Fixed an issue in which the Triple Trouble timer would sometimes not start correctly.
We are so excited to officially launch our Dolyak Express Community initiative! If you’re not familiar with the Dolyak Express, you can read the original post about it called Many Questions, So Dev. For the first batch of questions, the Community Team searched all four language forums for a variety of great questions. You can see the follow up with answers here!
We are maintaining an archive of all Dolyak Express Q&A sessions. The archive is a stickied post, and will be updated each time we post new topics.
In the future, we may pick questions again from our forums, but for most Dolyak Express Q&As, we’ll open them up to specific topics. We’re now opening up a thread for questions and here’s your topic: World vs World!
Please refer back to the Many Questions, So Dev post for guidelines on asking your questions.
Howdy again. I actually saw the thread, as I was reading this sub-forum. It was not reported by any players. If you have issues with Moderation, the Moderation policies or suggestions, you can email forums@arena.net. Discussions of Moderation are not allowed on the Guild Wars 2 forum.
We do understand the frustration and tendency for name-calling and such. That being said, we do not allow it in-game or on the forums. If you see this behavior in-game, please report it. If you see it on the forums, please report the post so the Moderation Team can resolve the issue.
So when we run into Anet people in game you don’t want to talk to us?
But I want to give you hugs and cake? Do you not want cake? Though come to think of it, I’ve never seen Anet people on JQ. I’ve seen you guys on other servers (even as enemies in WvW). Seen you while guesting on Tarnished Coast. But no JQ….
Ah, but don’t worry I don’t actually want to harass you guys in-game. I figure you are running around playing.
I fly with my tag on quite a bit. I seem to have plenty of great conversations. And cake.
As this thread has gone off-topic and the previous request to be respectful has been ignored, we are shutting down this thread. Please remember it is acceptable for people to criticize and share their concerns and it is appropriate to be respectful when you disagree or wish to debate.
Our goal is to make sure the forums are a safe, constructive, and welcoming place for all of our community members. We welcome discussions regarding player concerns, and we ask you to keep personal attacks, name-calling, and off-topic posts out of this thread.
It is extremely helpful to pass around to other community members when you see feedback which isn’t all that constructive. Our hope is that it will encourage folks to express both positive & negative feedback in a constructive manner. This is imperative for the Developers when looking for said feedback.
Hello all! We’ve been watching your questions and they’ve been quite wonderful. We’re locking the thread now so we can send it off to get answers. Once we have all the responses, we’ll get it localized and post back here with the answers!
The Community Team is collecting all of the Dolyak Express Dev Q&A posts into one archive, so you aren’t missing out! If you’re unfamiliar with the Dolyak Express, you can read about this latest Community initative here.
For security reasons, discussions of Exploits/Hacking/Cheating are not allowed on our forums. If you witness any of these acts while playing, please report them using the in-game ticketing system so our Customer Support team can properly investigate the issue. In the case of exploits, you can also send any reports of exploit activity or knowledge to Exploits@Arena.Net to ensure the development team is aware of them.
As this thread has gone off topic to the original post, we’re closing it down. As a reminder, discussing in-game bans, moderation, and the like is forbidden in our Forum Code of Conduct. Please refrain from discussing these topics, even in jest.

