[Survey] Guild Upgrade Costs

  • How many people are in your guild, and how many of them participate in World vs World?

Around 20 active, most of them playing wvw at least half of their time.

  • Do you find any of the Auras from claiming essential?

Movement Boost can be useful for scouts, +5 sups should be essential… but we don’t have it yet.

  • How many World vs World upgrades has your guild earned, what level are they, and how close are they to getting +5 Supply, in particular? Do you feel it is achievable? How much have they spent?

Keep Claiming, Aura V, scribing is low priority as we don’t have enough gold for upgrades anyway… We have a few Supply Detonators, unlocked some more. The guild spent more gold on upgrades since HoT than before on siege/food for wvw raids. As we don’t have enough guild levels yet, +5 supps seems like a dream, achieved in a few months probably.

  • How has your guild been obtaining the upgrades? Do you feel that this has taken time away that you would have rather been playing World vs World? Please be specific, such as “I spent 5 hours getting shovels”, etc.

Donations from members, most of us emptied our reserves to get the wvw upgrades faster (like those stacks of elder wood I saved up for sup. siege during the last year).
We “organized” guild-pve-events like Shovel/HoT area farms instead of wvw raids, to get the upgrades faster. It was daily 1-5 hours for the others, I don’t have HoT so I couldn’t help with everything…

  • How has the new system impacted you and your guild’s playing experience in World vs World? Would you prefer the new system or the pre-HoT system?

Pre-HoT system. We liked to get cheap guild golems, guild catas for our ninja-fun, now they are more expensive than normal, non-guild siege, making us less effective for ninja-actions.

  • If you could change one thing about the Guild upgrade system, what would it be?

Get rid of the pve-mats, replace them with loot from WvW like heavy bagz, spikes…
Get rid of the scribing for guild-siege, let us make them for karma/BoH/anything obtainable in wvw.

Get Rid of the Gold-Sink for wvw-specific guild-upgrades, we don’t have the income to sustain them!

I do not agree with your over complex idea that segregates the slimming wvw community anymore than it currently is.

By skimming through, you are asking the devs to replace one segregated wvw for another segregated wvw.

Pve is megaserver for reasons.

Spvp is megaserver for reasons.

Eotm is megaserver for reasons.

Wvw should be megaserver for many reasons, not segregated and restricted globe servers.

I read it as:

You will have to see for yourself.
Personally I still love raiding the borders with my Guild. It’s just not worth to buy hot for it unless you are also roaming.

There is no raiding on BL, you just like the karma train with no opposition. Let me guess, German server?

That is not true, we have guild vs guild fights on borders almost every day, but a bit too late for our timezone (somehow the enemy guilds are starting after 21.00 CET while we end our raid around 22.00 CET…).

BTW if I’m not mistaken, Entenkommando is on SFR.

I personally kind of like the idea of this. I used this feature in Heroes of Newerth depending on my mood. You could select shorter queue times with worse quality matches or longer queue times for better quality matches.

No idea how the enemies do it, but they can teleport in just fine while the keep is contested…

Did it to our own garri when it was contested… just ported into the map for mystic toilet, dunno how is it done, but it’s bugged sometimes…

Question: I didn’t get a chance to play yesterday. What exactly did they do with the “bug fix” mentioned in the Dec 1 post, about being able to teleport for a few seconds between Repel Attackers events?
Isn’t this how we’ve been defending for 3 years now? Or was there an actual bug.

Is timer still meaningful? Can we still spam WP?

If anyone who played after the patch can explain this, it would be much appreciated.

When it’s working as Anet intended, you can only WP when no enemies attacking, i.e. no WP with timer during defending, our old WP-PORT NAOW is gone…
IF you ignore the glorious Emergency Waypoint .
Basically if an npc gets in combat (like attacking another npc), the keep will be contested and the WP unusable, making it impossible to use on a regular basis…………

Oh, totally missed your post, yeah… that sounds bad, not what server vs server battles should look like … I thought they called kt to those random spontaneously groups that formed to cap random keeps one after another until some resistance was found (trains clashing?)

Yes, nowadays ppl are calling “ktrain” every zerg/blob which just “pvd”, player-vs-doors, fights only npcs, empty keeps, running away from fights… basically just saying ktrain for those zergs which are like the “old”, fixed trains.. tho they were more frequent during fridays, when the matchup was already decided and none wanted to defend.. so ppl farmed some while relaxing.

