So…. two+ years without any needed changes and fixes in WvW???
While we’re taking losses every single day in WvW in lagging and servers without adequate populations?

In reality, many humans will move on rather than continue to play the one part of the game that should be the most polished. My friends did – they are now paying for the privilege of not being told “next year” . (five months from now or more…)

In fairness to Smooth Penguin… it is any easy fail to make as Devon never actually said the end of which year… smoke screens are smoke screens for a reason, helps to dodge dem bullets more successfully!

haha I love these old threads.

I kind of feel bad for the Dev’s that made the posts. I know they wanted to do what they said, but had been ordered otherwise probably.

In any case, one day, one year there will be:
Feasible achievements in WvW
Raid UI for the Squad + Commander abilities help
Help for population balance (so many suggestions have been made no progress was done).

There has been progress.. I am sure I read somewhere that the WvW team finally worked out how to empty the trashcan , there back office is now re-primed and ready to dump the next load into the ether…

Nothing has changed.. WvW is still a skill lagfest and now even#1 fails to land… forget heals, forget elite skills, forget anything remotely fun when there are decent sized fights.. and now you can be stood in spawn and rubber band/skill lag, miles from the action.
EotM was also bad at times these past 2 days and I have had some issues on the few busy maps there are left in the game..
So where are these improvements you speak of ANET?

Free transfers only widened gaps between servers as everyone stacked the most likely to win servers. My own server picked up about 10ppl and lost about 100+ simply because my server had a less likely hood of winning compared to the server that was 1 rank higher than us.

I think you have missed the point .. server transfers, free or not are not angles at ANET’s sentiment or lack of for servers, its motivated purely on making money or saving money.. transfers no matter what will make them money. If your playing the game on a ghost town then its unlikely your ingame experience is going to tempt you to spend coin in the cash shop, so its better to place the carrots and let us feed again.

Sure servers get stacked and server get pillaged.. and then the big megaserver announcement is dropped as an aftershock.. by moving the players out of empty servers and pulling a mass server change it has allowed them to avoid the “we need to merge servers as we have too many now in relation to the population balances that the game needs to stay health” .. which directly and indirectly hurts their gems sales as fewer players log in for any period of time.

So as much as it is poor population management .. our interests and feelings are only important when they can have an adverse effect on their business model.. afterall GW2 is a business product it’s not something that’s put out there for the love.

After the latest season/tournament concludes I am sure the servers will see movement once more as players ultimately like to hive around where the chances for loot, achievement, challenge are higher.. and by then xfers will be at cost once more.. rinse repeat the cycle, throw in some temporary content and what you get is periodic spikes in the gem sale books that help to smooth out the gold coffers over a longer period of time.

Do the majority of us enjoy it.. doubtfall, but then no one has forced anyone to xfer… but what’s the alternative apart from lingering on a dead server, logging in less and eventually logging of for good.. which only serves to widen the issue.

There are no wvw changes for megaserver.

Really.. cos the way I read their latest announcements there is changes afoot, all they have come out to say is that WvW wont be turned into that faceless EotM rubbish as they know the community values server pride a bit more than they expected.

If nothing was changing then they would have no need to drip feed the information to us.. something is going to change, how much and how significant we don’t know and wont know until a time of their choosing.

BTW let’s face it, megaserver exists from the beginning… It was called overflow…
The only difference will be that now your main map will be also an overflow, but without a name “overflow”…
So megaserver is only marketing slogan, nothing more. Maybe just slightly better rules to gather people together.
I suppose that rules existing in overflow will be just copied to megaserver. After all, these numbers( “excellent results table”) were taken from somewhere, likely from overflows…

PR exercise to avoid actually saying we have too many empty servers and need to close/merge them.. easier to say lets put it all together in a big pot call it a new name, but allow your account to still be tagged to a historical server name.. simples really.

