As Mesmer.. I feel like Thief has a great advantage over me whenever I fight em;
and when I win It’s because I outplayed them, and because I saw them coming, and because they made atleast one mistake.

Most top 100 S/d Sizorkittens will 3 shot me unless I run away..
If they’re D/P or S/P I feel like I have a chance.

Actually these where fights with in the top 1000 Soloq and for a couple weeks I hovered in the 200ish zone in both teamQ and soloQ using this build.

Good at Laming people with his pet.

It’s also a crafting item for artefacing. I’m not sure what it makes, but there it is.

Yup. I sometimes feel like arenanet devs sit around and think of the worst ways to implement something; Okay so we have to get rid of magic find gear.. so instead we’ll give players a long term goal of breaking their fingers salvaging 10000s of items to get negligible bonuses, and we’ll give em useless recipies to combine em.. But lets not let them combine em to the highest value, just to kitten em off even more.

No class has enough stability or stunbreaks to counter all the CC being thrown around on that map.

The best Defense is a good offense; you have to kill the bunker with CC while mitigating their CC.

That’s all there is to it, if there was a class that had enough stability and stunbreaks to counter all the CC it would be the only class played on skyhammer.
Lets call it 5 Guardian or 5 Mesmer team for fun.

You have to redo stories. they take like 15-20 minutes though so it’s not that big a deal.
Unless you pug it.. if you don’t have friends this is a nightmare. PvE heros are worse at Pve then they are at pvp.

Matches don’t start without 10 people present in Solo que would be excellent.
Matches don’t start without 10 people present in Team Que would be awful.

Fight the matches you can win, Dodge the ones you can’t, Top 100 NA all day.
No rewards for Matches Forfeited for either side.
Accounts should be flagged as deserter instantly if they are not logged in. 1 day ban.
Implement Better Rank decay; 20 slots on 2nd day not played. Deserters auto-eat the rank decay and won’t be able to stay on top of the leaderboards.

Also this assumes leaderboards will actually be meaningful at some point in time.

This would really hurt me the most, as I have dc’d pregame 1000 times now.

I don’t think anyone has had enough time to compile a cost/benefit analysis of the paths yet :/

As far as I can tell though if you don’t want obsidian shards and more ascended mats you’re better off doing one of the dungeon tracks, salvaging or mfing the rewards and selling em. You get 3g~ per insignia 35~silver per ecto so you could end up getting an extra 10-15 silver per match.

What do you want out of it? :/
Region tracks give more loot mystic clovers and Obsidian shards.
Dungeon tracks give guaranteed Exotics. (Which you can salvage for ectos, or sometimes if you’re lucky the 3-5g crafting materials)

You’re not gonna get Dat Rich playing pvp, I’d just let it cycle after you get all the guaranteed skins you want.

Which is about 40 wins in soloque @25silver each.

In the old rank system it would take you about a month of games to get to R30 and from then on Bags were pretty much free.

I’ve actually made the claim that you get no karma in pvp other then daily/monthly but You actually get a chance at some karma per Champion bag.
So it’s feasible to obtain karma through pvp , just really ineffective.
(Perhaps larger karma rewards are in order, maybe as a reward from the Rarer Boxes?)

A Ladder system and a form of recognition for teams would be cool, like the WoW arenas.. Still need things like Templates too…

Phantasm mesmers are UP :/ honestly it’s like playing a bad ranger power/pet build.
Theyre good in duels maybe? :/

Turret engies are UP.. it just takes a bit longer to clean the point with ranged phantasms for me. Offers little to no team utility, has to sit home most of the time to be effective.

MM necro is pretty UP now before they could 2v1 all day and not break a sweat.

You get a bunch more money and progression in Soloque.. plus there’s a cap on how much you can progress in hotjoin..

Could be cool to be able to ban certain traits/utilities that make the build in a custum arena :O

Like for phantasms it’d be Illusions deal 15% more damage trait and maybe prismatic understanding.

These type of restrictions are stupid; it should be the devs who make playing double of one class a bad idea.

Double ele meta, Double necro meta, Double warrior meta… :/ These point to the Devs Failing balance to such a degree that whole classes become useless and subpar.

Skyhammer is the only time I have fun playing soloque, because no matter how awful my teammates I Can still do work on the team and win matches we shouldn’t have won.

If its account bound I delete it usually, if it can be sold I will sell it at auction house. You can achieve everything a lot faster in pve, so if your goal is crafting stuff the more useful way is there.

In the rare case of a 500-500 score, personal score decides the winner. How would you replace what decides the winner?

I agree though personal score has little meaning and should explained either at part of the tutorial PvP area or some how through Hot-join.

Until personal score is completely irrelevant we have nothing to decide the outcome of a 500-500 match at the moment.

Yesterday I decided to get my tailoring to lv500 and was more or less successful with
around 15 gold sink.

So you technically can get ascended gear purely from PVP.. you actually get a lot of the mats you need (Gold) in pvp ..

There was also one set of armor skins from tailoring which I Didn’t have so that’s some sweet endgame dress-up goodness for me.

I feel like a lot of stuff is too new to know what to do :/
Like theres tons of information that isn’t really available to PvPers…
For example; dropping Dungeon rewards which you can’t sell and already have into the mystic toilet gets you Skins! or Gold by selling the exotics.

The Wiki is really incomplete and if People contributed more information to it I think we’d be saying “hey these new rewards are OP”..

I feel like the skins at the end of the 5 nondungeon tracks are trash :/ but you get obsidian shards, clovers and the rarer Ascended mats by the truck load… ( I have more then my PvE Friend who has way over 1000 gold)
Maybe we should be able to gamble those in the mystic toilet….

So far I’ve used my gold to buy gems.. and get to tailoring 500 so I can get some of the skins I was missing….
