Some swords are just larger than others. One of those for example look to be the Norn t3 sword, which are in general larger than most of their type. In addition it’s being worn by a Norn, which would further increase their size.

Worth noting that how easy to mod a game is varies from game to game. Skyrim for example is as simple as dragging and dropping the files. Mass Effect 3 however REQUIRES a special tool for something as simple as texture modding, and if you mod DLC textures you need yet another that stops Origin from flagging them as invalid.

I’m gonna say no, not seriously, at least not the people who have any real power.
According to some, this is being done to accommodate PvP Tournament spectators who complain about lack of viability in play-by-play scenarios.
So to hell the rest of the game and it’s player base because of spectators who are not even playing the game? Wuuut?

Anet still thinks GW2 has a actual shot at being a major Esport rather then something to point and laugh at. My guess is they’re hoping to gain interest from those who don’t play to give it that push since let’s be honest even in the GW2 community GW2 as an Esport is a joke.

Great, now chaos armor is nerfed. I’m getting real sick and tired of this forced visual nerf bull kitten.
It’s quite funny honestly. The final mission took everything that sucked about the ending of the PS, made it great………..but then took what worked and took a crap on that.
It’s abrupt because they’ll be leaking the consequences over the next several weeks/months. A smart MMO does not lay all its content out during an expansion.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the “yay, we killed the dragon’s brain” isn’t anywhere near what we thought it was, and the focus on Glint’s egg is going to cause some huge problems.
Yeah, I’m sorry but I don’t buy that excuse.
Let’s look at FF14 2.0 (AKA A Realm Reborn)
There was a VERY clear ending to that, and yet they were still able to set up the next plot without feeling extremely anti-climatic. The Realm Reborn story was very clearly wrapped up and rather cleanly at that, it FELT like the ending and yet they still gave you hints at what was to come.
Hell, let’s look at the expansion
Once again, the Heavensward 3.0 story line is wrapped. Again though, IT FEELS LIKE A COMPLETE ENDING, and yet it gives you a hint as to what is to come.
Hell, why don’t we look at the “death” of the original Final Fantasy 14 while we’re at it?
AGAIN, this is a very clear ending and yet also a very clear beginning of the A Realm Reborn story. What did we get with HoT? It just ends, there’s no epilogue, there’s nothing. It just ends. Imagine if Mass Effect 2 ended after killing the Human Reaper with a cutscene of the Collector Base blowing up from a distance and nothing else then just faded to black, without even a single credit. That’s what we got with HoT. For as bad as the Personal Story was at the end, it STILL had what passed as an ending unlike HoT.

esports? the gw2 competative combat is literally the worst fighting in an mmo i have ever seen, AND I PLAYED RUNESCAPE, the time to kill is so high its ridiculous and every match becomes about who can cap the points first because GOOD LUCK getting anybody off of them long enough to cap the point before the inevitable 60 second slap fest/rollfest/healfest that is the combat

To be honest I never understood why Anet thought it would take off as a major Esport in the first place.
I’m pretty sure it’s for esports spectating and not for performance reasons, which is even worse. I’m not sure why they would think that it’s particles of all things that’s keeping GW2 esports from being a thing.

Or at least do what FF14 does and allow US to select if “visual noise” is reduced.

The Mordrem Loop amulet from the Story Act 4 Achievement has Viper as a choice. So there is technically an ascended trinket (amulet) with Viper stats.

So, this stat combo is really in direct competition with Sinister stats as they’re both glass cannon condition stats (although Viper has a bit more power). Because of this, I think a lot of people are waiting to any theorycrafting to show whether this is better than sinister for their build. Because of that, I think one of the big community names in PvE could probably make a big impact on this market just by posting a video on how much better/worse these stats are than Sinister.
Viper will likely win out, simply because it has everything that Sinister has in addition to duration, which is a pretty big deal for condition stacking. That being said right now you need to do a mix of sinister and viper simply because we don’t have any ascended viper trinkets as far as I am aware. I THINK we have viper exotic trinkets though? Not sure.
Errm, we beat it with 6 ( 2 of which couldn’t make it to 2 of the 5 spawns because we didn’t have updraft gliding) and had no issues…….I don’t see how it could be easier.

They are telling the truth, I can confirm as I did it myself. It’s highly dependent on kittenponds to your ticket unfortunately. The person you got most likely A ) Didn’t want to deal with it and/or didn’t know how B ) Had no clue they were allowed to do it or C ) Wasn’t allowed to for whatever reason.

It is safe to assume that with things like GW2effiency, leaders will be requiring gear checks and forcing BiS, which means $$$ if you’re smart enough to pounce early.

I believe you can do this with all projectile destructions. It isn’t a block, it actually destroys the projectile before it hits you.
Siege weapons are immune, though.

Snowblind is the most annoying IMO, solely due to the elemental. Grawl is another one, simply because as someone before me said if you don’t 1 shot it you are gonna be there for a while.

If you try doing something like fotm 50 duo/trio, it’s suddenly a bit more active game-play than your stereotypical mash 1 in a corner. Harder content will make combat much more engaging and fun, it doesn’t need trinity but challenge.
I think you missed my point again, I was correcting an incorrect notion about the trinity. Couldn’t make it any clearer.

Remove the API thing? Cool, you just kittened over everything else that uses that rather neat API key or is being developed with it in mind and trashed the development time Anet spent on the API key. Besides, gear checks were easily avoidable before, they still are.

In fact point me to the lore that states ANYTHING indepth about their civilization that isn’t related to their ultimate fate.

TBH, a lot of his stuff sounds very samey to me. With the exception of Fear Not This Not, the newer stuff has been far better.
I’m probably gonna try valk gear, zerker felt overall like overkill in the last BWE. As far as traits I’ve not yet decided.
Most likely Ventari could come into play if the Druid needs help, goes down or gets disabled in some way.
To a degree sort of like in FF14, the summoner class is not suggested to carry swift cast + a revive skill, but REQUIRED by most serious groups as they can save a group from an instant wipe if a healer goes down, or a DPS does something stupid and gets killed and the healer is too busy with everyone else to take the time to revive that DPS.
