Get a mmo mouse, and you won’t have that problem since your thumb should cover all your keys. And it’s more convinient. But normally you shouldn’t ever have to look at your
keys no matter what you use. Do you have the same problem with your skills too?

I always played without the abuse of stealth and ini-regen traits, so I guess I will like it, but I really wonder why we still have to wait about 40 days for the patch.
And I really hope that we will see something that isn’t just a change in numbers, but a change in effect that opens up a few new builds.

The Mists on my server are full enough, same thing with desolation, if you want to realize this you would have to remake how the mists work, and add a whole lot of testing npcs.

So what exactly is the point of this? It’s bad enough to have that daily bar which you
can’t remove unless you finish it, which is annoying but still not as bad as 3 of these
bars, from which, I assume, you can’t even remove two of them, in sPvP even thoguh
they are PvE-Only content. Same thing goes with the “Scarlett Attacks X” notifications.

Would the abilty to turn those things off in the options too much to ask?

All of this damage was done in the span of about two to three seconds. I was dead before I even had a chance to react.

And that’s your problem, in a game like this 3 seconds are much, also the average
reaction time is about 0.5 seconds while the best achieve something about 0,18
seconds. So basically you have a big Problem here.

Look PVP never had rewards and now they threw us a bone and you wanna ruin it? :/
You can still purchase chests with your useless glory if you’re so keen on salvage mats.

You can make more money out of those mats if you salvage them to dyes, well at least
as long as you don’t have bad luck, so yes I would love to ruin that. Also Tournament
Tokens are not available for glory.

Simplest change to the trait would be to make it enhance the duration of the stolen skill by 20%. So the stealth, the conditions, the boons, the gunk field, the knockdown, the daze durations all last longer. I think it’d be a great trait if it did that.

Totaly not worth it, maybe as a minor one, but not as a major one.

Since hotjoins/custom arenas/solo arenas/team arenas can all be accessed from anywhere now, there’s no reason to be in the mists unless you are changing your build. So the number of people in the mists is roughly equal to the number of people from your server who are currently changing their PvP build. Good try.

I would think that those who uses Sword will make sure that the 3rd attack, the highest damage of the sequence, hits — I know I do.

Yes, sure but that doesn’t make it quicker and less telegraphed and easy to evade with
walking compared to the dagger one, and it’s quite annyoing to make sure that the last
hit actually hits imo, and I would really prefer a quicker animation like the one from
the warrior, even if it would make less dmg then, since it feels way more fluid. And
stupid looking attacks like those don’t fit the fast/stealthy theme of the thief anyway.
But in the end I guess it’s just personal preference, but I really think that those
animations should be swapped since it also feels off on the warrior, but whatever.

Also per strike they mean that even if you stack two different venoms at the same time
the leeching only happens once, even though you are using the stacks of 2 venoms.

However, if you had the ability to weapon swap more frequently (and especially with the upcoming additions to available weapons), there could be greater potential for other weapon set combinations that gel. I’ve heard arguments about how skill x doesn’t fit in that set and it’d be better on weapon y. Or that I wish skill z were on a weapon q instead.

That’s the main reason why I made this thread. Lately i’m testing p/p as my secundary
set, but there are a couple of situations where you shouldn’t use any pistol skills, or
at least can’t shouldn’t do dmg with unload. (Projectile reflection and retaliation)
And the set’s aa is useless, so if you don’t have any ini left you can’t do even some
kind of basic dmg. And you would be able to combine some finishers more reliable.

It could also maybe make the d/d p/d condi combo more usefull, since d/p is a
close/range hybrid weaponset. And stuff like that.

And don’t forget, that most importantly it would demote simple one skill spamming
and might raise the skillfloor a little.

A guilde and me once created a regen/condi thief build, and in some variation this
trait contributed to make the overal regen better. But well even if you couple it with
the Signet of Malice, the warriors healing signet heals way better, and he doesn’t even
have to attack his enemies, so yeah it’s kitten weak.

-5s cd in weapon swap make thieves ridiculously op.

And the thief is the stealthy sneaky tricky guy.
How would it be OP? If something it would encourage thieves to play a little
less in the “spamming” manner, and more in a versatile way. And it might encourage
more different weaponset combos, instead of the popular `something´/shortbow.