Many moons ago it was requested that ANET face up to tough decisions and merge servers to avoid this kind of scenario.. now though all I can picture is the endless map drama incoming across PvE maps . As for WvWvW… eek I fear for the effects this might have when the news gets announced sometime soon.
Like others have said I prefer to avoid EotM as to me it lacks identity and immersion, sure WvW has pretty much lost all that was tactical before the zergwars began but it still has some decent server pride and PvP style rivalry. If it is forced down the faceless random route that is EotM then I wouldn’t be surprised if many take a jump off the wall and go find their fun fix elsewhere.

Add to that I am pretty sure other MMO’s have tried mega server ideas and performance didn’t improve quiet how they thought it would.

For now though I guess we will all just have to wait and see what happens next.

It doesn’t matter who’s got the best players. It’s who’s got the best coverage. Being able to have full EB 24/7 and all borderlands maybe 20/7 is what wins WvW.

It’s not called Coverage Wars for nothing. PvD in the middle of the night when the enemies are not playing is really difficult I hear.

So I guess congratz to Gandara for having a massive population round the clock. Enjoy your 300+ queue at EU prime.

Where are these 300+ queues you dream of.. I play prime most nights and the worst I have had was reset night which saw me stuck at about 110.. add to the fact that early days will see all servers have an influx of players getting their achievements done.. it soon drops down.. last night was sitting at around 60-90 all prime and by the end of the week it will likely be less.. and I am talking about EB specifically, other borders are reducing by the day already.
We get it Piken aren’t really in the match up so you feel a little kitten.. try playing on my old server day after day praying to actually see a queue on at least one map to feel your in a crowd

Its a pvp area and you want to get pvp rewards, so do some pvp. Its also way more fun when you have to fight yourself through the jp. I see so many people not even defending themselves, which is so sad because the jp offers a pretty unique and awesome pvp experience.

Agree… and as a bonus you actually get to experience seeing all your skills landing and cooldowns realistically being applied…
I took a trip into OS last night, first time in a whiles and immediately got ganked by 3 FSP players.. no issues WP and went back for more.. this time I knew what was coming and sure I lost but heck it was so much more fun than running around EB constantly spamming #1 and hope something happens before the sun comes back over the hills…

Guys, farming aetherblades is more important than this WVW thing you speak of.

Ahhhh but when farming Atherblades you actually need to be at the keyboard at least once every 15 secs …… in WvWvW you can put any #skill on auto attack go make coffee, do laundry, make a phone call, send a dozen tweets, go fill the car up, come back wash car, take a shower and then return to the game just in time to see that #skill you put on auto attack finally land… unfortunately at the same time you suddenly see your health drop from full to completely wasted .. then rinse repeat whilst waiting for WP to activate.

So actually from RL perspective farming Atherblades is far less important.

I had a whisper from them just yesterday, in the middle of group guild RP commemorating our fallen in LA. It was really annoying. At least I haven’t found a limit on the number of blocked accounts yet.

It does always seem to be the same gold seller company. Maybe ANet/NCSoft could do some sort of targeted action against them?

This is just another smoke screen thread like the CDI stuff.. they know the issues are there and have always been there… everyone is getting the same skill lag on all maps .. just own up to the issue ANET.. ooh and make a statement on the state of the game sometime soon like why the goldspammers are rife again, the plethora of cheats and hacks are left to run wild… this is just one big mess now..

Boss – Just do what we do with all the other WvW issues and CDI’s – put a red sticky out to ask for info.. it will keep them busy , then just keep saying we might have spotted something, then put another red sticky out saying its gunna take some more time.. eventually they will find something else to cry about

Boss -Grr how many times I gotta tell ya – Just spam #1 and it will all be fine

Just plain useless…. you don’t even need to be anywhere near large fight actions anymore to be hit with 10-45 sec skill lags .. its all over maps.. add the hacker/exploiters running wild into the mix and what we have is a real soup bowl of disappointment.

Welcome back all to skill lag wars. A more shoddy WvW experience there isn’t to be had …. GG ANET.

Queues I can live with, but if players are going have to spend 1-2 hrs in queues then the least you could of done was to increase your bandwidth sufficiently to make the experience once they get in at least bearable – right now its unplayable and a complete mess!

Guess someone cant be bothered to explore maps properly.

