for me, this is a month to farm dragon coffers and sell them quickly on the trading post as fast as much as possible before the prices go down.
I’m not sure prices will go down much more than they already are. People will be buying these all throughout the event to gamble for Jade weapon skins. Almost everyone I know likes these skins, so they’re much more popular than Fused/Sclerite weapons, which should help keep demand high.
If Rich Dragon Coffers gave out a guaranteed skin, then yes, I would have agreed that demand for normal Coffers would have petered out very quickly.
oooo all the better if the prices do not go down.
this month is a very good month to farm and make monies!
everyone should be happy!
i do not understand why they are complaining!
When ArenaNet can profit on it most
actually it is when nc soft can profit on it most.
If this game really was about WvW and (God help us all) sPvP, let me ask you the following two questions:
1) Why have ALL of the content patches not included ANY WvW additional maps, buildings, areas or equipment (apart from traps, which are a gimmick at best)? There have been minor changes, no focus on it by the developers at all.2) Why has every single content patch included new PVE instances, events and areas?
You just WANT what you are saying to be true…but sadly I think you bought the wrong game.
Edit: there was an announcement that they are making some changes to the way WvW rewards people….but nothing about new content.
this is due to nc soft realizing only PvE focused people are more likely to spend real dollars on gems.
hence, nc soft ordered anet to focus on PvE content in order to farm the PvE focused people.
to see it as Battlefield / Counterstrike with a meaty story / campaign mode.
moving players to WvW and PvP where the heart of the game is.
WvW and sPvP is the game itself.
Also, if you look at it, we paid 60-70 bucks for a game (with no subscriptions) but offers us 3 different game modes – emphasizing on 1 aspect (PvE) would prevent you from extracting the full value out of the game.
for me, after trying out gw2 during beta weekend. i always tell others that gw2 is 3 in 1 games
1. open world PvE – skyrim with friends.
2. WvW – dynasty warriors, romance of the 3 kingdoms
3. sPvP – team fortress 2
unfortunately, nc soft realized that only the #1 group of players are farm-able. hence nc soft ordered anet to please the #1 group of people only.
another problem with the #1 group of players is that they absolutely refuse to try out game modes #2 and #3.
pesky carebears they are. pffft.
report them.
u should not have told him to shut up though.
i think it will be opened to the public soon?
when we talk to the dragon ball NPC:
“Hello! Do you want to play Dragon Ball?”
1. Yes! (join random game)
2. Open PvP Browser
Server 001 10/10
Server 002 9/10
Server 003 10/10
Server 004 8/10
Server 005 10/10
…
Server 015 4/10
Server 016 6/10
Server 017 7/10
…
Server 031 2/10
Server 032 3/10
Server 033 5/10
…
Server 100 0/10
it may be too late for a pvp browser for dragon ball, but if we make enough noise, i believe we may be able to make a difference for future games.
or even keg brawl!
i know i want a pvp browser for dragon ball!
what about you?
for me, this is a month to farm dragon coffers and sell them quickly on the trading post as fast as much as possible before the prices go down.
they sell for average 5s per box.
some one reported farming over 2000 boxes over 6 hours.
that is about 333+ boxes in a hour. not sure how he managed that.
I support anet by buying things like character slots/cosmetics not chests.
actually you support nc soft by buying gems with real dollars. anet does not get anything from the gem sales. anet only gets what nc soft gives them.
for me, i only want to spend on character slots, bag slots, bank slots, bank upgrades, cosmetics maybe.
and yes it would be nice if we can sell the tickets or give them away.
i dun fancy the dragon weapons myself.
2000 × 5 silvers = 10,000 silvers or 100 gold
i would have sold them all and get myself 100 gold.
well minus 15% tax gets me 85+ gold.
forcing lowbies out of having a real chance at completing content, since this game’s weird currency system means if you’re in your 40s or 50s and lower you’re going to be out of money in just a few unlucky races.
the moa racing is permanent. no hurry there.
they can farm dragon coffers, sell them, then bet on races.
lost monies on moa races?
farm more dragon coffers and sell them to recoup the loses.
especially with the pinatas and holo projectors. This game was built around being cooperative and fun to have friends around and now these two things have taken a complete 180 on that concept.
what are you talking about? pinata behave like resources nodes, instanced for each character.
holographic projectors are competitive though.
yes, every man / guild party for himself / themselves.
use a spread sheet to record the results.
then bet accordingly.
farm dragon coffers and sell them to recoup your loses.
keep trying until u get a group that sticks together.
u need to zerg in order to win in this game.
