You have to rune that gear, and the runes come at 6-12g a piece.
Depends on the runes you want, just saying…
They dont want a holy trinity in this game…its advertised as such….so i highly doubt that they will have a class that just focuses on healing. They want players to be able to take care of themselves, not have to depend on a dedicated healer to be able to stay fighting.
Level 20-30 you mean. Level 2 to 20 doesn’t exist. Scrolls ftw.
new players do not get scrolls.
Blame it on Comcast. They seem to be at the root of a lot of lag issues lately… and no, I’m not kidding.
Odd, i blame it all on charter, its getting cold in my town and i mean below 40 degrees and as soon as that starts happening with charter internet where i live, there goes all your speed and your stability.
Thanks for the clear list.
Has anyone ever considered mounts only be used in PvE? They wouldn’t really be fair to be part of PvP, I agree with you there.
It seems like it is mostly a speed thing, since the magic carpet and broom are already mounts in essence.
Its really not needed though, the maps arent that big as is, and even a small speed boost can make them tiny
Yup..that looks like a clone of that throne thingy, i remember that mission, HM was sooo fun…
Submit a ticket, i did for my Mad king memories and had it back in 2 days. They just wanted to know which version i had.
Yes please, put the other parts back in. ive said it elsewhere but ill say it again, i was one part away from the complete edition and i got forced off to update the game and end the event, and i was almost to it too…
So im all for putting the complete edition back in
yes they should be taxed slightly more. maybe not 30% but more than the current.
Why?
We’ve got a “progressive” tax here in the US. The goal is not to “punish” the wealthy, but to generate tax revenue in order to pay for social welfare programs.
As there is no need to generate funding for such programs in Tyria, there is no reason to implement a progressive tax either, other than to “punish” players for successful trading.
Did you read my whole post? did you really? See number 2 if you didnt. and read that last line where i said i was of two minds on the idea. im leaning towards number 2 as this is a play how you want game, and really there shouldn’t be any punishment for taking advantage of the black lion trading post, but if they do decide to do go ahead and do something like this then make it less than what the OP suggested.
If you dont want your gold that much, ill take it from you! Hehe, i kid~
ive only recently started playing around on the trading post after i got my precursor and i needed tier 6 mats…and while i havent made much money, yet. i have noticed that is way more profitable than farming for hours on end or doing other things. so im of two minds on your suggestion.
1.) do it, if players can make anywhere near as much gold as you can, then yes they should be taxed slightly more. maybe not 30% but more than the current.
2.) dont, because it will get in the way of me making money for my mats xD

When searching for this “postponing of Crystal desert”, I read that you can actually see the crystal desert from a zone. I don’t remember where I read it, or where you could see it from. Does anyone know where this spot is?
It may or may not be fields of ruin, i cant verify that…but there is a gate there that does lead directly to the crystal desert, and if they modeled any of the desert at all it would probably be viewable if you broke the map.
Why why why couldnt they have brought the ability to get the book back this year. me and my brother where 1 freaking item away from getting the second part and we where right about to grab it when our games forced us off to update to the new version back in 2012. ive always wanted that second part…and i was really hoping that with the new wardrobe it would make a come back..
Has anybody checked out the Ascalonian settlement? its close to water, and from the clues its a little far for guards to be chasing someone down for an item(to be close to water at least), and being Ascalonian they would be very touchy of how they came there and what items they brought with them.
I can confirm!! She does drop from normal ToT bags. Took me 4500+, but she dropped! Thanks everyone who helped!
Im assuming this is the wronnngggg thread. and im assuming you are talking about the ghost wolf as well.
“an endeavor likely to leave one examining refuse closer than generally preferable”
I wonder if this is a hint to where he was running in or just part of the story. Is there a place where you would find garbage?
The slums in DA? OH the sewers in LA
I am not positive but the person that I seen had it in LA told me when I asked that they got it from the Exotic Trick or Treat Champion bag from the Legendary Monsters.
You mean people are actually killing the champs? I’ve been in the Labyrinth for the past 2 hours and seen all of maybe 6 other people total, all just running around doing small door events while fleeing in terror every time the Labyrinthine Horror comes around. I’m rather surprised honestly, day 1 and already deserted? Figured people would be down doing achieves at the very least. Especially if there’s exclusive loot from the legendary bags.
Most of the rest of the world isnt active i would think, but i dont really know. LA is pretty deserted at the moment as well.
I wont be buying it, i wanted a dress. not a tuxedo. and its a shame that charr dont get the female version, quiet a big let down and one im actually a bit sad about.
