Talk to Errawen for the full details, but things are going well. We are getting a lot of individuals coming over who love how we operate.
We also have been joined by BANE in recent weeks and they are going full tilt and helping out a lot.

We still could use some organized WvW talent in NA, Euro timezones. We also have great opportunities for any WvW-inclined guilds in the SEA zone, as we have a lot of people on but no guilds to rally around at that time.

We have a lot to offer PvX guilds that want to not get harassed while PvE’ing while still doing some WvW at times; and WvW focused players/guilds will find plenty of opportunity as we seldom have queues but always have folks on.

A little note from a frequent competitor, I hope some folks do come home to SBI. They do more with fewer WvW focused guilds than anyone in NA.

I can’t speak to the rest of their community and gaming, but they’ve been good sports and they don’t give up.

Kudos to Pariah for addressing the problem that all T1 NA has.

SoS stacked, so JQ stacks more, so BG stacks more, so SoR stacks more…and so on to infinitude.

Where is the limit? At what point do you hit the ceiling (which ANET graciously keeps raising higher to support Gem Sales) and have to face the UTTER HORROR of the reality that you will not be in First Place?

What if they came out with a post tomorrow, saying they were not going to raise the population limits anymore and JQ got stuck on FULL?

Jade Quarry has my respect for how long it’s been in the hotseat; but what if it doesn’t get any better?
What if they take away any hope that things will get better?
The random matchups have exposed the gap between your competitors and I hope that anyone who, at this late point, still feels the burning need to go T1 chooses you; but how many are left?

Pariah is just calling out the truth and all the denials in the world are not going to make it go away.

If you mean we like to bust up zergs, then yes; we love open-field against superior numbers and imagining the expressions on their faces when things fall apart.

We have siege bunker which is pretty much a waste of time, but what about…

Arrow Dodger: Arrow Carts have a 5%..15%..25%…35%..50% chance to miss. On max stat (50%) you are immune to conditions generated by Arrow carts.

Good bye Arrow Cart superiority; Hello tower siege specialists.

I remember quite a few times being attacked by SBI and CD in the JP.

It’s a PvP zone and the rewards directly aid the opposing force.

I’d be sympathetic but it’s unbelievably easy to get 500 badges. I get ~150 badges a weekend.

You beat the puzzle for the achievement and get 500 badges, you are welcome to go back to PvE.

Considering that CD has been able to take every BL at least once, you guys should have gotten your map completions done as well.

I’m so tired of the EB JP carebear crap.

It seems better than what the RNG monster is spitting out at us. While I like the proposed matchups for my server (SoS); the end result of this rotation would be SoS going down so far in rating that we’d be back in T4 or lower by the end of this.

The servers in current T5 territory would be screaming all over the forums about having to fight our night crew (justified).

Fun kitten fights on EB right now, 40 man CD NA skeleton crew vs SoS prime. LOVING IT

..what?…omg my head hurts.

unless your CD NA crew was up at 4am EST, they didn’t face “SoS Prime”

As SoS NA, I’ll take the compliment that we hit hard enough that it feels like it’s our primetime.

4am est is around the same time he posted that… take or add. Nice lagfest last night on EB though around 7-10pm PST

Good lord, I hope no one on any server is staying up from NA time zone through the middle of the night (though we all have insomnia nights at times).

Outside of some misconstrued statements earlier in the thread, I’m really impressed on how much better CD and SBI have gotten. I’d really like to see SBI get some transfer love so they could be a little more stable. They have a great PuG population that puts up a great fight in EB.

As for the thing with Jakob, I thought he was referencing a small skirmish at our north camp yesterday. He either remembers it totally differently or there was another time he found siege at one of our camps and felt robbed of more easy pickings.

If it is a different incident then I apologize, because the fight I was referencing saw the FEAR/TKVM retreat despite having numerical superiority. All three parties discussed were there and it was the only time we sieged up a camp on Sunday.