During the old days, ppl were in need of karma (lol), and were capping keeps (counter)clockwise, so all 3 servers could “maximize” the income of karma (lol).
Without WXP, all it was good for is karma, so ppl called it Karmatrain, and the name remained even if none needs karma anymore.

It even lags while none on the map, all it needs is the glorious middle-pve-event, and then you’ll be rubberbanding all over the place.

It’s not really better for blobfights, only the fact that you have less blobfights…

No, all it will do for them is close any way to enjoy it in an organized environment.

After this change, you have to join a wvw-focused guild to enjoy the same organization you can have now on “wvw oriented servers”, where players are using TS, guilds are cooperating with each other, having fun together.

And as it has a 100 man cap for each guild, the “we must win!” folks will see you as a noob and will accept you only if you can play in a style which fits their vision, while the “let’s play for fun” guilds will not spend so many “resources” (gold, time, $$) for wvw to fully enjoy the “oldschool” wvw.

Transferring isn’t a money problem for pve-players, only for wvw players (you can farm 1-3 days in pve and transfer without any $$ only by buying gems with gold), if someone want to move to a higher pop server which suits his/her playstyle more, (s)he can do it now.
Lower-pop servers have/had their own lifestyle, which is either good for you or not, but the answer is never taking away something from the players, it should be giving more choices to them, and as I see it now, the low-pop servers will be in a bad shape after the possible changes.
IF you trust anet’s MatchMaking, maybe there’s a little hope for less-populated matchups, but dunno if it’s the same fun for them or not. (I never was on low-pop servers, I liked to fight in 15-50 man raids, and even while scouting/roaming, liked the chance to encounter a 80 man blob, reporting it to our mapjump then watching them get rekt )

Though I think part of the problem may be their most devoted haven’t been allowed to post here for a long, long time. I know most of the T1na guild leaders have been banned since Feb. 2013 xD

I have to swap which account I post from every few months. That 10 minute flood control is a kitten.

Some ppl on our server thinks that if you have zero Infractions you’re not active on the forums and if you were never suspended(banned) you didn’t really tried to help wvw yet

Am I right to assume that you mean that defending isn’t important because WPs come at tier 1? If so, I contend that you don’t value reinforced/fortified walls as much as you should. Also, having an objective flipped means losing any siege that’s inside of it. Even if you manage to retake it quickly, it’s still a big set-back. In addition, it will likely be drained of supply if it’s switching hands.

The upgrade system does make draining supply harder in some ways because you can’t expect upgrades to run it dry. On the other hand, Yaks aren’t always out in the open so you can assassinate them more easily now—enemies won’t see you coming a mile off. That said, if you deal significant damage to a structure, it will still run out of supply very quickly. Thus, I don’t think this is a negative change.

I can’t say anything about fights on your server, but on mine people are wise enough to re-position if they’re faced with a choke. There’s always another path to take to the objective or a way to get behind an enemy. If you can’t force through them, keep moving until you have more favorable conditions. Once you actually get close to an objective the chokes tend to disappear anyway.

If the enemy has siege built on your gate before you see them, you’ve already been outwitted. A good scout will keep sentries flipped for early warning and can check a perimeter in a minute or less. If an enemy wants to take my keep, they usually have to run through cannon fire to get to the gate.

Cannons/Oil do suffer from the inverted wall problem. That is, it is safer to be at the bottom of a wall than at the top. A shield generator can mitigate this pretty well, though. I run a pretty defensive build in order to be able to stay on a Cannon/Oil long enough to do something—it’s effective enough that no one breaks my gates without killing the siege first. Still, I think you’re right in saying that more needs to be done to make built-in siege usable.

Mortars do seem a bit oddly placed. I’ve been able to figure out how to use all that I’ve actually sat on, though.

With the exception of Parched Outpost (merciless, boring stunlock), I really like the new lords. You can’t just blob them and win with no problems. In firekeep you have to make sure you can survive a knockback/fear. In airkeep you have to avoid fighting the boss in the center of his platform. This also means that if you’re defending with a smaller force, you have an obvious weak point to exploit. Just like the walls/gates, killing the lord now requires an actual strategy beyond overwhelming force.

