Yes, I have said above that I dislike the GW2 PvP (I do like WvW) section, for many reasons, this being one of them.

Nope. I have never played an MMO PvP before (I’m not kidding).

People say GW2 PvP is one of the best, which for me was… shocking.

@Guardian of Angels:
The difference being, that is a sports event, and this is a game for entertainment.

Then why even bring up this argument in a game?

Let’s not add these comeback thingies, let’s focus on matchmaking and improve that where possible <3

Well I already brought up examples in my original post of (very successful) games.

Hm, I’ll try a different approach.

I’m currently 30 or 40 something-ish rank (at the end of Wolf). My best leaderboard ranking was 980 something, but I am usually in the 93-95% area. I use my own homebrew builds, don’t care about the meta. I would say I am decent.

Still, I dislike PvP in GW2. I was a thinking a lot about this, why I don’t like it. I usually do my dailes now that they are in the daily rotation for the rewards, always in ranked, sometimes I play unranked with friends. So I was thinking, I am generally a PvP type guy in all games, but not in this one. Why? What is different here?

I have identified many reasons, and one of them, was the lack of automated comeback mechanics that I was used to in other games I have played. Does this makes them warranted to be in this game? No, certainly not, but it is one of the reasons I could not really get into GW2 PvP.

When I finish a PvP match, win or lose, it is very rare that I say: ‘man, this was a fun game’, mostly it’s ‘meh, it’s over’. And I do think that has to do with the matches not really turning around as much as in other games.

With a real life analogy I could say, what I want to see is:
There are 2 marathon runners. Whoever is leading, gets 10 refreshment points (stations where you can drink), the one who is behind gets 12.

Is that unfair? Yes.
Does it make the marathon more exciting? I think: yes.

Waiting for Q pop is so boring...

@oneply:
That’s not really saying much. Yes, games have been won from 0-300 as well, it is possible, just like winning the lottery is. My suggestion is about the winning team not getting the upper hand as they are now, but instead let the losing team get a better chance at coming back, arteficially.

@Dwaynas Avatar:
I can see why people would think it is not needed, and it is true, it is not needed at all. It would just make for a bit more colorful play I think. Even if it improves the comeback rate by 5-10% that’s fair, in no way I would like the ‘better team’ to lose.

Bubi.7942

In my short carrier in PvP I have noticed that it’s pretty hard to comeback from a “lost game”. 95% of the time if your team is at 0 – 100 you have already lost basically.

Now you could go and say, that’s fine, why is it a problem if the better team is winning? And you are right, it’s not a problem, that is how it should be, but I’ve found that making a comeback in GW2 PvP is almost impossible. Now the best games I’ve played (in other games) were those were the tides constanty turned, making it intense. Most games do that by somehow arteficially increasing the odds of the losing team. This is done right via rewarding skilled, coordinated play, while not taking anything away from the “winning” team.
In GW2 we have none of that, au contraire the winning team gets the upper hand.

Let me explain through examples of what I am talking about:
- When a team has all 3 capture points, you can just “camp” the enemy spawn, preventing them frm retaking the capture points
- The winning team has easier access to the special objectives on the map (beast, lord, etc.)
- Getting the first kill in Courtyard decides the outcome of the match 80% of the time (because they are left with 4 and can never regroup properly)

How this is implemented in other games:
- In LoL when someone is on a ‘killing spree’ he gets a bounty on his head, taking him down is worth more than just taking out another player
- In LoL the more you die, the less you are worth
- In LoL you get bonus movement speed (with the right item)and an extra base exit in your home base
- In Team Fortress 2 point cap mode the losing team gets an upper hand by the last capture point being right next to spawn
- In Team Fortress 2 Payload mode the last part of the Cart rail sets you back (cart rolls backwards) if you do not push the Cart
- In LOTR-TBFMEII-TROTWK (yes, that’s a game, an RTS game) your ‘base’ fires arrows automatically, whitout any upgrade

Why would GW2 PvP want any of this?
- Well, it would basicly be an autobalance mechanism, so even the lesser teams would get a better chance at winning with smart play
- Would make for more ‘exciting’ matches
- Would require more strategy

Ideas on what could be implemented:
- Extra points for kills if someone is on a rampage
- Fewer points for kills is someone is dying a lot and not killing/assisting
- Quicker respawn for the team that is being beaten by at least 150 points
- Dunno

Well, if you truly want to just see the story whitout any challange whatsoever you can always youtube it…

I wouldn’t mind supereasymode for players who desire such things, but there are 2 things to consider:
- less “awards” for supereasymode
- in open world, we’ll get put into the same map, if we want to do challanging content together, we must be on roughly the same skill level

I consider myself an quite good player, for me the Story mode bosses/fights were a breeze. I would love if you could go for achievments on the first run, so I don’t have to repeat.