Before spouting off, please review the date stamp of the post you’re attempting to troll. This will help prevent you from looking like an assmonkey.

Based upon your absolute failure at observing details (see above), I can guarantee that neither FEAR nor TKVA run from fights despite having numerical superiority.

Good try, sir.

Edit: Also, apparently you weren’t up to my challenge regarding that 6 v 2 boasting I allegedly do?

Oh well, I guess I had the date wrong. Either way, it was a carbon copy situation and it still addresses your MO. Maybe because you weren’t their to inspire them was the reason they booked it out of there.

Ask your fanboy Vashti what hell he’s talking about. I counted 11 FEAR/TKVM yesterday, though maybe you picked up 1-2 stragglers. You can always blame the cut and run on them!

As for not addressing the 6 vs 2; I’m sorry I didn’t quote you. You are on the forums talking about everything else; though all I’ve ever seen you do is pick off stragglers and cap undefended camps.

I simply found it hilarious that you had to come on here and complain about a camp being defended.

A). I am no fanboy, I am his wife.

B). I am making a point at how silly you look claiming that we brag about 6v2 or 10v3. If we are running around with 10 people and happen across 2 or 3 guys, yeah we’re going to kill them. Sorry, red = dead. What we’re not going to do (and do not do) is hop on the forums and brag about it. We understand that a 10v2 isn’t some great feat.

C). It’s TKVA. If you’re going to troll us, get our tags correct.

D). We don’t run from even fights. Not in the least bit. What happens a lot at that North camp is that it starts out as an even fight and slowly more enemies trickle in from their spawn. We will end up downing and pinning people only to have them release and run back – meanwhile more enemies begin to trickle in and we become overwhelmed. I guess we could stay and fight when we are now outnumbered and the guards are respawning. Or we could cut our losses and go try to make a difference elsewhere.

Now I’m sure you’ll need to get the last word in tell us how awful we all are and how CD doesn’t put up a good fight (and so on and so forth). Feel free to say whatever you wish, this will be the last time I give you anymore attention.

Well I’m not going to continue to insult you or your husband in front of each other, and given this conversation is more of a disagreement in playstyles that has been simmering for months; there is nothing further can add to it and we’ll put it down like the lame horse it is.

On a side note in general, I would think that we’ve (servers-wise) have all faced each other enough to have some mutual respect. For all the crap I’ve flung at FEAR/TKVA; I have admitted (and continue to say) that they are the best havoc group I’ve seen.
I think they could do more, but that’s how this whole chain of troll posts got started and I’ll leave it at that.

You can take some solace that you’ve obviously killed me on a few occasions, otherwise I wouldn’t even know who you are.

Now please, let’s stop derailing this thread; we’re probably one more post away from getting it locked.

When did I show contempt for CD? I said I haven’t seen much open-field combat from you guys and it’s true. You’ve spread out to cover more ground (“keeping your eye on the ball”).
I’m far from dissing your skill, but actually hoping for a good chance to try it out (every time I’ve been in a big clash this weekend, it was with SBI). Almost every time I’ve seen CD since Friday have been either chasing them off a tower, or trying to take a tower. I’d rather fight you guys hand to hand over using ACs.

As for the thing with Jakob, I thought he was referencing a small skirmish at our north camp yesterday. He either remembers it totally differently or there was another time he found siege at one of our camps and felt robbed of more easy pickings.

If the are referring to the skirmish I think you are then your estimation of our purpose is off. We didn’t go to north camp to capture it outright (although if it was completely undefended we would have) it was to fight a holding action to divert your forces from reinforcing Bay which was currently under attack by our commander. At the time it was the only supply camp under your control and it’s also the easiest camp to resupply at before reinforcing a keep. You can say that we had you outnumbered, but I can tell you that by the time we left there was about 20 in that camp helping to defend it. At the end of the day we succeeded in our intended purpose and ended up eventually making your entire borderland blue. Hell we even managed to ninja a tower or two.