But, if you don’t like it, oh well. Some of your complaints are things I agree with, some not…

I like offensive-upgrading, too. I like to get enemy garrison and try to get it to wp/t3 and then farm them inside as they’ll try to take it back. The only objective you can be sure to attract enemy blobs to fight. Now I have no motivation for it as no WP even if I defend it for 4 hours.

WP at t0 makes my motivation to defend/upgrade offensive-bl hills/bay close to zero. On old BL, I could babysit it for half a day, trying to get WP in it for prime time, so our guildraids can defend it as enemy blobs will try to flip it, as it has WP. Now no point flipping it as wp will remain, no point upgrading as you’ll have WP for primetime if you just blob it down 1min before guildraid starting.
Yes, T2-3 is nice to have, but as it’s automatic, I just hate it. I want to choose what to upgrade, I want to start it when it’s the time for it. I don’t want to see a War-simulation playing itself. I liked the feeling of success when you upgraded it to t3, now it’s just boring.
Dollies were easily killed before, now it’s hard only if someone defends it… It’s rare, reaaaaaaly rare that someone defends it when no guild mission…

The problem is not that we can’t take another route to the objective. The problem is that we want to fight them! We don’t want to play a boring wait-and-wait game with them to see who’ll push into the others choke first. And 99% of the time they’ll not push, they’ll wait and be happy that we didn’t take their precious objective… boorrriiinnnnggggggg.

When you scout enemy garrison, you can’t really have every Sentry on your side and not flipped by 3 guys in minutes when you got it… You’ll not see the enemy closing on your keep. And even on hills/bay, most ppl are clever enough to avoid sentries anyway, or just send 1-2 guy to kill all of them before the zerg goes there… I mean if they really want to cap the keep and not just bait out enemies to fight.

Dunno about Shield Generator, I can’t use it, so dunno. (Even if someone built one, ppl without HoT can’t interact with it.) Tho if you’re alone, it’s a lil’ bit hard to use SG and then cannon/oil

I don’t have much problem with the lords. They’re boring pve-npcs, but whatever, I just semi-afk while 111 them. We’re killing the lord after we wiped the enemy anyway.
What I care about is the additional mechanisms in the keep/lordroom. I freakin’ hate the wind turrets, in a blobfight you can’t even see them activating… It would be a bit better if they made those orange-triangles on the ground so you can see them activating, but this way… The lava is just another cliff, fall down into it and you’ll be dead… As if we didn’t have enough cliffs already…

It’s an over-engineered wvw map or a good pve map, that’s my problem. We’re even playing against a server which cares about PPT, so they’re defending/scouting, but it’s still not fun to play on. I’m not playing on EBG, never liked it… So I’m just playing less wvw/gw2 now.

To be honest, it seems more like people played for 15 minutes then spent hours upon hours complaining. Most are saying the same things like ‘too much pve’ or ‘too big’ or ‘too hard to find enemies’ without substantiating their claims. It’s a very whiny echo chamber—it’s hard for me to take it seriously so I can’t imagine Anet is all that worried.

I did.
We had guildraids there. Enemy had 3-4 guilds there. We had Q on the map. Enemy probably did, too. We were attacking keeps. We were defending keeps.
As of now, it’s not so fun as old BLs.

The WP-system makes defending not important, the Upgrade/Dolly-system makes draining supply a lot harder/more time consuming.
The “complex terrain” makes fights more static as a lot of groups are just waiting for the other one to push into your choke instead of you pushing into their choke.
The “complex keeps” makes scouting alone almost impossible, you just can’t check every gate/cataspot/trebspot before a blob can take down a paper gate/wall if it’s not trebs.
Cannons/Oils are still unusable deathtraps against competent enemies, a lot of mortars are… dunno, not so usable as on old BLs (There you could use a lot of mortars to defend keeps, even if S defended N gate. Now I just can’t find a lot of use for mortars, only as “free” counter-trebs.)
“Fun to fight bosses” and “mechanics” (like wind turrets) makes fights more annoying than tactical, you simply can’t see f.e. the wind turrets inside a particle-boom GW2 have during combat.

It just feels like (and my guild agreed) a HoT pve-map which was dropped mid-development and was made into a wvw map.
And the enormous secret-quaggan-kitten room just salt into my wound, as it clearly was made with a lot of love, it’s awesome. Too bad I can’t say the same for the rest of the borderland from a WvW viewpoint.