Remove venom share, and buff all venoms. They are so underpowered because of this single trait.

This, they won’t find a good way to balance this thing right, not in the way the thief is
working at the moment, well at least I doubt it, but if they can I somehow think it would

That is not the case in this game. Revealed needs to be longer like 10 seconds. Ive never seen more nonsensical game play then the blinking in and out of stealth in combat that goes on in this game. Its totally ridiculous. Thieves pop into stealth at 40% health and then come out a few seconds later at fullhealth.

10 seconds is too short, it should be like 10^6 seconds at least. Also did you know that
if the Thief goes into stealth earlier he doesn’t just get 100% hp regen in those 4 seconds,
but also full initiative, and a 100% crit change, a 33% dmg multiplier and a 50% faster
Revealed regeneration? And they can do all that while staying on a point, while you
as an enemy can’t do anything against him. And most of them are also immune to AoE
CC since thieves have a way too easy access to Hard to Catch.

Also their class mechanic, Steal is way too unbalanced, with just one skill they can
daze you, stealth, deal massive dmg, heal big amounts of hp, rip of 2 boons from you,
grants might, swiftness, fury and vigor to all of his allies, gain 3 initiative, inflict poison
to you, recharges their utility skill’s CD’s. All that while obtaining your most powerful
ability, teleporting to you at 1500 range, while having a 21 second CD. And all of these
traits are possible in a single build, without sacrificing anything else like the stuff which I mentioned above. Did I mention that steal has no cast time?

Anybody who doesn’t tell you that the thief isn’t the most OP thing ever in gaming history should learn more about that history.

It is common for all pvp in all mmorpg i know, moba games such as LoL and dota 2 are even worse. Only way for me to avoid such things is play with friends and don’t give a kitten about comments.

Well compared to what I have seen in some other games, moba comunites aren’t
even the worst, but well being locked into a game for 20 minutes isn’t allways fun.
And it doesn’t help if there is a report function for bad players.

Maybe that’s your problem? You could make a few videos, then we might be
able to tell you, if it’s your fault or not.

Other than that, you should either ignore them, or tell them legit points, why
they are the ones at fault. If you do it without hostility it drives them crazy, and
they might think twice before they start insulting others in the future. But don’t take whatever they say to heart, they just don’t know it better.

Since it’s my favorite trait on the Warrior, I thought about it for a while, and
I still have no Idea why. Would it be OP on a thief? Swaping between weapons
quickly would fit the thief theme after all, and you can also justify it with the
fact, that Iniative is shared on both weaponsets. On weaponswap sigils have
an ICD anyway, and you could simply add one to Quick Pockets, or even better
make it the alternative Grand Master trait in the Acrobatics tree, since Hard to
Catch isn’t anything useworthy.

But well what do I know, I’m just your regular player, how about you? Would you
like it? Would you use it? Is it OP?

There are some rightfull call for nerfs though. Such as condition damage, stealth, and too many evades are already major ones. Balance should be something on the top list to do from Anet their side.

If you really think that stealth needs a nerf in pvp, well then you are doing it wrong.

Chance to pierce (%50) + chance to Ricochet.

Sounds fun, but it might be to much RNG dependent then.

How so? Pierce might give you the second chance to hit someone (behind your target) that Ricochet might not have given you.

It also helps in that (with Pierce) now you don’t have to worry so much about your positioning around pets, clones, etc. or accepting a reduced chance to hit your intended target (that is behind them).

where he stands.

Setup…
Mesmer clone/phantasm is directly in front of you.
Fruity Mesmer player is creeping behind clone/phantasm.

Situation 1: No Ricochet
You shoot Mesmer clone; Mesmer clone takes damage; Mesmer player is safe.

Situation 2: I haz Ricochet! (Pistol shots have a 50% chance to bounce to an additional target.)
You shoot Mesmer clone; Mesmer clone takes damage; 50% chance Mesmer player takes damage from a Ricochet.

Situation 3: I haz Ricochet! (and if Pistol Master had 50% chance to Pierce)
You shoot Mesmer clone; Mesmer clone takes damage; 50% chance Mesmer player takes damage from a Ricochet or a Pierce.

