.
More specifically, if has to do with completely unequipping a weapon, and then equipping a new one instead (as some of us single weapon wielders felt sort of forced to do).
Could be wrong though. Guess we’ll see when the patch goes live
I am talking about people completely unequipping a weapon and still maintain the stack, that imo was a bug. Swap a weapon and keep the stack is 100% fine for me, actually that is the least I would expect.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Being able to keep the stacks after swapping out the weapon is gimmicky. I’m glad they are removing that.
Totally agree.
Keep the stacks after removing the weapon was always a bug imo, those sigils was supposed to make the player decide between get more stats but after cap be useless sigil or have less stats but more utility 100% of the time.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Bonus is just from the weapon you are currently wielding.
Sigil works individually on each set, if you have a GS and a Hammer and you want to cause bleed on crit on both, you need the sigil of earth on both weapons.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It is likely to be an underwater gear, check your breather and underwater weapons, people usually forget to check those.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I also read the 3 books.
Ghosts of Ascalon have the best story of the 3, but the least GW2 facts/lore among them.
Edge of Destiny is filled of lore, talk about the Destiny’s Edge that we see a lot in game among other NPCs we see in game.
Sea of Sorrows … this book is very slow paced, but if you like pirate/nautical story then you’ll love it because 99% of the book is at the sea. But at least the last chapters of the book is interesting.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I agree with your suggestion and I was only pointing that the Anet started to try to make the orders meaningful.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Devs are trying to make that decision mean something.
In the last Living Story, you could get buffs from 3 NPCs (one of each order) and if you were from the same order as the NPC you would get a discount for the buff.
Also the respawn point depended on which order you picked, Bloodtide for OoW, Timberline for Priory, Gendarran for Vigil.
Hopefully devs will make more interesting stuff to make the orders more meaningful.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I have a full set of ascended gear and a legendary, mostly not because it would offer a significant difference (I’m a power ranger build with axe, I’m FAR from trying to be meta) but because I wanted something to look forward in game.
After that I repeat, ascended gear barely gives an advantage, trinkets is what gives the biggest boost and those are VERY easy to get (laurels, fractals, commendation) just get as many as you want.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I personally loved my cond ranger build, but I usually play in PvE … so yeah, power or get out.
Hopefully after the update it will be easier to change traits from PvE to WvW, so I’ll use my cond set again.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
By my understanding, ferocity was never intended to be a “solution” but a “tool”.
With this change, crit. damage was normalized to be like any other stat and offer a door for future updates.
I wear asc zerker set, asc zerk+valk rinkets and zerker + sin asc weapons, and I’m not even mad
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
@nike please be real… while ppl have normal attack 2-3k, we are critting 2k… so now we will crit less than warriors normal att dmg… and still they think pet can replace – 20% splitted dmg.. what is more than a funny… what is HILARIOUS…
The multiplier is being reduced across all classes, see if you follow me:
- Now
Ranger: 500 damage + 80% multiplier = 900 damage
Others: 800 damage + 80% multiplier = 1440 damage
- After
Ranger: 500 damage + 70% multiplier = 850 damage (-50 damage)
Others: 800 damage + 70% multiplier = 1360 damage (-80 damage)
That mean weaker classes like rangers will be less punished.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
wut?? 46%? wut? On full set you now have 71%, on celestial 61%, after patch you’ll have 50 % (745 minor points) on zerk and 33% (500 points) on celestial. http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/ type it here and see it
I’m not counting traits or foods.
EDIT: I ended counting trinkets with exotic … my bad.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
Yeah, the majority of the players use exotic, and the few that use ascended have a really small advantage, so you are more than fine with just exotic.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes you can re-use, you’ll apply the skin of a backpiece into another backpiece and “merging” both to have the skin of one and the stats of other.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I currently run a 20/25/0/25/0 build and reading this traits … I’m not really tempted to change it.
Survival of the fittest can be kinda useful in WvW with mud terrain and LR + the new Keen Edge trait, but still kinda meh.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, you are following the right order.
Weapons > Legs > Head > Coat > Rest
If you don’t have the mats then make the “rest” 1st and then the coat.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So many people bad at math and raging without knowing anything.
Ascended armor gives 235 points in their minor stats, now we know that 15 ferocity = 1% crit damage, so 235/15 = 15.6, currently we get 16% crit damage with asc armor.
Ascended trinkets gives in total 268 points as minor bonus, 268/15 = 17.8, currently we can get 20% crit damage.
Ascended weapon gives 128 points in the minor stats, 128/15 = 8.53, currently we get 10%
Resuming:
After the update we can get 235 + 268 + 128 = 631 ferocity = 42% crit damage
Before the update we can get 16 + 20 + 10 = 46% crit damage
That is a difference of 4% crit damage from ascended gear … and you guys are saying it is a “HUGE nerf” ?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Just wait until 80 when you’ll need to grind out ascended in order to be on an equal footing with other players. Or heaven forbid, grinding out a legendary.
False.
Ascended is not only a tiny bit better than an exotic, but the minority of the player base use ascended armor/weapon.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Ive head people state that you get more bonus exp for killing an add that was alive for longer, does that mean an add that’s alive longer since it spawned? Or since it entered combat to attack you?
Since it spawned.
The longer the mob is in the map without being killed, the higher is the bonus exp (till a limit of course).
EDIT: here you can read “An exploration bonus is earned based on how long a creature has been alive in the world”
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Crafting gives a lot of exp, harvesting also gives exp, exploring (PoI, Vista, WPs) all gives exp, most hearts have an option to complete without the need of killing a single mob.
I think the problem is that you are used to other MMOs where you level by killing and doing the traditional quests that involves killing more mobs.
