Me and my friend are searching for 3 players to fill our squad. Here’s what we expect from you:
- be able to play multiple classes depending on the meta
- be mature enough to accept constructive criticism and improve with us as a team
- decent english for voicecom
- you are/were in the top1000 in either leaderboard
- no super high rank requirement because it only shows your matches played and not your actual skill – r30 and 400+ tournament matches are a must though for the type of experience we want
- be ambitious and aim for the top
- can practice at least 4-5 days a week in the evening (exceptions can always be made of course)
If you think you are the person that wants to play in a mature rage-free environment and climb the tpvp leaderboard with friendly people then feel free to apply. We can provide a reliable TS server and a team custom arena as well.
So now with the release of solo queue 99% of the playerbase will never even consider forming a team and play PvP how it should be played. There was no team promotion before and it doesn’t look like there will be any from now on. The same teams that play from the first beta like Curse (ex Paradigm) will continue to play with the other 5-6 known teams untill the game is physically dead. There is no platform that helps people find other fellow pvpers to create a team except the LFT forum which is almost completely dead and people below rank 50 (which shouldn’t be a skill display anyway) are not even considered as tryouts. Can you please explain to me at what part of this whole year did you focus on the so called “esport” aspect you kept advertising before the release?
Achievements in a different game shouldn’t affect the leaderboards in this one regardless of what anyone says. This boost was obviously made so that people who care about their points are forced to buy the dated old GW1 if they want to be competitive here so that A-Net can milk a bit more money out of it.
So apperantly you thought that it was a good idea for the players that already finished the race to be able to go back and use traps on the rest that are still trying to reach the end? I thought you were going to bring a really great minigame for the first time but I guess I was wrong and you rushed your content again.
Pretty much how I’ve always played my thief, props OP. I wonder how long it will take all the s/d wannabes to start playing with this build considering how they get destroyed by conditions and that’s where the meta seems to be going.
So they can’t play their zerg friendly build in a non zerg friendly game type .. . (types slower as the sentence goes on).

I have yet to fight someone in WvW outside a zerg who isn’t a backpedaling tool.
Just bad excuses for people who can’t put effort into learning the pvp in this game and just want to spam 1 on gates and 1 with arrows carts.

Are you planning on making two separate leaderboards (one for solo queue and one for premades) and creating a better matchmaking which focuses on pairing people on similar lb rank and not just players that queued at the same time?
Another self-proclaimed guru. After reading your statements on Spectral Walk being a bad skill, staff not being a good choice and glasscanon thieves being bad in spvp I’ve pretty much had enough.
1. Different leaderboards for solo queue and premade teams
2. BETTER matchmaking which doesn’t match players in the top 10 of the leaderboard with players outside of the top1000. I’ve personally experienced this. I prefer waiting longer and get to play against players on my current skill level than get steamrolled 500 to 10.
3. A system that encourages players to create teams and play the game how it’s meant to be played – in a team environment. The current “I’m rank 50 so I’ve played X amound of games more than you which supposedly makes me a better player for team X” is not the right way to judge people’s skill level. I’ve seen plenty of rank 40-50 people which are not better than your average beginner. A convenient LFT/LFG tool is always welcome.
I’ve played with rank1 players while I was ranked in top1000. I fail to see how someone can be in top1000 while being rank 1. (he hasn’t played more than 5 games or so)
The matchmaking is currently the same joke as it was before. Make a different leaderboard for premades and then we can start off something.
The bosses were definitely a step in the right direction. People should be trying to avoid damage and not just tank&spank which is basically 90% of the permanent dungeon content in the game. Sad to see that the effort of designing this is wasted for a 1 time event.
Never seen any bots myself. Not sure what the point of that would be either. Increase your rank at the cost of your leaderboard position? hmmm
Not sure about that myself, but it’s still a fact. Maybe they just farm for achievement points and don’t care about PvP rankings. The reasons can be many.
I don’t know if someone has mentioned this before but I’ve encountered several players which were obviously not playing the game themselves and were using a bot. All they did was walk to a capture point and die there doing nothing. It was plain obvious. They also didn’t respond to messages and whispers at all. Since an eventual tournament win grants more rank points and glory than a regular hotjoin game, it’s become a better place for them to farm apperantly.
You’re pretty naive if you believe precursor prices would drop by a lot with CoF receiving a nerf. If you can’t play the TP or spend money on gems in this game, you can probably hope for a precursor in several years or more.
How are dynamic events the end-game,? Are you playing the same game as the rest of us? Doing the same events over and over again is fun? How? What do you get out of it?

This is downright silly, and way overdue for a nerf. It’s a bad situation when 99% of your game comes down to “gee, I could be mindlessly farming this easy path and making 10-20x as much as I am right now!” And it shows – this dungeon is clearly run more than any other combined. I don’t have the exact numbers Robert has, but I can see what is on gw2lfg.
If you’re going to have something in the game that’s so much more profitable than everything else, at least make it difficult (like high level fractals). 4 War 100b + mes is a problem as well, but not as much of a problem as this path. As others have pointed out, it’s entirely possible to get somewhat close to the efficiency with any good group, and still make far, far more than you do anywhere else.
I’m not trying to be negative; I understand things take time. But this is ridiculous, and it is crazy ANet hasn’t at least Smiter’s Boon’d it until they could get an actual rework going. A great bit of damage has already been done as gold grind skewed the entire high-level economy…and that damage won’t ever really go away, just as we are still feeling the effect of the (no bans!) goldskull exploit.

Nerfing the only somewhat decent way of obtaining something in this game that doesn’t involve real life currency is an amazing solution. Oh wait.
almost 1 month of doing level 20 to 26 FOTM, no skins have dropped for me.
That tier of chest is garbage for Fractal skins. Seriously, get up to the 40’s and then you’ll start seeing some skins (unless you get incredibly lucky).
I’ve gotten all my skins from that “tier” and no skins from 30+ or 40+.
1. Remove achievement points from dailies.
2. There should be 2 tables for sPvP ranks – 1 for teams and 1 for solo.
3. We should be able to see our personal rank.
I drive a liquid-cooled Alienware Aurora R3. My monitor is a 23" 1080p Alienware 3D monitor. I am an experienced high end PC enthusiast and overclocker.
I love that this community attacks anyone who has any kind of criticism of nonsensical elements of the game. Firstly, I know you’re supposed to stand in the circles to down the wraith before he resets, I never said it was bugged. But we were already down players, and the new build prevented us from getting replacements, and then we couldn’t clear the trash guarding one of the circles.
You were trying to prove how “super risky” it is to play with precursors and I simply explained to you that playing with precursors to some people is like playing with a lower price market to you. Considering there are so few precursors being put on the TP, it’s not a big deal for some people to mess with them.