Anyway.

I actually think these bosses (in story) could even be a bit harder. Sorry if sounding harsh, but for “harder” open world events (like successful breach in SW) the average skill level for a player is just… awful. A lot of people do not dodge at lv80, have no idea about core boss mechanics, and refuse to change skills/traits (or listen to any advice).

If anything, these solo bosses should get you ready for more difficult encounters.

And as was said, you can just search for a party at any time, LFG tool is working quite well.

I finally had my 1st coat drop yesterday, after 30 tries (somewhere between 30 and 35). I guess another 30-35 to go. Better get to it.

About the preserverance buff:
Even if you somehow manage to enter a map with the Vinewrath already started, you get 1 stack + 1 for killing the thing, so you have at least 2 stacks when opening the chests (btw, preserverance reads it’s only good for Bandit Locked Chests, so it shouldn’t have an effect anyway).

Also you get the Hero of the Wastes buff right after the VW is dead, so you have that on when opening the chest.

Part 2

We jump in the breach, at least, most do, 2 guys walk in and die. I turn south and search for a poison bubble to pop. I pop it open, boss charges in it, it’s stunned. I summon an iZerker and 2 iDuelist using my Signet of the Ether. I place a Time warp. DPS is looking okay despite the 5-6 guys still at the breach entrance ressing the 2 guys who died or just AFKing.

The 2 bosses are nearing, they will collide in 5 seconds. I use /s aka local chat: “go ranged, quick”. Out of the 12 guys I have there 2 goes ranged, the rest dies at the bosses. Some new guys jump in the breach, and start ressing the dead. No one waypoints. With my 2 faithful guys, we do our best to stun the bosses, while others are being ressed, of course, they go down again in the next 2 times the bosses meet. My “please stayed at ranged when the bosses are together” seems to have no effect.

1 minute left. Silver is at 5%, we can kill it, but gold is almost full, not a chance. I see a warrior using hundred blades on bubble, that is nowhere near the bosses. I accept my fate.

Breach failed. Gold Teragriff and Copper Husk survived. Map chat goes wild “kittennoobs worst breach i’ve seen”. First guy retruns “I SAY NO AOE REDkittenTROLL COMMANDER”. I am unsure if he means me or the actual commander at Red. I am mad enough now to reply, altough I know I shouldn’t: “let me guess, 10 rangers stood at the ledge spamming 1 in AFK mode even tough the boss was out of range?”. “kittenTROLL” – I now know at least he meant me.

Vinewrath is coming up. I get ready my copypaste messages that I have made for it. The lane phase starts and out of the 15 people I have in my lane at least 7 are AFK. No matter, it’s doable anyway. We escort the siege, and engage on the Troll. People hide behind the honeycomb, and stay there troughout the fight. I see a lot of autoattacks, but some are just standing in the stack. “Please use skills to do damage” – I type that with a bit of sarcasm. Troll walks up to the Vinewrath, people are still autoattacking from the same spot, even with non-stop red text saying “obstructed”. Troll is at 10%, we got 30 seconds left. We get all boons from another lane and we manage to kill the troll with 10 seconds to spare. Luckily, no brain or tactics were required.

I paste my message for the Tresher: “Vinewrath boss#2 (tresher): Use reflection if it spins in the middle! Kill pustules -> touch white circles they leave behind for a buff. Get in the white cone shape when boss goes to the Vinewrath!” A guy goes: “shut up everyone knows what to do”. Tresher fails.

We manage to defeat the Vinewrath in the end, with little hopes I arrive at the chests. No Coat. Again. I get a Twister in a Jar from one of the Bandit chests. Deep inhale, slow exhale. Repeat.

“Let’s try to do a Labyrinth” – as I have 8-9 greater keys stacked up. “Please do the event at – I link in the Labyrinth POI – so the waypoint opens”. Around 20-30 people arrive at the Labyrinth. Exactly 1 does the event with me.

We are done with the event, 1 minute left of tier1 of the Labyrinth, chests opened: 79/100. We might just get to tier 2, I am starting to doubt my own memories of tier 3.