Believe it or not we do pay attention to the map and what our commanders are doing.

Nope, mistaken battle identity again. Though the one you are talking about did happen not too much later. This while the havoc group was the only one on the map. Then CoF and some others came on and took back your tower. The Bay fiasco was due to crappy communication and PuGs not listening to our commander.

Other than a few stragglers from failed siege I haven’t seen you guys yet. I’ll look for you now.

What contempt? I just haven’t gotten a good brawl against CD yet.

Calling CD “low hanging fruit” isn’t showing contempt?

Ahh, I was referring to EB. We have been focusing on you and trying to make attacking you as tempting as possible. Also aided by the fact you haven’t been bashful about going after them on that map.

Sorry, totally forgot to add a frame of reference to that.

Either way, it obviously hasn’t worked.

I will say that SBI has been a beast in EB this weekend. I know you guys had some crowning moments of awesome during our weeks long slugfest, but you guys didn’t let up this weekend.

We even tried to tempt you with low hanging CD fruit, but you obviously wanted a piece of our pie. I logged on for the complete disaster (from our perspective) when all our PvE’rs were just sitting in SM while you guys capped everything else. Shout out to TS and Kurtis for setting things straight and reversing that mess.

Seeing SBI spawn camping gave me flashbacks from December when WM would push our stuff in.

CD…seeing a lot of fresh faces on your end, but you guys aren’t much for the open-field combat. I’d like to have some fights with you guys that weren’t around towers and stuff. At least you…most of you keep your eyes on the ball.

SoS, please don’t ruin this week by simply placing a kitten ton of siege in camps and hide behind it when 3 CD roll up against 5+ SoS and upgraded guards in the camp. Come out and fight!

The primary culprits are [Fang] and [Bane]. Grow some balls!

This from the guy who takes 10+ people, all load up into complete glass cannon/escape builds, and goes into empty borderlands and picks off stragglers. Then you come onto the forums and brag about your 6vs2 victories.

I noticed you guys were conspicuously absent during the matchup with TC, I guess not enough people not traveling in groups for your tastes.

Half of your team was thieves but you couldn’t take out one AC and Ballista when facing a group you outnumbered?

The worst part is that you felt the need to complain about it on here, because we moved out and you capped the camp uncontested not even 3 minutes later. You must have been one of the people we ran down like a dog when you guys ran from the camp.

The WORST part, is that you guys had gone up in my estimation before your QQ session here. I was thinking "not a bad strategy, tying up camps and supply while their main group went elsewhere.
It wasn’t strategy though, you just wanted some great 10vs3 fights to come here and brag about.

I wish everyone would stop saying SoS should stop complaining because we got an easy matchup.

How is having the #14 server face the #7 good for anyone?

Don’t get me wrong, SoS needed a break; and CD/SBI have been very eager to show us how they’ve improved (and they have); but the outcome has never been in doubt.

The only reason the score difference isn’t greater, is that we’re swamped with PvE’rs coming in and trying to organize our militia is driving our commanders to drink….more.

TC: T1.5

FA: T2.5

I honestly feel bad for TC since there is truly no good matches for them. I know they have server pride (as do we all) but maybe some of their folks should “voluntarily deport” themselves to other T3-T2 servers in an effort to increase the quality of our matches.

It’s clear ANet is in this for the money to generate gem sales from transfers. I know if just one of your 30 man mobs in EB yesterday had been on our side of the table we would have had an awesomely balanced match (though a lot of those guys were pretty squishy…maybe not THOSE guys) LOL

I think it’s been made clear that this system needs a babysitter. As the (or a, depending on how long it takes me to write this) it defeats the “score correction” benefit of this system if you can lose to weaker servers, but then get bumped up and end up with a net positive score increase over the two matches.

I think it will be time to officially pull the plug when all matches see point increase of <+/- 50 points per week change in all servers.