Why would you want the locations of these nodes.. is there a more sinister reason behind the need, isn’t the node grab hack program up to date enough so needs some location tweaks…. ANET really needs to start shuffling node locations much more randomly than they do currently, make players actually do what’s meant to be done.. go find things on maps not empower the easymode factions.

No, some of us have to manage our time with things such as jobs, schooling, and other responsibilities and do not have the time to memorize node locations nor the time to 100% the map all over again every time the rich veins change.

Also, this post was made out of having trouble finding them, not lack of interest in looking. If you aren’t going to be bothered with helping, then do everyone a favor and don’t be bothered with posting either. Thanks.

And I do exactly the same.. 2 kids and just me so please don’t even try to play the tears on the pillow tactic…. your OP was all about not wanting to bother about locating them because you flat out said please tell you where they are… so no I stand by what I said.. ANET needs to fully randomise node locations then maybe Bots and Hackers will have a much harder time and players seeking easymode to crafting will have to go do what others have to find the time to do.

Well so far I haven’t noticed that queues are all that arduous. The most a few guildies and I have had to wait so far is about 15-30 minutes during primetime.

The only map that’s stacked heavier is Eternal, which is to be expected anyway, but coverage across all maps is pretty decent all round during prime.. as for off-prime their is still some decent numbers/activity and I have seen a few small queues around lunch time – I am sure when the tournament hots up those queues will increase for sure, but the alternative was sitting on UW having the motivation sucked right out of us day after day, night after night. I am all for having fun in WvW and often we run as a small guild unit, but every corner seemed to present a 10-15+ zerg each time we ventured out of spawn.. if we could even get out of spawn last time….

Lower Tiers, how are the transfers?

All I know is the bandwagon players who jump just for a new season are really not that good anyways, they need numbers to win which is why they are jumping. The people that jump servers for seasons have zero integrity or else they would stay on their home world and do their own work to make it a good server. Honestly, I would not want those types of folks on my server, as soon as the season ends they will leave and try to take more people with them than they came with.

There is absolutely no reason to be “loyal” to a server. None… zip. The us/them team concept in GW2 is a false dichotomy. If a player isn’t having fun on their server or would have more fun somewhere else, they should move. Staying put and having less fun is just silly. This is a GAME and we play this GAME to have FUN.

Save words like integrity for the important things in life such as family and friends. Oh and before we do some false equivalency between out of game friend loyalty and in-game friend loyalty, we are ALL GW2 players and we can find friends on any server as well as remain friends with players on the servers we leave. If anything a person opens themselves up to making more friends and having a more enjoyable game experience by migrating frequently.

First, I am not talking about those that actually jump servers because they do not get along with others, or whatever, I am strictly those that jump to get a better reward, etc.

And, you can put your spin on it, but personal integrity does mean something even if it doesn’t mean anything to you. And just because you call it “false equivalency” does not make it false. Stop putting your own personal thoughts down as facts.

You can excuse seasonal world jumpers all you want, and I am sure it makes them feel better about themselves.

When you agree to stump up the box price to pay all those players you believe have bandwagoned just for rewards then I am sure they will only be too happy to do what you say… .. however, until you do I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with you what another players motivations are, whether it be better loot reward, better fights, more activity, guild movements, escaping attitudes or just plain wanting a change.
Who are you to assume why anyone leaves a server and who are you to think its right to name call just because players xfer.

Personally I think you are taking it all a bit too serious.. and yes, as another poster has already said – it’s a game save your big words for RL stuff that genuinely have a place and can make an actual difference

Fact is the situation with many low tier servers is appalling, but blaming the players for migrating within a EU/ NA wide community is plain dumb.. .. blame ANET for allowing the game to get into this shambles and doing nothing about it except make disparity worse.

And I think UW will do just fine as it always has.. no matter what happens it will always be a decent server maybe not in PPT data or event completions currently but whoever remains will undoubtedly do their best to enjoy their game and to be as competitive as they can when numbers allow… that has never changed.
Yes this time round I and a few others have taken a jump overboard but as I previously said that was nothing to do with the impending WvW tournament, in fact my involvement in that will be pretty small if any this time round.