If you have to eat horsekitten, you will know it’s not delicious after the first bite, you don’t have to eat half of it to say it’s bad…
But millions (of flies) are loving it, so it must be good!

WvW Autopilot

Found this in another thread, apparently the idea of WvW playing itself is catching on.

Just a thought for discussion.

Replace what would have been players in an empty map with respective npcs (until it reaches the player cap of that map), that is organized and constantly fight to capture and hold key strategic areas, in a perpetual conflict that would (without intervention) result in a balance equilibrium or equal points to each team. When a player does log on, they will randomly replace an npc. If enough players log on, then all the npcs will be replaced. Depending on the numbers of npcs remaining on map, their roles may change as well. Imagine the forever epic feel of logging on a map to find fights always happening!

Now a privileged player (one with commander tag or some other ability or prerequisite) could influence npcs and give them instructions and focus. So in theory, even if only one human player plays on a server in tier 8, for a few hours a day, could make a difference to their server if they make good decisions to manage the npcs.

In another scenario, imagine a lesser populated server paired off against a larger populated one. It may give a cunning player a fighting chance if the player could instruct the npcs to attempt to capture points all over the map forcing the larger group to commit players to defend.

Farming Badges of Honor

Finished the dailies for today, I am pretty sure I got nothing from capturing anything, 4 from killing enemies (that was 2 badges, twice and I am pretty convinced now that the drop rate must be around 10% or less).

I also haven’t got a single badge from ranking up since I hit 12. Could it be a bug or something, or have they nerfed drops to oblivion?

You get ~1-2 badge for a keep/tower/camp capture.
You get 0 for getting a wall/gate down.
You get a few for killing enemy players.
You get some for daily achies.
You get some for Rank ups.

Choose what you want to do, but probably a blob farming enemy players while karmatraining is the best… EBG is that way <-

Depends how you do alliances, EVE Online uses alliances (and a megaserver) and has a stronger “community” with more depth than GW2 ever had.

Alliances are fine, but that’s just a renaming of servers.
You can’t make it “guild based”, as then the “pugs” can’t join it, so you’ll have a similar system to the servers we have now.
I tried to say this, maybe I failed.

You can fight for your name or name of your community, that’s understandable. Right now you’re fighting for the name of a specific piece of hardware though; and you are assigned to that specific hardware automatically by the system.

Nope, I’m fighting for the community we built during the last few years, not for a HW, and I was not assigned to it automatically. I chose it, and you chose yourself yours, even if you did not know beforehand what that specific server means regarding wvw gameplay.
You can “easily” change servers, 1-2 day in SW/Whatever the newest farmplace is and transfer without any $$ involved.

You can make gvg maps on the same principle where instead of distributing individuals you distribute units of players. But again as equally as possible.

You don’t want to run your 15 ppl guild against 100 in EBG, do you? It’s fun for 10 mins then you just leave because it’s pointless.

But my community is my server and I want to play with them.. well, except a few :P
You probably don’t know the feeling of seeing familiar names/guildtags in a pugraid, you know them ‘cos you’re playing with them for months..

If the matchmaking was working and/or If the PPT-system was less coverage-dependent, it would be almost no-problem as servers with similar strength would fight each other.

Now if we have empty servers, that’s another problem. You can ofc make Alliances, but that’s just renaming the servers, and temporary groups are too pointless for me. I’m fighting for my server, my community, not for a name assigned to me by an algorithm.
It can make fun Fights but not fun WvW Matchups.

I’m all for a gvg/fight “queue”/matchmaking place/map/system, but not instead of wvw.

Anet said “somewhere on the forum” (still broken search FTW!) that they didn’t want WvW to be fair, and they did a good job with that… It’s not fair xD

I payed as much money as everyone else for this game and I’m not just at huge disadvantage, my game experience is simply crippled that playing WvW under these conditions doesn’t make any sense.

I’d wager that anyone who’s played WvW since launch has paid out gems to transfer at least once. So no, you haven’t paid as much as everyone else.

The transfer mechanic is there if you are dissatisfied with your existing world, and you don’t even have to pay real money to use it. Simply farm a pve zone for a day and you’ll earn enough gold to buy the gems to transfer. Not many games out there offer that option. Most will price gouge you to transfer.