For instance, T1-T4 has stabilized, with the exception of Kaineng which will NOT be able to stabilize in the new system due to the almost 300 point different between them and Borlis Pass.
This is the 500lb gorilla in the room and is where this system will fail the most. Condolences to the folks at Kaineng, you deserve better than what ANet is doing to you.

T5-T8 has a few more corrections. AR has completely imploded, and DH and DR have came out of nowhere with a huge jump in fighting power. IoJ and ET’s deviations are solely due to their matchups (IoJ shouldn’t be losing 60 points for winning, another HUGE failure of this system).

So ANet, I can’t speak for EU but I think RNG ran systems have ran their course in NA. The only remaining reasons for continuing is sadism. If that’s the case, could you give us a safeword?

I like how everyone complains it’s numbers when TC is beating them. Last night on EB at the end when SoS was attacking Stonemist their zerg was easily twice our size but we managed to hold them off for quite a while.

Ugghh, for the thousandth time, (and this is getting old since we’ve been at this for a month straight now!) it’s a matter of WvW focused numbers.

It’s not unusual for us to put competitive numbers into EB or our BL; but 70% or more of our numbers are people who are: A. not running in an organized guild; B. do not WvW regularly, C. not on any kind of VoiP with others, and D. not specc’d for WvW (all zerker, all the time).

We complain about your large zergs of +50 not because we don’t have that many on the map; but because we can’t get people to group up more than 30 on a GREAT night.

I also need to reiterate, that SoS has NO WvW focused guilds. We have zero guilds that focus solely on WvW.

We do as well as we do because our PvX guilds are always willing to help our server. Every PPT is gained through the fact that we don’t roll over for anybody.

Changes to the zerg meta?

in WvW

Posted by: Chris.3290

Chris.3290

No, it’s a rant.

Look at it this way, it’s simple Napoleonic tactics in practice. You move in a group to amass the greatest damage at a single point. You have good interior lines for reinforcements and retreats.

The AoE caps were removed because it became too easy for elementalists to completely shut enemy groups out of towers with MS spamming.

It simply a rudimentary set of group tactics; which WvW should be about anyhow since it’s large scale combat.

Hopefully they’ll add a GvG format that will also encourage small group tactics > zerging

Why do commanders ask us to stack...

in WvW

Posted by: Chris.3290

Chris.3290

Do NOT be fooled by your commander’s call to Stack. He wants to count your supply and under no circumstances should you let him know if you have any. Instead you should go take that sentry point to get WXP for free sieges to throw down at the next tower and build with YOUR supply.

If you do end up in a Zerg Stack, it is very important that you lay down all your Darkness, Poison, Smoke, and Light Fields. This will prepare your Zerg Stack to counter a veiled enemy Zerg Stack with Retaliation, Weakness, Blindness, and Stealth. The benefits are too numerous to enumerate.

When your commander moves out, it is very important not to follow immediately. We must wait and move out one by one so that, like Sand People, we will travel single file to hide our numbers. We all know the enemy will flee before us if they suspect an even fight, so we must lure them into a false sense of security by trickling in a few at a time. And that is when we will CRUSH them with our superior tactics and fighting skills for they are bad and we are hot because we are us and they are not!

May the zerg be with you.

This is…just brilliant. I honestly believe people are reading this right now and are trying to convince people on their servers that this is how you play.

Server Match up is terrible

in WvW

Posted by: Chris.3290

Chris.3290

I like the idea that the match-ups are done by a person, not a computer. There’s only 24 servers, it wouldn’t take that long for one person to do the match-ups every week. There would still occasionally be blow-outs, but there’d probably be more diversity in the matches, too.

But what I was really thinking about was adding in handicaps. Maybe the highest ranked server can only field so many people on other BLs (keep same amount allowed as now on their own BL and EB), and maybe the lowest ranked server gets a speed boost to siege building or something, like they can build siege a certain percentage faster, so they can set up a decent defense of any keeps they take before the zerg comes around again. They give handicaps in golf to try and make it more even, why not here? They couldn’t make it too drastic, otherwise people might try to lose just to get a bonus or two, but it might give lower ranked servers a chance to win, or at least avoid a blow-out.