I rush the middle, to open the big chest as many times as I can to advance the tier. 4 guys are lying dead on the chest. I skew the camera all over the place, but cannot click on the chest. I have to revive, the WP is open by this point. Suddenly a Guardian leaps in with a Wolf following him, I swiftly invis with my torch, but the guardian is running straight at me. We both down and die.

I log out.

Part 1

I log in.

I skip trough the login reward for which I have to view the daily achievments even tough I don’t want to, whatch it slowly going away.

I waypoint to the Silverwastes, with a deep sigh, mumbling to myself, attempt 32, be kind Rngeesus and finally give me a Coat.

On arrival I notice that the “Next pact assault will begin in 5 minutes”. Fair enough. I pop open LFG tool, see 5-10 ads for “WARRIOR ONLY 5KAP ZERK!!!” in General PvE tab, and keep looking for the magic SW x% to pop up. A 60% pops up, I’ll try to join – too late, I wasted an extra second scratching my left ear and the party got full. Soon enough SW 80% pops up, I actually manage to join the party, but as expected, the map is already full.

The 5 minutes have passed and Pact assault has begun. Another sigh. Well, might as well get this show rolling. I tag up, like I tagged up in the past for the last 100+ times. Indigo or Red, Indigo or Red, can’t decide it depends on my mood really, I am feeling indigo today, but by the end of the run I know I’ll feel red.

“Anyone feels like tagging up for other forts?” – As always, no reply. I manage to solo the mordrem at indigo whtihin 5 minutes, and the first fort is on a roll now. “Can we get some tags for amber/blue/red?” – dead silence.

Click, LFG tool open once again. I start to type: “SW – 0% – need 3 more comms please”. About 15 seconds pass and a sylvari ranger joins my party, taxies in on me, leaves my party immidately. My LFG is erased. So I open it once again and type: “SW – just started – blue/amber/red commander needed”. A mesmer joins, asura. Leaves party, my LFG is erased.

In the meantime Red gets take “by the Pact”, we have done our first defense in Indigo, being the only commander on the map, I have 2-3 people around me now. “Can anyone tag up for other forts?”

Blue and Amber still untaken, Red does it’s first defense, we have done our second defense at Indigo. LFG time. “3 commanders needed for SW please”. A bit tricky, I didn’t use % this time. No one joins. I re-edit the LFG to SW 15% cause I am starting to be lazy about it, and I don’t want to type the same sentence over and over. Surprisingly, a group of 4 joins instantly on me. My LFG is erased. All taxi in, all are at map entrance. They linger around a minute in my party, before they start leaving. They are still at the entrance, none moving.

Indigo and Red progresses, we are 35%. Someone took amber in the meantime. Blue is still being ravaged by mordrem. I open LFG, type “35% – 3 commanders please”. In no time, my party fills up, they taxi in, leave party whitout a word. I reopen LFG – “SW – need 3 more comms 40%”. Party is full, they leave. “SW 40% – 3 comms needed”. I get supressed.

For the next 5 minutes, the map progresses silently, blue gets taken, map is at 60% when I can speak again. I don’t even care about commanders anymore. I open LFG – SW 60%. A group of 3 join me this time, and a 4th random guy. All of them taxi in. Someone is requesting a kick for the 4th random guy. It is confirmed. Soon after, I get kicked from my party.

Map is at 70%, thankfully I cannot LFG in any more people. I try one last time in map chat: "From the 40-50 people that I taxied in with “commander needed” anyone willing to tag up?" To my surprise, I actually get a response: “this is chestfarm map noob”. A guy actually tags up for Red soon after. I thank him in map chat: thanks for pitching in.

80%. Map is full, yet I still got the same 3-4 people at Indigo as in the beginning. And we just lost Blue to the mordrem. 80% indicates that I should get my copypastes ready, that I have on a notepad. I paste in the tactics for indigo: “Indigo Breach Boss: 1. Please DON’T kill Poison bubbles, only when bosses are near it, they stun the boss, 2. Use RANGED when the two bosses meet, you’ll die melee, 3. Try to focus one boss at a time!”
I paste in the tactics for red: "Red Breach Boss: Feel free to use AoE! “No AoE at red” is a myth, it’s not true. The small husks only give it regeneration. Use poison and give it all you got!"
As usual 1 guy in map chat goes “lol no aoe at red”. I try explaining: “the small husks don’t matter, it’s only regen, and you lose more DPS if you just spam 1”. Another guy goes: “bubbles heal it”. “true, but bubbles pop anyway after time, you just have to kite it away”. First guy again: “LOL NO AOE RED!!!”