Fergusons crossing feels your pain!
15 Laurels = 1 map 100%
Benefits:
1. Unused Laurel can be use as an item for Legendary progressions
2. Doing map is very boring like a boring kitten
If you actually read the OP, including “benefits” 1 and 2, it is obvious that the OP wants to spend 15 laurels to complete one map, not gain 15 laurels for completing one map.
Im sorry, ive read the OP several times and it seems to go like this to me.
Doing map is boring kitten, so lets give a reward that can be used to go to a legendary.
But without the OP coming in to clear it up, who can tell, and even if you are right. i still like the idea of getting laurels for map completion!
(edited by Dante.1763)
That’s what I do with them whenever Daily Laurel Vendor comes up.
I buy 20 Heavy Crafting Bags. But it comes up rarely enough that between getting 1 Laurel every day and the Monthly, I’m still slowly accumulating Laurels.
Buy 250 of them for me and give me the mats i could really use them for my legendary! xD
Hehe~ i kid, but i never have that many because i always buy stuff with them~
Nah, not supported. I think we get enough laurels as is.
Got 632 sitting in my bank right now, and that’s after I already bought 5 Ascended amulets and the Karmic infusions to go in them.
Buy me tier 6 mat bags? i mean if you arent using them! i could sure use the tier 6 mats from those :P
Well, i can get on board with this idea. the laurels would for sure give me a reason to bother trying to get 100% map completion again on my multitude of alts.
For the heart “Help Paenula train the troops” the pit arena is no longer working. you can still capture drakes. But the actual arena pit does not have options to pick the different monsters. i talked to a few other players in game in the area and they ran into the same thing. And swapping characters and getting into a different map/instance does not seem to work either.
my mother play guild wars 2 at 3 fps if shes lucky and has gotten all the jumping puzzles done, as well as doing all the living story so far.
Aspects do need improving though. the lightning jump/pull lags half the time and throw players to the ground in the middle of a jump sometimes getting them killed or better over the targeted location sending them to the ground getting them killed. the sun sprint wont deactivate when triggered making players flash off that first bridge. the wind one as far as i can tell doesn’t have any problems.Your parents AND you play GW2..loving the family time…. if it’s true >.>
But you go on to say that lag isn’t a problem…while contradicting yourself and saying that it is.
The lighting pull cutting out or over throwing is because of lag.
yep.
So anyone with low fps, is gonna have a hard time with the lighting pull. Which IS something to complain about, as it’s not an issue in other jumping puzzles.
It is true :P we play alot, you can find us if you really want to see for yourself xD my brother even plays sometimes.
Never said lag isnt a problem, i Know it is, i believe i even said that it was indeed a problem when it came to the aspects. she does have problems with the lag on skills, she does have problems playing the base game even when shes out by herself. she cant do certain areas of the game because of lag. PVP, WVW, any of the champ trains or dungeons are unable to be done because she cant react quick enough because of lag. so i get having alot of lag. i get mad watching her play on her crappy computer because she plays so much more than i do, but i dont make enough to by her a new one.
Yes it needs to be complained about, does it ruin the living world? it hasnt for her so far and she hates lagging out and falling to her death, but she is loving the new zone as she gets to revisit an area she spent a lot of time in, in gw1.
i guess im getting at, that with all the problems her hands and her computer give her she still got to the top of the new zone, and done what most of the people are complaining about with her issues.

Jumping can be trained….. I give you arthritis, tendinitis, carpal tunnel, I give you stroke, amputations, and plain old bad hand/eye coordination that cannot be ‘trained’.
I don’t care if it takes 4 times as long to do it without the Aspects, it should be POSSIBLE to do it without them.
throw arthritis, tendinitis and carpal tunnel out. my mom and dad have all three of those put together, my mom cant move her hand sometimes, and shes a better jumper than i am. my dad has terrible hand eye coordination and can do them without many trys usually 4-5. does he get frustrated? yes, does he hate them? yes, does he do them? yes, and he feels good when he finally finishes. stroke and amputations i can understand, the rest? No. do i have sympathy for the people that have them? totally. Hand eye coordination cant be trained? since when? i had terrible hand eye coordination when i was little and slowly got better. And before anybody gets on my kitten about how they have a bad computer, my mother play guild wars 2 at 3 fps if shes lucky and has gotten all the jumping puzzles done, as well as doing all the living story so far.