(Or you can delete all of your characters and transfer for free. BTW I did not transferred even once, true, I am playing wvw (in wvw guilds) only since summer of 2013 and was lucky to start on SFR.)

Well, tbh I can’t fear it anymore.. I mean even if they mess WvW up more, it’ll just make the quitting faster… Taking away the maybe half-year time we still have for wvw?

#truthhurts I feel for you. I know what it’s like getting destroyed by greater numbers over and over and over again. Not sure I’ve got a solution for you, though. Not sure if ANET has one either.

I have a strong feeling that programming languages give you enough flexibility to make 3 teams equal in numbers at any time give or take say 10-15%.

The simplest version – assign every new player that joins a battleground to the smallest team. Disallow taxiing in. If many people leave one team, disband that team, redistribute people to other teams. If you have one huge team, split it in half etc.

I’m pretty sure that with all dynamic “dynamics” GW2 is so proud of there is an acceptable solution.

That is if you actually care or want to provide fair entertainment services.

The idea of tethering teams to servers which is an internal system division that as a customer I don’t have to even know (not to mention so much worry) about is ridiculous and is the root of all these problems.

Servers should serve to balance game workload, not affect the actual game play so dramatically.

That sounds like a “fair”-EotM.
I still need my community/guild to play wvw with, so I will avoid every automatic-teams map.

As far as Anet is concerned, the only question is how to monetize WvW over the reasonably expected lifetime of the game. They don’t make money for people just playing WvW unless they are buying gems (with real $$) or attracting new players to the game who might pay for gems or buy HoT, etc.

Personally, I think they should try to get more people interested in WvW by combining WvW rewards with PvE rewards to get the best gear. Or let people get unique gear from WvW that is superior to PvE gear in WvW.

And then they disable toys ‘cos 1 freakin’ toy can be exploited. So let’s just trash all of them, who needs them in wvw anyway~

So far that’s 2 people on the thread that say they’ve been on the map when it’s been queued or closer to full. Of everyone complaining, that’s 2.

I don’t think everyone would ignore WvW if they took out EBG, by the way. And I didn’t say take it out forever, just take it out for a week to see. There’s really no harm in trying these things. People didn’t quit for golem week any quicker than they’re quitting for the current state of WvW.

First you say that we don’t have the right to complain ‘cos we did not even tried it.
When we complain after we tried it, you say if it’s just a few ppl complaining, the map is fine?

It is not. It’s a quaggan pve-map forced to be a wvw-pve-mix. It’s not fun for wvw.
And fun > everything else.

Not even with Qs on the map.

Okay, true, it’s more fun than watching esportz gw2 spvp, but that still doesn’t make it so enjoyable as the old BLs.

You can try to force ppl into it. Ppl will play it. Will they have so much fun that they never want to go back to EB? I doubt it. The map is flawed, and you can’t change that with more ppl there.

How can you know? Have you played the new map when there are more than 10 people on it? Everyone’s hiding in EBG because they don’t want to try an empty map. I’m not saying take EBG away forever. Just try a week without it. People will go to the other maps and play around a little. Maybe they’ll have fun. Maybe they won’t. The point is that we’d actually know rather than have people saying “I hate the new map. It’s no fun. I don’t know what’s happening and there’s nobody to fight.”

I did.
We had guildraids there. Enemy had 3-4 guilds there. We had Q on the map. Enemy probably did, too. We were attacking keeps. We were defending keeps.
As of now, it’s not so fun as old BLs.

The WP-system makes defending not important, the Upgrade/Dolly-system makes draining supply a lot harder/more time consuming.
The “complex terrain” makes fights more static as a lot of groups are just waiting for the other one to push into your choke instead of you pushing into their choke.
The “complex keeps” makes scouting alone almost impossible, you just can’t check every gate/cataspot/trebspot before a blob can take down a paper gate/wall if it’s not trebs.
Cannons/Oils are still unusable deathtraps against competent enemies, a lot of mortars are… dunno, not so usable as on old BLs (There you could use a lot of mortars to defend keeps, even if S defended N gate. Now I just can’t find a lot of use for mortars, only as “free” counter-trebs.)
“Fun to fight bosses” and “mechanics” (like wind turrets) makes fights more annoying than tactical, you simply can’t see f.e. the wind turrets inside a particle-boom GW2 have during combat.

