When ladders are in people will still que unranked with high level Premades;

UNLESS Anet stops them from doing so by coding it in.
Easiest fix is Unranked can only be qued with less then 5.

Courtyard is leaving the rotation so there is hope for Anet yet.

The other way of looking at it is theres no reason not to que ranked.

:) do the math, every match there are 5 winners and 5 losers. However the top 10% players will win almost every match they are in . If there are 1000 matches played every night the top 10% of the players most likely take up a large chunk of those wins by themselves. This means an avg player will have a losing record. In fact I would think unless you are in the top 20% you will most likely be below 50% on the win ratio just because the best players takes up so much of the wins.

So you are saying that the top people group together. And they destroy groups of 5 average players, over and over and over all night…eventually generating a large pool of the average players who are now dispirited and unhappy, and whose rating has plummeted from mostly losing.

I’m watching it right now, noscoc(Team que 5-10) has a full team in unranked just 500 to 0’ing pugs of scrubs.

They don’t que ranked because there’s no leaderboard.

You shouldn’t be able to que unranked with more then 4…
And just farm terribles who just installed gw2.

So right now…there is absolutely no difference between Ranked and Unranked? And after the 16th the only difference will be one is for the leaderboards that can’t even be seen in game, and the other doesn’t affect those leaderboards? If ANet separates players by PvE levels, it will end destroying the game even more. My level 20 characters can now stomp all these newbies.

Yes this would be silly, as PVE level = amount of time spent jamming 1 running around with a zerg..

I think it’s only noobs who even look at pve level and say “oh GG”..
It’s too boring to spam the Level up button on my other characters so most of mine aren’t 80.

Pretty sure you don’t delete your MMR when you delete your character.
Your MMR is profession based.. and doesn’t change based on character.

Disconnecting doesn’t load you through 3 maps now, which is a definite plus.

No 4v5s, unless it’s courtyard.
I can alt tab and not miss a match because of sounds.

Arenanet can easily hot patch it out of ranked, it’s done completely serverside with no downtime but they choose not to.

Yes and they gave it to us Courtyard released April 15, 2014, and we hated it.
So they decided to put it into ranked que.

I’ve been playing this game on and off for a long time now.. and the amount of artbitrary entitlement has only increased with each patch.. it’s like there is no sating these people.. even if they do right (or try to do right.. what the hell courtyard?) Anet gets 1000s of hate posts from people who don’t even play pvp and quit pvp the next day anyway..

I’m sure that players who’ve been waiting for a while for this patch are pretty happy with most of it. (What the kitten courtyard).

No. Their professional skills are balanced around them earning it first by building life force.

This isn’t true, as the necromancer has been balanced mostly with feedback from PVP, and in pvp the necromancer has always had the ability to start the game with around 30% of their life force, so the necromancer has been nerfed pretty hard, and this will be reflected in the stats of wins/losses for organized pvp and also in the next wave of balance.

Hotjoin was never meant to facilitate games, it’s only there to learn and has aptly been renamed “practice”.

My que times have been below the average of 2 minutes. If you can’t wait 2 minutes for a half decent game, then don’t complain.

No Introducing the Game hop now button just to appease people who want to make practice even more unplayable isn’t the answer.

Practice isn’t there to facilitate a good game. it’s there for you to get the lay of the map and maybe practice some rotations/ try new builds.

Ques are like less then 1 minute right now, why not enjoy a 5v5 game from start to finish instead?

Yes, this is how it would work, if you could see the results before you voted.
But you dont’ see the results before you vote. i;e You can’t game the votes unless you’re a try-hard in teamspeak..

Handy way #1; Same people on the same team with the same tag, more then once; PROBABLY a premade.

Handy way #2; Handy invite to party and notice that everyone is in a party on the opposing team, while on your team you can invite 3-4 people.

Handy way #3; Just ask.

When I don’t want to pvp or que times are too long, I can pop out and do the other things.

My pet peeve is if you don’t accept the que; it puts you back in que.

Who thought this was a good idea? You already had elimination TDM in gw1, 3 rounds.

EVEN if you add elimination 3 rounds on courtyard instead of the conquest 500 point system, This game doesn’t work with no objectives.. it’s just a no strategy almost no skill required snoozefest.

There need to be catch up mechanics.

Courtyard is always going to be 0 500

Why? Because it’s an elimination match that keeps going and the other team can never catch up.

Pretty much wvw builds with more cleanses because there is no food that would give you almost condi immunity. Staff/hammer AH guard, shoutheal hambow with banner, staff ele, shadow arts thief. Everything else seems pretty meh.

Meditation guard is pretty terrible in this tbh.

I got the point of the videos, Doing a funky rotation at the beginning of a game doesn’t add skill cap in any way shape or form.

Ele can provide 60+ seconds of swiftness alone.

Even skyhammer you have to think at least a bit, Even if you’re Wombo Combo Engineer458585, you still have to understand that you need to rotate sometimes, maybe smash(+1) fights you’re unlikely to win, or leave points you can’t take.

The responses I’ve heard to courtyard hate are “well you probably didn’t spec for it, or you lost”

I’m spec’d for murder, and I’ve only lost once out of the few times I’ve been unlucky enough to play it.

This game mode boils down to Kill one guy, and cause a snowballing effect.
No thinking required. You just need to win the first fight, and the game is basically over.

Deep freeze is bad game design pure and simple, and smells of Classic Arenanet “Oh This is still in the game?” Just like Stunbreakers not breaking Launches/KBs which was later “Changed” (Read: Fixed)

What’s Wrong with having an cc- Ability which is not broken by Stunbreaks?
One- It’s counter intuitive.
Two- Absolutely OP.
Three- Not Esports.

Nightmare runes and reaper’s protection are just bad game design. They support having bad positioning and getting hit by attacks you should otherwise avoid. They need to either be shortened substantially in duration or have a condition that needs to be met that takes active play by the necro, like dhuum fire.

It is just cancer to fight in 1v1s because you are not beaten by the player but by there passive procs, it feels like fighting a mm or turret engi.