Aspects do need improving though. the lightning jump/pull lags half the time and throw players to the ground in the middle of a jump sometimes getting them killed or better over the targeted location sending them to the ground getting them killed. the sun sprint wont deactivate when triggered making players flash off that first bridge. the wind one as far as i can tell doesn’t have any problems.
Im loving the patch, but i can understand some dislike for it. a portal option would be nice so that after a few trys you can just port up to the next part of the puzzle, if you are so inclined.
The real question is…. how big would glints baby be now after 250 years?
The below picture is what it looked like in GW1. The other creatures there are dwarves.
Picture is from GW1 wiki, might go grab my own soon.
Anyway, I don’t think it is inside a ship.
I’d think too big to fit into the sanctum. I mean look at the size of Glint. She’s not small.

To be honest shes not that big…i dont think, certainly not compared to the other dragons, and she is fully grown as far as we know. so i dont think her babys will be much bigger than she will unless they totally change the scale of her… http://www.groovymarlin.com/gw/img/gw037.jpg that glint right there could totally fit into the sanctum.
(edited by Dante.1763)
are u sure cause i managed to solo her and she did not have that much hps maybe it is the scaling giving her too much hps.
im pretty sure, me and one other person tried and it ended up taking 30 minutes to kill the thing. it never took that long to kill her
its actually bugged at the moment with the amount of HP it has
i think u 2 didnt read it right..its not about haveing weapon swap…its about not having the chance to stack up bloodlust and then haveing 2 other sigils on the weapon u use the most. i agree with JJ….its annoying not to have the chance..but getting 3 sigils would also be unfair :/ to solve this problem is i think nearly impossible….
without weapon swapping you are correct it is impossible.
It would be overpowered in combat for the engineer and the ele to have weapon swapping. Neither of these 2 classes need them at all. the engi has kits and the ele has attunments…something you state at the end, thats how it is by design for balance. if they could swap in combat…good god the crying that would take place when an ele blows through 40 skills.. now…out of combat weapon swapping would be nice,(and before anybody says it would be overpowered, i already do it with my ele by having my inventory open)
Aha! I was trying to figure out what he was talking about. Race change.
Again.
and so it will be till it gets implemented…same with class changing.
It will be what? Did you leave some words out?
no not at all. but since you asked, IT is the topic of the post, race change. it will be talked about until it is implemented, same with class changing.
Aha! I was trying to figure out what he was talking about. Race change.
Again.
and so it will be till it gets implemented…same with class changing.
you should fractals are so much fun!
true i suppose, but i dont know anybody who does them. if anybody wants to teach a fractal noob come grab me, i know a few of them but not many and would love to do them.
(edited by Dante.1763)
its a shame you cant sell them, i need more than a few but i dont do fractals
The devs did mention that though that engineers were kind of a spiritual successor to ritualist. Like in how they summon stationary allies, kits (aka bundles) and so on
Mmm i suppose….i didnt play mine that way though, it was boring to be sure…well i stand corrected, thank you for not being rude about it
The basics of Ritualist class were used to create the Engineer. If we ever see the Ritualist again, it will be totally different from GW1.
i think you mean the guardian(spirit weapons, meditations) . nothing about the engineer other than maybe their kits screams ritualist to me. Now i would LOVE to see the ritualist brought back loved and miss mine alot.
(edited by Dante.1763)
There is nothing ‘common sense’ about Unique being restrictive to only one equip. All it indicates is rarity.
If it related to rarity it would say “unique” on legendary or ascended weapons/armour, it doesn’t.
when i first saw the unique tags i had to go google it to see if you could only BUY one of each type of ring for the entire account that was my first thought that went through my mind. “Oh its unique that means i can only get one in the whole game”. it should be stated outright you can only equip one per character
thats how the charr feel all the time! it sucks, but it probably wont be fixed :/
The ONLY thing i miss about paragons is their weapon. throwing spears usable on land yes please. guardian already does pretty much everything else the paragon did. while people state the ritualist has been merged with the paragon to be the guardian, id say it was more the monk and the paragon where merged to become the guardian with a SMALL very very small part of the ritualist. the ritualist(2000+ hours played on one in GW1) hardly even exists in the guardian, only thing is the spirit weapons…which are nothing like the spirits from GW1. id say the necromancer is in fact a merge of the rit because no longer do you need bodys to summon minions.
(edited by Dante.1763)
just spend 15 minutes in CoF and get 1g50s+, not harkitten
he only one who completed a dungeon with less gold than started it with? :/
That might just be me though.NAKED DUNGEONS. CLIFF-DIVING. SUICIDE-MOBS. HAVE AT IT. SUBSCRIBE TO “WOLOLO ARMOUR?!” AND YOUR WALLET diminishes NOW!