Why is it called “Many Questions so Dev” if the project itself is called “Dolyak Express”? I guess it’s a joke, but I don’t get it. Also, where do you guys get your questions? I thought there would be a thread for people to ask them. Are they instead just gathered from around the forums at large?
The Many Questions, So Dev was indeed a silly meme joke. It was to announce the program itself as a more informal post, with an added Colin meme!
A suggestion for forum mods: I think “Many Questions so Dev” should have its visibility drastically increased. It’s in a 20 days old sticky, and if I didn’t look at Dev Tracker I probably would’ve missed it.
I’m actually in the middle of writing up a new post for questions. Plus, we’ll have an archive set up so you can always see the past Dolyak Express Q&A.
We can easily refund Guild Wars 2 as noted on the Refunds page when you have purchased from http://buy.guildwars2.com/. For authorized retailers, you should check for their individual policies.
If you wish to get more information, you are welcome to submit a Support Ticket for further clarification.
Hey CC, you think we can create Fractals Subforum? Normally those topics are inside of Dungeons subforum, but it’s a clash of two communities. While Fractals are having their own reward system, battle system, agony resistance system, I think they deserve their own subforum where discussions would not clash with those of dungeons. What do you think?
If you wish to pitch the idea, drop an email to forums@arena.net so we can discuss it.
Wait…isn’t this idea of Romo’s a suggestion? lol I don’t even know where to post stuff anymore.
Yes, but it wasn’t a game suggestion. Suggestions for the Community Team regarding the forum should come directly to us. Hope that helps.
I assume the lore forum is going to be expanded upon, right? So players can talk everything story-related there, like the living story and the personal story.
What I can say is that we are not finished with the forum changes.
As there has not been any inflammatory remarks in this thread, I’m not sure why there was a reminder regarding the moderation of threads. Maybe I’m personally missing something.
Just to help keep things transparent in the process…there have been 5 posts on this thread which you aren’t seeing. Hence the request to keep it constructive and respectful to all.
There’s quite a few good discussion threads that have been moved to the trashcan, just because one or two posters made nonconstructive posts.
I wanted to touch on this specifically.
First, our forum software does not allow us to split off posts from threads. Our only course is to lock a thread, delete each post, or remove the whole thread.
Second, we’ve been working with the Moderation Team to try to save or even close the threads, versus removing the whole thing. There are a lot more threads out there which are receiving Moderator notices when they go off the rails, so folks can get back on-topic. Our hope is that with a more streamlined forum, we can concentrate on making the experience better.
I much prefer to keep a thread, unless it goes off the rails. If we have more infractions in a post than we have good posts, it is easier to remove it or lock it, so the discussion can “reboot” as it were.
Given certain trolls seem to be free to post as they please and mods frequently edit posts to make language less negative i doubt this is a good thing,
In regards to coming across posts that violate the rules, rather than reply in kind, please report any Code of Conduct violations you come across. Thousands up thousands of posts are made every single day and although we wish we could review them all, it’s just not physically possible, so any assistance we can get from players like you using the report function are greatly appreciated.
From what I heard, they want people to make suggestions in the sub-forums most related to the area of the game. I’m not sure how useful that will be in the long-run though; it’ll be better in the sense that it will foster more discussion from players interested in that game’s aspect, but having suggestions spread out across the forums may make it harder to keep track of them, especially on sub-forums that are very fast-moving.
I’ll quote myself from another thread:
We want people to make suggestions in the sub-forums which make sense for their ideas. As example, if you have an idea about sPvP, you can and should post it in the sPvP sub-forum.
The development teams are very excited about this change.
So if you have a suggestion about the forum ? I doubt the “Forum Bugs” section would be the place to go post “Suggestions” on..
You can email forums@arena.net so the whole Community Team can see your suggestion. That being said, you’re making a fair point. Would this be something which would be valuable?

If you change your browser languages appropriately, you will see the corresponding user agreements. As example, if you are using Chrome, you can go into your settings and allow for English (United Kingdom), French, Spanish, and German. Once you have done that, you will see the appropriate User Agreements.
If you change your language to one of our other supported languages, you can then click on the User Agreement page and see it in French, German, or Spanish.
The thread wasn’t deleted from the revamp; it was removed because it discussed botting/hacking and whatnot, which is not allowed on the forum. Just in case anyone wondered where the previous thread went.

We do not mind a discussion about the changes, but please keep it on-topic without inflammatory comments or we will need to close the thread. As always, you can give suggestions about the forums and the forum structure directly to the Community Team at forums@arena.net

This week, you will be seeing various sub-forums move around and some of the general structure will change. We’re not just removing and moving sub-forums, but we’ll even be adding a sub-forum that many of you have requested!
We’re excited about this change, as it will allow our team to find quality posts and suggestions. We know that many of you feel there has not been much “dev attention” in some of the sub-forums, so hopefully you’ll love these new changes once they’ve all been implemented.
In review of this thread, it appears that most of it strayed off-topic and the Moderation Team had to remove many inappropriate posts. With that in mind, this thread will be closed. If you wish to start a new thread, regarding the original topic, you are welcome to do so, as long as you keep personal attacks and inappropriate material out of it.
