Thorn stalkers could have been guarding the seeds… but if they were TS seeds why wouldn’t the seed simply yield another Thorn Stalker? (if TS reproduce like that).

Do you have Nightfall? if so start there get heroes and get hero amor, easy points.

Ask in Kamadan for the price of Niks’ gift if they are still going for 4.5 – 5 do the farm and sell them, use the money for norn/asura/ebonhawke armor or try with minis (year 1 & 2 whites used to go for less than 5.

Look for a partner to do the trapper ranger farm (youtube) and sell the zkeys again buy armor sets and/or minis.

While not farming Nik’s/Zkeys do the story lines start with the expansions (Factions, Nightfall) Prophecies is long… EOTN does not give a title. Sorrows furnace is easy to do solo.

War in Kryta is guaranteed weapon and soloable, more easy points.

So basically the only time you need a partner is the trapper ranger farm, everything else you can solo. Happy hunting.

As a rule of thumb whenever you start a PUG take a screenshot. It sucks that it happened but its time to move on and be prepared for the next time.

I don’t see any valid argument which opposes this suggestion. I mean seriously, the guys with: “Anet said so and thus nothing will change.” That argument is just embarassing. You’re not even able to bring any solid arguments and you still are against this idea. Again, how is this going to be a gear grinding fest ? HOW ? Ok, let me enumerate a few from the top of my head.

1.) Puts up an unfair advantage versus normal people who have to carry around many types of armor and weapons for different builds. Where they have to grind a bit more to get a particular stat, you don’t. (ofc you can always argue that the legendary is a massive grind in itself, however the primary objective there is the skin anyway). Why is this bad? Because having a legendary is merely a testament to your hard work (and luck), not a title for privileges or rights, and in this case, convenience. The only right you get is the medal in the opening screen and bragging rights. So while it doesn’t add an advantage per se in terms of combat, it does add an advantage in gameplay.

By the Logic on point 1 then to me anyone with a bag larger than 15 slots (which I have) has an unfair advantage because they can carry more gear than me. The reason some people have larger bags is because they grinded more than me, same concept can be applied to this suggestion.

dude, it’s like canned 12 silver. i just carry them around until something breaks (not damages, breaks), then use it for a free repair on the fly. it’s great for saving time.

So switching between stats that are already available for the same type of weapons (crafting stats I assume since those are the “default ones”) of similar level exotics.

Would be no different than using trans stones to transfer stats or switching weapons before a fight…

If its done like this it would simply be a “convenience” thing not unlike the spirit of Anets rewards. I like it.

Again as long as its a switch between already available in game stats combinations, I think its a nice incentive for the hard work.

The problem wit leveling loot is that if you are farming for jute scraps and only get high level gear to salvage you will get silk instead.

Not sure how to respond here, endgame as a concept has been warped too far to make any sense anymore.

I enjoy the game very much my 3rd toon is 79 (can’t wait to finish later tonight) so that is 3 lvl 80s and I haven’t even run all dungeons (about 4 SM and 3 EM paths) so I still have a long way to go to try out everything in the game.

IMO the current “common” concept of endgame is just incompatible with GW2. I want my Thief to have CM armor… and I could run that dungeon since lvl 40 far from top level.

I support enemy body blocking as long as rolls can by pass them. Friendly body blocking is a no for me.

Edit – Obviously not at the cost of performance, if it can’t be done right then don’t.

There is already an item on the works to change hair color, it was discovered in the DB a while ago. When will it be implemented is unknown.

Not the OP but will venture that it would show off tattoos (Norn at least) not that useful for Norn female toons since they would show their underwear which doesn’t look good but males can go all “barbarian”.

As other posted there are options for both genders to show off lots of skin at least on the heavy and light side… not sure about medium, so a bit redundant imo.

Can it be done solo?

Yes, I finished all 3 campaigns + EOTN expansion + WiK + HOTN which basically tells the complete story in the 3-4 months before the release of GW2 (did it for HoM rewards got 30/50).