I like the idea of slight handicaps like that. Blowouts will always be a thing, whether or not the current system remains in place or not; and they aren’t fun for anyone.

I think the biggest thing they can do is reduce the amount of supply needed to build siege. If 3 people can build a ram instead of 5; that drastically alters the math and will force servers to keep people on “empty” BL’s in numbers and organization enough to counter the fact that a 30 man group can put a ram on every door on the map.

Another idea is increased siege resistance, making it so that 1 moron with AC mastery can’t permanently lock a server out of every tower.

Why do commanders ask us to stack...

in WvW

Posted by: Chris.3290

Chris.3290

Stacking = distribution of buffs + AoE cap

It is also terrific tactics for the time setting. A ball or thick lines create the perception of a solid wall and people are less likely to cut and run. If you are scattered and see the guy in front of you die and no one is right next to you, you will turn around and hoof it.

Back when SoS was leaving T1, our two largest remaining WvW guilds decided to take a dive so that we’d just lose “by a little bit” and prevent a bad matchup.

Word of this got out, and all our casuals and PuGs left WvW for weeks. It was bar-none, the worst decision I’ve seen in WvW (though well-intentioned).

Trust me, anyone who is serious about WvW will avoid your server like it’s plague-infested if you do that.

Server Match up is terrible

in WvW

Posted by: Chris.3290

Chris.3290

I still think this system is better than the previous – but it is not good by any stretch. I have avocated for a manual matchmaking system since the beginning – and I stand by that. A manual matchmaking system is the way to go and Anet needs to do it now. Or at least have some human input so crazy things don’t happen.

Anet needs to hire someone from the Humanities or Social Sciences to determine the matchmaking system and stop letting the computer people decide something that computers simply cannot do well.

I’ll take the NA Servers because that’s where I play and what I’m familiar with. Any human can look at the situation and say the following. Now some humans may disagree with these specifics, but the generalities are obvious:

There are obviously 3 top servers – SoR, BG and JQ.
There is TC next. TC may be able to put up a good fight against the top 3.
Next there is DB. DB didn’t do well when paired up with 2 of the top 3 a couple of weeks ago. But they still may be able to have good fights when matched up with some combination of the top 4.
FA next. The combination of TC, DB and FA is what we had for a long time. But when paired up with TC and a weaker server, TC dominated.
Next there is a gap.
Then we have a grouping of servers: Mag, SOS, Yaks, EmBay, Kain and perhaps CD.
Big gap.
SBI and BP.
Another gap.
Darkhaven, IoJ, NSP, GoM, SF, Devonas, HoD, AR. Not necessarily in that order.
FC and ET. Who actually do better and have more fun when they are NOT paired with each other.

A human could look at the this information (and much more than I can just glancing at the past matchups) and come up with far better matchups week in and week out than any computer system ever could.

A human would not put SoS together with TC for weeks in a row (and with SoR once nonetheless). A computer would (and has).

A human would not interpret SoS’s matches with TC to mean that they should be rated CLOSER to them so that SoS and TC should play together more. A compter would (and has) – SOS is still gaining rating.

Before you think this is from a SoS player who (rightfully imho) is upset with the new system, I am from SBI. We’ve had some great matchups lately. But there is a big ratings gap above us. I’m worried about that – and especially worried about how a computer may interpret it. And match us together with BP and one of the lower servers more often that humans would want to be in that matchup. I don’t want to be stuck fighting BP and lower servers all the time. I want to be able to fight some servers above us.

I don’t care what the numbers say. Or what a servers “rating” is. A human being can do some things better than a computer – and matchmaking in GW2 is one of them.

