I really liked the openness of Southsun Cove pre patch. After the patch, it just seems to be packed a little too much with settlements and forts and other stuff. Just detracts from the beautiful scenery.
Plus the young karka are not as populous as they once were. Wonder where they all went?
I do like some of the touches they added. The GF and MF buffs to keep people coming back.

Lore wise, it makes sense for there to be less (but more aggressive) karka. The settlement of refugees will displace them.

Except for the fact that it can not be dyed, this would be the PERFECT back piece for my sylvari but because of it’s color scheme it does not match my sylvari (or any other sylvari I have seen) at all.
Please, allow us not only to dye this one, but all back pieces with an appearance.
Wouldn’t you love to play extremely hard elite 12 player dungeon which would require 2-3+ hours to complete , which would require you to be skilled, a good player, and require immense teamplay, strategies and preparation?
To spice things up, say, this dungeon would be only open for one time in a week and to enter you would have to pay 5G.
And no waypoints/checkpoints and armor repair.
Personally, I’d love this, I’d even pay arena net for a DLC including this.
As for the rewards, I wouldn’t personally care all that much, perhaps an end chest.

It’s hardly greedy, it’s simply Anet choosing to monetize something cosmetic instead of something that directly effects gameplay.
Anet is, at the end of the day, out to make money so it can continue to pay it’s employees while still making a profit. The fact that we’ve been getting content every month since Halloween is way above the norm btw.
If Anet was simply doing this out of greed, there are TONS of things they would be monetizing instead.
All the confusion nerf hit was builds centered around confusion. I don’t play confusion however so no idea on how it really is now.
As for nerfs……….eh, don’t pick a class just because it seems least likely to be nerf. In a MMO, EVERY class gets nerfed and EVERY class gets buffed at some point. It’s just the nature of things.
I just got a mesmer to 80 after leveling and guardian to 80. My guardian is in full exotics, mix of hotw and tier 3 norn cultural with a ascended amulet and corrupt hammer and great sword.
I am now considering salvaging my guardian’s gear and use that to gear my mesmer.
I’ve never been in a situation where I was like “Boy I wish I had X for this……..” on my mesmer….because mesmer has something for every situation.
I imagine they wanted “neutral” territory to help keep the alliance, as it is they never seemed to fully trust each other. Would you want your ally to have their forces ready to seize control of you weapons at a moments notice if they were to decide you are no longer needed?
Also the fact that the entrance in Wayfarer’s and Diessa lead to the same place implies the facility has easy access for their weapons to a large area.

Because they often do blend.
For example, if I recall correctly it is the belief that it was common for women in Sparta to have a “Come home victorious or come home on your shield” view of things or something like that.
Plus, again, the Norn are a different species entirely. Different species have different maternal instincts. This seems to be what you can’t understand.

I don’t think inter-species relationships will work out. Some people will argue that its bestial and Arena-net may avoid that and just make them good friends.

Staff is primarily defensive. Chaos storm is great overall, gives you boons + gives enemies conditions + you can get chaos armor off it. Theres chaos armor in general. The “general” stun break on 2 on a short cooldown and then there’s iWarlock which hits pretty hard. In PvE/WvW as a lowbie I’d suggest greatsword. Staff becomes a lot more useful when you hit 80 and PvP a lot.
The boons that CS gives you now will actually help Warriors that trait into +3% dmg for every boon on you…
Not only we got nerfed, the more we try to boost our attack (as every other class too) will make us get more dmg against them.
You seem to be forgetting that trait requires a pretty massive trait investment, and from I’ve been hearing it sounds like a lot of warriors are not willing to do that.
Hell I’ve heard a lot say doing that hurts their damage.

I find that the heavy armor for males, is kind of disappointing..
The tier 2 set is nice and all, but I get so annoyed by the fact you can’t change the skin colored part on the pants.. :|

I don’t buy gems, and an infinite pick is not worth $10 in gold to me. So very much a BAD IDEA, an utter waste of developer resources I funded with my purchase of this game.

It is the concept. If you pay you get something which advantage you as you have free slots in your bag (cause you don’t have to carry 2-3 picks at least in order to have a replacement when you destroy one) and you don’t have to pay silvers anymore to buy picks.
Today it’s a pick, tomorrow you don’t know. If it’s gonna sell well they are going to put more items like this and even better. It’s a signal.

Crusader Patrick, a Heart vendor in Bloodtide Coast, sells the Mining Pick for 602 karma. It can mine everything, and has 25 uses.
Considering the 25 uses it’s rather annoying due to how much inventory it will take up, and WPing to him will offset a lot of the money you save.
Only if you refuse to buy them in bulk, which would be silly. A single daily buys a healthy amount.

Zone 3 is unforgiving as hell if you haven’t mastered the dodgejump yet. Unless you want those monkeys throwing exploding bombs, I think it’s good for the introductory world.
I’ve never even tried the dodge jump and I find 3 easy as hell.
Mesmer has this problem in GW1…….but it’s not the problem you think it is.

Why do you ask? Is the mesmer inherently broken? No, it’s because the mesmer punishes people who underestimate a mesmer and make mistakes and it punishes them hard. Those people do not even attempt to learn about mesmer, and as such the mesmer keeps making them make out with the dirt.
So basically, I’m considering saving up for tier 3 light, however I am having trouble finding a color that blends as well as my tier 2. Mostly the shine is what is making it difficult. Posting screen shots of the closest I can find and also my current look for comparison.
Also, does tier 3 glow? Even previewing at night I’m not seeing a glow if it does o_O
The top and shoulders are tier 1 light, Snapdragon I believe is the name, the rest I believe are from another entirely different set.
Also no, cultural armors are race specific. It’s basically their way of making each have something no other race does without making each race better then the other in some way.
Not only that, each cultural armor is tailored specifically for the body structure of it’s race and as such none of them were made with other race models in mind.

Here’s my new sylvari mesmer, the goal was to use dyes that looked like shades of blue and purple mixing together, giving it a more natural look. Think I succeeded.
10/10, follows that strong Sylvari trend of having two syllables. I give you bonus points for researching your name and understanding its roots. Plus, linguistics is something I’m definitely interested in.