Maybe the bullet did not Ricochet, but it could Pierce. Or vice versa. Or RNG could hate you and just stop at the Mesmer clone.

That means a 50% chance for either a Ricochet or Pierce off the Mesmer clone, not a 100% chance guaranteed that it will be one of those two.

Or at least that’s how I am imagining it. In a perfect world, I want both. :p

And yet Ricotchet > Pierce:
Mesmer stands behind the Clone, in a line with your shot, Ricotched and Pierce would
hit him. Mesmer stands right to the clone, not in a line with your shot, only Ricotched
would hit him. But of course having both is always better, and would actually fit the thief.

A bullet which splits into two when it hits an enemy, and then travels on to other enemies.

Well when I use the Fire version of the Glyh and the rez goes of when I’m in Mistform

1, Berserker stance – Nothing should give immunity to entire types of classes. no counter play. Very lame. Just make it 90% reduction in condition duration then at least necros can interrupt them

2, Automated response – see above. Losing to someone who is just 100x worse than you just because of a trait they take it total BS. How is this still in the game?

3, Warrior stuns – insane. You literally get knocked around like a ping pong ball by the warrior then die. Interrupt them you say! No you cant. Because they are immune to anything I do (lol)

4, Sword thief evades – way too many evades, teleports, etc on this weapon set

5, Thief feline grace trait – seriously wtf. They get to dodge for less. Anet need to realise dodging and evades = invulnerable. Invulnerable is good in pvp. Seriously.

6, Vigor – most op boon ever. Way more dodges = more invuln = never die = lame. You need to balance this boon. By reducing the amount of vigor gained by certain classes.

7 , Runes of lyssa – seriously wtf is this. Its so OP. Why do you think 50% of people in any game run these. People use elites purely for this rune set. Shows how insane it is.

8, Sigil of energy – dodging is OP. Anet really need to get this or this game will fail.

9, Nature of renewal. So broken and frustrating. Gives you massive advantage in team fight. No counter play as killing it resses anyway. Massive HP. Massive healing. Full condi cleanses. It is just way too good.

10, Ele burst – too high, should be brought down. Promotes macroing and even more cheese. Solution to making ele viable isnt to give it cheese.

11, Signet of spite – why make something so lame as this? it takes no skill to just random land a signet of spite then fear someone = death. I lose to so many bad necros who run this or signet or plague. Enough. Nerf signet of spite durations or increase the cooldown.

12, healing spring – too strong

13, Elixr R – people shouldnt be able to res themselves – come on.

14, Lag – fixing lag matters. Lag is Op in this game. Most the games I lose is because I get dced for 2 mins start of every match. Winning from 3 cap and 100-0 down isnt easy.

15, Emphatic bond – passive condi removal is lame. End of.

16, Healing turret – cast time too short. Cant be interrupted.

17, Healing signet – cant be interrupted so where is the counter play?

18, Shadows refuge – cooldown too short.

19, Stand your ground – get too much for this. Increase the cd.

20, Burning – burning is OP. Nerf it by 25%

21, Asuras – too small. Cant see them for kitten. Lame and should be nerfed/banned

There are 21 things to fix. Get to work on these and people will be happy.

Balance devs, do us all a favour and print this off and put the “To-do list” at the top and then stick it on your wall

17, Healing signet – cant be interrupted so where is the counter play?

18, Shadows refuge – cooldown too short.

19, Stand your ground – get too much for this. Increase the cd.

20, Burning – burning is OP. Nerf it by 25%

21, Asuras – too small. Cant see them for kitten. Lame and should be nerfed/banned

There are 21 things to fix. Get to work on these and people will be happy.

Balance devs, do us all a favour and print this off and put the “To-do list” at the top and then stick it on your wall

1) Warriors OP
2) Thieves OP
3) Engis OP
4) Rangers OP
5) Eles OP
6) Necromancer OP

Two guesses as to which class you play.

Mesmer and guardian are OP too. Just slightly less lame, so nerfing them can come later. Although phantasms are still very lame.

So basically you are saying the whole game is lame?

First: I’m not a PvPer, I mostly just do it for the achievement points

Why would you do that? In the same time you could make at least ten times as
many achivement points in pve. Or do you allready have all/most of them?
