Wah!!!
Does that match with similar items from these guides, like is there lots of people buying 25 Slices of Garlic Bread? I would imagine so, is it just as high? if not then what make dill so special?
i find the warrior pretty boring, one I have is still mid 40s, Started it before my ranger and engineer(that’s before the last few class updates), and both of them are lvl 80 now with a few ascended pieces. whole play style is pretty mind numbing imo.
Does not make a difference really, you still get the same effect and you don’t lose anything.
Wow, so many people who don’t understand something so simple. That article is clearly not written by NCSoft or ArenaNet, and if the writer believes that
Since the launch of Guild Wars 2, NCSOFT and ArenaNet have released more than an expansion’s worth of content
then sure he has low standards for expansions, but that’s absolutely no reason for people to start a witch-hunt for ArenaNet’s marketing team. That is one journalist’s opinion and is in no way a form of deception from the makers of the game.
Sorry can hear you, i’m too busy handing out pitch forks and torches.
When i come to our utilities, thieves kinda get shafted under water, we can use venoms, signets and a few tricks. Very limited amount of stealth, and have no access to most of the skills we use on land.
That being said, the underwater weapons do keep them alive better then most, on demand evades, blocks, and lots of movements skills. at this time tho, underwater combat is just not interesting so i won’t worry about it too much.
I haven’t posted before, and i know you might me busy, but i’ll throw this up anyways. No rush, you’re doing great though, keep up the good work.
If thief is perma stealth he’s not attacking you. If 10 guys can’t drop a thief when he does attack or use a trap you are terrible players.
L2P IMO.
This.
and that.
On sword, the 3rd autoattack hits pretty hard in a crit build, and Rip(#4 after impale) can hit like a truck, tho i find they are hard to land. Longbow can hit hard too (#2 and 3), but is a bit slow for my liking.
Not a fan of the music either, huzzah for my own
Hmm 2x warrior with basic trait and gear ?
What’s the point of this video?
does it need a point?
i usually crit up to 2-2.5k per auto on medium to low armour target, hitting up to 3 target, that with a power of 1683,
Then you have the 1 sec of fire damage on top of it, then 10% bonus damage if they are on fire. Fire from the auto is won’t cover the whole duration of the auto, but with traits and #4 of the FT, you should have lot of access to fire.
What do you do when you have 9 characters (8 of them level 80 w/ multiple weapons some multiple gear sets and cultural tier 3 armor) and you’re getting stomped in wvw, you have no need for dungeon running because everyone’s geared, and there just isn’t anything you really want to do but you still want to play.? I’d think farm for the chance of a good drop. As if you haven’t killed this game enough with the drop nerfs, you slid a few more things in there. I just wonder where it’ll end. The chances of getting an exotic drop with 130% MF are 0 .0000000001% but if the sky falls and you do get one, it’s one of the “many” 1 gold one’s that you added (worthless). Now I can’t press ctrl to view my missed drops. lmao. You sincerely want me to miss the few drops that I do get ? Come on guys. I’ve been a good player. Spent 500-600 US $‘s in the gem store and I’m just one player. You guys can’t be hurting for gem sales that bad. Bad enough to ruin the game.? Just killed an orr boss and didn’t get the daily. Not sure if you took daily chests out and I don’t wanna know. I look forward to playing this game when I get home and I play it so much that I need to switch things up. I need to farm every now and then to refresh. I know you’re relying on new players but they’ll run out eventually. Think about the guys that have been here since beta and head start before it’s too late. PLEASE.. Don’t kill the best game I’ve ever played so soon
This basically shines a huge, glaring light at the problem with MMOs today.
For anyone who plays Skyrim, or any other single player RPG- how many of you explore a dungeon or do a task because you want the mad loots at the end? I dunno about you, but not me. What about Sandbox MMOs? Do you focus most of your tasks around mad loots at the end? Not me.
Why? Because actually doing the stuff is fun to me in those games. But most modern MMOs have gotten rid of the concept of making content fun and instead just make it rewarding. The end result? “I don’t have any more gear to get from this instance… why should I run it?!”.
That isn’t the fault of the player, it’s the fault of the game itself that its content just isn’t enjoyable enough to run more than a couple of times on its own merit :-\
That just bugs me with MMOs sometimes.