The one that I never got around to complete was the Winds of Change…. I do remember failing a lot but keep in mind that was the end of a long marathon and I already had 30/50 HoM so my determination was waning.

Should you do it?

Just completing the story line should not take you long. 3-4 months includes all the grind I had to do to get the HoM rewards so I would say at least cut that time in half. I was playing 4 hours daily (on average).

Edit – I would definitively go back and finish WoC if the GW2 next expansion is in Cantha, and if they ever get to finish the “GW beyond” missions for Nightfall I would return too as that campaign is my favorite.

I have to agree with others joining a good guild (good does not mean a big or known guild just a group of nice people).

When guildies run a dungeon I ask if they want me to take my Necro, Warrior or Guardian and the usual response is “whichever you prefer” at most I’ve been told there are already 2 of X profession.

OP There is a way to get an instant lvl 80 of another class that can be bought with money: Roll desired class, got to LA, and power level through crafting to 80. If you need gold buy it with gems.

In PVE all professions do well so whichever you liked more (or disliked less?) is good. I would not dismiss Necro and Guardian because of your friends as you can play a different build/role.

Don’t dismiss Warriors either some people consider them dull because they play them with signets only or focus to much on DPS. Banners can really make a difference when used correctly same for Shouts and they have many abilities that interrupt, which makes it a rush to wait for the “right moment”.

As time goes by more weapons will be added. A two handed axe sounds nice.

Oh you mean the statues, armor sets, etc! yeah I wondered why weren’t the remains of the statues/tapestries there.

I figured when they left for Ebonhawke (Gwen’s tomb is there) they took everything and is probably in some library.

kinda missed the point about the fee… I was just giving you a way to reconcile why they let you do it one way and no the other with a “fun” explanation. Instead of a cold answer of " to limit players and maybe sell a BL trader express every now and then".

Mail? you mean stuff bought with gems? Well delivery cost is included for those items in the price in gems. For regular stuff you can pay for the services of the BL express merchant or pick them up.

As for why can you sell in the middle of nowhere… why do you think you pay a 5% fee up front? ;-)

Anet has gone on record saying that classes must be distinctive from one another. Not sure what have they not covered yet, but another caster is probably not on their plans. Not talking about the source of the magic (arcane vs elemental) but rather the mechanics if a large number of skills are similar “in spirit” to current Ele skills it would be redundant.

Right now the 3 light classes have a “signature” that defines them, all 3 classes can do AoE damage and “throw magic balls” but Necros have their minions, Mesmer have their clones and Ele have attunements. What would set the “wizard” apart from an Ele?

The answer can not be diff weapons…. it has to be a whole class mechanic.

I’ve always thought the skills fire off as needed then recharge to fire off again.

Is sPvP random groups? it could be tested there.

I have toons in both genders. Why the female ones? I usually give my toons backgrounds and sometimes the background just “fits” for females. Part are genre conventions like the sexy but deadly spy or the hot sorceress depicted in almost every fantasy movie ever.

Other reasons include what you are a fan off. for example I love Buffy the vampire slayer, so I feel inclined to pick a “warrior” female toon over a male one. I suspect many people have similar reasons… even if they don’t like to admit them.

Anyway for insight here are my choices.

Norn male guardian. I felt that a guardian would be protective of others… this make, IMO, guardians a top choice for a being a cook (as preparing and sharing food is one o the primary ways of “taking care” of other people) and I associate cooks with males.

Norn Female Warrior I have a thing for the “bad—s” female fighter as I’m a fan of Whedon’s and Tarantino’s type of female characters.

Human Ele female grew up in the 80s all sorceress are hot, female and wear skimpy clothing.

Silvary ranger male this could have gone either way, but there is of course a strong influence by Chuck Norris Lord of the rings, though in this case my choice was driven byt the fact the my Silvary Thief was a female.

Silvary Thief female The female spy, sleek, sexy, mysterious and deadly too many examples in fiction and real life.

Asura Mesmer Female My mesmer is as playful deceiver… an enigma full of surprises. So I decided for a female since my grilfrends have always been a pleasant enigma full of surprises (in a good way) or perhaps beyond the male capabilities of understanding? =P

Asura Necro Male Diablo 2 pretty much cement the idea that necros are male.