I calculate. Amber defense should have about a 2 minutes timer, so breach in 2 minutes. Map chat: “breach ~2 mins”. In my mind this makes the AFK guys at spawn move, but that maybe just happening in my head, what I do notice is that people actually arrive at my fort, indigo.

I FINALLY got my first Carapace chest drop tonight and coincidentally I also had just got my last Kidney so I am wondering if your odds go up once the rest of the collection is in place besides the box, but it was probably just dumb luck. It would however explain how people are getting lots of drops AFTER they have completed their armor already.

Nah, I had kidney and eye done on day 2 when the boss came out (from saved up part bags). Killed Vinewrath at least once a day but on most days 2 times, sometimes 3 on weekends. No Coat. I am really starting to hate the SW community btw.

4. Is HoT gonna be available for gems?

Just saying that an offhand mesmer weapon (shield) would be pretty lackluster (considering mes already has 4 offhands and only 2 mainhands). Don’t be surprised if the classes that get a 1-handed weapon unlock may get 2 weapons at once (1 main, 1 off).

Would also mean mesmer gets 2 new weapon skills where as others, ranger and friends get 5. That’s pretty uneven.

I’m thinking mesmer mace. Cause mace is pretty underutilized.

Bubi.7942

I made a rant on this a year ago, which was very lenghty, so I’ll try to keep it short:

- 1 Game mode
- 4 Maps
- Maps are not really different, 3 points, 1 small twist
- It’s not satisfying to win – can’t really explain, whenever I win I feel like “okay, that’s over”, whenever I win in eg.: LoL I feel like “MAN THAT WAS AWESOME!” – even in faceroll matches
- Rewards are pretty bad
- Balance updates are rare
- Lack of customization – meaning gear, runes, sigils, no character/skill swap whithin matches
- No comebacks – 90% of the time if you have 10 – 100 points you’re gonna lose, there’s no coming back (again, in LoL it just takes some better coordination)
- Always the same goal – reach 500 points
- No real seasons, divisions, prizes, progression tracking – expect leaderboard which is… bad
- Few builds dominating
- No real skill – no matter how skillful you are, you are never gonna win 1v2 (given your enemy is decent) – dodge all you like, interrupt what you want, you are not gonna get the satisfaction of killing 2 Soldiers and the Medic with a Scout (TF2)
- Combat boils down to dodging and interrupting

Wintersday track is during Wintersday, simple as that.

I would also disagree that “completing” Wintersday PvE achievments is faster. Depends on what you mean by complete I guess. If you don’t count the “infinite” achies sure. If you do, that’s much more time than the reward track.

I know my advice is no good now, but if you did the Daily class winner achies, meaning 1 match per day (if won), you could have done it under 10 days.

I think crafting stations and MF won’t ever get put there cause that’s what the Royal Pass / Captian’s Airship Pass is for, don’t think Anet wants to ruin their own Gemstore items

Same, I’m using various in-game or gemstore skins, and won’t even bother making a legendary cause they are everywhere, and not even that good, especially some effects (can’t stand quip, ponybow or howler). I’m fine with Ambrite weps for my main, and various assortments for my alts.

I understand why it got removed, and there was a promise for a new better system to replace it. Which never happened. Now the useful suggestion get buried whtihin an hour in the General Discussion, cause there is nowhere else to write really fro PvE.

They should just do a sticky in each thread if they want to keep it that way in each forum called “Suggestions for xy” and that’s it.

@Reanne: You may be right, but I had a few suggestions that eerily resemble some things implemented in the game.

[Suggestion] Add a JP to Heart of the Mists

It would be nice if a Jumping Puzzle would be added to the Heart of the Mists. I mean many people are climbing on top of everything anyways, it would give you something to do while waiting for your match in queue.

It could be 5-10 minutes long, so you can complete it in between a few matches.

That’s it.

I would like if there would be more bodytypes added to the total makeover kits.

I would like fat norn, slim norn, not muscular norn. Same for other races. Is no one in Tyria fat? Come on! (yeah, I know it’s a lot of armor rework)

Disclaimer:
I do not own a legendary nor desire to aquire one in the near future, even tough I have the resources and everything crafted ready for it.