It just feels like (and my guild agreed) a HoT pve-map which was dropped mid-development and was made into a wvw map.
And the enormous secret-quaggan-kitten room just salt into my wound, as it clearly was made with a lot of love, it’s awesome. Too bad I can’t say the same for the rest of the borderland from a WvW viewpoint.

Low-cost Band-Aids for WvW

We all know that the “WvW Team” don’t have enough resources for big and fast changes.
Let’s think about cost-efficient TEMPORARY solutions then!

0.) Let’s pretend we don’t have the Old BLs, they clearly don’t want to give them back to us “soon”.

0.5.) Reset:

  • Move the WvW Reset back to the old Friday time.

I am willing to be kicked out from WvW if they really update something during EU reset, it’s still better than the Saturday Reset. Saturday Reset makes Friday evening/Saturday meaningless for the PPT, the MUs are almost always decided for the last 2 days, it’s this way for years and I really doubt it will change.
(Personally I have zero motivation to cap a keep on Saturday morning as it’ll be reset soon, no point building defensive siege or scouting it, as prime time will be after the reset. )

1.) Map Control for Upgrading Keeps and Towers:

  • Turn off the upgrade-timer
  • Incoming Dolly still subtracts X minutes from it
  • (Optional fluff) Change the Timer and Minutes to Dollies x/y (i.e. 3/10 Until Next Upgrade), balance the amounts

This way you have to “Control” your map, you have to secure camps and escort dollies to upgrade your keeps/towers, giving at least something to do for roamers as they can finally stop an enemy objective from upgrading.
More Roamers -> More Defenders -> More action on the map.

2.) Player Interaction for Upgrading:

  • Give the Quartermaster back it’s previous role, you have to speak with him to start next Tier Upgrade.

This way you need players actively running to every Objective to start next Tier Upgrades. Dollies still giving Supply when no Upgrades running, but they will not count for next Upgrade.

3.) Oasis Event:

  • Disable it until you can fix every problem with it.
  • (Optional) Think about how it favors the bigger server and think about why did you place it in WvW. If you think it’s not working for that, don’t put it back.
  1. Rubberbanding: Right now it makes the whole map rubberbanding, even while solo-roaming, fighting for the event is basically impossible as you and your enemy will rubberband everywhere. No rubberbanding after the Event/Laser is over.
  2. Laser: It still damages walls in some Objectives (like SW Tower) and last time I checked you could Body Block the damage, so if you had a big blob next to the gate, it took less damage.

4.) Rethinking of the Barricades:

All it does is giving problems for Roamers while not blocking the blobs in any way.
A “full map blob” can destroy it in ~10 seconds while a Roamer has to spend minutes on it, even more if it’s a condi-build (I personally don’t have a problem with the increased time for condi-builds, but it’s still not healthy).

One not-so-low-cost idea:

  • Change it to “normal Wall”, only siege can destroy it. Less HP than Wall, not upgrading with Objective.
  • Make a “Burrow” under it, with a Global Usage-CD of X second (Similar to the EotM Wurm-teleport-thingy just with a CD, after a player crossed it others have to wait X seconds).
  • (Optional) It places you in Combat for Y seconds/minutes.

This way a solo-roamer can cross it without a problem, small groups can cross it fast, bigger groups have to think about what to do:
Destroy it, spending supply?
Go the other way, taking more time to get there, scouts have increased chance to spot you?
Wait until everyone can go through the “Burrow”, wasting even more time than going around?

That’s from me, but what kind of low-cost temporary fixes can You imagine?

It still amuses me that people decried added PvE content and mobs while also clamoring for the return of the removed PvE areas (centaurs) and mobs (veterans).

WvW players asked for centaurs ‘cos the Heavy Supply Bags needed for wvw upgrades and for Henry ’cos the daily is still there (not like anyone cares, it’s just quagganing annoying to see a daily which is impossible to do).

Most of the WvW players still hate the random PvE creatures in WvW, that didn’t changed.

Today the walls keeps flickering. Desert Borderland SE tower.

We breached it, but the wall seemed to still be up. We entered the tower, but it really was confusing to try and run in after the breach.

The walls are still wonky. Downed walls are flickering messes.

New WvW Feature Helping Ninjas!
If you destroy a wall, it’ll show as UP, Defenders will not see your Cata, you can re-use it after the enemy karmatrain took it, you can easily piviwall the same objective with 1 cata 5 times!