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!
you dun need to buy a legendary or make one.
it is not compulsory.
We are DPS machines, it is just that we have a less than reliable way and that we are easily stopped from being who we are meant to be.
are we forgetting that guild wars 2 is a team game?
warriors can easily cut down a victim provided that the warrior’s team mates have locked down the victim in place, exhausted the victim’s stun breakers, escape moves etc.
Hmm okay. Yeah I guess I can see that.
My only half complaint about it (and it’s just that half a complaint) is that a lot of people find the PvP browser confusing. It’s fine if you PvP all the time, but do you know how many people try to join a game, end up in observation mode and can’t figure out why they can’t use their skills? lol
“end up in observation mode and can’t figure out why they can’t use their skills?”
aye, this would be a problem that the recently added spectator mode introduced.
that’s why in sPvP for 8 vs 8 games, i do not join 16/20 rooms.
i go for those 10 – 14/20 rooms.
those 4/20 rooms tend to be dueling rooms >.<
well, for a dragon ball pvp browser, we could always make the NPC have these options:
Hello. Are you here to join the Dragon Ball? This is the most amazing sport that you will ever try.
1. I’m ready to play. (joins a random server with a slot)
2. I’ll consider it. (opens pvp browser)
or other more suitable dialog lines. >.<
I’d go for it for Keg Brawl, but I suspect there’d be a lot of queues, unless it was your guild playing your guild.
I just don’t think Anet wants to divide the player base that way.
it would just a simple pvp browser like the current one we have in the heart of the mists
i.e.
Server 001 – 10/10
Server 002 – 9/10
Server 003 – 10/10
Server 004 – 8/10
Server 005 – 10/10
…
Server 100 – 4/10
etc
no queues. just a browser.

i think there will be new content every month!
or just give us pvp browser.
everyone will be happy.
edited topic to match the current events.
adding a pvp browser would make everyone happy.
let them know what we want.
so things may be different in the future.
the problem with people is that they dun unite together towards a common goal.
if a lot of people made a fuss about this, things may be different in the future.
a lot of people just dun care enough.
and give us server browsers for them pretty please with ice cream on top.
“We’ll teach others how to fight against the dead ships using Charr weaponry, Asuran innovation, and Human courage.”
lul he forgot to mention norn and sylvari.
just let guilds members play in their own rooms.
only guild members vs guild members.
everyone is happy.
this is working as intended.
does not need to change.
got 28 or 29 days of dragon bash festival.
need 100,000 candies.
that is like around 3500 per day.
yay farming.
i’ll keep them. then spend them slowly when as i see fit
make a new slot in our (H) hero panel.
an inventory slot.
we slot them in there, and there a small check box to tick to show or hide.
just like our
- helms
- shoulders
- gloves
- back piece
ya. i got it right. my guild member got it wrong.
from here:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/june-11-2013/
this better describes it:
Horns of the Dragon
This unique helm is only available to players who attend an entire fireworks show in Lion’s Arch, which occurs every two hours during the in-game evening from June 14 to June 17.
i.e. we got 36 chances to get one helm.
possible to get more.
The fireworks last 5 minutes. If you stay through the whole thing you get the helm. Every 2 hours within that 3 day period the fireworks will start over again (meaning you have 12 chances to get this each day).
ah i see. thanks!
i thought so too initially.
then a guild member said we can only get it on the final day.
i thought it sounds absurd.
then i realized anet has done absurd one time events before.
so here i am asking to be sure.
thanks again !!!
does this also means we can get one helm for each of our characters?
crossbows !!!
Gatling chain gun !!!