I couldn’t agree more, and will go further by saying that human input has been needed since the beginning. When EB was stuck at the top of T5, they needed to be bumped up. DB needed to be bumped out of T3 while they were there. SoS needed to be bumped out of T4, and so on.

Servers undergoing collapse need to be bumped down faster. Everyone remember how it took ET and HoD almost 2 months to finally settle where they did?

It’s clear that this new system, while it clears up some mistakes of the past; needs more adult supervision.

SoS, EB, and Mag are all pretty close in T3 now, but we may never know which is the better server because every matchup has had TC or DB poisoning the well.

What about TC? They got to be sick to death of playing T4 and T3 servers. Yeah they got FA last week, but FA has bled enough people that they are much closer to T3 than the rest of T2 now. Everytime a real WvW guild comes into our matches (from TC) I’m sure they just stand around after the fight and openly ask if they should really celebrate these one-sided victories.

Also, the current T4 is very balanced. CD pulled off some last minute squeakers, but those were nailbiters down to the wire (how WvW should be).

Of course, I haven’t been in a balanced matchup since SoS first went to T3 (when certain well-meaning folks under-estimated the effect of certain actions).

No ty from SoS for taking Hills in their bl for them?? :<

Sounds like how I felt when we got into Hills on your Bl (owned by TC of course) and some of your guys actually attacked us from behind. Mind you, this is while Bay was ripe and ready for an attack and after we tapped both keeps to help you get your garri back.

Of course, that just frustrated us so we camped your tower for a while for the lulz. I did feel a bit guilty about that one.

We want to do X.

We’re working on X.

One of those statements provides a sense that X is infact a priority, as opposed to a want.

I’m not asking for release dates, I am however trying to get a sense of whether new maps are in the development stream or simply a twinkle in the eyes of a few devs.

And if they are saying they are working on x they will be “attacked” every single update where x is not implemented.

No, that would only happen if they said “almost done, final testing”.

Parthis has a point; “we would like to” is vague to the point of being meaningless.
I’m sure they’d LIKE to have 5 different maps in a running rotation, with interactive terrain and unique events that have an effect on the world in which you battle.
I’m fairly certain that it’s not in the works.

There’s a big difference between: “we’d like to”, “we hope to”, “we plan to”, “we are working on”, and “more info to follow soon”

The Widening Gap in NA Server Rating

240 points should be the beginning of concern. We know now that the widest gap tends to be between 400-500 depending on the other variables.

Despite some wide swings, the majority of matches are within 300 points with the occasional outlier.

Additionally, since 12 is such a solid number for this system, it becomes increasingly unlikely that BP and SBI will get matched up with any server above #12 since all it takes is for them to get a single low roll to move up.

Likewise, CD with it’s last two matches has had artificial gains and continues to pull away.

This system is pulling servers towards their correct ranking, but it’s also creating an uncross-able bridge between #12 and #13.

The only screwball in the mix is Kaineng, which appears to be falling apart. Again, however, all they need is a ridiculously high roll to make the gap wider.

Just as it’s a good WvW tactic to take out dolyaks, it’s good tactics to deny them access to siege. Considering the cost of golems, JPs are the primary source of them for most players.

Sorry to the PvE’rs but maybe you should try helping your server out (that provide the bonuses you enjoy as well) rather than going “full carebear” on the forums and crying about how unfair it is that you can get killed in a PvP zone.

I wish there was a little more info on how serious this effort is.
I mean did an intern turn in some scribbles on a napkin or is there a team dedicated to this, they just need a lot of time to do it right?

Less than two months til the 1 year anniversary, it’d be awesome to see the game get rejuvenated with something like this!

I love the back seat commandeering going on here.

Situation: Commander leads a group (20 people) down to Durios for a quick cap. Rams go up and the gate is at 75%. The call comes in “[insert server name] zerg at Mendons”

In a “normal” matchup: you pull off and defend Mendon’s

If it’s a “TC zerg at Mendon’s”: It becomes more complex. If it’s a 40+ mega zerg, you will A. Not get there in time; B. Get wiped even if you do.