Charr Engi male based purely on my made up backgrounds, I liked the idea that my engi got tricked to help my female “helpless” thief in one of her schemes and they became somewhat friends after that

I think its just a case of unfortunate naming… how would you call a wallet if the word did not exist? since gold is the top currency a wallet becomes a “bag of gold”.

If instead of “bag of gold”, they named it “bag of money” it would not cause the disappointment.

I too was teased by the “bag of gold” xD at least its a funny story to tell, lol.

Why should Anet change the gold exchange rate (which is driven by players supply and demand) so you or anyone else do not violate the TOS that you agreed to comply with when you bought the game?

If you or anyone else feels “forced” :rolleyes: to buy from a GS then by all means do so, violate the TOS that you agreed to and get banned when you are discovered.

I really hope every time you want something it is something that you can afford. It would be really sad if you are “forced” to steal because the price is too high and you were left with no choice.

5% is not a tax its a fee. the service you payed for is listing the item. If you want to re list again you have to pay again. Think of it as the cost to putting an ad.

+ 1 on blueprints being freed…. I only do wvw for monthly but have several guildies who can use those bp to get me nice world bonuses. Right now I just find any tower and drop the bp that is taking up storage space. and forget about it. doubt this is intended

Yes they are craftable if you have the Halloween mats necessary.

I’m sure more will pop up in the TP as time goes… prices though, may not be to your liking, after all supply will be low.

Mr Smith, regarding your response to point 4: A quick check on www.gw2spidy.com will indicate not only are most items sold at cheaper than the cost of crafting, even the ones that can ‘make a profit’ experience high risk to benefit ratio (I’m not sure if this is the exact economics term for it), i.e. You spend 3g crafting something for a chance to make 10s profit.

Yesterday I leveled Leatherworker from 125 to 300 with a 35 silver profit.

It took like 1 hour of going back and forth the crafting station to TP npc (I only had 40s starting capital, so couldn’t buy in bulk and had to sell items to regain capital to buy more mats).

I usually post saying that profiting while leveling a craft is hard and that one should only expect to profit after max craft, but it is not impossible.

I will say this not everyone can do it, not because of lack of “skills” simply because the market changes fast. The items I sold had buy orders starting in 15.90 silver and it cost me about 11 silver to make. By the time I was done the buy orders were at 13s effectively making it impossible to profit there anymore.

If I had posted a selling price and waited, I might have had a better return but my goal was to powerlevel and hopefully break even (which is my usual experience) this time I was pleasantly surprised.

Op you can craft the item (but it will take effort to gather all mats estimate 1-2 months ) or buy it from the TP if you have gold lying around.

Karma jugs every “x” number of days that a player has remained in the same server. like 20 extra jugs for a month or something like that.

I would love to have a costumes / hats collectible tab, they are account bound anyway and it will keep everything more organized, plus it may spark a “collect them all” fever.

Would have loved if the tower could be done alone, but if you guys have a reason for it to be a group thing then maybe let us “practice” in a solo instance with no reward at the end?

Would like to suggest to add a Costumes / hats / town clothes tab to the collectibles tab.

They are all account bound now so we only need 1 of each to use them on the toons we want so a collectible tab would help us to be more organized and may spark a “collect them all” fever akin to the minis.

Seen a lot of complains about MF gear because people use it or otherwise feel like they are “losing out” on drops. So I suggest to restrict magic find to accessories only. It will still allow the concept to stay and some players will still be “less powerful” for using MF accessories instead of other attributes but it will be less of an issue. Drops rate would need to be adjusted to compensate for the new MF cap.

For the Book sometimes it helps to toggle it off then back on to get it to show.

You can only receive 10 mails from BLTC and other players (this includes Spam). there is little number next to you inbox “0/10” for an empty mailbox. sometimes even “9/10” counts as full so clear those emails from spammers, friends, other BLTC goods and you should start receiving mail/purchases again.