Dragon Bash Fireworks – June 14-17
Watch the skies above Lion’s Arch come alive with an explosive fireworks show every night in-game. The fireworks begin at 9AM PDT on Friday, June 14 and will go off every two hours until 12PM PDT Monday, June 17. Stay through the spectacular finale and receive a unique festival helm – The Horns of the Dragon!
so …
“Stay through the spectacular finale and receive a unique festival helm – The Horns of the Dragon!”
does this means, we can have only once chance get the helm on 18th June 03:00amTuesday for GMT +8:00 time zone?
please tell me that i am wrong.
i.e. starting 0:00 15 June Saturday GMT +8:00 every 2 hours we have a chance to get the helm. we just need to stay and watch the fireworks from start till finish every 2 hours.
no?
ARE YOU KITTENING KIDDING ME?
how do u know they are using macros?
2. it should NOT be block-able since it is NOT an attack
I think making this skill unblockable is a really nice buff against guardians
well, it is not an attack so it should not be blocked in the first place.
“Aegis” states very clearly that it only blocks attacks that do direct damage.
by the way, who uses this skill in sPvP?
in those non tournament 5 vs 5 or 8 vs 8 games.
I think its fine. It has a long cooldown because its AOE, Instant so hard to predict, can be shortened by Shout reduction, and can cc for a full 3 seconds in melee range on multiple enemies. A long CD for this is just the nature of the beast. Don’t use it if you don’t like how it plays out, because it actually is a very good ability as it stands. If they nerfed the CD, with all the potential it ahs to change team fights, it’s fear durations would have to be nerfed. :/
pls fix the bugs if the 80 seconds recharge time is to be maintained.
1. it should NOT miss since it is NOT an attack
2. it should NOT be block-able since it is NOT an attack
Hero XP, that sounds a lot better than World XP, that’s a great suggestion, thanks.
As for the abilities, those small advantages would be great, if they are temporary for example 10 in game hours or so.
i think someone suggested something similar in the suggestions forum but did not get much attention though.
well, i thinks folks would enjoy permanent things more though.
little buffs would not hurt right?
i.e.
+1% dmg to drakes
+2% dmg to drakes
…
It’s similar to daily / laurels system, but unlike that system it will give “some” progression, since you would be able to earn skins or titles by gaining World XP levels in PVE.
maybe call it Hero XP or something.
since World XP is for WvW ranks and abilities.
this “hero xp” would have hero ranks and abilities.
abilities that boost PvE abilities etc.
i.e.
Drake Slayer – do more damage to drakes
Skelk Slayer – do more damage to skelks
etc PvE abilities
sPvP is rewarding for me as i enjoy myself shooting up people with the canon.
The old SA had 50% damage reduction for 11 seconds on a 60 second cooldown, and it clearly made necros totally OP.
actually that sounds very reasonable.
Spectral Armor! 90s Recharge time is NOT reasonable.
ya why that skill got a 90s recharge time?
Fear was originally a necro exclusive condi. Why they gave it to other classes is beyond me.
whoever gave you that idea is beyond me.
Fear: is exclusive to Necromancers, allowing them to instill fear in enemies causing them to run away for a short period – allowing team mates to be revived or helped.
When anet 1st released that they were making the necromancer class for guild wars 2.
So Anet gave me that idea. kkthxbyehfl2google
well anet changes their mind often.
learn to accept changes.
i play a naked warrior with running boots.
i’m having fun blowing up people with the cannon.
Fear was originally a necro exclusive condi. Why they gave it to other classes is beyond me.
whoever gave you that idea is beyond me.
^ fear me has a radius of 600
epidemic has a radius of 600
so you are saying,
1. warrior fears me sends victim running into a nearby group, range further than 600
2. fear duration was 4s, 2s remaining when victim reaches nearby group
3. necro epidemic the original victim
4. 5 targets near the original victim gets 2s of remaining fear
and … that is OP?
The potential for a 4+s fear (full investment in condi duration) getting epidemiced by a necro on your team is disgusting.
what are you talking about?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Epidemic
Apply vulnerability on yourself. Spread conditions on a target foe to all nearby foes.
“Fear Me!” already gives fear to 5 targets near the warrior.
would Epidemic increase the duration by another 4 seconds? i think not.
Serious question, has anyone actually played keg brawl?
i did. i played keg brawl before.
good fun!
but … there is so much things to do in guild wars 2.
at least for me.
and there are also other games that i need to explore as well.