I blame ANET for what has happened to UW not the players.. they just want to play the game the way they enjoy it – so on that note I wish you and all that remain there all the very best and hope that the transfer market does place some activity your way it is more than deserving of it.

I’m not sure why you’re trying to make a point. I’m not saying Underworld is in a super good spot. I’m just saying alot of stuff is possible as long as you set your mind to it.
Which is mostly the reason why things get done. Some people in underworld always tried to point fingers, demotivate, keep spirits low, pointing more fingers, just as you are still doing. Which hopefully are gone now. I don’t know whether to be happy or sad you’re not on the server any more, honestly.

So, anyone willing to get things done, and has the right mindset is welcome. All this quarrelling doesn’t help anyone.

So tell me, what is this point I supposedly have to prove?

Until this week I had been on UW ever since the first light was switched on and have seen the many twists and turns of the server supporting it through pretty much all of it … talk about hypocrite.. go back and read your own wall of text then come back and let UW know a bit more about why you think its so lacking in skills and coordination, I am sure they will appreciate hearing your wise words … personally I don’t give a hoot about your notions and attitude as I still firmly believe it has / had some of the best commanders and organised guilds across both PvE and WvW .. it simply lacks numbers and coverage these days for a plethora of reasons… something your postings do nothing to lend aid to.
Fact is if you can’t take a bit of open criticism to your posts then don’t criticise within your posts to start with – simples really.

Well Frizz, you keep telling yourself that, really please do cos that may help the rebuild if it ever takes off. But having a 50man zerg for a hour in EB a few times a week, doesn’t make for a great WvW season.. spread that over all maps and its a pretty quiet place to be.
Of course as Season 1 got worse and worse forus all they new challenge was to find decent fights, 1v1, GvG.. PPt means nothing – now all that is all well and good and PPT has never been the big motivator for many of us anyway, but it was all being churned out to help disguise the fact that UW was hurting bad and all because ANET had handled WvW and server traffic so badly and continue to do so.

As for the knights.. what was so difficult about them that UW lacked the skill to do them.. you think lacking numbers equates to skill, please really. When the changed hit the patch notes and split 1 zerg to 50 all that had to be done was split our zerg.. except that zerg didn’t have enuff in it to do it consistently and certainly not outside a few primetime hours.. just because you might of been fortunate to sit within a primetime run or 2 doesn’t make for a successful event.. how many 6min achievs did UW actually hit after the patch.. maybe ANET can dig thro their data, cos I ran that event a lot at different times of day and only once did we mange it and that was when the achiev was bugged. So players began to guest more and more to Deso etc.. 3 6min runs back to back , once in overflow.. tells its own tale on numbers. UW only very occasionally hits overflow and if your unlucky to ht ityou may as well log off for an hour.. hit Deso Overflow its a thriving hot potato of activity, even in the afternoon.

But I don’t blame the players for lacking skill and never would do.. your statement right their only serves to demotivate players and kindle the notion of moving on from the server as well.
UW WvW and PVE used to be strong and filled with decent players, decent guilds and some of the best commanders… it still boasts all of that but a hell of a lot less behind it to back it up across a 24 hr game, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

To be honest I have always been against bandwagoning especially after seeing how it affected UW before and after Season 1, so much so me and my guild curtailed our playtime within the game, mainly just doing dailies and LS stuff… in fact not even entering WvW for some time now due to its lop sided matchup and general all round staleness.
But its not the WvW scene that’s prompted the guild to transfer it was actually seeing just how much of a struggle it is on UW to get anything done in PvE space now as well.. the LS seasonfinale was abysmal at most times of day and peak times basically saw us guesting just to take down single knights let alone a complete Scarlet run.. and the previous watchtowers were pretty much the same in all honesty…. so we have decided enough is enough, ANET don’t have the courage and conviction to do anything about the issues so its left people who just want to be around a busy population no other choice but to move on.