Topic:
So with Legendaries 2.0 promised to come 1+ year ago and still not being out, and seeing the same ones on tons of people, these items I think have lost a lot of appeal they might have had earlier on. Also, a lot of the normal weapons/gemstore stuff simply look a lot better.

Well, here is a small idea on what can be done about them, to make the invested time/effort more rewarding for players who want to “show off” a bit more (cause let’s face it, that’s all they are good for):

Suggestions:
1. Add selectable unique footfall effects for each Legendary
2. Add selectable unique colors/special effects to each Legendary
3. Add selectable unique soundeffects to each Legendary

Elaboration:
This could be done via the Collection achievment thing. For instance each Legendary could have 5 different visual effects, 5 different footfall effects and 2-3 different sound effects, which you ould select and apply to your weaqpon, if you own the specific types of effects. This would let people uniquely customize their weapons and not just be like, “oh, another eternity… gz i guess”. This could be done from the Hero panel either from under wardrobe or a new menu point.
Previously acquied Legendaries would of course unlock the Footfall/Visual/Soundeffect they already have.

Costs:
Of course eahc of the effects would be super pricey hard to get. Some could be tied to doing scavanger hunts (thikn Mawdrey), and some to putting in insane amount of gold (eg.: Dump 250 kitten, t3, t4, t5, t6 Bloods in Mystic toilet to get Blood footfall effect for your Thingamajig).

Example:
Charrlemagne the Fuzzybutted decides that he is bored of his Bolt. He decides to make Candy visual effect on it, for which he throws 84 billion Candy Corns and 3 asuras in the Mystic Forge. He applies Candy effect to his Bolt, and now it has a dripping Candy glaze effect on it. But that is not enough for our hero, he decides that he would like if his footfalls would be splattered quaggans, cause he is into that. So he throws 250 kitten Scales into the forge. He apllies Splattered Quaggan Footfall effect to his legendary and has dead quaggans in his wake now. He is satisfied with the audio effect however, and would not like to go for the “you-swinged” each time he swings Job-o-Tron effect.

With the forums ever-so cluttered up, especially so with the elimination of a lot of topics suggestions, which generally give pretty decent ideas and/or feedback get buried in “General Discussion” whithin minutes.

I think it would be high time to bring the old thread-cluster back, which was a valuable resource for both devs and players.

Not to mention you can’t even name your thread properly as you have to type [Suggestion] in front of it every time, thus decreasing your character limit.

[Suggestion] Guild upgrade - Track progress

in PvP

Posted by: Bubi.7942

Bubi.7942

Hello!

A very simple suggestion to make Guild upgrades (the things you can build from your guild tab) a bit more useful:

Name: Bountiful sparring

- Art of War level 5 (or 6 required)
- 5 merits, 5000 influence
- Build time: 1 day (or 36 hours)

Effect:
+10% (or 5 – 15%) Reward track progress for PvP

Applicable restrictions:
- Does not work in practice/custom matches
- Does only work in Ranked games

Why?
Cause why not, more actually useful guild upgrades is good.

That’s a different thing.

Those are capped so that new players can catch up eventually. Not because of AP hunters not wanting to do them…

I honestly hate the current AP design. Why dont’ Anet give AP to everything. Like I should get AP for doing dungeons, fractals, spvp, wvw.

Uhmm… you do get AP for doing dungeons in form of Hobby dungeon explorer and the collection. There is also a tab dedicated to Fractals. There is also a tab dedicated to PvP. There is also a tab dedicated to WvW (altough those are lol – at the current rate I’m gonna get Yakslapper in 60 more years – note, same bad design as with WD achievments).

You said no one will have a problem with it. I actually have.

Why can’t people get AP if they actually like the activities. It’s almost like Anet remove a bunch of AP just because the “AP completionist” dont’ like it because they can’t finish every single AP.

Not sure what you mean. You mean it should be really infinite to not cap AP,? Cause that’s what I suggested, among others.

There should be 100 activities all give AP everyday. And if the AP completionist can’t complete it all, screw them. It’s almost like ANet caped AP just because some completionist can’t do them all.

The “100 activities a day” is actually the rest of the game. And you can freely choose to do them, cause they are not limited content.

My point is if you dotn’ like them, dont’ do them. Why can’t someone actually like doing it get some rewards out of it.

Again, that’s not the point, nor is it an argument to justify badly designed achievments.

-also snip-

The flaw with your argument is that it assumes this is all-or-nothing. You think players will either max out the AP, or not do any at all. It’s perfectly plausible for a casual player to complete one or two iterations in one activity. Or maybe one iteration in a couple of activities.