Considering armor repairs are free, id love to know how you end with less gold than you start with.. the second part made me laugh though :P
Or make all classes be able to equip all weapons, which is how this game should be anyway
No please just no
Why not? Aside from balancing issues, it’s a way to add both more skills and customization to characters, which a good number of people have been craving.
Thiefs with greatswords? Warriors with scepters? Mesmers with rifles? Guardians with pistols? just no, none of those even make sense to me.
Why would you want alot of players to stop playing GW2? i love guild wars 1 and guild wars 2 because it lacks open world PVP and im sure that a large portion of the player base feels this way as well.
does guild wars have a version of PETA? Stop the Quaggan abuse!!!
Two points:
2) Imposing harsh penalties for simple tasks does not make the simple tasks more difficult or more fun. If the problem is “the game is to easy” then the answer isn’t perma-death. The answer is to make enemies something other than damage-sponges. There are tons of interesting ideas out there how to make enemies more intelligent and engaging and no need for me to rehash those ideas.
All that being said; I have a nagging suspicion the majority of the GW2 community doesn’t actually want difficult content.
You have the right idea i think. Harsh death penalties aren’t the way to go, improve the AI, have more bosses or hell even open world champions/veterans depending on the area that are like the ones in the crown pavilion(arena thingy) that have unique mechanics to beat them and if you don’t know them you wont move on or be rewarded for trying. if there was harsh death mechanics as this topic suggests i would not have tried 50+ times to beat liadri, it took me that long to figure out what to do with my class before i beat her(didn’t want to look it up) trying different builds, different weapons and even different characters. if there was harsh death penalties i would have stopped after one or two tries.
there should however be a cost for dying, so i honestly think they need to bring costly armor repair back, i HATED dying and tried my hardest not to because i DIDNT want to pay for armor repairs. those add up quick if you die alot, 11 silver for a lvl 80 to repair all armor and a back piece. its not that harsh if you don’t die that often, but if you aren’t paying attention and pull to many monsters and die, you rush into a fight without looking around you will be punished harder than someone who does those things. and in conjunction with harder, better monster AI then i think you would have a pretty good system.
No, they want more difficult but not impossible content, but they also want it to be rewarded for that content being hard which this game does not do very well.
50 trys later and i finally got it!! now my “paladin” has a title worth while to wear!
Unfortunately, defending the Decimus Camp waypoint in the plains of Ashford doesn’t have the Exotics drop chance it should
:O you actually try to do that event! im shocked!
(edited by Dante.1763)
disagree here. Reward should be based on challenge (Harder things should have greater gps), time(Longer things not have lower gps), or limitations (Time-locked content should be more rewarding than endless farms), not Level – especially with up- and down-leveling the game uses.
Right, this is what i meant to say but didnt word it correctly, thank you very much!
The actual chest reward in dungeon is so poor because I can only do it once a day. If I could repeat it and still get the same chest at the end (Like it was at the beginning) it would personnaly be better for me.
Now people will say that all pugs will go and do the easier dungeon for easy money. Well if thats the case, then Anet devs should do their job and fix the rewards properly so that it reflects the difficulty of the content.
FYI: your question is real poor
His question isnt poor. He never said dungeons either. He was asking what you would consider good quality loot for an hour investment in a thing, could be anything.
what is good quality loot to you? some rares or exotics? some more gold?
what would make doing harder content worth your time?
you are right that low level stuff should not be as rewarding(why im glad they got rid of the queensdale champ train) and that some of the harder events or dungeons should be, but im curious as to those 2 questions i asked above.
if we are talking about GW1. i thought the loot was far to rewarding. i spent a day in a voltaic spear farming group. 10 minutes in the dungeon thats it, pulled the boss to a wall and killed him without having to wade through the rest of the monsters! i walked out at the end of the day with 4 voltaic spears, 6 embersteel blades and more than a few amethyst shields! I could farm UW all day long with my Ele/Rit spirit spammer build and get 3-4 ecto per run. Thats to forgiving for how easy it was. Urgozes warren was also moderately easy to do with the proper group, it wasnt hard…just took time. now the Deep Jade Quarry one…that was hard to do, even with the proper group it was a pain.
The temple of Melandru had just finished, i noticed it a few days ago when i started playing again. as soon as the temple finishes trees spring up around it
just had this happen to me as well, the dragon thing worked. but still bloody annoying