Seeing WAR go this week was just another example of a staunch UW player/guild who has become just as disillusioned as well and I wish them well wherever they go… still I look forward to seeing all those “join my Havoc Squad” messages in the future Jarni, they were fun times

As for Mayh being reformed following RF departing, that’s indeed a positive for UW (both the RF leaving and Mayh reforming under Cristi…. only bad thing is .. I found out about RF moving to Gandara just after my guild had already transferred there

I love the people commenting “1500 hours for 60 dollars” without stopping to think for even one second. There’s a gem store. Looking at ncsoft’s financial report tells us that Guild Wars 2 made a lot of dough through the shop. A lot. The OP could be one of those who purchased gems using cold hard cash instead of converting gold.

What should we tell to those who spent 300 dollars in the gem store? No, that’s not uncommon. 500 dollars? More than 1000? Are they allowed to complain about the longevity of the game? Or was their investment still a great bang for the buck?

Instead of jumping to conclusions and riding the “it’s only 60 dollars” train, how about you reflect on the issues that were brought up? Is WvW getting stale? Did the living story feel like a success to you? Is it fine that we are expected to wait long months for small fixes and balance patches?

This person gets it.. sorry Chemical lord.. you clearly don’t.

If you think you can qualify an MMO’s quality, success and replay value by its box price.. then I gues ESO should be an absolute winner for the industry…

Like another poster above hinted.. A living World should be just that, but its not its pretty much stale bread on most maps now and many servers can barely muster 50 players on one facet of a latest content release… you keep telling yourself its all great and hunky dorey cos its only $60 for the time… but I am pretty sure any MMO out there, GW2 included envisages a hell of a lot more hours of gameplay to ensure a decent enuff return each month – otherwise this AAA MMO will have a short shelf life for sure.

The OP has raised a valid topic but Chemical Lord you seem destined to never look further than the end of your nose, but if your enjoying the ride then all is well here, many others opinions are strictly invalid it seems.

Well.. play a Mesmer.. movement speed just becomes a slow motion blur after a while.

I would hazard a guess ANET would make a tidy pot of gold each month if they only introduced long lasting speed buff pots. I wouldn’t mind in combat movement reductions if base movement for many classes wasn’t so miserably slow.. its like watching paint dry running across maps like Orr, Straits etc. where active WP’s are all but non-existent.

If we the guilds that confirmed really leave, and the ones that will leave when they see the major guilds go away… Underworld will lose thousands of players.

I mean, there is no way to save this server if this keeps going, and due that, i’m also wondering to transfer to other server. I can’t even play PVE Correctly without feel i’m playing a singleplayer game, WvW can have fun times but mostly we are with very low pops and guild organization to actually provide some fight.

I feel ANET will be forced to merge servers soon enough, GW2 is no longer full of players online and all spread around the world map playing together, and that is very visible on some particular servers.

You keep saying you/your guild are not liking UW cos of the state of population and your thinking to/have left.. then you say you cant even do PvE etc as it is like your playing singleplayer.. don’t you and your guild speak/play together? How can it be a singleplayer solo game if you and your guild are doing things together – maybe that’s your issue, maybe your guild isn’t doing things together. For PvE surely that’s all that’s required aside from some World events, which you are able to guest for in order to be involved.
Don’t get me wrong I think your right Underworld is at a seriously low ebb currently and ANET ignore the issues regardless, but UW isn’t the only server suffering for sure…. WvW transfers sales prior to S1 and the imminent tournament are definitely a smack in the face for those servers as even when free the xfers wont attract anyone to Underworld now so many of us are looking at the best alternative, which I agree seems to be Gandara – - See you there

Personally I am thinking ANET are taking a leaf out of Biowares book and allowing servers to implode all by themselves before killing time on them, but making as much in gem sales as possible in the time it takes – though like SWTOR they stand the very real risk that players wont bother xfering instead just leave the game behind period and what’s left makes for a much smaller MMO which then has to exact more pressure through the cash shop in order to keep their model sustainable.. something I think wont work either in GW2 – time will tell though.

Every rich node across Gendarron, Timberline, Maelstromand most maps these days has bots appearing and disappearing, with many mining almost underneath the node… add to that the increase in gold/item seller spam lately.. its becoming a soup bowl and then of course there are the more menacing things that are appearing across the game modes.. WvW threads being deleted on such topics is not all that encouraging especially with the tournament just around the corner

ANet's silence is why so many people leave.