Yeah but what pve game out there can keep people playing for years that doesn’t involve grinding at some point. After you played through the content, once maybe twice. You’ve seen everything that game as too offer, and other then the multiplayer part of it, why would you play it anymore?
The one fault of the player is that they always want more, not really a bad thing , but unless a game keeps adding content or have long term goals in the game that keep them playing, they will move on to something else. whats does a company got to do to keep them in?
My norn wants her bathing suit, only slightly bigger.

:P
GW1 Ranger dance? no thank you.
GW2 Ranger whirlwind defense? Yes please.
So it’s agreed that literally the only reason for the arbitrary level difference is to force specific people to spend money on it.
And out of that specific group of people, it’s an even more specific group who want to use Transmutation: level 80 players who want their level 80 armor to look like armor from lower levels.
Because if you wanted your level 80 armor to look like different level 80 armor, you would have just bought the second armor instead.
And the reason can’t be to keep people from making their lower level armor look like level 80 armor, because it doesn’t actually prevent that. And all they’d need to do was limit its use to only armor up to your current level (it might already do that).
So they’ve essentially singled out level 80 players who want -80 armor aesthetics--a fraction of a fraction—to pay more gold/gems/cash for an item than any other player group. It’s like charging a little girl 99 cents for a bag of chips that everyone else got for 50. How is that fair, exactly?
Even taking into consideration that it’s all about money, it still doesn’t make sense. How does that one level make them more money than 2 levels? 5 levels? 10, 20…?
To be fair, you can get fine transmution stone same way you can get normal one, tho it’s rarer. Through playing the game, i acquired enough free fine trans stones to gear out 4 character fully in armour i wanted for them, with some weapons here and there. while i had 3 times the amount in normal trans stones.
Builds that can engage 5+ people alone and live are simply out-of-bounds with respect to class balance. It doesn’t matter if those players are bad or not.
According to who and what law? If there’s an actually a law out there saying this, it won’t matter because most thieves tend to break the rules

This is a video if a lvl 15 ranger 1v1 bunch of other classes (this was before the buff to the pets).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhMCbzc2m10
My buddie took his nerco in wvw around lvl 40 and could tank 3-4 people for a considerable amount of time.
LVL don’t mean much, player skill is where it’s at, play the way you want.
The funny part is how many people think the thread was serious because a thief can CnD on a semi afk zerker build in the middle of 10 players.
I don’t think even half of the responses here realize he couldn’t do a single attack except for CnD or else 3s reveal would get him instantly killed.
Yeah, if the ele was paying attention or knew what she was doing (kinda giving TC some credit), i’m sure they could have dealt with that thief.
If you look his stream, he has a video of him on his engineer beating two thieves 1v2, what is he doing that a group can’t do?
I found it funny that people were trolling about zerging in the small squad tactics video, failing to realize that the nature of the stream draws people in. The fact that the enemy was basically using the stream to follow them from across the map should prove that.
Maybe the should just run a youtube video of them do that, without the stream cheater ;P
But for the first half of the stream it was pretty good. It pretty much how my guild runs when they run in small groups.
BIS = best in stats
Am i casual if I am only on 1 hour a day, 2-3 days a week, but i spend all that time farming CoF for money to get a weapon i want?
Am i hardcore if i spend 4 hours each night in LA not really doing much, and just doing the dailies?
What if i do the former one week, and the latter the next, what am I then?
Why not do the comparison for us? It may be we don’t realize it, but if we don’t know what your talking about, then how will we?
This boss is pretty simple, it going to be next to impossible not pulling anything because the npc loves to emo dive right in, pulling everything. Plus you got mobs at the side that are very easy to pull.
Honestly i don’t worry about it anymore. I go in there expecting to pull them, and am prepared to deal with them as they do. at one point the mobs around the boss will be cleared, and then you can dps it down safety, it’s just not going to be fast.
Or add a pulsing aoe smoke field, those are fun right?
Stuff like last refuge shouldn’t proc reveal, and shouldn’t be effected by reveal, same with Instinctual Response, if you can’t control it, have it user friendly.
Trash in PvE? that’s a laugh!
Only a thief could gear in all berserker or rampager and complain about getting 1-shot in PvE.
if they put on some decent armor, 3k just like everyone else, and added some vitality, at least 17k just like everyone else. They be doing the same damage, would have the same healing (if they used their signet) and would be the same as any other class in the game.
