Did you transfer from NA to EU or the reverse? There’s a bug with tournament rewards that’s triggered by transferring regions.

Now i got email that my account is temporaly banned (still playable though…so confusing) for gold selling or helping to sell gold…. what? I am guessing constant chat supression while trying to make LFG post for fractals counted as spam to sell gold?

i rly cant understand why so many people have a problem to understand that rank has nothing to do with tournament, mmr and leaderboard-ranking
arenanet should hide it – to hard for people
ppl understand that but you still have to realize that lv 50 person will farm lv 1 and keep getting points; it is neither fair to that lv 1 nor people who happend to be teamed with him as he is just feeding
they should have done it same way as it is in LoL:
when you started to do ranked, your mmr is calculated based on normal games(non ranked) and 10 qualification games (that don’t award any points but serve to measure your skill so to say); after you done 10 qualifications games you get placed in legaue that corresponds to your performance which is really good system imo, as you don#t face people who played game for years nor you faceroll noobs
the problem with match making system here is that lv 1 gets to face lv 50; lv 50 knowing that lv 1 most likely doesn’t know anything will just farm the crap out of lv 1

I love skyhammer personally. Don’t be kittened, change your build/play differently. Don’t get mad because other people change their strategy and you don’t, leaving you at a disadvantage. Just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Runes of Lyssa + basi venom = third-highest stability uptime in the game (behind bunker guardians and warriors)
Besides, skyhammer is essentially a map about stealth. Stability is trivial.

Thieves next to engis are the main offenders of the annoying “lel scorpion wire into imob on glass panel” kitten.
That’s literally the ONLY utility that we can use to abuse the terrible design of this map, and you still haven’t pointed out where my Stability to counter the “insert word here” players who do that comes from. :P
After playing for a few hours and getting mostly Skyhammer, I’m done. From this point onwards I will be leaving every single Skyhammer match I get, regardless of whether or not this created 4v5s, I refuse to waste 10 minutes of my time praying to FSM that the match is a quick blowout so that I can leave.
For goodness sake, Anet, we love the fact that you tried to improve the map, but the map itself is just so horribly flawed that it should NOT be in Solo Q; you removed it from Team Q for a reason! ;\
for stability I believe you could start your dagger storm and then cancel it…sorry been a while since I played thief don’t know if it still works
and then what? dagger storm is really long CD while knockback i spammable in comparison

As for burning, there was a proposal way back when to allow Thieves to use Torch, even to dual-wield it. That was an interesting suggestion and I won’t mind if Anet makes it happen.

Yasterday i was dueling with some members of VLK clan.
They have really good players.
To make it short i could not kill (or even close) a perma boon berserker armor Guard.
Also a condi mesmer
Also a s/s sb warrior.I was running yishis p/d build ber-valk.
Honestly i could not find a way to even get close to kill them.
The guard killed every body but warrior than only won one time.
I do not consider myself a top thief but know how to play it decently.
This 3 profession when well played IMO are almost impossible to kill in 1v1 (as i saw them against other profession).
Is it just me that has the feeling that thief has been reduced to noob killer?
they are noob killers and keep getting nerfed because noobs are still represent majority and devs don’t pvp on thieves….

no – engi at top is barely viable
bunker engi gets destroyed by 2 decent burst players and brings no team value to achieve even that
condi engi gets hard countered by every braindead necro and warrior player
offensive power either deals no competetive damage or is as glasscannon as serker ele without the escapes / boons.
There are a few more hardcounters to the class depending on builds but overall its never an ez win unless you drop supply crate (which is just an unreasonable thing to do in 1v1)

Re: different roles. I do not believe this is the case. They have the same role. In fact , several top mesmer players switched to thief some time ago.

Thief probably should have never gotten stealth to begin with. Its just really hard to balance around. A competent thief can escape a losing fight 99.9 percent of the time. Probably just should have made the thief really mobile and slightly tankier. Stealth has just always been a hard thing to balance around. Maybe even just removing shadow refuge and giving thief some love would help. In my opinion shadow refuge is the problem. Pretty much every thief ever to play gw2 uses SR. The little 2-3 stealths I don’t have a problem with but when every single thief that is dieing can pop SR and get 3 seconds right away then about a quarter second later the second tick happens making it 6 seconds and a total of up to 15 seconds if they stay in the aoe for the full duration is just stupid.
in some games thieves have perma stealth and there were times when they were balanced… thieves don’t even have actual perma stealth in this game and i honestly don’t think it is that imbalanced here….the problem is human mentality, people who never played thief don’t know how to deal with stealth and how it works and demand nerfs…if thieves didn’t exist they would QQ same crap about mesmers
devs actually need to try pvp on thief in tpvp than listen to QQ from clueless warrior players
so far the only time i saw dev playing a thief was presenation of thief pve at lv 20….

