So, I was messing around with meteor storm last night, and found that I could cancel it as soon as the first meteor drop. The problem is, I am not sure if I get the full effect or not. It looks like I do, but I was wondering if anyone else has tested this and if they came to the same conclusion?

It’s worth noting that staff is a weapon with more of a support twist then the others while still being heavy on long range AoE.

Tbh there is a LOT of uncertainty regarding the sylvari. They are a extremely young race and what is known about them reflects that. The only thing that we can 100% say for certain is how our Pale Tree came to be how it is, and MAYBE that the Nightmare Court are not in fact the natural Sylvari.

Unfortunately I would not hold my breath, they did not include it on purpose to keep the major NPCs unique. The exceptions are I think Zojja and MAYBE Rytlock.

Funny, my first two characters are pretty much finished and I have never spent a cent in the cash shop, nor have I felt forced to.

People seriously need to learn what pay to win really is before they start tossing those accusations.

Hammer is good as-is, the “clunkiness” is part of its playstyle, and is very, very powerful in its “slow” guise. People shouldn’t be able to jump, dodge out of the ring (IMHO, not sure if the developers’ agree), but everything else is great with the hammer, in my estimation.

The problem isn’t that hammer is slow but that it’s slow and it sucks. It does crap damage so until that is fixed the hammer is pretty much exclusively for control. It’s kind of dumb that a pure control weapon has such an obvious flaw in its most important control ability.

There’s an easy fix though. Don’t use the hammer.

Personally I’d rather see the animation changed for the auto attack and smite. Could double as a speed buff for the auto attack

I’ve played since BWE 1. I have never purchased gems, be it with real cash or ingame money. Never have I felt “forced” to buy anything.

Honestly……….I find the fact that it basically turns it into a first person view makes it much, MUCH easier to finish for me

I do not think it is possible to reach such a level of toughness. With my set, my toughness is 1,930 which is 3,141 armor.

I’m using full power/toughness/vitality exotic soldier runed armor, exotic emerald knight jewelry, and Soldier’s Spineguard of the knight. All with exquisite emerald jewels. The only thing I use not focused on defense is my two weapons which are both berserkers. Even if I switched them to power/tough/vit I really doubt I would reach that much toughness.

Yeah, it’s the end boss of the Svanir Dome event.

It’s only this guy I have had this problem with so far, I can only assume it’s some horrid bug caused by poor pathing or whatever you want to call it.

So, I like to solo champions when I am not busy. Just for the hell of it, however, I am finding the Champion Svanir Marauder in Wayferer’s Foothills to be impossible to solo.

Not because I can not kill him, but because the game absolutely refuses to let me solo him. I will get him down to 50%…………..60% sometimes I’ll only get him down roughly 90% before he decides to go invulnerable on me and then reset on me. I’ve tried not moving, I’ve tried moving in a circle around around him, but nothing works.

The only time I am able to kill him is when someone shows up. No, not for additional damage, but for the extra body when he goes invulnerable on me and switches targets. At that point I have to pray the person survives long enough for the game to allow me to damage the champion again.

I can only assume this is a bug, unless I am to believe it is intentional that one can not solo him?

So, I’m thinking of running altruistic healing with GS, Hammer and staff and largely shouts such as save yourselves most of the time but I can’t decide on 6 traits and I can only 2 of them at most and in the case of 3 of them, I have to choose one or the other.

Inspired Virtue, Signet Mastery, Writ of Exaltation, Writ of Persistence, Pure of Voice, and Empowering Might.

My problem is they all seem to really go well with my build.

btw, i fell inlove with haka, its rlly badazz :\ but in the game (and any game.. yeah im looking at you LoL!) it doesn’t do it much justice because:
1) it is done alone.. you can’t do a haka alone, it looks silly.
2) no sounds. part of the haka is the sound. the body slaps, the chant.. so all you get is awkwardly looking charr

First time I saw my friend have her Charr dance, I thought it was constipated. Then I saw my norn dance, and I realized these are all done by programmers who can’t dance, so what was I expecting?

The charr dance is based off a tribal dance

In other words, it fits them and makes sense.

And personally I like all the dances.

Keep in mind it’s impossible to stop bots completely, the best any company can do is ban them sadly.

It is among many things that has plagued MMOs for years and shall continue to till the genre itself dies.

The animation is AMAZING, I especially love the second swing where she uses 1 hand and then follows it up with a overhead for the third swing.

if that’s all infusions are, that’s even more proof of that exotics are still relevant, especially if you can’t put runes/sigils in ascended gear.

I suspect there’s more to the Versatile Infusion other than the +5 Agony, otherwise why make a different Infusion and why make it cost so much more? Perhaps additional stats or some other interesting mechanic to make it worth the cost? I dunno.

Also they mention some of the other things you can buy with fractal relics. It will be interesting to see what other items we can get, but they did mention one that I’m curious about – the Gift of Ascension. New Mystic Forge Ascended weapon perhaps? I’m guessing though that they won’t release all the mats for it for a few months.

It’s been confirmed the back piece will come from the forge, so the gift is likely for that.

Indeed because I have a better understanding of the situation. It is quite normal I encounter those that are not familiar with this area, I wont claim I know all the “Time Theories”, but I do have a good sense of it all; that are confused or hostile about the ideas behind it.

And they are just that, theories.

Either way it doesn’t change the fact that nothing about the fractal of the mists comes out and says time travel, instead if implies what I said in my original post, reflections.

You and the others have your points, but for those of us that love good stories, this flaw or loop hole as most people call it, kills the lore. However Lore was never an important factor anyways with todays MMOs.

Well, not since “Everquest” days before even towards the end, started falling apart.