As I said before, the achievements are meant to be infinite. The AP cap is high enough to simulate infinity, for the average player. But there is a cap, because otherwise a tiny segment of the population would attempt to take advantage of it, if there weren’t.

As the numbers show, it is far from simulating infinite. Basicly most of them have 5 tiers and that’s it. As you can see in the my previous post, 3 out of 4 activities are whithin comprehension, 1 is not. Why?

- No one would have a problem with this, if it was truly infinite
- No one would have a problem with this, if it didn’t gave any AP at all
- No one would have a problem with this, if it gave AP only on the first completion

So again, why this awful, careless decision?

Bubi.7942

As stated before in this thread: these achievements aren’t meant for grinding, they’re to give a little reward to people who particularly enjoy doing one of the activities. It’s not really intended that people max out even one of them, let alone all of them.

The problem lies in those players who feel compelled to do so, even though they know they won’t enjoy it and know it’s not worth their time.

Are they?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. Let’s put aside all that has been said here before and let’s try to think with a new perspective. The dev’s perspective. Here are a few questions:

For who is this achievment designed for?

- Casual players?
Certainly not, they will most likely never finish 30 rounds of Snowball Mayhem (SM from now on, ironic) or any other activity, will likely not even complete 1 tier

- Is it a reward for those who enjoy it?
Fair enough, but does anyone enjoy SM that much that they will dedicate 30 hours of pure playtime (that’s not counting wee-wee breaks, phone calls, heck, actually talking with your family etc..). So in reality it’s more close to 40-45 hours but let’s stick with 30. Be honest, do you think, that anyone, who plays this cause it’s fun, will complete the repeatable track?

- AP hunters? – Most likely, cause even if you enjoy it (and I must say again, I like all WD activities) you’ll never do this ‘accidently for fun’. You have to push yourself to get it done.

So I’ve come to the conclusion that the repeatable track rewards are for AP hunters. Why else would you put so much rounds in it?

But wait, there’s more.

I find SM being the main culprit here. I don’t find Bell land, Toypocalypse or JP too out of touch with reality, they are doable, you can spread out your time and do them, sure. But let’s take a closer look at SM, and see how it sticks out.

Do the math with me!

Bell choir: 26,25 full games required – 1 game is 8 mins long + 2 mins waiting time etc. So 10 mins. That’s ~ 4 hours 20 mins total.

Winter wonderland: 75 full games required – 1 game is 2,5 mins long, add some dying and mistakes, and you’ll get 3,5 mins of avarage run. So that’s 75×3/60 = That’s 4 hours 20 mins total again… (depending on skill, add or take away 1 hour)

Toypocalypse: You need 15 full games. An avarage game is about 15 mins long, plus 2 mins waiting time. So completing it takes: 4 hours 15 mins.

Snowball Mayhem: You need 150 rounds total. An avarage game is 10 mins long + 2 mins loading, get ready stage. That’s 30 hours for total completion.

Please take a good look at these numbers. Can we conclude, that something is really kittened up here?

Next quesiton:
Why is it this way?

- My best guess: Someone at Anet took a look at Bell choir which is 210 songs total, Toypocalypse, which is 150 rounds total and said: “Hey, if those are 150-210, SM should be fine with 150 too, even tough I have no idea how long these activities take individually.”

Final conclusion:
The decision made on the rounds to maxing out SM is a careless, toughtless, non-caring random number thrown in.

Edit: Oh and the result of all this? Well, see for yourself: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/AFK-in-Snowball-Mayhem/first#post4646075

If you find it boring, move on. Previously my goal is to get map completion on 40 toons. But it start getting really boring, so I’m stuck on 25. I didnt’ come on the forum and start complaining about it because I can’t make 40 map completion.

This analogy is not really simulating the situation here. Let me try to put it in a form that represents the problem better. So you like map completion, that’s ok, I don’t really like it, but if it’s your thing, why not (as completing the repeatables is not your thing, but it is mine).

The difference is, that for map completion, you have infinite time, for the WD repeatables, the time is limited. Imagine if you had to do map completion under 1 month, everything you do after 1 month, just doesn’t count for it, and you can never finish it.

Also, in order for Forsgorge Sound completion, you have to defeat the Claw of Jormag 150 times, cause that unlocks a POI. Per character. I hope that sheds a better light on the problem.