My server’s full of people at all hours. Perhaps you mistook your server’s players transferring out as a sign they quit?

And maybe your overlooking the reasons why servers become virtual ghost towns and promote the ones that remain to transfer out to sunnier climbs…. its certainly not because of your server being the in place…think before you speak me thinks!

You think having a few stacked servers and a plethora of all but empty and lifeless ones makes for a thriving populous?…

Cheers to all that read and commented on the thread.. some interesting scores and opinions…. and off topic stuff from certain posters that couldn’t just rate and be done.
Roughly looking at it appears from the small sample to lead to a thumbs down kind of ending for many of us but when considering LS through the whole season some decent attempts at something a little different were made.
From just my own observation the main killers to the LS season 1 seems to weak story at times, consistently poorly implemented temporary content and achievements often linked to zerg/grp success rather than individual skills and achievement (not great when the whole overflow system more often than not works against organised groups/map numbers, which puts success or defeat at the mercy of the poor scaling system – lots to learn I think ANET .. I suggest taking a break, rethinking it all and …. well, we’ll just have to wait and find out wont we

Sounds like its a lag effect, I have had it a few times lately on my Mesmer when blinking… who’s to blame is.. well could be you, me, anyone (including ANET).
Sometimes I can actually run past where I am blinking to and suddenly get rubber banded back then blink to the spot, but it’s just lag I am afraid not a bug imo.

What I do find annoying is blinking often causes me to become rooted to the spot after the blink and unable to move unless I WP or a mob knocks me back.

Another issue I get is using Mind Stab (Mesmer GS #3 skill.. you stab then get like a 2 sec delay after where your unable to do anything)

Dont even bother to post stuff about hacks you will get your post deleted and you will receive a message with a warning….

i love the game the WvW its amazing… but i feel that they (anet) just dont care about wvw and pvp.

You think its just limited to those 2 areas of the game… take a look around all the rich resource nodes on every map and you will see those same players mysteriously appearing underneath the node, inside a wall etc etc.. its not just WvW that has the issues, its all through the game from starter map to endgame.. abut yes I agree with you – ANET simply don’t care.

Tbh there are so many sites offering GW2 hacks now even a 5yr can google and download all they need.. like the undetected visual radar/ESP hack that’s out add that to FoV hacks and invisible stalker… no server stands a chance in WvW….. identify, position, invade.. game over!

Well hate to say I told ya so.. ANET prefers to sweep things that say too much about the state of the game under the woolly rug… invisible hacker thread, WvW population CDI etc, etc.. says a lot tbh, but hey we got WvW tournament to look forward to now… now where do we go to get that hack again, maybe if we all start using it – might level the playing fields a bit regardless of server populations

It might be fixed but are there enough people bothering with the event now across servers.. from my own servers perspective and some that I’ve guested on to at least try to grab some power cores.. it seems not – so if you haven’t got it by now then either guest to 1 of the few that are still just about mustering numbers, and hope it fits around your playtimes…. cos outside of a few hours primetime its proving tricksy at best imo

Well the recent patch seems to have made the knight event a little more achievable outside of prime, which is a good thing… but too little too late imo so I am still of the mind this last part is a fail, but had much more potential

It just means I actually understand how these things work, and should work.

The ratio of correct to incorrect answers you post to these forums would imply otherwise.

Based on your ability to interpret correctness? When’s the last time you were directly quoted by a Dev for saying exactly the right thing? I think I’ll stick with how I’ve been going.

Well you say you understand how things should work.. sorry but if your wanting to support the issues and Band-Aid fixes around servers inability to efficiently complete events like this on a regular basis then I think you lack the understanding.
These issues are not new, they are not suddenly big black holes that appear , they have been within the game for 6-9 months now and only getting worse .. you say guesting is the solution that’s is there and yes it is a means to an end but it is in no way a solution in fact it only serves to exacerbate the issue further for many servers and then on the flipside create more issues on those servers being stacked.. overflow piggy backing, lag, community unrest etc ,etc – the solution is there staring ANET in the face but they lack the bottle to do it.. more than half the servers could easily be merged but I guess they are simply afraid to do it in case it sends a shock wave out that the game might be in decline, just like it did with other titles like SWTOR, difference is GW2 has always been aimed at a casual market so peaks and troughs are always going to be there and over time every MMO will loose players the older it gets and newer title appear.

