Anet didn’t make a Portuguese version that would include 2 bigger markets (Portugal and Brazil) , yet you don’t hear much complain.
Germany and French had a very established community in the GW1, besides there are many more countries in the World that speak those languages than Polish, so the investment would be profitable.

Lore-wise that is explained by the Norns going in places outside the Far Shiverpeaks after the awakening of Jormag.
In the book Ghosts of Ascalon a tanned Norn is mentioned since he spend a good time sailing, I’m sure there are Norns that traveled farther and for more time to the point that darker skin is plausible.

In a game I used to play there were people whos whole and entire job was to be on the forums to communicate with players. Fix their problems, answer their questions, read their feedback, etc etc.
That is the role of a Community Manager (sadly the lowest rank in the gaming career), I think we have a CM here, but usually that person doesn’t work direct with the game so they only do the “Crowd Control” on the forums.
What we really need in the CDI is a dev or someone close to them to point how and what we can suggest to improve our class, like all those pet AI suggestions are just useless and waste of time, then Allie wrote about ranger need to be a sustain damage class and not a burst but not much more explanation on how they intend to make it a viable playstile outside duels.

Yeah, that is why it is a common PoI to miss, the access is in Bloodtide but the PoI itself isn’t located there so the map counter won’t indicate.

For Kryta it may be Chantry of Secrets in Bloodtide Coast.
For Maguuma jungle there is a laboratory in the southeast area of Metrica Province only accessible from an Asura gate, and that gate is only available after an event, the 2nd area I’m not sure what could be.
Try to check the wiki the areas you need like Maguuma Jungle open all the maps and check the areas that have no vista/poi or heart, like Golemagical Institute in Metrica Province

Specific Game Mode

Giving pets a life bar of 20 health, decreasing 1-3 of them each time they are attacked depending on how much they are hit in a period of time.Goal Of Proposal
Alternating pet health system, preventing them to die from random 1 hit KO area skills.Proposal Functionality
Pets will have their health bar divided by 20. While in combat, game will check how much total damage (Condition+Direct) they got in a time period, lets say one second.
If it is too low, lets say below 500, pet won’t lose health.
If it is low, lets say 500-2500, pet will lose 1 health point.
If it is medium, lets say 2500-7500, pet will lose 2 health points.
If it is high, in this case it should be any damage 7500+, pet will lose 3 health points.So pets can lose maximum of 3/20 of their health per second. Healing also scales similar to this, total healing done on pet for the period will be checked and will increase it’s life bar.
Numbers may change and I’m sure A-Net will balance it out to reward players that still try to protect their pet from harm, and those who don’t care because they won’t die in 2 seconds will eventually have their pet dead.
Associated Risks
Pets may become really dangerous in 1v1 situations.
A new mechanic may confuse people, especially if it becomes something complicated.
Limiting damage done on pet per second could be a better fix.
If not done right, we may have just another passive way to play. (Pet won’t have any risk of death)
This doesn’t really fix the problem with unreliable pet AI.
That is a really creative way to rise the per survivability in high AoE/burst situations that doesn’t involve AI fix, I really liked that idea.

I also tried to play with sword and I failed miserably, you need to have a target selected to attack, otherwise will be flying all around the field.
I’m using a 20/25/0/25/0 build with axe in main hand for both sets (yeah I know “worst DPS weapon”, but I don’t care) and WH + axe as off hand weapons, the only negative point I see with axe main hand is in 1v1 situations but be able to have warhorn and an axe as off hand compensate that issue IMO, since you can use WH #4, switch to axe, use axe #4 and then axe #5, that will be a really good DPS and if you have RaO your pet will have 25 stacks of might for a good while, and all that also interrupt your target and cause vulnerability and give retaliation and reflect projectiles all at the same time.

I almost sure that the lightning strike hit everyone in the map, or at least in an area.
You probably are just near people that are using it constantly, for example, 4 players are near your, 1 of them use lightning and the other 3 have the Stability skill (the skill #6) so they also get the lighting, so in a small time frame you may get hit by 4 lighting strikes.

If you want high skill cap, you can go and play the class now, there are people out there who can make the class work. It’s just not for us common folk.
High skilled players can make ranger work, a ranger played by a high skilled player is as effective as an average warrior, guardian and so on.

EDIT: Pets wont be fixed, so suggest that is pointless, we need to figure out ways to not be punished for that problem, ways of our class mechanic not be totally disabled when the pet is dead and so on.

In PvP/WvW roaming, a spirit build focus on condition damage.
In PvE you usually only bring frost spirit to rise the direct damage and maybe the stone spirit so a power build is the standard here.

