Pros; Looks super bursty! interrupt on a 9 second cd if you never switch weapons
66% daze duration.. 12 s cd phantasms in one weapon set..
Cons;
Super Duper Low surviveability; Shatter uses Energy sigils for 4 dodging all day but you probably don’t wanna weaponswitch much in this build at all just to get away maybe..
If you get targeted’ you’re probably gone..
One of the worst phantasms in game; disenchanter :/

Phantasms which are constantly melee range like swordsman die instantly with no phantasms trait/sig so you bring little to no sustain and probably would get cleaved instantly.

Something like this could work well in tournaments; Pew pew aoe Dazes aoe knockbacks and aoe shatter dazes everywhere…
You never have to get close to the fight; but if you do you have an answer for lots of classes with staff and energy runes.
Btw illusionary invigoration is 2nd trait only now.

This could be a stronger varient; with more defense from chaos; that 10s of regen is pretty crazy..
You can still spam shatters and also get shatter pull interupt combos; dps from ledges as a backup and lock people for quite a long time..
I dunno just my thoughts IMHO the meta is probably phantasms.. and I’m just here running shatter with the phantasm heal…

dude it’s okay if you team que all day for 50 matches you can get 15 gold per day. and in a couple of weeks you’ll have enough gold to buy the armor that PVE skyhammer masters can buy first day.
Good try; if Team que means nothing solo que means less then nothing and any player playing soloque will tell you it’s 99% luck 1% skill.

Also in regards to skill required; go look up the teams that are up there please tell me how low skill the top 100 players are..

In seriousness though, what you saw was not dueling. We have to ability to change our teams using cheats, which would cause a free-for-all in the lobby. What you really want is only two players hostile towards each other, which is much more complicated that using teams.
Can you do this instead? this sounds much much better Free for all in lobby sounds like the best time Ever, put it on a timer like every 15 minutes o_O
Maybe there can be a free for all pit you can jump into People trying to duel would get angry if other’s jumped in though.
Can we make this pit directly between the PVE portal and the Lion;s Arch portal? and make it pretty much un-avoidable if you wanna go to LA ?

We asked for rewards; for PvP players to get something for their time invested, instead we have a what I would like to call “Lets get PVE players to play PVP” patch,
Road Plan for PVP rewards is heavily PVE biased and some crumbs have accidentally fallen to the pvp community.
*PvE players will be able to use their PvE skins in PvP
*PvE players will gain access to high tier PvP skins through gold.
*PvE players will be able to convert their 100s of skillpoints gained in PvE into PvP
*PvE players will be able to use skyhammer farmed ranks/glory to devalue prestige of PVP
What do Pvp players get?
*A fresh start with an empty bank account!
*A fresh start with 20 skill points if you played for a year and have a birthday gift!
*Gold! That is really an incentive for PVE players to play pvp..
*Magic find! For a mysterious system that may or may not be in place!
*Noobs with Legendaries to farm! Okay this last one is actually pretty good.
Okay it may not be as bad as it sounds but can we please call this the PVE incentive patch? Not the PVP rewards patch?.. because the pvp rewards patch would be paying reparations for all the thousands of tournament wins with no real reward especially now since rank will become meaningless with gold > skins.
I thought about it and 1 million gold entering the economy is probably a slow tuesday PVE champ farm… .. So why not give Tournament Players something for all that time since you removed gems? 20 Silver Per Tournment que won. = 600~ gold maximum over 1200 hours of game time.

I think the gold we are already getting is good enough, 15 gold~ per day is not a bad wage and won’t spike the economy so much that I’ll never be able to spend it on anything other then pvp reward merchants because the economey is royally ******d
One thing I would suggest is Double the Glory required on items and lower the gold value down half. so 60k g> 120kglory and 30 gold.
Im sitting on around 3k wins, at 20 silver per win thats 60,000 silver, or 600 gold. I am not alone in this most of the rest of the top 300 are also sitting on on 600 gold.
The pvp population is around 3,000 people.. (wild overestimate)
so 1 million 800 thousand gold at the very maximum would instantly
enter the economy in one patch cycle.
Not only that, but in anticipation of this change the market would go insane with people scrambling to buy anything that’s not gold as fast as possible, to prepare for the spike causing an even bigger spike.
It’s not stupid.. players like me would be sitting on just ridiculous amounts of gold..
Instantly hundreds of thousands of gold would enter the economy and spike it so hard it would take all year to recover.
Imagine paying 600 gold for 100 gems.. or 3000 gold for a skin ..
The result of a broken economy and I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet maybe because the economist in gw2 is an Ivy league grad….

The amount of balance changes already going in on dec 10 are going to throw the meta for a spin; if you add the tornado that is the new Heal skills you’ll set back balance into the Stone age.
It would be IMHO better not to implement the heal skills at the same time as the balance patch and maybe after you’ve more thoroughly tested them; because I honestly believe some of the healing skills DID NOT go through enough testing/theory crafting on high end players Namely Mesmer and Thief.
Please don’t make another Healing Sig+ZerkStance+HammerBuffs ALL AT ONCE Balance debacle but this time across all professions happen.
This thread is correct. Everyone at the top tier knows it. There’s no reason to further nerf conditions.
The only saving grace for Diamond Skin is that it’s in a terrible trait line. But if elementalists can take it after all the changes, God help us all.
I also disagree that Diamond Skin only hurts condition necromancers and engineers. Being immune to snares and immobilize is hugely damaging to power builds as well.
With nerfs to warrior hammer etc necro was going to be too strong probably; Therefore Nerfbat.
I want to see what the new meta looks like.. but I’m pessimistic about the new heal skills.. Phantasm mesmer might be meta, and that means Im going to reroll to some class that actually takes skill, I don’t know which though..

I think it’s a good idea if you insert gold into pvp you need gold sinks, balances itself out, also PVE players will sink gold in PVP, good changes overall IMHO
Playing bad cheese builds is a sure fire way to never learn to play the game —→ when you get the inevitible nerf bat which takes about 2 months with anet you’ll quit the game because you can’t play anything else.

BAM Completely ridiculous heal skills no one bothered to test since they probably wouldn’t have made it past any good r&d round based on concept alone.
Oh so you wanna take warrior sustain healing.. which the community has denounced completely, which makes warrior one of the easiest classes to achieve high results with skill cieling=Skill floor wombo combo, and give it to Phantasm mesmer one of the lowest skill required most AI dependant builds available? 1. Yes ..25 I believe. .25 .. No DR but stunbreaks and Stability counter CC..
Also CC Kills other Cc, so if you do a 1 second stun right after the warrior stuns for 60 bajillion seconds you overwrite it and target is stunned for 1.
2 Last in First out AFAIK Unless it’s random, and it feels like it is sometimes.. Immobilize lowest priority. Stacks full clear..
I wanna see the new heal skills in action and the actual finished numbers but for now all I can think is… ANET IS WORSE THEN KOREAN MMORPG DEVS AT BALANCE

Instead of ranks, can we get symbols/icons next to our names to display our Ladder position after matches?

Skill points for gold isn’t such a bad idea as long as we earn enough gold to pay for skill points at a competetive ratio with PVE
It takes about an hour~ to get one skill point through just exp in pve from what I remember, Plus you get Skill scrolls if you’re farming champions which are somewhat common…
So; What needs to happen is we should be able to get enough gold to buy a skill point within around 45-60 minutes with soloque as the base line ie:
~5 matches in an hour, Skills cost 5 gold
50 silver per hotjoin.
1 gold per YoloQue match
2 gold per TeamQue match
People trying to duel would get angry if other’s jumped in though.