You can also go to WvW, join a zerg and get more exp, and specially with the next WvW season, there is a lot of achievements you can get and that end giving even more exp.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
What is “spotter”? It’s not a skill.
It is a trait : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Spotter
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
See if this link is of help: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gallery_of_guild_emblems
I saw somewhere those emblems in even higher res, but at work this is the best I can give.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
For now, when you rank up you still get boxes and there you’ll find the skins.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Nah, it’s not going to be an April Fool’s joke. All of their previous jokes where released on April, 1, not sooner. You could also recognize their prank if you paid some attention, like with the Commando class.
Exactly.
In GW1, they usually released patch notes with ridiculous stuff, but always on April 1st.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Depends on luck, in average buy from TP is cheaper than using the mystic forge.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
“Abril” is April in Portuguese, GW2 BR confirmed.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
What I do is attach 1 file, press preview and then attach another and so on.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Good reminder, you’ll be introduced to the orders at lvl 20 and only at lvl 29 you’ll make your final decision, before that you’ll only get the feel of how the missions of each order are.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, there is no way back, but the personal story steps that are specific for the order you pick is only from lvl 30 to 60 and among them most aren’t specific to the order but to the race of your character.
If your concern is about gear, you can transfer skin from a character to other, so if you have a toon in Order of Whispers and other in the Vigil, you’ll be able to combine both skins as you want (providing enough transmutation stones/crystal).
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
1. What happen with the cloth of a Norn when he transform into a spirit form ? ( Bear, Wolf, etc ) . They magically disapear and come back after the transformation ? They shatter like an old Werewolf movie ?
It is covered by the spirit form
“Any clothing or armor worn by the norn is covered by the were-form” link
2. Does the asura’s Golem of each university ’’look’’ the same or is there major difference ? If yes, which difference ?
Golems are kinda like cars, each builder makes it differently, some golems are more popular and usually asuras among the same college have similar tastes and end building/getting golems are look similar to each other.
5- How many ’’paralel’’ plane there is ? I know there is the Mist and the Realm of Abaddon ( now Kormir ) and Grenth, but I don’t know if each god have their plane and if there is more plane with Etheral Demon and vampiric Bunnies. ( I didnt play enough of GW1 ‘’endgame ’’ to know it, I’ve only done the missions. )
From Lore each god was supposed to have their realm, but we only know Domain of Anguish (Abaddon), Fissures of Woe (Balthazar), Underworld (Grenth) and The Mists is another thing entirely.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Trahearne is the Pact’s general … what else you guys expected? A good military strategy?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I would like some new beard options for norns, since usually helmets hide your hair anyway.
The new female hairs are really good.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Devs actually respond a lot of posts, maybe just not the ones you want.
I’m usually here at my work time, where I can’t play but since I’m in the IT I have full access to the internet.
Be active (not necessarily posting, just read is enough) in the forums gives a few advantages about next updates and then you can try to speculate some items in the TP and make a good profit or at least just be prepared (karma boosters and Belongings are good examples).
In general learn stuff and help others is a good feeling.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
What Beldin said, just open a support ticket and it is very likely that the Anet will be able to change your item for the offensive or defensive type (so you can wear both) or give your laurels back.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Miniature weapons would be awesome.
The quaggan backpacks and plush griffon would sell like water.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I’m not really understanding what is your doubt.
Suggestion topics now should be made in the same sub-forum as the subject, for example, a suggestion about how a dungeon should be, need to be posted in the Dungeon forum.
About continue a closed subject, depends of why the subject was closed.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It would be fantastic and probably would rise the sell of GW1 copies, but I doubt that the money would make from that would cover the cost of developing new feature/content for GW1.
I would LOVE to use my ranger and heroes again in a new GW1 mission.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, when you change the color you’ll be able to pick a new stat once.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You can only use it once, but later you can use transmutation stone/crystal to add the skin in other sets if you want.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Are you building for PvE or WvW?
In PvE condition damage doesn’t work well because when multiple players are attacking the same mob the condition damage keep getting removed, so if 1~2 players are causing cond damage or 50 players are, it barely makes any difference.
In WvW condition damage works better because you are usually in 2 situations:
- in a zerg, so you have many targets to spread your conditions
- roaming, if you are fighting alone 100% of your condition damage is used.
Knowing this, if your build focus in cond damage go for Rampager gear, the precision is gives also helps with skills and sigils that cause conditions of crit.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, the 4 CDI topics at the same time wasn’t a good idea, Anet should use the CDI ranger topic as a brainstorm and create a new CDI, but this time listing the ideas that can be worked from the beginning.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
First check this topic: New Player Outreach- Resources/Events/FAQs
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
After about 1 year after game launch I got gold enough to buy the precursor from TP (Tooth of Frostfang) and along this 1 year I had a lot of material stored, then I crafted the clovers and getting some T6 from the fails.
Then I had to grind the HotW a bit for the koda gifts, and some World Bosses for ectos and done, I got my Frostfang.

You really gave your credit card info after knowing for sure that you clicked in a phishing link? You are trolling, right? Please tell me you are trolling.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Change password will be a step of the process for sure, but I agree that check your PC for keyloggers, viruses, etc … is the best start.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I love how OP is asking for the quickest way to level and yet several posters in here are trying to tell him not to level quickly /boggle
Because it is a common mistake some new players get into, try to level as fast as you can makes you miss A LOT of the game to reach something that doesn’t really exist (AKA, End Game).
EDIT: Doesn’t exist in the traditional way.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I clicked on the link earlier. Wat do I do now?
I suggest changing your password, using the “My account” link, in the top right corner of this page.