1. If i import my character from GW1 will he level 80 since I was level 20 there or will he be a 20 when he is imported.
You can’t import characters, you just link the account, nothing else.
2. Will finishing the story mode for my character be enough to get me to lvl 80?
It will, you’ll probably be lvl 80 way before you finish the Personal Story.
3. How do i get trait points. I found the skill guys but cant figure out the trait points.
You get your 1st trait at lvl 11 and after that 1 trait per level.
4. Where is the storage npc? Is there a storage npc?
In all Major cities, some maps and in the WvW maps you’ll find a NPC with an icon that looks like a bag, that is the bank NPC.

Every other CDI that is currently going on are having dev answers pointing the best ideas, guiding the posters to what ideas can be worked on, and we can feel that they are paying attention.
Here we got a couple excuses and only 1 idea to work with (the change the stats in the traits instead of change the traits to different lines) and today we just got no feedback at all.
Rangers always felt neglected and this CDI isn’t helping that feeling at all.

All rewards in this game are based around loot. But we never have any use for the loot. Gear progression is capped and the best skins are specifically farmed for/purchased

Welcome to GW2 and yes, this is an amazing MMO, obviously it has some flaws like any other thing in the world, but the positive features easily overshadow them.

We’re seeing that power creep is a big problem in the game right now, so bringing the Ranger up to snuff would only exacerbate that. When we do balance patches, we like to look at every class and where they are at so we can balance appropriately throughout.
Of course, it can be hard to account for certain things when doing these patches, which is why we’re trying to do the patches less frequently so we can properly gauge what needs to be done (that’s not to say that we won’t hotfix any major issues that arise).
So resuming, the other classes are a bit overpowered and will be tuned down in the future and rangers are kinda in the right spot, and for that reason rangers damage won’t be tuned up.
We’ll only try to fix some issues like pet mechanic and some trait disparities, but until the other classes don’t get tuned down the rangers will be at the bottom of the “damage creep”.

Well, you can do the LS at almost any level, it doesn’t mean that you’ll be effective at any level.
Last LS a level 15 could join the Marionette, get achieves there but you would be a dead weight most of the time.

Depends of your personal taste too, thief is very good at PvP but personally I don’t like.
In dungeons thief isn’t that good, they are used in some dungeons to provide stealth to run pass some parts more easily, but in general they are just raw DPS, warriors/guardians/ele/mesmers provide more tools for the party.
I have all classes at lvl 80, and went for something similar to your idea, but this is how I went:
WvW: Engineer
PvP: necro and warrior
PvE: I use my ranger for almost everything and sometimes my guardian for dungeons
rest of my toons I don’t use much besides node farm :P

For PvP I like necro (condition) and warrior (hammer/bow)
For Guild Missions / Open World, engineer can be a good idea, grenades is awesome at both single damage and AoE and you can stay safe at 1500 range.
hardcore PvE get a warrior for sure, ele to provide fiery greatsowrd and might stacks and a bit of heal is usefull, guardians is also a sure bet for dungeons.

First of all, people need to know the lore and how a certain race fits into the storyline before they just say CENTAUR cuz dat wood be kewl!! But all of the centaurs are evil so that wouldnt make sense. no centaurs, no koda, no largos, no skrit. just stahp.

First of all there are centaur that lived in Elona that were friendly/tolerant to humans, so they aren’t “evil”, also search for Ventari …
Secondly, you talk about look at the lore before suggesting races and you suggest “Stone Dwarves” as playable race … ? The race that we only know 1 alive and the devs stated that there are so few still alive, if any, that they wouldn’t appear in the story, imagine be a playable race.

Largos are great for sure, but I played GW1 and I prefer the Tengu for nostalgia sake.

Well, I guess most people giving dumb comments like “you can get it on an other location bla” are casual players or just ppl, dont doing that much stuff.
Are you so hardcore that spend about 40 more seconds to go in any other city instead of the Vigil Keep to change traits would compromise your gameplay performance?
Players that are giving those answer are just trying to state the obvious or just showing a very simple solution to a problem that barely exist.

Karma was getting too trivial, I’m a casual player buy I play regularly, and my guild used to make a “karma party” every end of the month where all karma boosters possible was available, every month I spent around 7m (probably more) karma in orrian boxes, and I made no efforts at all during the month to farm karma, all that was only from daily/monthly + drops from playing the game in general.
Maybe 90% nerf was a bit too much, but it should be nerfed for sure.

I think the rubble piles reset from Overflow and Main servers, last night I got 18/30 locations but had 27 heirlooms.