So, do you trade your T1 tower for their T1 tower?

In any “normal” situation where there isn’t a huge disparity in WvW numbers and WvW organized guild groups; you’d make the defense of your 3rd of the map the most important priority. Even over the holding of SM (if it’s not upgraded).

To sum up, SoS commanders learned how to commander when the matchups were supposed to be more or less even; these last 5 weeks no amount of superior leadership and tactics would reverse these outcomes significantly.

Mag and SoS are in a perpetual state of limbo. You can call us tier 2.5 servers with completely opposite primetimes. SoS or Mag drop we roflstomp, we rise we get stomped due to coverage issues.
SoS or us can’t really complain about the bad matchups or the random matchups. If it were reverted back to the old system it would be Mag/SoS/YB or EB(?) and we would be complaining about staleness/boredom and pvdoor aswell because no one has the Oceanic presence you guys have while our NA is stronger I presume. This is a kitten ed if you do kitten ed if you don’t situation.

I think facing new guilds and servers each week is fun, regardless of the ppt at the end of the day.

Maguuma/SoS/EB is my freaking dream match and it needs to freaking happen and happen soon.

I’ll also take FA/SoS and either Mag or EB for a match because FA has lost enough folks that I think it would be really tight.

TC is the victim of everything that is going wrong with WvW and how server population is managed.
TC has the coverage and population greater than what was needed to be a T1 server before the end of free transfers.

Now, with how they not only allow but encourage super-stacking; you guys couldn’t dream about competing with T1; despite the fact that you can beat DB and dominate the rest of NA with one-hand tied behind your back.
You guys really are a T1.5 server. Just hope you keep getting low rolls like you have been because even a slightly positive modifier will get you signed up for weekly beatings by T1 servers.

Chin up, SoS.

I’ve looked at the odds of us getting which matchup every week since this started (shoutout to Ken on Ebay for doing that every week). The statistical odds of getting TC 4 times out of 5 and DB on the off week are quite frankly, ridiculous.

I think it’s quite clear that ArenaNet has taken it upon themselves to give us a modifier that doesn’t allow us to get a low roll. Statistically at #7, we should be seeing a lot more of FA and DB than TC.

This makes me glad, because I want to dropout psychology major who’s conducting this little rat maze to have a mental collapse in his own drool from the fact that SoS will simply not give up.

The truth is that we won’t beat TC, but they aren’t the only server in this match; Maguuma needs to be shown who the real champs of T3 are. The other truth is, that every time we wipe a TC zerg or deny them a keep or camp; is worth more than all the keeps we captured during our T4 run.

This sucks royally, but we should refuse to give anyone the satisfaction of just going away and moping for the week. TC still has some things to learn and Maguuma needs to see what we are all about.

So no more crying over RNG crap, or because 5 people left to join their drinking buddies on another server, or just because TC is taking the place of our in-laws, over at our house every weekend; criticizing everything and…well, you know.

we remain the warm home to all our good friends from the lands of giant spiders and hobbits (and the rest of Oceania).

It’s a nice sentiment, but I can’t go along with it myself. As long as oceanics (and SEAs for that matter) continue to stack up on the same servers, you will always end up PvDooring in your own time and being PvDoored outside of it. It’s not fun for your opponents and I don’t really see how it would be fun for you either.

Signed, the only kiwi on EBay that I know.

Out of the 35 matches I’ve been on SoS, only 8 of them were situations where our Oceanics were not facing large numbers of enemies during their game time.

Please don’t speak of what you know little about.

Permanent Swiftness and the sword #2 skill is a great leap skill that recharges quickly and gives the warrior the edge in long-distance running.

As for covering a distance in combat, the thief shadowstepping and steal skills, along with the previously mentioned guardian skills are probably the fastest.