S/P or D/P in PTV/Clerics/Knights could tank just as well as any warrior or guardian. Sitting in a smoke screen and healing themselves just as well as any tank out there.
Glass cannon thieves are only weak in PvE because they totally forsake survivability.
Find a guardian in full berserkers, without altruistic healing, and ask them how well they tank.
Pretty much agree with this, my thief rocks knight armor, and some cleric, and it still does good damage, doesn’t drop over a bloody nose. and the times i do go down, it’s usually after at a group wipe, and i’m usually one of the last ones up long after the warrior or guardian goes down.
The thief forum though is filled with QQing GC thieves, so you can’t really get a proper discussion there.
Personally i think thieves should have been designed with all of skills on every set with dual wielding in mind, or at least the off-hand skills.
So with everyone and their pets either talking about either being glass or bunker, make me wonder if anyone goes for the middle ground. I’m sure there is, but no one really talks about it.
So i want to ask,
Do you have a profession is well rounded? and what sort of stats does it have?
On a scale 1-10, 1 is glass 10 is a brick wall, where do you think you fall in?
How well do you do, and how would you compare it do a GC/bunker of the same profession?
And do you enjoy it?
Thieves: “why we not warriors with stealth and BS QQ”
Not bad, pretty diverse. some gadgets still lacking imo, and turrets i haven’t tried fully since a few updates, but most off their other skills are pretty viable imo.
Sadly this isn’t the game for you then, now i can still build my guardian to be a complete brick with soldier or cleric gear and can take a hit. Thought that only works well with mob’s autoattacks. with some hits that will one shot the tankiest of bricks.
This is also a game were aggro is everyone’s responsibility, there is no taunt skills , you do have an aoe pull skill, but that does only so much. How aggro works depends on a lot of factors that seem to be different on different mobs.
It’s didn’t change, it’s per character/per tier.
Shadow Shot skill: The projectile portion is now unblockable.
oh, i see. lol well I don’t feel as bad, but still, alot of eles claimed i was hacking, so fun.
You can no longer “pull” reflecting targets with shadow shot anymore, I’m really sad about this now. So useful in jade maw, and really funny pulling eles with magnetic aura, ah well.
what is this hunter you speak of?
Question though, is there going to be more then just gauntlets, like a full armor set? I know unique glove were big in gw1, but i was wondering if there will be a full set added in the future. Asking because i don’t know if i want to spend my ticket now, or sit on it until full set comes out and decide then.
After testing with HiS to enter stealth, the TS is still hitting ~50-100 lower.
Maybe it’s skill coefficient is lower so it doesn’t scale as well.
You are loosing ~6% damage with Lead Attacks after using C%D which you will gain some back after proc’ing Opportunist plus normal regen. Also possibly another 10% depending how much initiative you had with First Strike.
Wiki saids it’s currently bugged, so maybe thats it, another reason is the steak is pretty simple, and people like simple.
Think he means “Assassin’s Signet”,
Though you pop that for the 15% damage for 5 hits,
But for the trait, since it’s might, you gain condition damage, which the passive doesn’t improve,
Work with other signets and stacks with them.
Plus the OP’s math is wrong, 5 stacks of might is +175 power/condition damage, not 150, so you are only really losing -5 power.
for people over kittening over mug, be thankful you are not being boned like the ele.
Is that all for the thief? i missed like 80% of the show
So mug’s a life-steal now?
Can you link the State of the Game?
http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2guru
show is over thought, they will have it up on you tube later though.
Doesn’t have to be that everyone wipes, if I’m meleeing with my thief along with a warrior or a guardian. If the mob does a big attack and I was able to avoid it but the other guy didn’t and he dies, I feel like a boss
was there any trolling going on in chat, or was is a random kick message?
Not as mix and matchy as others, but I like how it looks. My norn mesmer:
Head: starter harlequin mask
Gloves: Temple karma vendor from orr (don’t remember which one)
Shoulders, Chest, Pants, Boots: Light heritage skin from HoM.
thing of nightmares O.O
Nope, not available through crafting, you can get PVT in WvW, dungeons, and karma.
Keep one hit per blind, but blinded enemies miss you and hit their allies if in range as well.
just beat teh bunny