Leaving servers to fester like they are, especially with the new WvW season almost upon us will only server to kill off more enthusiasm for the game if something isn’t done about it.. but hey xfers will be the replacement then for guesting and they know gem sales will see a nice spike again.

Gotta love it when we get a RED box input into a thread to try and keep it on topic of saying well done/thank etc……. strangely quiet when the heat is on within the plethora of threads regarding things not going so well and frustrations building and fingers pointing at ANET to get some answers – speaks volumes imo

Meh, so a single meaningless achievement is still bugged.
Yes, it’s really bad as far as their QA goes, especially if they cannot get something this simple fixed.
But no, there’s much bigger fish in the pond. A single achievement. Out of a few thousand.

Agree.. though from a challenge standpoint if were being taught to coordinate to succeed its one of those achievements that goes a long way to help bring that theory to life… as it is now most players on my server simply stack red then any numbers beyond 50 become dead weight or move to blue/green..

@Sera – So yes Seras its called farming with what we have.. bourne originally out of necessity, now out of can’t be botheredness (I made a new word).
Every man and his dog knows the original day of the knights event was easier to zerg one knight to the other and yes that hasn’t been possible since the patch.. that’s a different mindset that’s simply players working out collectively how to best achieve not only the event to get to Scarlet, but to also beat the clock.

Now the achievs are meaningless to most, its just time to catch up on the cores we lost out on due to the loot bug shambles.. farming is farming whether it be in a zerg, an organised front or soloing like with blades etc. Of course if by chance there are enough to load up other or all knights its a no brainer… and the recent 25% in health likely means 40 on each knight will be a success, but even getting 40 is a hot topic for many servers.. so yes we guest if we still need to.

Not all of us got the achievement via the bug and others are still trying to get it.
Yeah the latest patch to drop knights health by 25% and remove menders is a good quick fix but it isn’t a solution to the issues, in fact I would call it a lazy band aid.
It still doesn’t help players who’s play times sit outside of the few hours prime time and as such still can’t muster enough players to complete the knights/ a knight/ the 6min achieve … the event needs scaling not insta health drops, but I guess it will help widen the number of single knight farming and a few more completions closer to prime.

Guesting exists. Use it if your server is empty at your gaming times.

Can’t single knight farm anymore. Capped at 50ppl per knight that can even damage it. Better served by spreading out and beating the event.

Insta-health drops are fine when the attacks are so heavily telegraphed.

Dooh.. look at the issue before jumping in .. guesting only exaggerates the issue across server.. where have you been for months and months.

You absolutely can farm a single knight.. because if you had read around the issues the event has.. not enough servers can grab 50 people on a singlew knight let alone each knight.. except maybe for a few hours a day at prime, which surprisingly doesn’t suit everyone.. the event does not take into consideration server pops across a 24 hr period let alone 12 hrs… and scaling is non existant so you load up as many on one knight to at least grab your chest … if you do mange to get moe than 50 you begin to filter them out to the next knight… its been happening ever since the patch.

Insta health drops will only help when sufficient numbers exist to be able to tackle a single or multiple knights.. unfortunately that isn’t proving to be all that common across many servers.. read the plethora of posting on it and map chats on servers… lack of event scaling makes it all but impossible to do anything more than tickle them most of the time even with 25% less health…the attacks and dodges aren’t the issue when there are so few in the first place.

Personally I am not at all bothered about it any more, I got all my achievs (excepot the impossible 6min to knightfall debacle) and a bit of loot Helm etc so I am one of those just farming knights for cores now add in the fact that RNG is fickle at the best of times in GW2.. people have began to loose interest in the event anyway and farm a single knight instead… argue it as much as you like but its a sad face fact because there is little else to go for.
