Still you have many options like switching to ranged weapons; using thief trap/Thieve’s guild while remaining mostly in stealth.
This could be a new game mode, but I’m not a fan of buffing troll builds like thieves and Prismatic Understanding bad mesmers.

like Low skill cap Phantasm/Prismatic Understanding builds..

Domination XII Confounding Suggestions. Changed to increase daze duration by 25%.
25% duration(Trait)
30% Con.duration(30 Domination)
15% Sigil of Paralysation = Only 70%
You also need to get Runes of the Mesmer 33%
So A full build for what? 1 extra second on daze?
Pretty underwhelming when compared to any good GM traits imho.

ex; 2Chattering skulls+ 2Plastic Teeth= 3 Nougat centers.

What’s the point of bringing a mesmer/thief/ele/ranger when you can just bring 2 warriors?
No one even runs some ridiculous duel build(Which is possible believe me),
the meta warrior is great all around, and it works to great success at extremely low skill levels.

Warriors are really hard to play; you don’t know how hard it is to hit your 3 button wombo combo and if you ever get in trouble pick out one of the three utilities that basically makes you immortal, managing heal signet is really really hard, should I use it now ? Or not use it now, I guess Ill save it for later, yea that’s a good idea.. It’s really hard to get kited by a mesmer for a week at any point you have to make quick decisions, Should I just disengage by flailing my arms and hitting my defensive cooldown? Should I continue trying to spam my wombo combo knowing the mesmer is going to just run away? kitten It why does this fight always take so long, stupid glass mesmers. Necros are really hard to fight too, they just refuse to stand in the same place all the time, you have to chase em and hit em and pop berserker stance, and hit em again, and then they die.
This is not a problem; This is a feature, This is a skillshot that makes/breaks the game.
IF you miss it’s your fault. simple as that.
Skyhammer is my favorite map; Focus/greatsword Mesmer
I’d suggest taking a big position on them while they are worthless; and then waiting till the end of the event; Prices will undoubtedly rise my pvp brethren.
I think Arenanet should take a leaf from the play book of CCP (Eve Online)
Have a player elected congress who they fly out to Seattle chosen by their player communities (PVE/WVWVW/PVP) The vote can be hosted on the forum/website and everyone has to register for a party to vote, Then they can lock the winners in a tiny room like rats, make them fight for their lives and whoever kills the other two gets to influence the direction of the game.

You can now turn those tokens into valueable prizes; Dyes; Magic Find Dust; Unidentified Minipets; etc
Glory can still be used to buy chests; but also allows buying unique weapons at certain ranks at extremely high prices; like at rank 10 you can buy quip for 150k glory. etc.
New Rewards for tournaments like the 5 bags of candy every event.
Rank Rewards from Tournaments now count towards achievements.

You cannot earn any of the Halloween skins from PvP alone this time around. Once our progression/reward system is in place we will be in a much better place for dispersing gear for PvP accomplishments.

My suggestion to anet; let a subcombine for the subcombine for the Gold ticket Drop from gold tourny chests at a good rate, say 25%?
(No mistakes here boss, 1/10 of 1/10 of 1/2) so by at least 200 drops you get the skin you want, AND .. AND .. you drive more people to PVP .

It’s true that we don’t want to create a “monk” style healer/support class like we had in GW1, but we DO want to augment the efficacy of support builds.
And you guys are hitting the nail on the head – we want to make it so that some of the support skills help allies more than they help you, but they do it so well that a support role is justified.
It’s a balance between dedicated support and builds that are entirely self reliant. Once the dues settles on the trait fact pass, we’ll be looking at how to improve the support builds with another round of trait improvements for every class, as well as skill adjustments for each class.
Why is it taking you so long to hotfix mesmer fall damage?

No seriously, never would anyone ever take this trait, and no one ever will, UNLESS it actually does something useful maybe 20k is too much damage, but like.. 5k? that could be worth it.
One thing I hated about this patch is that traits that have ICDs indicated before now has no ICD indicated like Tempest Defense. I mean yeah, the improved tooltips on skills and traits are awesome, but they are still incomplete.

Yea, sounds like meta to waste all your initiative just to spam 1s immobs 3×. How you got 5s from that, I’m not sure. It’s 1s immobs, 4 ini each, 15ini max when traited.
It’s almost like you cant get extra initiative by stealing or have a bigger initiative pool..or regen initiative naturally.
Nor can you switch to shortbow for an extra 2s immob.
Or Run devourer venom, or have venom share or have multiple venoms.. or any of that..
Finally Mesmer useful on khylo… and maybe foefire.

GG anet; nerfing mesmer stuns; I’m okay with it though I now have a good supply of stability and cleanses…
Short bow ranger only works on people who don’t know it applies bleeds when you strafe/turn your back to the ranger….
If you load up a ranger with conditions right after their empathic bond ticks they die. like instantly.
Shortbow ranger 11111 is mitigated by face tanking >.> most people strafe and die and complain though..
Sigil of para nerf, sigil of Impact nerf = Heavy Warrior nerf
Launch/Knockback bugfix = good change all around.
Destroy shadow trap 1.5 cast time for thieves; does this mean what I think it means?
Forum Ghosts used complain, it’s super effective.

Guys… This is an interrupt build discussion, and not a single person mentioned Counter Blade, no wonder it’s had a bug for a year and it hasn’t been fixed. Know your Mesmer!!
With Blade training the cooldown becomes 12 seconds, and with Illusionist celerity 9 (at least it’s supposed to, but it’s bugged). This means that you have an AoE piercing daze for 9 seconds, well 12 because of the bug. Still, with Illusionary riposte not only is it possible to have a 100% uptime of might, but also 25 stacks of it if the circumstances are favorable, not to mention ALL of the effects on interrupt, EVERY 9 (12) SECONDS!! That skill is the lowest CD daze Mesmers have, and it’s so underused in interrupt builds is ridiculous, specially considering most people use MH sword. Here’s a video using it.
I’d give you more credit if this was at least soloque.. but I can probably go in with no traits and kill people in hotjoin.. and make a demo reel of it. I didn’t get the indication that these guys were high class opponents from their/your play..
on second thought that’s a bad idea Id probably get mesmer nerfed…
I’m not trying to insult you, but would please provide some evidence of this build working better then even standard shatter/metacondi mesmer anywhere but hotjoin?
or better yet, are you NA?.. 1v1?
On the note of confusion mesmer;
I get 2 stacks of confusion per popped clone and also bleeds/poisons other conditions whenever I dodge or summon phant/clone. Stacks might not go up very high 6-7 for confusion 14-20 for bleeds but the uptime is pretty scary.