And seriously, people are complaining about not being able to run this tower without effort? You went through it once, know what’s coming, build accordingly. Drop the zerk gear, bring condition removal, bring swiftness, bring stun breaks, bring stability, bring blocks. It’s a zerg, you don’t have to deal max dps. Build for survival and try again. You don’t even have to maximize the build as if it were PvP/WvW. Oh yea, and pay attention to the spores before their red circles appear. Just don’t go near em.

I can rebuild my thief for more survivability, infact he has decent vigor uptime when dodging. But theres limits. My gear is zerk.
If I need to get some PVT gear to get through this, or knights gear…if I need to get a single new piece of gear to do this, then the patch fails. Horribly.
PVT gear won’t help you, thieves scaling is non existant might as well run in zerker

And thats the problem with Thieves.
They are built around the fact that they can stealth and stealth in itself is a more or less crap skill. Doesnt negate any dmg, short duration, longish cooldown(matter of opinion).Warriors on the other hand dont need stealth, they can just facetank the sort of dmg that would annihilate a thief.
…if you take any significant damage in stealth, then you are just bad..most skills require target or have really small range. and Aoes are easy to dodge.
on the other hand, warriors need to spec tanky to facetank any sort of damage and still tank less then a guardian.
if you are talking about WvW, where everyone can have insane amount of damage or insane amount of tankiness.
let’s just make it clear, tankiness won’t save you from everything, stealth will.
warrior doesn’t need to spec tanky…. to be tanky… did you pvp lately?

with thief class you must pay attention to your enemies, which class they are, who has higher armor, who is more dangerous and act accordingly. thus make the learning curve more slower and higher. you must know when to enter stealth, when to harass your enemy and when to strike. as you dont have many stunbreaks or high armor and health so stealth is your friend

Sorry to break it to you, it is doable as a thief solo, I did it solo all the way up and the last instance aswell, just joining random other solo players as we did the events to open the walls to the next levels. Actually stealth is a huge advantage in there.

Awesome content, dangerous npcs that actually require some tactics and strategy, no oneshot AOE next to no imunities and still dangerous, FREAKING AWESOME STUFF THERE!!!!
or the server… nobody bothers to fight together nor there is point, somebody just waits untill someone else engages fights so they can walk over their bodies while mobs are distracted
i can’t blame them either, mobs are annoying to fight and you mostlikely will end up dying and loot is obviosly… yeah let’s not talk about loot

The worst Thing of this “open world Thing” that leads to the instances is that even zergs do not really clear the area. They just run through, don’t care for the People struggeling or who are dead.
My friend died when we ran with a zerg. I couldn’t rezz him because NO ONE cleared the Veterans and whatever ran around there, it was just rushing and running so I tried to make my way through, while he had to start at the beginning, not finding enough People to make it to the top.
I got killed before the entrance to the room with the chest and the instance and guess what? People ran over me in zergs but no one even dared to rezz me. I had to die my way through using Revival pearls.If more People just “park” an alt on the chest, give him Access to their bank and put the keys IN the bank…. well…. who will then ever run the whole way?
And then, all the People hanging around in that area Count for scaling. Too bad if no one is there to help.
I don’t think that this is the best design Anet could do. What I know is: Once I’m done I’ll never set foot into this again….
the question is..why do ppl rush through? because mobs are absurdly stupid and if you actually stop to fight you die mostlikely and would have to start again
i see no problem with tower design itself, but with mobs if anything
new heal is a joke considering how fast those stacks of confusion/torment are applied again

thieves have condi removal…. but it is tricky to use and comes at price of a trait and potential dmg/survival
as for topic: i am sure some people will still play thieves and probably will be good at it and still get kills which probably will still cause major QQ from bad players….. i honestly don’t know weither anet wants us to reroll heavy armor classes or they just don’t know what to do with thieves…at this point -_-
